Dunkin sent out an email about their rewards program. Including some other news there (possibly some lower redemptions?), they noted that Dunkin Rewards will now expire after one year from when they were earned (based on the last day of the month they were earned). This change goes into effect on 10/6/25. Previously rewards only expired after 6 months of inactivity.

Pumpkin spice season is almost upon us, but if you were thinking of running to Dunkin’, a call to boycott the coffee franchise might have caught your attention. What’s the deal with the previously #1 trending #BoycottDunkinDonuts? Apparently, it all stems from Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski.
Pavlovski took to X to share what he says are email snippets from Inspired Brands, Dunkin’s parent company, turning down advertisement slots because “the right wing culture of the site is too polarizing from a suitability standpoint today.”
The Inspire Brands representative went on to add that it would be “open to continuing discussion as the brand evolves.” However, that didn’t stop MAGA influencers from calling for a boycott, with many demanding Dunkin’ get the “Bud Light treatment” in reference to Dylan Mulvaney’s partnership with the brand and the ensuing MAGA boycott in 2023. One of the more notable pro-MAGA social media accounts, Catturd, got the ball rolling with an X post encouraging followers to “stick together and turn [Dunkin’] into budlight.”
Pavlovski also shared a redacted email snippet from Diageo North America, stating it would not “approve a platform that has Steven Crowder, Alex Jones, or the like.” Alex Jones, of course, was ordered to pay almost one billion dollars in damages to the Sandy Hook victims’ families after claiming the shooting was a hoax aimed at weakening the Second Amendment. Despite this, Rumble continues to host Jones, who has been banned from other social media platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, and Apple.
In another X post, Pavloski claimed his response to both emails was, “No, we don’t discriminate. All cultures are welcome on Rumble.” In a reply to a follower, he also said, “Rumble is a platform, it doesn’t adopt any single viewpoint or culture, its open to all.”
For a movement that reportedly upholds freedom of speech and rebukes cancel culture, the MAGA outrage feels a bit hypocritical. After all, both Dunkin’ and Diageo are private companies with the power to conduct their businesses as they see fit, as long as they aren’t breaking any state or federal laws. Thus, which companies they choose to advertise with is well within their rights and part of maintaining brand image.
#BoycottDunkinDonuts no longer holds the #1 spot on X. In fact, it has largely been taken over by people supporting Dunkin’s decision to partner with companies that share its values. At the time of writing, Dunkin’ has not responded to the boycott or Pavloski. Diageo also has not commented, but as reported by TimesNowNews, the official Diageo North America X account has been set to private, seemingly due to the controversy.

BOSTON – The Patriots may not have been in the Super Bowl, but New England was on full display with a star-studded Dunkin’ commercial starring Tom Brady, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon and others.
Social media was buzzing during the ad, which aired during the Kansas City Chiefs’ overtime victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
During the ad, Affleck seeks to become a popstar and crashes wife Jennifer Lopez’s recording studio alongside bandmates Damon and Brady.
The group calls itself “The DunKings” and wears bright Dunkin’-themed tracksuits bearing the name.
“Touchdown Tommy on them keys!” Affleck announces to the room as the performance gets underway. When the song wraps up, Damon reluctantly says “How do you like them … donuts?” in a nod to his famous “Good Will Hunting” line.
As the DunKings leave the studio, Lopez tells Brady that “You can stay.”
According to Dunkin’, DunKing tracksuits will be on sale Monday at noon.

America runs on Dunkin’ and apparently, nocturnal animals do, too.
A viral TikTok showing a raccoon ever-so-kindly taking a donut from a Dunkin’ drive-thru window before scurrying off with his new sweet treat has been viewed over 21.3 million times.
TikTokers Samantha Guptil uploaded the video that shows the four-legged creature slowly walking in front of her car on the way to the window.
“What in the world? My dude. He wants some Dunkin’ doughnuts,” Guptil jokes.

The raccoon waits patiently out the window as the Dunkin’ employee stares at him confused, unsure of what to do next.
In an unexpected twist, the employee grabs a vanilla-frosted and opens the window while the raccoon carefully grabs the pastry in his hands and slowly scurries off — just in time for National Donut Day.
Commenters were in stitches over the adorable (and surprisingly polite) little creature, with many guessing that the animal must be a “regular” as the interaction was “far too casual.”
“She could have thrown it but she handed it to him like the little gentleman he is,” one user wrote.
“Little dude was nice and patient and then gently took it out of her hands,” another said.
Though only service animals are allowed inside Dunkin’ stores, locations with patio areas love to service furry friends, even offering a Cup for Pup for those bringing dogs.
Undomesticated raccoons, however, might be a different story — but if they’re as cordial and professional as this little guy, it’s safe to say they might get a pass.
According to the New York Post, the video was taken near Orange City, Florida.

Dunkin’ has released outtakes from its hidden camera-style Super Bowl ad starring Ben Affleck. The Bostonian helped the chain strike gold with their first ever Super Bowl ad, and now, coffee and donut enthusiasts everywhere can see what didn’t make the cut.
“It’s Boston, after all, so we had some rather coarse and agitated people who were willing to voice their displeasure in a colorful way, and I’m still lobbying to include the most interesting of those in some of the edgiest social spots,” Affleck told the Wall Street Journal.
It looks like his wish came true.
The original ad, which was directed by the star’s production company, featured Affleck working the drive-thru window in Medford, Massachusetts, taking orders and selfies with customers. At the end of the commercial, Affleck’s wife, Jennifer Lopez, pays him a visit.
“Is this what you do when you say you’re going to work all day?” she asks incredulously, before reminding her husband to grab her a glazed donut on his way out.
The outtakes are a little raunchier, with Affleck telling one customer in an exaggerated Boston accent that the chain is out of both coffee and donuts.
“What do you got?”
“Ah, water,” says Affleck, as the customer elicits an expletive.
“I’m trying to compensate with comedy for my ineptitude,” the star responds.
Affleck also tells customers that they have to take the Dunkin’ Run deal, which the ad is promoting, running through the menu at such speed that a customer asks him, “Are you alright this morning?”
“Malfunction!” Affleck screams in another scene, angrily pressing on the touchscreen point of service system. “It’s not as easy as it looks,” he adds.
Even so, Dunkin’ stands by the actor’s performance, which just might be his greatest yet.
“We thought, ‘who better to represent [our menu] than the ultimate Dunkin’ runner, Ben Affleck?’” said Dunkin’ chief marketing officer, Jill McVicar Nelson, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal.
“I’m not your typical Dunkin’ technician,” Affleck says in closing. “Usually, they’re much smarter than me.”

A Dunkin’ Super Bowl commercial might not have happened without one of the eponymous chain’s celebrity fans: Bostonian and actor Ben Affleck, who directed and starred in this year’s “Dunkin’ ‘Drive-Thru’ Starring Ben.”
The chain — who is apparently on a first name basis with Affleck — enlisted the star’s help in making their first-ever Super Bowl ad after seeing viral footage of him working the drive-thru at a Dunkin’ in Medford, Massachusetts.
“We thought, who better to represent [our menu] than the ultimate Dunkin’ runner, Ben Affleck?” said Dunkin’ chief marketing officer, Jill McVicar Nelson, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal.

“As someone who has an album named ‘runs on dunkin’ filled with photos of Ben Affleck and his iced [Dunkin’], I needed that commercial,” wrote another.
Dunkin’ originally pitched an idea that involved Affleck paying a visit to the corporate boardroom, but he suggested an unscripted piece instead. Artists Equity, Affleck’s production company, filmed both.
Leading up to the commercial’s debut, the company teased it both on Twitter, and in stores. On Sunday morning, the company tweeted: “felt cute, might have Ben Affleck in our commercial later.”
“The way sneaker heads feel about exclusive shoe drops is how I feel about the Ben Affleck Dunkin drop,” wrote one user, after a sign on one of the digital menus read, “Something’s Ben Brewing,” with the date of the Super Bowl underneath.
While some were excited to see a familiar face promoting Dunkin’s breakfast value menu, some were less pleased. While Affleck’s heavy Boston accent did not feel to disappoint, his customer service might have.
“It’s Boston, after all, so we had some rather coarse and agitated people who were willing to voice their displeasure in a colorful way, and I’m still lobbying to include the most interesting of those in some of the edgiest social spots,” Affleck told the WSJ.
Dunkin’ said some scenes that did not make the final cut will be promoted on the company’s social media channels instead.

Social media star Charli D’Amelio is adding a new job to her ever-growing resume: co-host of the Kids’ Choice Awards. D’Amelio will host the show along with “CBS Mornings” co-host Nate Burleson at 7 p.m. ET on March 4.
D’Amelio said it is an honor to be a co-host this year and she’s most looking forward to seeing some “intense slimings.”
“That’s obviously the highlight of the show,” D’Amelio said.
D’Amelio has won two Kids’ Choice Awards including Favorite Female Social Star in 2021 and Favorite Female Creator in 2022. She’s nominated for Favorite Female Creator again this year.
“It’s so special to be recognized alongside a group of people that I love and all of my fellow social creators,” she said.
She’s considered one of TikTok’s biggest stars with more than 150 million followers and more than 1 billion likes on her video. D’Amelio’s rise to fame began in 2019 when her friends introduced her to TikTok so she can learn the viral dance movies and teach them.
“From there, it just snowballed and all of these incredible things started to happen,” she said.
Her overnight sensation led to a career in music and business. She also got brand deals with Dunkin’, Amazon and Prada. In 2021, she and her sister, Dixie, launched the clothing line called “Social Tourist.” D’Amelio said it is her family and hometown friends that help keep her grounded even as she finds success beyond social media.
“It’s always good to have a conversation of people that aren’t really in this world as much to just be like, ‘Hey, we love you for you.” I think that’s very special,” she said.
D’Amelio said she hopes her family gets to participate in one of the award show’s highest honors.
“I hope they get slimed because I am going to bring them there and just watching them [get slimed] that would be such a dream come true,” she said.

Inflation’s latest victim? Dunkin’s reward program.
The company announced last week an overhauled rewards program, called Dunkin’ Rewards. (It used to be named, DD Perks and was beloved by customers for its relatively generous rewards structure.) But the new changes to the program have sparked anger on social media.
I agree, as a highly engaged customer who spends about $100 a week with Dunkin (we love your coffers), it’s now time for a change. I tried Starbucks, chick fil a and two local coffee shops this week.

Dunkin’s new program, promised, “more food and beverage rewards, increased flexibility on when and how guests choose to use their points, and an all-new Boosted Status, a special loyalty tier for Dunkin’s most dedicated fans,” per the press release.
But, parts of the new program make getting rewards harder. And, as Redditors are wont to do, they dug into the details, particularly on the subreddit for the company on the app.
The new program’s benefits are an attempt “to feebly try to justify the sky-rocket beverage ripoff,” as one user on the site wrote.
For example, under the old system, for every dollar you spent, you got five points, and it was 200 points — so, about 40$, with a limit of one per week — to get a free beverage coupon.
Under the new program, a beverage that’s not just iced or hot coffee costs 700 points, and even though customers now earn 10 points per dollar spent, that still means you need to spend $70 to get a free drink.
“They really think their customers are stupid. Well, we’ll be in Starbucks lines, now,” another Redditor wrote. Some took the company to task on Twitter, to which it responded:

One longtime Dunkin fan who did not want his name printed but provided a screenshot of his Dunkin’ loyalty profile (he has over 13,000 loyalty points) told Entrepreneur via Reddit that he is switching to an at-home machine.
“I have a Dunkin’s sweatsuit. I used to be a Dunkin’ loyalist. But I’ve since switched to a Nespresso Vertuo machine,” he said, adding that he also feels the quality of the food and drink has gone downhill this fall.
Writer Magdalene J. Taylor (one of the first to do so) pointed out this trend on Twitter.

One or two people on Reddit said they were heading to competitors. Another told Entrepreneur that he would miss one perk in particular, the free birthday drink. It “is just salt in the wound,” Tampa-based retiree Mike Matthews said via phone.
Matthews added he first went to Dunkin’ in the 1980s in Oradell, New Jersey, and got free drinks with a punch card. “But, I am very disappointed, because now, I am going to have to spend a lot more money for my coffee,” he added, just when inflation is hitting his wallet.
