  • Trump participates in dignified transfer honoring U.S. soldiers killed in Syria

Washington — President Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth are participating in a solemn dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware on Wednesday to honor two members of the Iowa National Guard who were killed in Syria over the weekend.

The two guardsmen killed in the Syrian desert Saturday were Sgt. Edgar Brian Torres-Tovar, 25, of Des Moines, and Sgt. William Nathaniel Howard, 29, of Marshalltown, according to the U.S. Army. They were members of the 1st Squadron, 113th Cavalry Regiment. Ayad Mansoor Sakat, a U.S. civilian who was working as an interpreter, was also killed. The Pentagon said an ISIS gunman ambushed the two guardsmen and the interpreter.

The president is meeting with their families ahead of the solemn dignified transfer.

Chief of Staff of the Army General Randy George is also scheduled to attend, as is Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, Grassley’s office said. First Lady Melania Trump was scheduled to join them, but a White House official said she could no longer attend.

The dignified transfer was scheduled for 1:15 p.m. ET but is running behind schedule.

Photos released by the Iowa National Guard show Sgts. William Nathaniel Howard, left, and Edgar Brian Torres-Tovar.

This is the first dignified transfer Mr. Trump has participated in since taking office in January, although he attended dignified transfer events in his first term.

The solemn dignified transfer of remains at Dover Air Force Base is meant to honor those who have sacrificed their lives in the service of their country. The remains of the fallen military members are transferred from the aircraft to an awaiting vehicle at the base. The remains are then transferred to the mortuary facility at Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations at the Dover Air Force Base.

“The dignified transfer is not a ceremony; rather, it is a solemn movement of the transfer case by a carry team composed of military personnel from the fallen member’s respective service,” Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations says. “A dignified transfer is conducted for every U.S. military member who dies in the theater of operation while in the service of their country.”

  • Donald Trump Jr. Is Engaged (Again). Will Bettina Anderson Get a White House Wedding?

As the father of the groom looked on in the background, Don Jr. took the microphone, thanking Anderson, standing to his right in a strapless red dress with a stone twinkling on her ring finger, for “that one word: yes.”

“When you’re down there and you’re gonna go, and you’re trying to ask, and you’re not sure what the answer’s gonna be, it’s always a little bit rough,” he said of the proposal. “But she said yes, so that’s a big win for the end of the year.”

This is the third time Don Jr. has gotten engaged, which explains that “always” he dropped. Trump was previously engaged, then married to Vanessa Trump, who has been romantically linked to golf star Tiger Woods since early this year, and before Anderson, was engaged to Kimberly Guilfoyle, whose relationship with Trump ended about the same time as her ambassadorship to Greece was announced and Anderson and Trump’s relationship became public. Are those last things connected? Who could even begin to say!

The engagement could be seen as a belated birthday present to Anderson, who turned 39 on December 1, or one heck of an early Christmas stocking stuffer.

Or, hey, maybe there’s something in the air: Earlier Monday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who recently announced that she will resign from her position in January following disagreements with the president, shared that she is also engaged to be married, in her case to journalist Brian Glenn of Real America’s Voice.

The White House, when contacted by Vanity Fair for comment on the presidential offspring’s latest betrothal, referred us to Don Jr.’s representative. As of the publication of this article, that spokesperson did not respond to the request for comment.

Anderson also said a few words to the assembled well-wishers at the White House Monday, where her experience as a benefit host, welcoming and thanking attendees and sponsors, was apparent.

“Wow, what a privilege it is to be here in the White House, Mr. President,” she said. “To our first lady—these decorations! Am I right? Are they unbelievable? This has really been the most unforgettable weekend of my life and I get to marry the love of my life, and I feel just like the luckiest girl in the world.”

Those “unbelievable” Christmas decorations masterminded by Melania Trump include a Lego recreation of her husband’s mugshot alongside one of George Washington’s presidential portraits, as well as topple-ready structures made of dominoes and playing cards. It’s an about-face from the chilling blood-red trees of yesteryear, though no update has been publicly offered on whether she now “gives a fuck about Christmas stuff and decorations” as she said in 2018.

  • Who Is Kai Trump? The Golfer and First Granddaughter, Explained

Perhaps not. But she’ll make her LPGA Tour debut next month thanks to a sponsor exemption.

Kai received a sponsor exemption in late October to play in the Annika at Pelican Golf Club, November 13–16. This is the penultimate event on the LPGA schedule and it “typically has one of the strongest fields of the year outside the majors,” according to the AP. She is currently 461 in the AJGA girls ranking.

Ricki Lasky, LPGA’s chief tour business and operations officer, noted in a press release that sponsor invitations are “an important way to spotlight emerging talent” and bring attention to the tournaments. As for Kai’s qualifications, she noted that her “broad following and reach are helping introduce golf to new audiences, especially among younger fans.”

As Golf.com’s Claire Rogers explained, Kai is far from the first person to receive a controversial sponsor exemption:

In a piece for Golf Monthly, Alison Root described Kai receiving a sponsor’s exemption as an “understandable, if regrettable, business decision”:

For every available exemption, the up-and-coming college stars, struggling tour players, and international talents are grinding away and would give anything just for a chance to compete.

When a spot goes to a player whose main credential seems to be her last name and her social media reach, it must feel like a slap in the face to those who are further down the road in their journey of dedicating their lives to golf. I can only imagine how frustrating this must feel for them, but I guess that’s just the way the world works.

I understand that a tournament is a business, and clearly Trump’s invitation perfectly meets the commercial criteria of the tournament sponsor, for which these invitations are a core benefit of sponsorship. Who will help us sell the most tickets, attract the most corporate hospitality, and generate the most buzz?

It just confirms that connections and marketability matter more than four years of top-tier college play or consistent results on developmental tours.

Root added that she had “no personal criticism against Trump,” and doesn’t “envy the intense spotlight and scrutiny she will be under.”

  • DJs, Pickleball, Trump Jr: Crypto Conference In Singapore Sees Huge Attendance

    Singapore:

From making predictions about a multi-trillion stablecoin market to praising US President Donald Trump for his support of the crypto industry, a high-profile conference in Singapore this week added to the buoyant mood in the industry.

Around 25,000 people gathered at the two-day TOKEN2049 conference that ended on Thursday, collecting merchandise from crypto firms, while listening to speakers like the president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr, and China-born entrepreneur Justin Sun.

The annual Singapore edition of TOKEN2049 took place in the midst of a boom in Asia — total crypto transaction volume in the region grew to $2.36 trillion as of June, up from $1.4 trillion a year earlier, according to blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis.

The conference also bolstered Singapore’s efforts to promote itself as a global crypto hub, though a series of high-profile crashes dealt a blow to those ambitions and led authorities to tighten regulatory scrutiny.

Some of the conference attendees zoomed along a zipline to get a free backpack, got airbrushed tattoos, tried out a cryotherapy chamber and played pickleball as DJs played thumping music on every floor.

“When I came in this morning and I heard the music, I had chills,” said Hubert Tang, a 60-year-old who works in the operations team for an investment academy in Singapore. “How can this not be the new era?”

Multiple events were spun out from the conference at a five-storey convention centre in the Marina Bay Sands resort, which included more than 120 listed as parties or dinners and a fight night with some crypto industry participants facing off in a boxing ring.

Nine of the parties on yachts and local nightclub Zouk were bought out for 500 conference attendees on Thursday, with the club accepting crypto payments – from bitcoin to ethereum, USDC, Tether and Binance Pay.

“Secretary (Scott) Bessent with the (US) Treasury predicted that the stablecoin global market cap would be above $1 trillion in the next couple of years,” said former White House crypto policy executive Bo Hines, who is now CEO of Tether’s newly created US-based stablecoin venture.

“… it’s a very conservative estimate. I think it can be much greater than that.”

In a reversal of participants’ mixed feelings about Trump’s impact on the crypto industry at the TOKEN2049 conference held in Dubai in May, most panelists at the Singapore edition were optimistic about his support for the sector.

Once a crypto sceptic, Trump has launched his own cryptocurrency and supported the industry with a law to create

a regulatory regime for dollar-pegged cryptocurrencies that are known as stablecoins.

“(President Trump) has single-handedly saved the crypto industry from people who wanted to ruin it, and he’s brought crypto back to its rightful home, the United States of America,” said Zach Witkoff, son of President Trump’s special envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, on Wednesday, sitting next to Donald Trump Jr on the stage.

Witkoff and Trump Jr reiterated their bullish stance on cryptocurrencies and spoke at length about the progress that the industry has made under the Trump administration. Their comments were at times met with cheers from the floor.

“I think stablecoins are going to be the thing that backfills all of these countries that used to buy US Treasuries,” Trump Jr said.

“We’re going to do that, and that’s going to create and maintain the dollar hegemony that’s allowed America to lead, that’s allowed us to have the power over the world that has kept so many places safe, sound and strong.”

Ophelia Wong, who works in the food and agriculture industry, said she flew in from Hong Kong just for the event, her third time at the conference in the city-state.

“Booming,” said the 62-year-old, who started investing in crypto last year, when asked to describe the industry in one word. “It’s an irreversible journey.”

  • Trump Is Launching a Crypto Debit Card

After a stablecoin, digital token, a couple of memecoins, and a bitcoin mining platform, the Trump family is now looking to expand their crypto empire with a debit card.

The family’s crypto venture World Liberty Financial is launching a debit card as early as this year. Trump’s sons, Donald Jr., Eric, and Barron, are all listed as active co-founders of the venture, while the President was “co-founder emeritus” until he took office.

“We are definitely rolling out a debit card that’ll bridge … crypto assets with everyday spending … we’ll be rolling out a pilot program here in the next quarter, and that debit card will either be live (in) Q4 or Q1 26,” CEO Zach Witkoff said at a crypto conference in Singapore on Wednesday, with co-founder Donald Trump Jr. by his side. Zach’s father is Steve Witkoff, Trump’s special envoy to the Middle East, Russia negotiator, and all-around fixer.

Crypto debit cards are not a new concept. The world’s two largest payment networks, Visa and Mastercard, both offer crypto-linked cards in partnership with various crypto trading platforms. They have interesting tax implications, though: every single transaction you make is subject to taxes (no matter how small), but you can also end up with tax write-offs. If the fair market value of your cryptocurrency is lower than it was at the time you purchased it, users can claim a capital loss to reduce taxes for the year. That’s not a far-off reality, considering how volatile cryptocurrency tends to be.

World Liberty Financial has been around for a whole year now to advance its stated goal of “decentralizing finance,” aka getting intermediaries like banks out of the way so financial transactions can be conducted with less oversight.

Crypto is usually under more regulatory scrutiny, but that was then, and this is now. Ever since Trump took office, he has made it a mission to legitimize cryptocurrency’s place in the American financial system.

Under Trump, the once-strict Securities and Exchange Commission is now unveiling crypto regulation and projects to make the United States “the crypto capital of the world.” Some enforcement actions against crypto companies like Coinbase, Crypto.com, and Kraken were dropped. And, in response, the industry is generally back to operating as if the good times will never end.

Trump also spearheaded legislation that legitimized the role of stablecoins and signed it into law in July, just a couple of months after his family’s crypto venture debuted its own stablecoin USD1.

“My father was the first guy to run as sort of a pro-crypto president,” Donald Trump Jr. said at the conference on Wednesday.

Even though Trump was once a crypto-skeptic himself, his newfound belief —and the regulatory power to complement it— only made his family richer than ever.

Since World Liberty Financial’s launch, the Trump family has made around $500 million from that project alone, according to Reuters calculations. Trump and his sons’ stake in World Liberty Financial hit $5 billion after the company’s digital currency began trading earlier last month.

  • ‘Let’s go!’: Don Jr. excited for dad’s special ‘surprise’ like it’s his one shot at validation | The Mary Sue

Donald John Trump Jr., the eldest son of US President Donald Trump, is not letting any opportunity go by when it comes to bootlicking. This time, the controversial businessman is extending his support for one of his father’s bold claims.

On September 28, 2025, Donald Trump took to the social media platform, Truth Social, to announce that he and his government, for the “first time ever”, had managed to attain something “special” in the Middle East, referring to the conflict between Israel and Palestine spanning decades. He wrote in the post:

“We have a real chance for GREATNESS IN THE MIDDLE EAST. ALL ARE ON BOARD FOR SOMETHING SPECIAL, FIRST TIME EVER. WE WILL GET IT DONE!!! President DJT.”

While Trump’s post received a lot of criticism on multiple social media platforms, his son, Donald Trump Jr., made sure that he publicly declared his approval of his father’s plans. Sharing a screenshot of his father’s post from Truth Social, he wrote on X, previously Twitter:

    “Let’s go!!!!”

His post, like his father’s, also led to a lot of conversations among those present on the platform. While some showed blatant support for their MAGA overlord, hailing him as some sort of a messiah, others called him out for his inaction in the matter in the past. A person in the comments of Trump Jr.’s post dubbed Trump as the “Best President Ever.” Another pointed out that the US President had been silent over the matter for several months before finally speaking up due to external pressure. He said:

“Trump was silent for 6 months while innocent people were being slaughtered.. it shouldn’t take months of pressure by the American people for him to do the right thing. I’m glad he finally is but him not acknowledging a genocide is wrong and hurt his reputation.”

Yet another user pointed out how Israel has always been an enemy of the United States, noting that the state had infiltrated and influenced “every aspect of the government, media, education, and entertainment.” He also accused Israel of “manipulating” people and groups with their “propaganda 24/7.” Additionally, he highlighted how Trump and his government have focused on portraying the “left,” “Muslims,” “Russia,” and “China” as the main enemies.

  • Barron Trump’s Fortune Tops Melania’s, Thanks to Crypto Investments

Like his father and grandfather before him, Barron Trump seems to have a keen business sense. The son of Donald Trump and Melania Trump is enjoying a particularly lucrative 2025: at just 19 years of age, the youngest member of the Trump clan now has a larger fortune than his own mother, thanks to cryptocurrencies.

Due to the sale of tokens, Barron’s fortune has jumped by $80 million in recent months and now totals $150 million, according to Forbes. On top of this, he is said to hold almost 2.3 billion tokens, which he could resell for $525 million.

The first of the Trump clan to take an interest in the cryptocurrency market, Barron convinced his family to set up his own company in the field, World Liberty Financial, which came into being at the end of 2024. Barron spent his summer “meeting with business partners” and “striking deals,” writes People, before quietly resuming classes at New York University’s Washington, DC campus.

Donald Trump’s second term in the White House has largely benefited his children, writes Forbes. In one year, Donald Trump Jr. added a zero to his fortune, which now totals $500 million. The cryptocurrency market and various contracts signed, including some in Qatar, have been even more beneficial for Eric Trump, who has seen his bank account grow from $40 million to $750 million over the same period. Ivanka Trump, for her part, is said to have $100 million—which is trifle, compared with the billion dollars held by her husband, Jared Kushner, a businessman specializing in real estate.

The man who has benefited most from buying and selling cryptocurrencies remains the President of the United States. His investments earned him two billion dollars, out of the three billion in profits he made over the year. Jumping 70%, his fortune now stands at $7.3 billion. The Republican moves up 118 places in the Forbes 400 ranking (listing the richest men in America) to the 201st position.

For her part, Melania has a wallet worth $20 million, which has grown thanks to “classic means for a First Lady (books, conferences, documentaries),” the media outlet notes. Not to be left unmoved by the promise of cryptocurrency, she has launched her own meme coin, $MELANIA, a speculative token whose aesthetic is based on a meme and whose value is decided by buyers. Listed on the stock exchange, its value is estimated at $200 million.

  • Charlie Kirk memorial service is today. Here’s how to watch and more details.

A memorial service for conservative activist Charlie Kirk in Arizona today is set to feature President Trump, Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, and more than half a dozen top Trump administration figures addressing an NFL-sized crowd at State Farm Stadium.

Kirk, the 31-year-old co-founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed as he spoke at an event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10. A 22-year-old suspect has been charged with aggravated murder.

Kirk’s assassination has rocked the conservative world. A prolific and sometimes controversial speaker, Kirk was known for his college campus events and debates, his role in mobilizing GOP voters and his close ties to the Trump administration.

Where is Charlie Kirk’s memorial service taking place?

The service takes place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, near Phoenix. The stadium, which is home to the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals, can typically seat up to 63,400 people.

Organizers say security will be tight, with “TSA-level screening” expected.

Federal authorities have designated the memorial service as a Special Event Assessment Rating (SEAR) Level 1 event, a senior Department of Homeland Security official said. That designation is used for “significant events with national and/or international importance that require extensive federal interagency support,” like the Super Bowl.

What time is Charlie Kirk’s memorial service?

The service began at 11 a.m. local time in Arizona, or 2 p.m. ET.

Who will speak at Charlie Kirk’s memorial service?

President Trump and Vice President JD Vance are both scheduled to speak, along with the activist’s widow, Erika Kirk, who was named Turning Point USA’s new CEO on Thursday.

Several other administration officials are set to speak, including White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and key Trump aides Stephen Miller and Sergio Gor.

The president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., is also listed as a speaker, as is right-wing media personality and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

Many of the speakers had extensive personal and professional ties with the slain activist.

Kirk was a stalwart supporter of the president starting during his first campaign in 2016, and he remained allied with Mr. Trump after he left office under a cloud of controversy following the Capitol riot in January 2021. In last year’s presidential race, Kirk’s Turning Point USA was widely credited with assisting the Trump campaign with grassroots voter mobilization.

Kirk was also close with Donald Trump Jr. and worked closely with the younger Trump as an aide during the 2016 campaign. “Charlie wasn’t just a friend — he was like a little brother to me,” Donald Trump Jr. wrote on X.

Vance has credited Kirk with introducing him to Donald Trump Jr. ahead of his 2022 Senate campaign, and with advocating “in public and private” for the president to choose Vance as his running mate last year. Kirk’s body was flown from Utah to Arizona on Vance’s jet, Air Force Two.

Kennedy has called Kirk the “primary architect of my unification with President Trump,” referring to the former Democrat’s decision to drop his independent campaign for president last year and publicly endorse Mr. Trump at a Turning Point Action rally.

Several Christian musicians are also listed on the program: Chris Tomlin, Brandon Lake, Phil Wickham, Kari Jobe Carnes and Cody Carnes.

    Who was Charlie Kirk?

Kirk was the leader of Turning Point USA, a group for young conservatives that he co-founded in 2012, at the age of 18. A native of the Chicago area, Kirk briefly attended community college but dropped out to pursue political activism full-time.

He was a ubiquitous presence in politics: He hosted a daily talk radio show and podcast, and he visited scores of college campuses every year, where he was known for hosting rapid-fire debates with left-leaning students.

Kirk frequently drew controversy for his views. He supported Mr. Trump’s false claims of voter fraud after the 2020 election, and his group maintained a “Professor Watchlist” of college instructors accused of spreading “leftist propaganda.”

Turning Point USA says it has chapters at thousands of high schools and colleges, and the group’s political arm, Turning Point Action, engages in grassroots canvassing.

Kirk was also a family man with two young children

“He was the perfect father. He was the perfect husband,” Erika Kirk said last week in her first public remarks after the shooting.

    Who is Erika Kirk?

Charlie and Erika Kirk wed in 2021, after they began dating in 2018.

A Phoenix-area native, Erika Kirk won Miss Arizona USA in 2012, attended Arizona State University and later earned a juris master degree from Liberty University.

She was a frequent presence at Turning Point USA events, where she spoke about politics, religion and her conservative views on family and marriage. She also founded a clothing line called PROCLAIM and a ministry called BIBLEin365.

During one appearance on “The Charlie Kirk Show” earlier this year, Erika Kirk said she’s more conservative than her husband.

“Not even close,” her husband agreed. “I am a moderate compared to Erika.”

In public remarks two days after Charlie Kirk’s assassination, Erika Kirk vowed that the “movement my husband built will not die.”

On Thursday, the board of Turning Point USA announced it had unanimously chosen Erika Kirk to serve as the organization’s new chair and CEO.

  • Politicians condemn killing of Charlie Kirk

It was President Trump who announced that conservative commentator and activist Charlie Kirk had died after he was shot during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday afternoon. The president, who was close to Kirk, praised his appeal to young Americans and mourned him in a social media post.

“The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us,” Mr. Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The president also ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff until Sunday evening to honor Kirk.

Later Wednesday, Mr. Trump released a video statement about Kirk, blaming the “radical left” for his killing. “For years, those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the world’s worst mass murderers and criminals,” he said in a video posted to Truth Social. “This kind of rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism that we’re seeing in our country today, and it must stop right now.”

Democratic and Republican politicians alike condemned Kirk’s murder, although among some in Congress, there were disagreements about how to observe his death on the House floor. Speaker Mike Johnson attempted to hold a moment of silence for Kirk. Then, according to the House gallery, GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado asked for a point of order — she reshared an X post that said she had asked for a moment of prayer. A Democrat yelled, “No.” Boebert and Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a Florida Republican, then started to speak out, as other lawmakers who appeared to be Democrats responded. One yelled, “There was just a shooting in Colorado!” Another said “Pass some gun laws!” Johnson repeatedly called for order.

In an appearance on Fox News, Johnson explained what had happened. “A motion was made on the floor to have a vocal prayer, and it turned into an argument,” he said, adding, “You know, that’s where our politics are in the country right now. We have got to turn the heat down a little bit. We got to have civil discourse.”

“The great tragic irony about this, one of the tragedies, is that Charlie represented that, the best of it,” Johnson continued. “He’s the guy that was the champion out on the front lines having the debate, but he he loved the people that disagreed with him …. He loved it, and he loved the debate.”

“That’s what’s so important for us to remember,” Johnson said. “We shouldn’t regard one another as enemies. We’re fellow Americans, and we should have vigorous debate, but it cannot lead to political violence. It’s just too much.”

Biden says there’s “no place in our country for this kind of violence”

Former President Joe Biden decried the attack on Kirk in a post on social media.

“There is no place in our country for this kind of violence. It must end now. Jill and I are praying for Charlie Kirk’s family and loved ones,” he said in a post shared to X.

Obama calls Kirk’s killing an act of “despicable violence”

Former President Barack Obama condemned the shooting, calling it “despicable violence” in a post on X.

“We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy,” Obama said. “Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.”

Bush says “violence and vitriol must be purged from the public square”

In a statement, former President George W. Bush said, “Today, a young man was murdered in cold blood while expressing his political views. It happened on a college campus, where the open exchange of opposing ideas should be sacrosanct.”

“Violence and vitriol must be purged from the public square. Members of other political parties are not our enemies; they are our fellow citizens. May God bless Charlie Kirk and his family, and may God guide America toward civility,” he said.

Bill Clinton calls for “serious introspection”

Former President Bill Clinton said in a social media post that he was “saddened and angered” by the shooting.

“I hope we all go through some serious introspection and redouble our efforts to engage in debate passionately, yet peacefully,” he said.

Melania Trump mourns Kirk, saying now, his children will be raised “with stories instead of memories”

First lady Melania Trump imagined what the loss of Kirk will mean to his children as they grow up.

“Charlie’s children will be raised with stories instead of memories, photographs instead of laughter, and silence where their father’s voice should have echoed,” she said in a post on X.

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox “heartbroken” over Kirk’s death, vows justice will be served

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox, a Republican, said that he and his wife are “heartbroken” about Kirk’s death, and said they are praying for the conservative activist’s wife and two children.

“I just got off the phone with President Trump. Working with the FBI and Utah law enforcement, we will bring to justice the individual responsible for this tragedy,” he wrote in a social media post on X.

Sen. Mike Lee praises Kirk’s “boundless energy and great love for his country”

Republican Sen. Mike Lee of Utah told CBS News he spoke with Mr. Trump about Kirk, and said the president told him, “‘I’m sure they’ll stay after him,'” referring to the shooting suspect, and “‘they need to catch this guy.'”

“Whether you agree with him or not, you have to respect his boundless energy, his commitment to making the world a better place,” Lee also said.

In a post on X, Lee called Kirk an “American patriot, an inspiration to countless young people to stand up and defend the timeless truths that make our country great.”

He condemned Kirk’s murder, writing on X that it was “a cowardly act of violence, an attack on champions of freedom like Charlie, the students who gathered for civil debate, and all Americans who peacefully strive to save our nation.”

“The terrorists will not win,” he continued. “Charlie will. Please join me in praying for his wife Erika and their children. May justice be swift.”

House Speaker Mike Johnson says Kirk will be “sorely missed”

House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Louisiana Republican, told reporters that Kirk was “a close friend” and “confidant.”

“He will be sorely missed,” he said. “And we need every political leader to decry the violence and do it loudly.”

Eric Trump says Trump properties will fly flags at half-staff

Eric Trump described Kirk as a “dear friend” to the entire Trump family. He said all Trump properties would fly their flags at half-staff to honor him.

Donald Trump Jr.: “I love you brother”

Donald Trump Jr, who was close with Kirk, wrote on social media: “I love you brother. You gave so many people the courage to speak up and we will not ever be silenced.”

“There is no question that Charlie’s work and his voice helped my father win the presidency,” Trump Jr. wrote in a lengthy follow-up post. “He changed the direction of this nation…I know Charlie’s legacy doesn’t end here. He poured into millions of young people who will carry forward the torch he lit. He built something that will outlast him, because it was grounded in faith, in truth, and in courage. And as his friend, I will never forget him. I’ll honor him by loving boldly, speaking truth without fear, and continuing his spirit of courage. His fight lives on in all of us who loved him. This is an unimaginable loss.”

Gabby Giffords “horrified” to hear of Kirk’s shooting

Gabby Giffords, a former U.S. congresswoman from Arizona who suffered a serious brain injury when she was shot in 2011, said in a post on X, “I’m horrified to hear that Charlie Kirk was shot at an event in Utah. Democratic societies will always have political disagreements, but we must never allow America to become a country that confronts those disagreements with violence.”

House Oversight Chairman James Comer, Republican of Kentucky, said shooting was “awful”

GOP House Oversight Chairman James Comer of Kentucky said he watched the video of the shooting and said it was “awful.”

“It’s just, it’s just terrible. I mean, I think we’ve been saying for months now the political temperature is too high in America, and we’ve got to tone it back,” Comer told CBS News. “And political violence is on the rise. And, you know, I know that most of my colleagues and myself included are getting a lot more threatening calls, and it’s just, it’s a terrible environment now and again. I just feel awful for Charlie Kirk and his young family.”

GOP Rep. Virginia Foxx of North Carolina: Kirk meant a lot to “the right to speak freely and share your beliefs”

Rep. Virginia Foxx, Republican of North Carolina, told CBS News at the Capitol that “there’s no room for violence, and it’s terrible. She said she’s encouraged by the bipartisan response to the attack on Kirk and noted the House Oversight Committee had paused for a moment of prayer for Kirk.

Foxx told CBS News that Kirk represented “a category of people in our culture that’s very important,” and noted he was “very proud of the fact that he doesn’t have a college degree.”

“He means a lot, and he means a lot, not just to the conservative movement and to the, and to that aspect of our culture, but again, the right to speak freely and share your beliefs and be safe in our country, and it’s just so unfortunate. It’s unfortunate when anybody has violence perpetrated on them, whether you’re liberal or conservative. It’s just wrong.”

GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia: “There really aren’t words”

Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia said of Kirk’s shooting, “There really aren’t words,” and told reporters that it will “be hard for anybody to fill his shoes.”

“Charlie Kirk leaves a huge legacy,” she said.

GOP Rep. Chip Roy of Texas suggests Kirk’s killing “is going to be one of those things that, you know, changes some things”

Far right Republican Chip Roy said of Kirk, “This is a guy that you can disagree with him — I disagreed with him on most things.” But Roy admired that “he was trying to open up dialog and engage in civil discourse across college campus, appeal even those that disagree with them.”

Roy suggested that Kirk’s murder, “is going to be one of those things that you know changes some things.”

“I haven’t quite yet figured out how or what, but you know, it’s, you know, this one, this one hits,” he told reporters at the Capitol.

“We should be able to speak freely and speak with passion and regard about what we believe, without it coming to that. That’s the thing … we’re here for something bigger and greater than all of ourselves,” Charlie lived it, tweeted out three days ago about his faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, so, I know where he is.”

He blamed “a country that’s turning its back on our collective faith as a nation,” saying that “this is why we’re seeing a breakdown and our ability to band together. We got to do something about that.”

GOP Rep. Anna Paulina Luna blames Democrats

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a Florida Republican, blamed Democrats for Kirk’s shooting. “They did cause this — that type of rhetoric. You calling people fascists? You basically saying that we’re Nazis, taking away people’s rights. Charlie Kirk was literally murdered,” she told reporters. Law enforcement does not have a suspect in custody.

    Nancy Pelosi calls shooting “reprehensible”

House Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat, condemned the shooting in a post on X, calling it “reprehensible.”

“Political violence has absolutely no place in our nation,” she said, adding Americans should “hold the entire UVU community in our hearts as they endure the trauma of this gun violence.”

Pelosi, whose husband Paul Pelosi was bludgeoned with a hammer by a man who broke into Pelosi’s San Francisco home in 2022, has frequently condemned political violence.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom calls on Americans to “engage with each other”

California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who hosted Kirk on his podcast earlier this year, wrote on social media that Kirk’s killing is “a reminder of how important it is for all of us, across the political spectrum, to foster genuine discourse on issues that deeply affect us all without resorting to political violence.”

“The best way to honor Charlie’s memory is to continue his work: engage with each other, across ideology, through spirited discourse. In a democracy, ideas are tested through words and good-faith debate — never through violence,” Newsom said. “Honest disagreement makes us stronger; violence only drives us further apart and corrodes the values at the heart of this nation.”

  • 15 of Gavin Newsom’s most brutal roasts of Trump that have the left cackling & MAGA melting down

    Shiela Fitzgerald/Shutterstock; Andrew Harnik/Getty Images

California Governor Gavin Newsom and President Donald Trump.

California Governor Gavin Newsom is setting the internet on fire with his new social media strategy that is not only hilarious but has the added benefit of making MAGA angry.

    Two birds, one stone.

Newsom has been roasting the Right using memes and dunking President Donald Trump and Republican politicians by imitating Trump’s own all-caps, deranged style of posting on Truth Social.

Over the course of the last month, the governor and his social media team have become masters at trolling. Camille Zapata is the head of Newsom’s press office and runs his @CAGovernor account, while director of communications Izzy Gardon and other members of the team run @GovPressOffice and @GavinNewsom, and all of them are well-versed in Internet memes and students of the way Trump likes to post.

The social media posts have been so successful that they’ve managed to anger Republican politicians and even caused a Fox News host to crash out on air. After Newsom’s office posted memes making fun of Vice President JD Vance and Trump supporter Kid Rock, and labeled Kristi Noem “Commander Cosplay” and Tomi Lahren “woke,” The Five host Dana Perino melted down and called on Newsom’s wife to stop him.

Democrats, on the other hand, have been cheering Newsom on by reposting his greatest hits, creating Trump-like AI memes of Newsom, while the media is busy creating best-of lists.

The LGBTQ+ community is rightfully sick of Newsom after he called trans athletes competing in women’s sports “deeply unfair” in the debut episode of his podcast, but it’s hard to deny that his tweet storm is having an impact on Republicans and MAGA voters.

Newsom may be one of the only Democrats willing to fight fire with fire, and the internet is loving him for it!

    x.com

Newsom’s press office making fun of Trump by mimicking the bizarre all-caps way he posts on Truth Social is a hilarious and clever way to dunk on the president. Calling his hands “tiny” and roasting him for needing “little baby stairs” to get into Air Force One is the icing on the cake.

    x.com

“Tiny hands” and “beta” are the perfect nicknames for a man obsessed with his own virility and masculinity.

    x.com

The internet spent a couple of days making fun of the way JD Vance runs, and Newsom joined in on the fun.

    x.com

Newsom’s press office is getting eerily good at posting like Trump. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson was another target for Newsom’s ire, calling him “little man” while roasting Trump for his obsession with maps and calling him Donald “TACO” J. Trump.

    x.com

After Texas House Democrats broke quorum and fled the state for Illinois and California, Texas Senator Ted Cruz poked the bear by writing on X that they were probably off having dinner with Newsom “at the French Laundry.” Cruz meant it as a powerful burn, but Newsom shot back by reminding everyone of the time Cruz fled Texas for Cancun while Texans were being devastated by a harsh winter storm.

    x.com

He has mastered the art of sarcasm.

    x.com

Either Newsom or his social media manager is as chronically online as the rest of us and is getting in on the FAFO trend.

    x.com

Sometimes all he needs to do is laugh at Trump.

    x.com

Newsom has been leading the charge, fighting against the Trump administration’s use of ICE to enact their cruel immigration policies, including dunking on Donald Trump Jr. for being his dad’s mouthpiece and starting a ridiculous wireless phone company.

    x.com

Newsom’s whole social media team deserves a raise for this one!

    x.com

Using the “old man yells at clouds” meme to describe Fox News anchor Trace Gallagher will never not be hilarious.

    x.com

Newsom’s press office posted a video montage of his back and forth with conservative political commentator Tomi Lahren, which included Newsom making fun of her by posting, “Tomi’s account is basically Yelp for toilets now,” with the caption “thoughts and prayers.” Hilarious.

    x.com

Further proof that Newsom has hired funny, young, and chronically online people to run his press office.

    x.com

Talking down to Trump and throwing his own book (The Art of the Deal) back in his face will never not be funny.

    x.com

Superimposing Vance’s face on the meme of Raygun doing a terrible “break dance” at the Olympics is the reason Photoshop was invented.

    x.com

Calling White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller “Voldemort’s hand” and using Cards Against Humanity to say Newsom is hurting him? Chef’s kiss.

    x.com

    No notes.

    x.com

This Republican made the mistake of filming his anti-Newsom “rap” — we’re being generous calling it that — with a cutout of the governor behind him so that it looks like Newsom is taking him from behind. Oops.

  • Trump plans to announce the World Liberty Financial crypto exchange on Monday. Here’s what to know.

Trump plans to announce the World Liberty Financial crypto exchange on Monday. Here’s what to know.

Former President Donald Trump on Monday is expected to announce the debut of a new crypto platform called World Liberty Financial that will be controlled by sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump.

The Republican nominee for president plans to discuss the new venture from his Mar-a-Lago resort at 8 p.m. ET on September 16, 50 days before Election Day. In recent weeks, the Trumps have been promoting the endeavor on social media, touting it as “the future of crypto.”

Trump’s 18-year-old son Barron, a first-year student at New York University, is identified as the project’s “DeFi visionary,” according to a white paper on the project obtained by cryptocurrency news site CoinDesk. DeFi, short for “decentralized finance,” is a term that refers to financial services offered through public blockchains.

“We’re embracing the future with crypto and leaving the slow and outdated big banks behind,” Trump said in a video posted Thursday on X from Mar-a-Lago.

The Trumps’ crypto plans jibe with the former president’s campaign pledge to make the U.S. the “crypto capital of the planet.” But the venture also raises concerns about how Donald Trump might use federal resources to promote a personal financial project.

“Taking a pro-crypto stance is not necessarily troubling; the troubling aspect is doing it while starting a way to personally benefit from it,” Jordan Libowitz, a spokesperson for the government watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics, told the Associated Press.

Libowitz added, “The success of this could be very tied to American economic policy.”

The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to CBS MoneyWatch’s request for comment.

    What is World Liberty Financial?

Because the Trumps have released few details about World Liberty Financial, little is known about how the platform will operate. Crypto exchanges are platforms where investors can buy and sell digital currencies, similar to how a traditional stock exchange operates.

Eric Trump has said that the startup will promote “financial independence,” while Donald Trump Jr. has said it will “make finance great again.”

According to the project’s white paper obtained by CoinDesk, 70% of the company’s tokens will be reserved for company insiders, while the remaining 30% will be distributed through a public sale. A portion of those proceeds will go to a founding team, according to the report citing the white paper.

Why is Trump launching a crypto exchange?

Millions of Americans have invested in or traded cryptocurrencies, although these digital assets tend to attract young men, according to data from Pew Research Center

Forty-three percent of American men ages 18 to 20 say they have invested in, traded or used cryptocurrency, compared to 16% of the general population.

In May, Trump announced that his campaign would begin accepting donations in cryptocurrency, part of an effort to build and solicit support from what he called a “crypto army.”

By contrast, while he served as president, Trump described himself as “not a fan” of cryptocurrency. In 2019, he tweeted that cryptocurrency “can facilitate unlawful behavior, including drug trade and other illegal activity.”

  • Trump $354 million fraud verdict includes New York business ban for 3 years. Here’s what to know.

Trump $354 million fraud verdict includes New York business ban for 3 years. Here’s what to know.

A judge’s ruling on Friday in Donald Trump’s civil fraud trial deals a severe blow to the former president, who is now barred from running the New York-based company that for decades has served as the hub of his global business empire.

In a 92-page decision, New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron barred Trump from serving as an officer or director of any corporation or other legal entity in the state for three years, while his sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., were banned for two years, according to the ruling.

Trump and The Trump Organization were also ordered to pay penalties of $354 million in what is one of the stiffest corporate sanctions in New York history. The total jumps to $453.5 million when pre-judgment interest is factored in.

Engoron ruled last fall that Trump and his company, the Trump Organization, “repeatedly” violated state fraud law by systemically misrepresenting the value of some of his properties and his overall net worth. That enabled his business to obtain loan rates and other financial terms that they otherwise wouldn’t have received, New York Attorney General Letitia James had claimed in filing suit against Trump.

    10:32

More specifically, James’ allegations included falsifying business records, issuing false financial statements and insurance fraud. James’ office claimed that Trump’s misrepresentations led to the company collecting $370 million in “ill-gotten gains.”

Friday’s ruling also appoints Judge Barbara Jones to continue in her role as an independent monitor of Trump’s businesses for at least three years. It orders the addition of an independent director of compliance at the Trump Organization, with Engoron ruling that this person will be responsible for “ensuring good financial and accounting practices.”

“[T]he more evidence there is of defendants’ ongoing propensity to engage in fraud, the more need there is for the Court to impose stricter injunctive relief,” Engoron wrote in his verdict. “This is not defendants’ first rodeo.”

Donald Jr. and Eric Trump fined millions in civil fraud case

    16:58

It’s possible Trump could appoint a trusted adviser to run his business during the three-year ban, noted John Coffee, a professor at Columbia Law School and an expert on corporate governance and white collar crime.

“I doubt that he can appoint someone else without the court’s approval, but one candidate that he will think of is Ivanka, his daughter, who is not a defendant,” Coffee told CBS MoneyWatch. “When Martha Stewart was barred from serving as a director of her own business, which like Trump had her name on it, she appointed her daughter as CEO for three years.”

Ivanka Trump, once an executive at The Trump Organization, was originally named as a defendant in the fraud suit, but an appellate court later dismissed allegations against her due to the state’s statute of limitations.

    Trump: “unAmerican judgment against me”

In a statement, Trump, who is expected to appeal, decried the verdict, calling it “unAmerican” and “a Complete and Total SHAM.”

“There were No Victims, No Damages, No Complaints,” Trump said in his statement. “Only satisfied Banks and Insurance Companies (which made a ton of money), GREAT Financial Statements, that didn’t even include the most valuable Asset – The TRUMP Brand.”

The decision comes just weeks after a federal jury ruled that Trump must pay $83.3 million in damages for defamatory statements he made denying that he sexually assaulted the writer E. Jean Carroll. Trump is also facing numerous additional legal cases

“These bills are really racking up for Trump,” said CBS News legal analyst Katrina Kaufman shortly before the verdict was announced. James “asked for a lifetime ban on Trump in New York’s real estate industry, which is huge for him. This is where he started as a businessman.”

Trump could see the damages reduced on appeal, Columbia’s Coffee said. But to appeal, Trump would have to post a bond covering the $354 million in penalties, he added.

“That will be costly,” Coffee said. “Some banks will post the bond for him, for a hefty fee, but they will want security that they can liquidate easily, and that may require some sale of some of his assets.”

Breaking down Trump’s legal battles after being ordered to pay $83 million to E. Jean Carroll

    04:58

Trump and his legal team had long expected a defeat, with the former president decrying the case as “rigged” and a “sham” and his lawyers laying the groundwork for an appeal before the judgment was even issued.

In 2023, Engoron found that Trump and his company overstated the valuations of many properties by hundreds of millions. The judge cited the Palm Beach, Florida, real estate assessor’s valuation of his Mar-a-Lago club at as low as $18 million — an amount on which Trump paid local property taxes. At the same time, Trump valued the property at as much as $714 million on his annual statements of financial conditions.

Separately, Trump also faces charges in four criminal proceedings. The first trial, which centers on a payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels in 2016, is scheduled to begin in Manhattan on March 25. He has pleaded not guilty in all four cases.

Donald Trump Jr. Discusses His Hunting And Outdoor Magazine – ‘One Of The Least Political Things I Do’

    Opinion

    Source: Field Ethos YouTube

Donald Trump Jr. has launched his own hunting and outdoor magazine called Field Ethos, describing it as ” probably one of the least political things I do.”

    Trump Jr.’s New Magazine

When Trump Jr. is not campaigning for his father, he can typically be found in the great outdoors.

“If I’m in Colorado doing an event, I’ll sneak off for half a day and go fly fishing,” he told Politico. “Today, I had a pretty crazy day of conference calls, but I’m literally in the car, banging all of those out. I’m gonna go do a quail hunt in upstate Florida before I have to drive back down to Palm Beach to have a business dinner at Mar-a-Lago.

“That’s my decompression from the five-speaking-events-a-day general lifestyle that will be my next, let’s call it year,” he added. “The next 12 months are going to be interesting for me and my family ,and it’s great to know I can pick up one of our journals when I just need a break from it all.”

Trump Jr. was first introduced to the great outdoors by his maternal grandfather Milos Zelnicek, who would take his New Yorker grandson on camping trips in then-communist Czechoslovakia.

“I literally just fell in love with it; I read every book there was on the subject,” Trump Jr. said. “All of those things, I think, are getting lost in today’s instant gratification society. You know, kids sit there on a video game. Everything’s … instant gratification.”

    Field Ethos Co-Founder Speaks Out

Field Ethos co-founder and CEO Jason Vincent explained that the target demographic for the magazine is men between the ages of 25 and 55, though a quarter or more of the audience is female.

“That may really just come from the fact that there’s still kind of a draw to that unapologetic male mindset,” Vincent said. “That may be why we’ve built the female following that we have … it doesn’t feel like it’s being watered down to try to get traction with them.”

Vincent went on to say that while the magazine is not explicitly political, there are times when politics intersects with issues that readers are inherently interested in, like gun rights.

“Yes, Don is involved. He’s part of our group of friends and our team at Field Ethos,” Vincent said. “But … Field Ethos is really designed to be a place people can go when they’re kind of sick of that.”

When politics does find its way into the magazine, Vincent said that the politics are “sensible,” middle-of-the-road, and emphatically not far-right.

“The extreme right is not our brand,” Vincent said. “We see ourselves as speaking to a sophisticated audience that is smart enough to not find themselves at the extreme of either side.”

Trump Jr.’s Goal With Field Ethos

In the end, Trump Jr. has a clear goal in launching Field Ethos.

“Creating an alternate viewpoint for the Americans who felt like they’ve been left behind who don’t want to support those things,” he concluded, “that’s a big part of the focus.”

Given how crazy this year is likely to be for the Trump family, we’re glad to see that Trump Jr. has a passion project that will allow him to escape. If you’re a fan of the great outdoors, be sure to pick up a copy of Field Ethos!

Trump Boys Help Father Raise $83 Million By Asking Their Dad For The Money

PALM BEACH, FL—Terrified by the prospect that the former president could go away forever if he didn’t pay, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. reportedly helped their father raise $83.3 million Monday by asking their dad for money. “Wait, I know where we can get some cash—we can ask Dad!” said Donald Jr., the oldest of the Trump boys, whose face immediately lit up with excitement as he grabbed his brother’s hands and explained that the solution to all of his father’s legal and financial woes was just right down the hall. “Dad probably has tons of money! He wears suits all of the time. Once, he even gave me 20 whole dollars on my birthday! He’s a really important man. I know he’ll give us the money—we just have to promise to be extra good and eat all our meat for a week.” At press time, the Trump boys had only $83,299,975 to go after checking their father’s wallet.

  • Jimmy Kimmel Openly Fantasizes About Death Of Donald Trump

Jimmy Kimmel Openly Fantasizes About Death Of Donald Trump

    Opinion

Source YouTube: Jimmy Kimmel Live, PBS Newshour

The radically liberal late night host Jimmy Kimmel has long been one of the most anti-Donald Trump people in the entertainment world. However, he hit a new low during his show on Thursday night when he openly fantasized about Trump dying.

    Kimmel Fantasizes About Trump’s Death

Kimmel spent much of his opening monologue attacking Trump, touching on his legal battles as he showed once again just how obsessed he is with the former president.

“Let me tell you something — if those three judges he appointed to the Supreme Court take this case and rule against him, he is going to blow a whale-sized windmill out of his a**. I mean, it might actually kill him,” Kimmel said.

“Sometimes I wonder, once Trump is dead and and gone and buried on the 18th hole of one of his golf courses, will things get better?” he continued. “Or will we have a whole new crop of MAGA brains to deal with?”

Kimmel also talked about Trump being photographed with red splotches on his hands earlier this week, saying that this is “a common symptom of syphilis.” Referring to Trump once saying that avoiding STDs was his “personal Vietnam,” Kimmel added, “but if he has syphilis, that would mean the only Vietnam he avoided was Vietnam.”

Kimmel Brings Up Melania And Barron

Sinking even lower, Kimmel said that the former First Lady Melania Trump wouldn’t be in danger of getting syphilis if her husband has it because the couple “hasn’t slept in the same bed since… how old is Barron?”

“It’s probably ketchup,” Kimmel stated. “He probably got his hands in a container of curly fries or something.”

Kimmel went on to speculate how Trump would handle it if one of his political opponents was pictured with red splotches on their hands.

“He’d be all over it. He’d talk about it for years. He’d be posting in all-caps about ‘Meatball Ron DeSyphilis’ and ‘Nikki Herpes,’” Kimmel said. “But they haven’t brought it up.”

    Kimmel’s Meltdown Over Iowa Caucus

Earlier this week, Kimmel had a full meltdown over Trump’s massive victory in the Iowa Caucus.

“Even though he barely spent any time in Iowa, he somehow made voters love him more,” Kimmel said, according to Newsweek. “It’s the same strategy he used raising [his sons] Eric and Don Jr.”

Kimmel then played a clip in which Trump celebrated his victory by saying, “These caucuses are your personal chance to score the ultimate victory over all of the liars, cheaters, thugs, perverts, frauds, crooks, freaks, creeps and other quite nice people.”

“It’s like he’s reading his own LinkedIn résumé,” Kimmel said in response. “I mean, seriously. It’s no self-awareness whatsoever.”

After playing a clip of insults that Trump had leveled at his detractors, Kimmel concluded by saying, “Yeah, that’s him. That’s exactly him. That’s the guy.”

Check out that monologue in the video below.

Kimmel’s latest below-the-belt attacks on Trump shows just how afraid the media is of the former president coming out victorious in this year’s presidential election. He can rant against Trump all he wants to, but in the end, he’s not going to sway any voters, as the few people who still watch Kimmel are just as crazily liberal as the late night host is.

The legendary comedian Roseanne Barr confirmed that she is “all in” for Donald Trump heading into 2024 while speaking at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest event in Phoenix, Arizona over the weekend.

Barr Is ‘All In’ On Trump

“‘I’m just all in [with Trump] because I know if I ain’t all in, they’re going to put my a** in a gulag… And I don’t wanna go to a re-education camp and have to give all my money to a bunch of losers that never know how [to] get a job,” Barr, 71, told the crowd, according to Daily Mail.

“If we don’t stop these horrible communists, Stalinists, with a huge helping of Nazi-fascist thrown in,” she continued. “Plus one caliphate to replace every Christian democracy on Earth now! Occupy! Do you know that?”

“We don’t care which party is wrong, we know they’re both nothing but crap!” Barr added. “They’re both on the take! They’re both stealing us blind! We just want the truth about everything we fought and died and suffered to protect!”

Barr later took to social media to explain that she had improvised most of this speech.

“I cannot believe I accidentally deleted my speech when making my last edit just before walking out,” she wrote. “I had to wing it last night, it was so scary. But I’m glad you guys liked it!”

    Barr’s Previous Support Of Trump

Barr has long been one of the only celebrities in the entertainment world who has unapologetically supported Trump publicly. While talking to Donald Trump Jr. on his “Triggered” podcast back in October, she gushed over the former president while also revealing why she thinks liberals are so against him.

“What I love about your dad is he is one funny guy!” Barr said of the former president. “He is so hilarious, and I think that is part of why they hate him. They hate humor. They don’t have any sense of humor about themselves — right there that is what a fascist is.”

“Someone in power who has no ability to laugh at themselves, has no self-reflection; they look in the mirror and there is nothing there,” she continued. “If you can’t laugh at yourself, you don’t have a soul. Your dad laughs at himself and everyone else and he makes everyone laugh. He has the heart of the comedian, which is why we all love him because he’s so funny!”

Calls For Barr To Be Trump’s VP

Earlier this year, the former Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake called for Barr to be Trump’s running mate.

“I know that if President Trump needs a female Vice President, I’m starting to think right now as I’m sitting here: Trump—Barr,” Lake said while interviewing the former “Roseanne” star back in September, according to Newsweek.

“Well, you know, wherever I could be useful fellow and sister citizens,” Barr replied with a laugh. “I have the time and I think I’m smart and I’m definitely committed to the survival of this representational government of, by and for the people and I think that we can’t let it disappear from the Earth because it won’t ever come back.”

The legendary comedian Roseanne Barr, who has long been known as one of the only openly conservative stars in Hollywood, is speaking out this week against the “corrupt” President Joe Biden while defiantly refusing to vote for him.

    Barr Rips Biden As ‘Corrupt’

After Time Magazine named the singer Taylor Swift as its “Person Of The Year,” Barr decided to have some fun by putting her own face on the cover of the magazine in a playfully doctored image, captioning it “there, that’s better.

Newsweek reported that an internet troll unfortunately responded to this by calling Barr, 71, the “loser of the year.”

“It’s sad because I used to actually respect you even when you went nuts…But now that you’re supporting a dishonest narcissistic criminal conman, it is just too much,” the social media user continued, seemingly referring to Barr’s longstanding support of the former President Donald Trump.

Barr fired back in a big way, taking the opportunity to blast Biden.

“I am not voting for Biden what are you talking about?” she stated. “I’ve been very clear on liking the non war causing, non corrupt one.”

    Haters And Fans Respond

The troll responded by writing, “I said nothing about you voting for Biden, I know you’re not. That’s why I stated what I did. You’re voting for the most corrupt politician in history. FYI, Trump will go to prison. That’s what happens when you break the law. It’s sad you don’t understand how the law works.”

Thankfully,” Barr’s fans were quick to rush to her defense.

“Roseanne, He’s just scared. He knows Trump’s going to break all of their toys when he retakes the Presidency in 2024,” one fan wrote.

“The funny thing is… Any true Roseanne fan will know that she doesn’t care what other people think,” another added.

Barr has also frequently bashed Biden. Last month, she commented on a video that showed Biden walking on grass by writing, “Obama’s remote control needs a software update,” according to OK Magazine.

We applaud Barr for continuing to have the guts to go against the liberal world of Hollywood by calling it exactly how she sees it when it comes to Biden, Trump, and politics. Please don’t ever change, Roseanne Barr!
