WWE Legend Sentenced After Killing Man In DUI – Her SEVENTH Drunk Driving Arrest! – Perez Hilton

Things aren’t looking so Sunny for Tammy Sytch. Nearly two years after the former WWE superstar was arrested and charged with DUI causing death, she’s finally got her sentence.

Back in April 2022, the 50-year-old was accused of killing 75-year-old Julian Lafrancis Lasseter. While driving drunk, she slammed her Mercedes into the rear of his Kia Sorento that was stopped at a stoplight in Florida. The force pushed the car forward, causing it to slam into the back of the car ahead of it — and the sever collision from both ends caused fatal injuries to the elderly man. So, so sad.

Tammy and the passengers in the other car weren’t seriously injured, but she was found to be over the legal limit when she slammed into the Kia at a “high rate speed” as reported by police at the time. Because of her intoxication, she’s now facing almost two decades behind bars.

On Monday, the former WWE Diva addressed the courtroom in an emotional testimony. She wore an orange jumpsuit and her hands were in cuffs as she tearfully addressed Julian’s family, saying:

“I know my words are not enough. But please know I think about you every day. Every second of every day, and I will do whatever I can to make the changes I need to make sure this never happens again. No one should have to go through this and please know that every single second of every day since the crash, I wish I could change places with him.”

After hours of argument back in forth in court, though, the judge ultimately decided on a sentence: 17 years in prison!

That’s a long time, but it’s much lighter than the 26-year sentence prosecutors were pushing for. They argued she was still a “danger to society”. This was someone who had previously been arrested for making terroristic threats after all. But the judge didn’t throw the entire book at her, opting for about two thirds of what they asked. However, she’ll have to serve an additional 8 years probation after.

Tammy didn’t show much of a reaction when she received her sentencing, leaving everyone to wonder what she was really thinking. You can see the video of her entire sentencing (below):

This wasn’t the first time the former wrestler — who went by the name Sunny in the ring — got caught up with some drunk driving charges, either. According to her criminal record, she’s been arrested at least six other times due to her impairment behind the wheel. So, a danger to society might not be that far off. It’s a stroke of pure luck no one else was seriously injured or killed during all her drunk driving before this one!

What do U think of Tammy’s sentencing, Perezcious readers? Did she get let off too easy — or was this a sufficient sentencing? Sound OFF (below).

Hulk Hogan’s Son Nick Arrested For DUI In Florida After REFUSING To Take A Sobriety Test! – Perez Hilton

Nick Hogan is in the big house.

On Saturday, TMZ reported that earlier that same morning, at around 4:00 a.m. to be specific, the 33-year-old son of Hulk Hogan was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence in Clearwater, Florida. According to the outlet, he refused to agree to a field sobriety test, so cops booked him on a misdemeanor. See his mugshot (below):

Beyond the criminal offense of potentially driving while under the influence, the news draws parallels to a scary incident that happened nearly two decades ago. Back in 2007 when Nick was just 17 years old, he and his friend John Graziano were driving around the same city when the reality star crashed, leaving John with a serious brain injury. At the time, cops said alcohol was a factor. Nick went on to serve an eight-month prison sentence.

As for this time around, TMZ reported that Nick was at a bikini contest at his dad’s restaurant in the Clearwater area prior to getting pulled over.

  • Shannon Beador Says She ‘Took Inventory’ Of Her Life After DUI Arrest: ‘I Made A Terrible Mistake’ – Perez Hilton

Shannon Beador Says She ‘Took Inventory’ Of Her Life After DUI Arrest: ‘I Made A Terrible Mistake’ – Perez Hilton

Shannon Beador recognizes she made a huge “mistake.”

Perezcious readers will recall that the 59-year-old reality star was arrested in September after she crashed her vehicle into a home in Newport Beach – reportedly while driving under the influence. She was charged with two misdemeanors, one count of DUI and one count of hit and run. But on Thursday, Shannon received nothing more than a slap on the wrist from the judge for her actions as the judge dismissed the charge of hit-and-run with property damage.

She then was sentenced to three years of probation and 40 hours of community service. Shannon also was required to complete a nine-month alcohol program. One day after her sentencing, the Bravolebrity made an appearance at BravoCon for the Real Housewives of Orange County panel – where she opened up about the incident. And Shannon seemed to be very remorseful! She told the audience on Friday:

“It’s been a tough six weeks but I will tell you that I made a terrible mistake and — I don’t want to cry. I’m incredibly grateful that I didn’t hurt anyone. I, on my own, just completed a 28-day behavioral wellness program with an alcohol component and I have been able to focus on elements of my life that were unhealthy and toxic and I believe that today, I’m going in a good and positive direction.”

Shannon then went on to say she took “inventory of my life” following the arrest. In fact, it sounds like she now agrees with her castmates about having a drinking problem. The television personality said she realized she was “absolutely” drinking way too much lately.

Hopefully, Shannon truly learned her lesson from this incident. Thoughts on what she had to say, Perezcious readers? Let us know.

  • Kristin Cavallari Tells Dating HORROR STORY Of An Ex Getting Arrested During Their Date – And You Know Him!!! – Perez Hilton

Kristin Cavallari Tells Dating HORROR STORY Of An Ex Getting Arrested During Their Date – And You Know Him!!! – Perez Hilton

What’s your biggest dating horror story? Kristin Cavallari might have you beat!

On Tuesday’s all new episode of her Let’s Be Honest podcast, she recounts the tale of a truly terrible coffee date — in which the guy full-on got arrested! Right in the middle of the date! Innerestingly this was only a few days ago — but we’ll get back to that in a moment.

The date didn’t begin especially auspiciously, as she recalls this guy, someone she used to date, setting up the meeting with her and then NOT SHOWING UP:

“Sunday, I had agreed to go meet someone that I dated for coffee. And I’m like, ‘Hey, I’m two minutes away.’ No response. I get to the coffee shop. I call him. 9 a.m. I’m all, ‘Hey, I’m here.’ He answers all disheveled, like, ‘Oh my God. My alarm didn’t go off.’ I’m like, ‘F**k you. I hate you.’”

Yeah, not a good start at all! LOLz! She continued:

“But I waited like a f**king idiot. Twenty minutes [go] by, and he walks in. And he’s like, ‘Oh my God, sorry. I was up until 5:30, had friends over. We were drinking all night.’”

That would already be a red flag for us, him being so inconsiderate staying up all night drinking when they already had a date planned. We mean, if he wants to hang with friends, fine, but call a girl to cancel if you obviously aren’t going to make it! But she was a trooper and stayed, and they ordered coffee.

But then something scary happened. A cop came up and started questioning them! He asked if they’d arrived to the coffee shop together:

“By the way, [UNNAMED DATE] is not saying anything. So, I’m standing there, like, ‘No, we didn’t drive together.’”

The cop pulled her ex out of the cafe and started “patting” him down! She couldn’t believe it:

“Next thing you know, the handcuffs go on. I’m like, ‘What the f**k is going on?’”

Then three more cops showed up and put the ex — whom she does NOT name, btw — into the squad car. She finally asked what the heck was going on, why he was being arrested, and a cop told her:

“There was a report of a hit-and-run down the street, and he matches the description of the guy.”

Whoa! Did her date really drive hungover to see her and hit someone — then leave the scene to get coffee?! She had no idea if she’d ever find out! She remembers thinking:

“Damn, I’m not going to know the full story for a long time. Great, that’s my Sunday morning.”

But the next morning, she says, she woke up to a voicemail from the guy saying, “Just got out of jail. That was crazy. Wow.” Like it was “just another day” for him! And he told her he would still like to get coffee with her!

“He was totally downplaying this like it’s nothing. I wake up, send him a voice note, like, ‘What happened? Did you get a DUI? Did you lose your license? What happened?’”

The guy explained he had hit a pole. He was still drunk from the night before and blew “over the limit” on a Breathalyzer. She got even more info when the story came out online! See, it turns out her ex is a bit of a celebrity himself! It was comedian Jeff Dye! That’s right, if you already read THAT story, you probably had no idea he was on his way to meet Kristin! Cray!

Anyway, the police report of his DUI hit the internet, so she did get the full story! And she couldn’t believe how flippantly he was treating it:

“The disconnect is so unbelievable. Also, came out in the police report he didn’t hit a pole, he hit a f**king tree. The whole thing is like, oh my God.”

Oh no! Suffice to say, she did not go for another coffee date with him! See the full story — PLUS another wild one about having a one-night stand with an Australian rugby player the night before (below)!

What would YOU do if your date got arrested in front of you, Perezcious readers? Would it depend on the crime? Or is that an instant dealbreaker??

  • Drunk driver indicted for golf cart crash that killed South Carolina bride on her wedding day

Drunk driver indicted for golf cart crash that killed South Carolina bride on her wedding day

The woman accused of drunkenly plowing her vehicle into a golf cart, killing a newly-wed bride and injuring the man she’d married just hours earlier, has been indicted by a grand jury in South Carolina.

Jamie Komoroski was charged in Charleston County with reckless homicide, felony DUI resulting in death and two counts of felony DUI resulting in great bodily injury, according to court documents obtained by WSCS. Police said her blood alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit the night of the deadly crash, which unfolded on April 28 on Folly Beach, near Charleston.

Just hours earlier, Samantha and Aric had exchanged vows by the water during a romantic wedding ceremony. They were in a golf cart carrying them away from their wedding reception when they were hit by Komoroski, who was traveling 65 mph in a 25 mph zone.

The 34-year-old bride was pronounced dead on the scene. Her husband sustained a brain injury and broken bones, according to a statement his family posted to a GoFundMe page. He has since filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Komoroski as well as the bars that served her in the hours leading up to the deadly collision: Snapper Jacks, The Drop-In Bar and Deli, The Crab Shack, Taco Boy, El Gallo Bar and Grill, and Bottle Cap Holdings, LLC.

In the immediate aftermath of the crash, Komoroski told investigators she’d only had a beer and a tequila drink before the crash, but Hutchinson’s lawsuit alleges she enjoyed a “booze-filled” bar-hop across Folly Beach.

Last month, Komorski’s request for bond was denied by Judge Michael Nettles who set the condition that the case be tried by March 2024.

Bride killed, groom injured when alleged drunk driver slams into golf cart:

A bride leaving her wedding reception was killed when a woman driving under the influence and well over twice the speed limit slammed into the back of a golf cart on a South Carolina beach road, authorities said.

Data retrieved from Jamie Lee Komoroski’s rental car indicated she was driving 65 mph and only briefly hit the brakes before she hit the golf cart around 10 p.m. Friday on Folly Beach, investigators said.

The speed limit on the island near Charleston is 25 mph.

Samantha Miller, 34, of Charlotte, North Carolina, died in the wreck, according to the Charleston County Coroner’s Office.

Miller had just got married hours earlier, Folly Beach Public Safety Department Director Andrew Gilreath said.

Three others in the golf cart including the groom were injured. Gilreath said the golf cart had lights and was legal to drive at night.

The groom’s mother created a GoFundMe Page to pay for her daughter-in-law’s funeral and her son’s medical bills. It included a photo of the newlyweds running under sparklers just before the crash.

It also had a photo of groom Aric Hutchinson in the hospital, where he was recovering from a brain injury and numerous broken bones after the golf cart rolled over several times and was thrown 100 yards. The GoFundMe page says he has many broken bones, a brain injury and faces a long recovery.

“I was handed Aric’s wedding ring in a plastic bag at the hospital, five hours after Sam placed it on his finger and they read each other their vows,” the groom’s mother wrote. “Aric has lost the love of his life.”

The GoFundMe page had raised over $247,000 by Tuesday morning.

Komoroski, 25, is charged with reckless vehicular homicide and three counts of driving under the influence causing death. She faces one to 25 years in prison on each DUI count.

Komoroski remained in the Charleston County jail Monday afternoon and records did not indicate if she had a lawyer.

Miller was from North Carolina and Hutchinson grew up in Utah where he played college football, the groom’s mother said.

Leading South Florida Traffic Ticket and Violation Law Firm Warns of the Hefty Penalties and Repercussions of Sneaking into Express Lanes

    Press Release

    updated: Jan 19, 2017

Babkes & Associates, a South Florida-based traffic violation law firm, advises that highway patrol will now have a designated spot to pull drivers over if they are partaking in illegal actions in those lanes.

“The department of transportation is going to eliminate the temptation to sneak into express lanes on the highway, and perhaps save your life,” said James Babkes, Attorney & Partner at Babkes & Associates regarding the matter. “If caught, drivers can anticipate monetary punishment.”

    James Babkes, Attorney & Partner

The department will be removing poles that are flimsy, not sturdy looking, and too far apart and replacing them with sturdier poles that will be closer together so a car cannot squeeze through.

As a result of all of these changes, the Florida Highway Patrol has announced that they will begin cracking down on reckless drivers and lane drivers, resulting in a hefty fine and points on a license once the driver is caught participating in this behavior.

Babkes continued, “If you get caught and want to fight back, our team of attorneys is here for you. Simply give us a call and we will be happy to give you a FREE consultation at 954-452-8630.”
