The organizers of Elements Music & Arts Festival have revealed the first phase of what they’re calling their “biggest lineup ever.”
Scheduled for August 10-14 in Long Pond, Pennsylvania, the sixth edition of the music and camping festival is returning with a lineup twice the size of its prior events. Over 100 artists will perform across 10 stages, including Skrillex, Chris Lake, John Summit, Subtronics, Ganja White Night, TOKiMONSTA and Tchami.
Other notable artists from the worlds of funk and electronic music include LP Giobbi, LSDREAM, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Tinlicker and Mersiv. Porter Robinson, whose stunning “Nurture Live” performances have dropped the collective jaw of the EDM community, has been confirmed for a DJ set at Elements 2023.
The massive lineup is the latest move by Elements to restore the confidence of its target market after their controversial 2021 festival, which fell into disarray after a storm ravaged its Lakewood grounds. Three plaintiffs filed a class action lawsuit in the wake of the event before its organizers revealed a “roadmap,” which detailed their plans to address many of the infrastructure-related challenges.

We congratulate those who are taking responsibility and action, and stress there is much work still to be done.”
“Not knowing where to begin, AGF has now provided Creative Youth with the guidance, support and tools we need to track and improve our environmental footprint,” added Louise Coles, CEO of the London-based charity Creative Youth. “Their work, and continued involvement, will ensure we become a responsible role model to all the young artists/companies we support through our Festival, creative space and other programmes.”
Ultra Music Festival‘s grand plans are coming together in the Abu Dhabi region with an awe-inspiring lineup to match.

A recent review conducted by Good Night Out Vancouver revealed a lack of “easily accessible information” on sexual harassment and assault prevention on the websites of North American EDM festivals.
Good Night Out Vancouver, which provides education and training to support safe dancefloors in nightlife, said 2022 “was another year full of allegations of sexual assault in EDM.” The organization examined the websites of 30 large North American music festivals in search of codes of conduct, sexual violence policies, information on staff training and “any reference to consent or harassment,” among other points.
Good Night Out Vancouver
23% had an easily accessible code of conduct or sexual violence policy, according to Good Night Out Vancouver. Only one festival, Bass Coast, was found to have both. Interestingly, the review also claims that more websites had language concerning the safe use of totems than sexual violence or consent.

The review urges these festivals to publish dedicated “community” pages on their websites and provide a library of resources, improve staff training and revisit communication strategies ahead of the 2023 season.
Landing in Düsseldorf to close out a banner year for BigCityBeats, WORLD CLUB DOME reinforced itself in 2022 as the “biggest club in the world.”
We were on the ground in Germany for WORLD CLUB DOME: Winter Edition, which returned to the gigantic Merkur Spiel-Arena from December 16-17 with a colossal lineup of 150 artists, who took the decks at the festival’s 15 stages.
BigCityBeats, one of Europe’s most successful events brands for almost two decades now, remains laser-focused on innovation. A label, radio show, merchandise distributor and events producer, the company has curated unique dance music experiences throughout and beyond Europe, from Asia to the Caribbean and even into outer space back in 2019.
2022’s Winter Edition saw BigCityBeats’ founder and CEO Bernd Breiter pull out all the stops to curate a memorable raving experience—and it’s safe to say he delivered in spades.
“We give the best acts of each genre a playroom where they can perform in, so if maybe a hip-hop superstar is performing at the arena and someone wants to listen to techno, they can go to the club circle,” Breiter told EDM.com. “The magic thing is that you can walk from club to club and jump into completely different dance music styles, while always having the ability to open the doors and visit the biggest dancefloor in the world.”
Spanning two nights, Winter Edition combined a massive mainstage with over a dozen smaller club stages, conveniently set up all around the stadium’s corridors. The shrewd setup was amplified by dazzling lasers, captivating visuals, explosive pyrotechnics and much more.
The mainstage featured DJ sets from dance music stars Regard, Boris Brejcha, Robin Schulz, Don Diablo and more, while German rappers Haftbefehl and CRO infused a hip-hop edge. The second night was just as explosive, with Reinier Zonneveld, Timmy Trumpet and more taking the decks. German rap star Luciano also shook up the Merkur Spiel-Arena and Swedish House Mafia’s Axwell celebrated his birthday onstage in an incredible moment.

One of the festival’s most electrifying performances came from the red-hot James Hype.
“WORLD CLUB DOME is super exciting. It was the first festival I ever came to in Germany, and the energy from the German crowd is so good,” Hype told us before taking the stage. “The last WORLD CLUB DOME I went to was a wild experience. They had supercars and helicopters and loads of other cool stuff. I’m very excited to perform tonight.”

The smaller club stages positioned around the mainstage, on the other hand, made for a truly personal feel. Alle Farben, Andhim, Maddix, LNY TNZ, Hugel, and many more threw down, while Spinnin’, Acid Wars and Bass Division hosted their own stages, among others.
With an attendance of almost 40,000, Winter Edition 2023 was a huge success. During the event’s closing ceremony, Breiter was joined onstage by ESA astronaut Dr. Matthias Maurer and Dr. Antje Boetius, director of the Alfred Wegener Institute, to give fans a preview of what BigCityBeats has in store for 2023.
David Seeger
WORLD CLUB DOME’s Atlantis Edition is coming to Frankfurt June 9-11, celebrating the event’s 10-year anniversary. The first phase of Atlantis Edition’s lineup was just announced and includes Claptone, David Guetta, MORTEN, Steve Aoki and more. Its Malta Edition will follow in August.
“Connecting science and entertainment is fundamental in reaching young people,” Breiter said about his vision for Atlantis. “We live in a delicate world and need to make scientific topics and content accessible to everyone to secure the future of our planet.”
