    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

    We love pecan pie and we love the flavor of maple so this is the perfect combination! These bars are so good and come together with ease. They set up really well and we enjoyed them for a family gathering and everyone agreed they were great. They also keep well in an air tight container. This is a recipe you can make a day in advance; we actually thought they were better the next day.

    SWAPS

    We use rolled oats but you could use instant oats too. We also used 2 cups of all-purpose flour, but you could do 1 cup of whole wheat and 1 cup of all-purpose. We like the whole pecans but you could chop them up if you like.

    I did put these in the fridge to help them set and they set up perfect. I had to let them sit to room temperature to cut them. These were an immediate hit!

    Total Time 1 hour 5 minutes

    Course Dessert

    Cuisine American

    Crust:

    • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs I put the crackers in a plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin until I get a cup
    • 2 cups all-purpose flour could use 1 cup of all-purpose and 1 cup whole wheat
    • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats uncooked (could use the minute or instant oats)
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 1 1/2 sticks or 12 tablespoons or 3/4 cup butter softened

    Topping for Crust:

    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • 1 cup maple syrup
    • 4 tablespoons butter melted
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 3 eggs
    • 3 1/2 cups pecan halves
    • In a mixing bowl combine the graham cracker crumbs, all-purpose flour, rolled oats and brown sugar. Whisk together with wire whisk. Cut in the butter until mixture is like coarse crumbs. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with cooking spray and press crust into bottom of dish. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. Remove and set aside,

    Topping Instructions:

    • Combine brown sugar, maple syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt in a bowl and mix well with a spoon. Add in eggs and continue mixing with spoon. Add pecans and mix. Spread mixture over the crust. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 10 minutes, reduce heat to 350 and bake 30 more minutes until filling is set. Let cool before cutting in squares.

    We set these in the fridge to help them set up. We also let them sit out for about 10 minutes to cut.

    If you love pumpkin, then you must make this bread! It’s simple to make and one of our favorites.

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

    Well.. we love this recipe because we love pumpkin and we love pecans and this recipe just works. It’s moist and loaded in flavor and so easy to make! No mixer needed and comes together quickly. The streusel topping really takes this bread to the next leve and it stays put on the bread, which is a plus!

    SWAPS & ADDITIONS

    This recipe calls for buttermilk and we suggest you use it to make this recipe. Buttermilk adds a level of fat to this recipe, making it even more moist. You could use walnuts in this recipe as well. Someone commented they drizzled caramel sauce over the top and it was a hit. Another person commented they doubled the pumpkin pie spice. If you love the extra spice then by all means double it!

    Recently remade this bread and used parchment paper in the pan. It was an easy way to remove the bread from the pan in one piece. It worked perfectly. This brea also rises quite a bit but it didn’t run over at all. This is also made with 100% pumpkin puree, not pumpkin mix. Make sure you get the correct kind. One of the key parts of this recipe is putting the streusel topping in the refrigerator the way it says in the directions.

    This pumpkin pecan bread is amazing! It is super easy to make and has fantastic reviews. Add this one to your recipe list.

    Course bread, Breakfast, Dessert

    Cuisine American, southern

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 stick butter or 8 tablespoons or 1/2 cup melted
    • 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
    • 1 cup 100% pumpkin I use Libbys canned pure pumpkin
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 teaspoon of Pumpkin Spice
    • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
    • 2/3 cup buttermilk

    Streusel Topping Ingredients:

    • 1/2 cup brown sugar separated 1/4 cup and 1/4 cup
    • 3 tablespoons butter melted
    • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons flour
    • 1/2 cup roughly chopped pecans
    • Prepare your streusel topping: add the 1/4 the cup brown sugar and the melted butter to a bowl, and using a fork, mix to blend; add in the flour, and gently toss/fluff the mixture with the fork until the flour is incorporated, and the mixture looks like a bit like “wet sand” crumbles; set the streusel into the fridge to chill. Set aside the other 1/4th cup of brown sugar and pecans.

    • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice and salt in a large bowl and set aside. Combine melted butter, sugar, pumpkin, eggs and vanilla extract. Stir together with a spoon. Add to flour mixture and mix well with spoon. Stir in buttermilk. Spray a 9 x 5 loaf pan with cooking spray and add batter to pan.

    • Remove streusel from fridge and add the pecans and remaining brown sugar. Mix together and sprinkle over top of bread. Pat down a little with a fork so it will stick to the batter.

    • Cook for 60 minutes or until center test done.

    If you think you’ll have a tough time removing the bread from the pan, you can always spray your bread pan with nonstick spray and then line it with parchment paper. Make sure your piece of parchment paper is around three times the size of your loaf pan so that there’s an overhang on the two long sides.  Then add in your batter. This will help in removing your bread when it’s done.
    This bread is made with 100% pure pumpkin puree (I used Libby’s canned pumpkin), not canned pumpkin pie MIX.

This delicious dessert is perfect for the holiday season, and it never lasts long at a tailgate either. No mixer needed for this easy pie, and it’s perfect topped with whipped topping or ice cream.

    SWAPS & ADDITIONS

    You can substitute the pecans with walnuts. Can substitute 1/4 cup peanut butter for the coconut or sub another 1/4 cup chocolate chips for the coconut.

    This pumpkin crisp is so easy to make and perfect for any holiday gathering! The crisp topping really is wonderful with ice cream or whipped cream. This dessert is also great for any potluck, the flavors are delicous. We use a yellow cake mix to make the topping and find that it works very well.

    SWAPS

    We use pumpkin pie spice but you could switch it out for cinnamon. We use heavy cream, we have also made it with evaporated milk and it was great. We use a yellow cake mix but I do think a spice cake would be good too, as somone recommended in the comments.

    • 1 15 ounce can 100% pumpkin
    • 1 cup heavy cream can use evaporated milk
    • 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
    • 1 15.25 ounce box yellow cake mix
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 1 cup quick cooking oats
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    • 1 cup chopped nuts pecans or walnuts
    • 1 cup or 16 tablespoon or 2 sticks butter melted
    • Combine pumpkin, evaporated milk, sugar, vanilla extract, pumpkin pie spice and mix with a mixer.  Add to a 9 x 13 baking dish spreading over bottom of dish.

    • In a bowl whisk together cake mix, brown sugar, oats and ground nutmeg.  Spread over pumpkin mixture in dish.  Sprinkle nuts on top.  Pour melted butter over all making sure the entire top is wet with the butter.

    • Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 50 to 55 minutes until top is browned.

  • Are you a Payday Candy Bar Fan??? These are only a few ingredients..

    These Salted Nut Roll Bars are so easy to make and an absolute hit! Great addition to any gathering.

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

    We have always been big fans of the Payday Candy Bar, and this is pretty much the homemade version. We all agree it’s even better and that it’s only a few ingredients that make it an even bigger winner! You can make these in about 15 minutes and then just put them in the refrigerator to chill. We have made these for a few gatherings and so easy, just cut them in small pieces and enjoy!

    SWAPS

    We once made these with fat-free sweetened condensed milk, and they turned out good. You can also add in some Reese’s Pieces on the top if you like, or M&M’s. We like them made the original way but they are versatile. Some people use other nuts like pecans and switch up the peanut butter chips for butterscotch or chocolate, but if you want them to taste like payday, stick with this recipe.

    These can be hard right out of the fridge, so we set them out for 5-10 minutes and then cut them. You can freeze them in an air-tight container up to a few months, just thaw and enjoy.

    These salted nut roll bars taste just like a payday candy bar. Only a few ingredients and so easy to make! Graet for any occasion.

    Course candy

    Cuisine American

    • 4 tablespoons butter
    • 1 10 ounce bag peanut butter chips (like chocolate chips but made of peanut butter)
    • 2 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
    • 1 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk (I used the fat free and it worked fine in this recipe)
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 16 ounce jar dry roasted and salted peanuts (divided)
    • In a pan on top of the stove melt the butter and chips together.  Add in marshmallows and milk and bring to a boil stirring constantly.  Turn heat down to a low boil and cook for 5 minutes stirring the entire time.  Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.

    • Spray a 9 x 9 baking dish with cooking spray and put half the peanuts in the bottom of the dish.  Pour melted ingredients over the peanuts and spread to cover.  Add the other half of the peanuts to the top and kind of mash into the cooked ingredients.  Refrigerate for at least a couple hours.

    • Remove and cut into squares or bars.  Makes 1 to 1 1/2 dozen pieces depending on size you cut them.

    • 2 2/3 cup of all purpose flour
    • 2 teaspoons baking soda
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
    • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
    • 1 15 ounce can pumpkin puree (we like Libby’s)
    • 3/4 cup dark or light brown sugar packed
    • 1 cup vegetable oil
    • 1/2 cup of white granulated sugar
    • 4 eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • Nuts optional

    Cream Cheese Filling

    • 1 egg
    • 12 ounces of cream cheese we use full fat
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1/4 cup white granulated sugar

    Powdered Sugar Glaze

    • 1 cup of powdered sugar
    • 2-3 teaspoons of milk

    Cream Cheese Filling Instructions:

    • Combine all ingredients with a mixer.

    • Add cream cheese mixture on top of the pumpkin mixture. Next add the remaining pumpkin mixture and swirl gently with a knife. Sprinkle nuts on top.

    • Bake for 35-40 minutes or when the center test done.

    • Combine powdered sugar ingredients and add glaze. Enjoy.

    I believe you could substitute pumpkin pie spice for all the spices, except the cinnamon. 2 tablespoons of pumpkin pie spice should work. 
     
    We refrigerate this cake.

    This Cornbread Pudding is a wonderful side dish and has a great texture. We love it year round but it’s perfect for the holiday season.

    If you love this dish you will also want to try our Southern Cornbread Dressing. It is one of our most popular holiday recipes.

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

    This is a great dish that can go with just about any meal. We love it with chili during the Fall season or with our delicious Mississippi Pot Roast. It’s delicious with gravy over it or slathered in butter. Super easy to make and always a hit! You will find this recipe made with Jiffy Mix but this one is from scratch. We prefer this one.

    🍴KEY INGREDIENTS

    • Self Rising Cornmeal Mix
    • Can of whole kernal corn
    • Can of cream style corn
    • Eggs
    • Butter
    • Buttermilk
    • Onion
    • Salt
    • Shredded Cheddar Cheese

    SWAPS

    You can leave the onion out if you are not a fan, and you can also switch up the cheese. We have only made this with buttermilk because we like the added fat that buttermilk provides.

    🍽️HOW TO MAKE

    This is an easy dish to throw together. However, if you live in an area where it is hard to find the self-rising cornmeal mix, you can make your own. This easy tip will help you to make this recipe.

    📖COOKING STEPS

    Step 1
    Mix cornmeal with whole kernel corn and cream style corn with a spoon; add eggs and butter and continue mixing. Add onion, salt, buttermilk and 1 cup of the shredded cheese. Pour into a sprayed casserole dish.

    Step 2
    Sprinkle remaining cup of shredded cheese on top. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven 35 to 40 minutes until brown on top. Makes about 12 large servings (I use a 10X10 baking dish)

    • 1 stick butter or margarine or 1/2 cup or 8 tablespoons melted
    • 1/4 cup green onion chopped (can use regular onion)
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 cup buttermilk
    • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided (Can use any kind of cheese you like)
    • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a casserole dish.

    • white granulated sugar
    • evaporated milk
    • corn syrup
    • butter
    • vanilla extract
    • pecans

    🍽️HOW TO MAKE

    These are pretty simple to make with only a few ingredients. You will find the FULL printable recipe in the recipe card below.

    COOKING STEPS

    Step 1
    Combine sugar, milk, corn syrup and butter in a pan on top of the stove.  Bring to a rolling boil and cook for 4 minutes, stirring often.

    Step 2
    Remove from heat and add vanilla extract, pecans and coconut.  Stir for several minutes until mixture starts to thicken. Takes about 3 to 4 minutes.

    Step 3

    • 2 1/2 cups white granulated sugar
    • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
    • 1/2 cup corn syrup
    • 1 stick butter or 1/2 cup or 8 tablespoons
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • 2 cups pecan pieces
    • 2 1/4 cups coconut
    • Combine sugar, milk, corn syrup and butter in a pan on top of the stove.  Bring to a rolling boil and cook for 4 minutes, stirring often.

    • Remove from heat and add vanilla extract, pecans and coconut.  Stir for several minutes until mixture starts to thicken. Takes about 3 to 4 minutes.

    • Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper.  Refrigerate or put in cool place until hardens.  Makes about 36 pralines.

    These No Bake Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies are some of our favorites! They only have a few ingredients, and are super easy to make.

    No Bake Peanut Butter  Oatmeal Cookies

    If you love these cookies, you will also love the chocolate version. Both are super easy to make and always a hit for any gathering.

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

    There are so many different ways to make these no-bake cookies but this is one of my favorites. I cannot leave these cookies alone when they are in the house. I like how easy they are to make and they are always a hit when I serve them. Plus the fact that they are only a few ingredients is just a bonus!

    🍴KEY INGREDIENTS

    • Sugar
    • Butter
    • Evaporated milk (can use regular milk)
    • Vanilla extract
    • Peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
    • Quick-cooking oats, uncooked

    SWAPS

    We like these best with the creamy peanut butter but they are delicious either way.

    🍽️HOW TO MAKE

    Super simple to make and the trick is to make sure it is BOILING. You can’t just let it come to a little boil, it needs to be a hard boil so they will harden. Full recipe in printable recipe card below.

    📖COOKING STEPS

    Step 1
    Combine sugar, butter and milk in a pan on top of the stove. Bring to a hard boil and boil for 1 minute, stirring to make sure the ingredients do not stick.

    Step 2
    Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and peanut butter until mixture is melted and smooth. Fold in oats and drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper. Let cool. Makes about 24 cookies depending on size you make them. Please see notes in recipe card.

    You can very versatile with these cookies, I made these with smooth peanut butter and added a cup of chopped pecans. Some of you seem to be having trouble with these cookies. You have to bring them to a hard rolling boil before dropping on wax paper. Once you drop them on the paper, move to a cool place to harden. You could put in the refrigerator or even the freezer for a while. Once they are hard keep in an airtight container in a cool place. I have kept them up to two weeks.

    This easy toffee recipe is perfect for the holiday season. Super versatile and makes a great gift too!

    If you love this recipe, you must give these Graham Cracker Pralines a try, too! They go great with this toffee, and if you are making holiday gift baskets, they are both wonderful additions.

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

    Make this saltine cracker toffee just to have in the house for something sweet or make it for a wonderful gift for a friend.  You can add all kinds of options to this candy.  Whatever you and your family likes will probably work in this toffee recipe.  You can leave off the nuts.  You can add coconut, raisins, crushed cereal and you can change out the crackers for graham crackers, Ritz crackers.

    🍴KEY INGREDIENTS

    • Saltine crackers
    • Butter (don’t use margarine)
    • Brown sugar
    • Chocolate chips
    • Chopped nuts, (pecans, walnuts, almonds, peanuts or whatever you like.  You can toast nuts if you want.)

    GREAT ADDITIONS

    You can add raisins or coconuts, remove the nuts, add M&Ms or cereal, or crush up peppermints to make them more festive. There are lots of great options for this recipe.

    📖COOKING STEPS

    Step 1
    Cover a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper and spray with cooking spray. I used an 18 x 13 x 1 inch pan.  You need the lip on the pan to keep liquid from running off in your oven.  Spread the crackers on the pan like in the photo below.  In a pan on top of the stove combine the butter and brown sugar. Bring to a boil on medium heat and then boil for 3 minutes.  DO NOT STIR WHILE BOILING.

    Step 2
    Remove from stove after boiling 3 minutes and spread over the saltine crackers with a knife. The mixture should be at soft ball stage or should make a soft ball when a little is dropped in ice water.  Have your oven preheated to 400 degrees.  Read more below.

    • 1 cup butter don’t use margarine
    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • 1 3/4 cups chocolate chips
    • 1 cup chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, almonds, peanuts or whatever you like.  You can toast nuts if you want.)

    This is such a unique cake, made with a cake mix, but taken up a few levels! It’s so good and one your family will love!

    Earthquake Cake

    If you love this recipe you will want to try this Turtle Cake! It’s delicious topped with ice cream.

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

    They call it earthquake cake because it will crack in the middle in some recipes.  This one does not crack because I do it a little different.  I can’t leave this cake alone when I make it because I love chocolate and this is a chocolate lovers dream. This cake will melt in your mouth!

    🍴KEY INGREDIENTS

    • Nuts (I use walnuts. Pecans would be good, too)
    • Coconut
    • German chocolate cake mix or regular chocolate cake mix
    • Milk
    • Butter
    • Cream cheese
    • Powdered sugar
    • Chocolate chips

    SWAPS

     You can make this cake with other cake mixes, too.  I like to divide the cake mix because I think it makes a much prettier cake. You can just put in all the cake mix and put the cream cheese mixture on top and bake. We have also made this with spice cake mix and using butterscotch chips. It was delicious.

    🍽️HOW TO MAKE

    This cake comes together really quickly and it’s wonderful topped with ice cream. Full printable recipe in recipe card below.

    📖COOKING STEPS

    Step 1
    Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish. Sprinkle the nuts on the bottom of the dish. Layer the coconut on top of the nuts. In a separate bowl prepare the cake mix according to package directions except use the 1 cup of milk in place of the water called for in the directions on the box. Spread half the cake mixture over the coconut.

    Step 2
    In a microwave safe glass bowl melt the butter and cream cheese. This takes about 2 minutes in my microwave. Whisk the powdered sugar or mix with mixer into the cream cheese and melted butter. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the layer of cake mix in the baking dish. (You can drop it by spoon fulls if you want). Read step 3 below in the recipe card.

    All ovens vary, and you want to cook this until it tests done. As you can see from some of the comments, it may take up to an hour to cook. We love this cake heated up with vanilla ice cream. It’s so good!!

    These easy biscuit sticky buns are made with canned biscuits and are can be made in a jiffy. I love this recipe because it only requires a few ingredients but they are remarkably good. I have made these sticky buns for several overnight guests and they always rave about how delicious they are. I love a recipe that is great for entertaining but easy enough for any day of the week!

    🍴KEY INGREDIENTS

    • Refrigerated canned biscuits
    • Crushed pecans
    • Caramel sauce (I use the store-bought caramel sauce that you put on ice cream)
    • Cinnamon
    • Sugar Mix ingredients:
    • White sugar
    • Cinnamon

    🍽️HOW TO MAKE

    Super easy and one of the best things about this dish, is you only need about 2 dishes to make this so not a lot of clean up!

    COOKING STEPS

    Step 1
    Preheat the oven to what is stated on the biscuit package. Place crushed pecans in the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan. Pour caramel over the pecans and sprinkle cinnamon over the caramel. Pour sugar mix in a Ziplock bag. Separate biscuits.

    Step 2
    Place a biscuit in the bag, shake, and makes sure it is covered with the sugar mixture. Place biscuit over the topping in the pie pan. Repeat with all the biscuits. Make sure they are touching in the pie pan. Bake according to directions on the biscuits or until golden brown and cooked through.

    Step 3
    The baking time could definitely be longer than the suggested time on the package. Just watch them and make sure they are cooked through. Once baked, invert sticky buns onto a plate for serving. Serve warm.

    These pork chops have many different names, but they are delicious regardless of what you call them.

    Dixie Pork Chops

    If you love this recipe, you need to try our Fried Pork Chops and Gravy. It’s a wonderful recipe and great comfort food.

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

    This is a great Fall dish that we love year round especially since it’s made with apples and raisins and it has a sweet taste. It’s a great way to enjoy pork chops and it also reheats well. This is a versatile recipe and you can use any apples you like.

    🍴KEY INGREDIENTS

    • Boneless pork chops
    • Butter
    • Salt
    • Sage
    • Brown sugar
    • Apples, sliced and unpeeled
    • All-purpose flour
    • Hot water
    • Apple cider vinegar 
    • Raisins

    SWAPS

    You could brown pork chops in oil instead of butter. You could use light or dark brown sugar. You could use white vinegar. You could use self-rising flour. If you don’t own an apple corer, slice apples and use a knife to remove the core in the center of the slices. We used Granny Smith apples in the recipe, but any tart apple will do.

    🍽️HOW TO MAKE

    These are easy to make but do take a little prep, it’s worth it though and your family will love these.

    COOKING STEPS

    Step 1
    Brown pork chops in butter on top of the stove.  Remove from skillet and sprinkle with salt and sage. Put in a 2 quart casserole dish and either top with apple rings or stagger in dish between the pork chops. Sprinkle apples and pork chops with brown sugar.

    Step 2
    Add flour to skillet drippings where chops were browned. Add hot water and vinegar bring to a boil stirring constantly.  Cook until thick like gravy. Remove pan from heat and stir in raisins.  Pour over pork chops and apples.  Cover and bake in preheated 350 degree oven for one hour.

    I think you could easily use craisins in this and would be delicious! If your family doesn’t like raisins, then leave them out. We love the granny apples they add a certain level of tartness.

    SERVE THIS WITH

    • Crock Pot Scalloped Potatoes – This is a great dish to enjoy with these pork chops. Its a good addition to just about any meal.
    • Tennessee Onions – It you love onions this is a great dish and it’s easy to make too!
    • Best Green Beans – These are so easy to make and a great addition to this meal or any meal!
    • Corn Pudding – This is a classic dish that will go great with this dish!

    STORING, REHEATING & SERVING SIZE

    Step 1

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

    We love this style of quick bread, takes nothing to make and it’s delicious. Great for brunch with friends or afternoon coffee or tea. It has a wonderful flavor and it’s super versatile. Not a fan of raisins, that is okay.. leave them out. The bread will still be great, this is a recipe you will make over and over.

    🍴KEY INGREDIENTS

    • All-purpose flour
    • Baking powder
    • Baking soda
    • Quick-cooking oats
    • Salt
    • White granulated sugar
    • Eggs
    • Buttermilk
    • Sour cream
    • Butter, melted
    • Vanilla extract

    🍽️HOW TO MAKE

    This is an easy recipe to make and it doesn’t take a lot of time which is always a plus! Just make sure you have all of your ingredients out and organized before you start, that way you don’t forget to add any!

    COOKING STEPS

    Step 1
    Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, oats and salt. Cream sugar and eggs, add buttermilk, sour cream, melted butter and vanilla with mixer. 

    Step 2
    Combine with flour mixture and mix well. Fold in raisins. Pour batter in a sprayed 9X5 inch bread pan. 

    Step 3
    Spread the swirl mixture over the top and cut into the batter with a knife until swirled throughout the mixture. 

    Step 4
    Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 65 to 70 minutes until center tests done. Add glaze.

    Step 5
    Whisk together and drizzle over cooled bread.

    Don’t like raisins, simply leave them out. Many have posted they have made this bread without it and thought it was fantastic. Also, if you love raisins, you can soak them in water to plump them up before you add them to the bread.

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder

    If you are a fan of sliders you will also want to make these delicious Kentucky Hot Brown Sliders. They are amazing!

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

    One of the main reasons we love this recipe is it really does taste like a Big Mac! They are messy like a big mac but they are so worth it. They would be the perfect addition to any game day festivities or holiday party. They have a few ingredients but they final slider is amazing.

    🍴KEY INGREDIENTS

    • Kings Hawaiian Rolls
    • Onion
    • Sweet pickle relish
    • Mayonnaise
    • Apple Cider Vinegar
    • Sugar
    • Smoked paprika
    • Yellow mustard
    • Onion powder
    • Ground beef
    • Worcestershire sauce
    • Black pepper
    • Salt, divided
    • Cheddar cheese, grated
    • Dill hamburger pickles, chopped
    • Sesame seeds
    • Shredded iceberg lettuce ( I bought it in the bag)
    • Butter, melted

    SWAPS

    You could easily switch out the ground beef in this recipe for ground turkey. It’s delicious either way!

    🍽️HOW TO MAKE

    These sliders aren’t hard to make but do take a little prep. The best way to make these is to organize all of your ingredients before you get started. Then you can work your way through the process.

    COOKING STEPS

    Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut down the center of the Hawaiian buns and place the bottom in a baking pan. You can also just buy the Hawaiian Slider Buns to make this easier. Grate about 2 tablespoons of onion and set aside, juice and all. Chop the remaining half of the onion. Combine mayonnaise, grated onion and juice, sugar, sweet pickle relish, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, vinegar, mustard, smoked paprika, and onion powder in a bowl and combine well. 

    Step 2
    In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat, add chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce,remaining salt, pepper, and cook for a minute or so. Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup of grated cheese and 2/3 cup of the sauce. 

    Step 3
    Pour meat mixture over the bottom of the slider buns, top with remaining cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce and drizzle on the rest of the sauce. Add the tops of buns, brush on melted butter then sprinkle on sesame seeds. Bake in oven for about 10-12 minutes. Remove and enjoy.

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

    We love this dish because it is loaded with flavor, lots of vegetables, spices, meat, and potatoes. I will admit this dish takes some time, it doesn’t come together super quickly but it is hearty and delicious. It reheats well too!

    🍴KEY INGREDIENTS

    Meat Ingredients

    • Ground beef or ground turkey
    • Oil (we used olive)
    • Onion
    • Carrots
    • Celery
    • Baking soda
    • Water
    • Worcestershire sauce
    • Canned mushrooms
    • Salt and Pepper
    • All purpose flour
    • Beef broth

    Potato Ingredients

    • Russet potatoes, peeled and cut into slices
    • Whipping cream
    • Garlic
    • Ground nutmeg
    • Salt & Pepper
    • Four
    • Grated parmesan
    • Cheddar cheese, grated

    🍽️HOW TO MAKE

    Like I stated above this dish takes a little time, peeling and cutting up the potatoes, boiling them, etc. However, I like to try to make all the things at the same time, and then it comes together quicker.

    COOKING STEPS

    Step 1
    Boil the potatoes (already sliced) in water (add salt) for about 5 minutes or until they begin to feel soft. Drain and let cool. First, we want to add the baking soda and water to a large bowl and mix well; this will help us keep the ground beef from drying out. Add the ground beef to the bowl, plus the salt and mix well. In a hot skillet, add beef, and cook until brown. Remove beef from pan and drain grease.

    Step 2
    Add celery, carrots, and onions to the skillet and saute until they soften, then add beef back to the skillet. Add in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Increase the heat until the beef mixture begins to boil, and continue to stir until it begins to become thick. Add parsley, mushrooms, salt and pepper as needed.     Meat Ingredients

    • 2 pounds of ground beef or ground turkey
    • 1 tablespoon of oil we used olive
    • 1 1/2 cups of chopped onion
    • 1 1/2 cups of chopped carrots
    • 1 1/2 cups of diced celery
    • 1 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
    • 1 tablespoon of water
    • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
    • 6 ounces of canned mushrooms
    • ½ teaspoon of salt
    • 1/8 th teaspoon of pepper
    • 1/4 th cup of all purpose flour
    • 2 cups of beef broth

    Scalloped Potatoes:

    • 2 lbs of russet potatoes peeled and cut into slices
    • ⅔ cup of whipping cream
    • 2 teaspoons of minced garlic
    • 1/4 th teaspoon of ground nutmeg
    • ½ teaspoon of salt
    • ⅛ teaspoon of pepper
    • 1 tablespoon of flour
    • ½ cup of grated parmesan
    • 4 ounces of cheddar cheese grated
    • Boil the potatoes (already sliced) in water (add salt) for about 5 minutes or until they begin to feel soft. Drain and let cool. First, we want to add the baking soda and water to a large bowl and mix well, this is going to help us keep the ground beef from drying out. Add the ground beef to the bowl, plus the salt and mix well. In a hot skillet, add beef, and cook until brown. Remove beef from pan and drain grease.

    • Add celery, carrots, and onions to the skillet and saute until they are starting to soften, then add beef back to the skillet. Add in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Increase the heat until the beef mixture begins to boil, and continue to stir until it starts to become thick. Add parsley, mushrooms, salt and pepper as needed. Turn down, cover and let simmer for 30 minutes or until beef mixture is nice and tender.

    If you have followed our site for any amount of time, then you know we are huge fans of fudge! We have many different variations on our website and they are all delicious. Our most popular is our Five Minute Fudge which we used to make this recipe too.

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

    We love maple and we love fudge so this recipe was a no brainer for us. Maple just says Fall and the holiday season and we are a huge fan of that time of year. This fudge also makes a wonderful gift and comes together very quickly, which is always a plus.

    🍴KEY INGREDIENTS

    • Brown sugar
    • Miniature marshmallows 
    • Evaporated milk
    • Butter
    • Salt
    • White baking chips
    • Walnuts (can use pecans)
    • Maple extract

    🍽️HOW TO MAKE

    This fudge is really easy to make which is one of the reasons we love it. Five minute fudge takes all the guessing out of it and makes this one simple! Such a versatile recipe.

    COOKING STEPS

    Step 1
    Combine sugar, marshmallows, milk, butter and salt in a pan.  Bring to boil, reduce to medium and cook about 5 minutes or until reaches soft ball stage.  I just boil mine 5 minutes stirring constantly to prevent burning.

    Step 2
    Remove pan from stove, stir in baking chips until melted and smooth. Stir in walnuts and maple extract.  Spray an 8 x 8 baking dish with cooking spray and add fudge mix. Refrigerate about 2 hours or until hardens.  Cut in pieces and enjoy!
