  • Gwyneth Paltrow Is Auctioning Off Some of Her Wardrobe for Charity

Also up for auction is her Versace ombré gown worn to the 2010 CMA Awards. A more sober black suede dress by Christian Dior that she wore in 1999 is also up for sale.

On the auction site, you’ll also find a number of very personal pieces, such as an 18-karat yellow gold ring with “Gwyneth” in cursive. Or a 14-karat yellow gold necklace featuring pendants engraved with the letters A and M, the initials of Paltrow’s two children, Apple and Moses.

But why part with all these symbolic pieces? “I have all this great stuff that doesn’t go anywhere. I wish I could just have a huge garage sale,” Paltrow explained to Vogue. She decided to hold the auction after selling her Los Angeles home and losing some of her possessions to a fire in one of her storage units. The actor added that she also appreciates giving objects a second life. “It’s nice for those things to live on,” she said. “It’s nice for things to accrue value through different provenances and different owners.”

  • Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Make a Semi-Official Trip to Jordan to Visit José Andrés

    [ad_1]

On Wednesday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle resumed their international work with a trip to Jordan. It’s been nearly two years since they last took an unofficial royal visit outside of the US, following two previous tours of Nigeria and Colombia in 2024. Now, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have landed in Amman to carry out an agenda very similar to the one they kept in their official visits abroad when they were still part of the royal family. It bears more than a passing resemblance to the trip Prince William made a few days ago in Saudi Arabia.

Meghan and Harry’s two-day visit comes in response to an invitation from Dr. Tedros Adhanom, the director general of the World Health Organization. According to the BBC, Adhanom is in charge of receiving them with a warm welcome at the headquarters of the UN-affiliated institution in Amman.

There, the couple took part in a roundtable discussion with representatives of the UN and other organizations on the humanitarian efforts made in favor of people affected by conflicts and forced displacements in the region, precisely the central theme of the program of this visit to Jordan.

Afterward, they traveled to the Za’atari refugee camp in the north of the country, where they visited the Questscope youth program center.

While in the country, Harry and Meghan are also planning to visit several on-the-ground initiatives funded by their Archewell Foundation, including one that arranges for children injured in the Gaza war to be medically evacuated for treatment in Jordan.

Another highlight of the trip will be their visit to the regional headquarters of World Central Kitchen, the food-aid logistics charity founded by their friend, chef José Andrés. During this visit, they will discuss the charity’s work in the context of the Gaza war. The relationship between the Spanish chef and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex dates back to 2020. Soon after their decision to leave the British royal family, WCK became an early philanthropic partner of their charitable foundation. José Andrés has since been one of the couple’s staunchest supporters, and was even a guest on the second season of the duchess’s cooking show, With Love, Meghan.

  • Kelly Klein: The Muse Who Shaped ’90s Fashion With Her Friend Carolyn Bessette Kennedy

    [ad_1]

Together with Kelly, Calvin Klein took his eponymous brand to the next level. She was the one who came up with the idea of adapting men’s underwear for women. From the casual comment “there’s something sexy about wearing your boyfriend’s underwear” came one of the brand’s best-sellers and iconic designs, generating $70 million in 1984. Kelly Rector became a true reflection of the Calvin Klein woman, one who encapsulated glamour and sophistication in a simple cashmere knit dress. The couple married in 1986 while on a business trip to Rome. She wore an ensemble of silk pencil skirt, matching blazer, and a lace bodice, designed by Calvin. They were married until 2006, when their divorce was made official, although the couple had separated 10 years earlier.

    Ron Galella, Ltd./Getty Images

But beyond being Calvin Klein’s wife or his muse, Kelly now defines herself on her Instagram account’s bio as a “designer, photographer, interior designer, author, ceramacist, and mother.” She has edited seven photography books. The first one, Pools, launched in 1992 at a party in New York where all the personalities of the moment were present. In 2015, she published a retrospective of her own photographs, many of which have been published in magazines such as Vogue and Interview. In an interview with Equestrian Living, she credited her parents with helping her develop her aesthetic sensibility. “I think both of my parents were quite stylish,” admits Kelly. “My dad was a film director, so he was quite creative, and mom was an antique dealer who collected art and antiques. She’s had many stores, so I think I got a lot of my art background by growing up with ‘50s and ‘60s furniture in the house, and maybe that inspired me for my modernism background. I was surrounded by the arts growing up, so yes, they definitely had an influence on me.”

  • Kate Middleton Rewears Gucci Gown to BAFTAs 2026

    [ad_1]

But the most eye-catching detail? Undoubtedly the Greville chandelier earrings dazzling at her ears

    Samir Hussein

More recently, however, they have enjoyed a new royal admirer: the Princess of Wales, who has chosen these dazzling diamond for a number of black and white tie occasions. Among the most memorable outings was the 2023 Diplomatic Corps reception, when the Greville jewels proved the perfect accessory for her glittering Jenny Packham gown and Cambridge Lover’s Knot tiara.

When the couple missed last year’s awards ceremony, there were questions over whether the date clashed with the half-term holidays of their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Prince William has attended the awards show on eight occasions since being appointed President of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) in 2010. His most recent appearance was in 2024 – a ceremony that was missed by Kate Middleton as she recovered from surgery. In 2021, Prince William missed the show as it was held the day after the death of his grandfather Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

The Prince of Wales is always dapper in his tuxedo but all style mavens know it is the Princess of Wales who brings the glamour. As the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate first graced the red carpet in 2017 in a bespoke Alexander McQueen gown and wavy-cut Prada sandals. She returned for outings in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2023, returning to McQueen for all but one of these outings: in 2018, while pregnant with Prince Louis, Kate Middleton wore an emerald green creation by Jenny Packham.

The 2026 appearance marks the Princess of Wales’ first BAFTA outing in Gucci and a rare turn in the designer for the royal, who tends to re-wear a handful of key British labels, like McQueen and Packham.

It is set to be a starry evening. The singing voices behind the global phenomenon, KPop Demon Hunters, will perform their chart-topping hit “Golden,” and award-winning British singer songwriter Jessie Ware will perform a special tribute during the ceremony’s In Memoriam.

BAFTA is a leading independent arts charity that brings the very best work in film, games and television to public attention and supports the growth of creative talent in the UK and internationally.

  • Princess Désirée of Sweden Remembered at Private Stockholm Funeral Service

    [ad_1]

King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden led tributes at the funeral of his beloved sister, Princess Désirée of Sweden, on Thursday. The royal family gathered for the service at the Palace Church at the Royal Palace.

Crown Princess Victoria accompanied her husband, Prince Daniel, and her daughter, Princess Estelle, at the ceremony, where they were joined by Queen Sonja, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia, Princess Madeleine and Christopher O’Neill. Princess Désirée’s sister, Princess Margaretha, was also in attendance, wearing a delicate string of pearls around her neck.

Desirée was known to the public as one of the “Haga Princesses.” who grew up in the Haga Palace outside Stockholm with Carl XVI Gustaf and their sisters, Princess Margaretha, Princess Birgitta, and Princess Christina. Officially titled Baroness Silfverschiöld, Princess Désirée passed away on January 21 at the age of 87.

Born on June2, 1938 to Prince Gustaf Adolf, Duke of Västerbotten, and Princess Sibylla of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Princess Desirée’s paternal grandparents were Crown Prince Gustaf Adolf of Sweden and Queen Victoria‘s granddaughter, Princess Margaret of Connaught. She was named after her ancestor, Queen Desideria, and was, at one point, number 306 in line to the British throne.

Princess Désirée was also a first cousin of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. Margrethe’s mother, Queen Ingrid of Denmark, and the Princess’ father, Prince Gustaf Adolf, were siblings.

Despite war in Europe looming large, the Haga Princesses and their brother, the future king, enjoyed a bucolic childhood in the Swedish countryside, growing up alongside the ducks and goats of the Haga Palace—and the family pony, Eva, a gift from the King.

  • Lindsey Vonn’s Dog Died the Day After Her Devastating Olympics Crash

    [ad_1]

In an a historic return to competitive skiing after years away, Vonn qualified for the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics. An ACL tear (Vonn’s third) wasn’t enough to keep her from the Games, but a brush with a gate during her downhill run on February 8 ended that dream. And as Vonn was rushed to the hospital to treat what would be revealed to be a complex tibia fracture, Leo suffered a crisis of his own.

“He had been recently diagnosed with lung cancer (he survived lymphoma a year and a half ago) but now his heart was failing him,” Vonn wrote. “He was in pain and his body could no longer keep up with his strong mind.”

Doctors advised Vonn against travel until she underwent four surgeries to stabilize the break, so she had to bid her ailing pup farewell from afar. “As I layed in my hospital bed the day after my crash, we said goodbye to my big boy,” she wrote. “I had lost so much that meant something to me in such a short amount of time.”

Vonn wasn’t able to return home until this week, when she documented a trip taken via private plane while still reclining in a hospital bed. “My injury was a lot more severe than just a broken leg,” she wrote Tuesday. “I’m still wrapping my head around it, what it means and the road ahead… but I’m going to give you more detail in the coming days.”

On Friday she wrote that she’d just completed a fifth surgery in a hospital in the US. “It took a bit more than 6 hours to complete,” Vonn said. “It required a lot of plates and screws to put back together.”

“With the extent of the trauma, I’ve been struggling a bit post op and have not yet been able to be discharged from the hospital just yet,” Vonn wrote, a circumstance likely worsened by the loss of her beloved pet.

“It’s going to be a while before I emotionally process things but I know he will always be with me,” Vonn wrote of Leo as she announced his passing this week. “There will never be another Leo. He will always be my first love.”

  • Alysa Liu and Her ‘I Don’t Give a Damn’ Aesthetic Has Captivated The World

    [ad_1]

Then there’s her frenulum piercing, seen in photos as a piece of jewlery that extends through through the underside of her upper lip. Speaking with NBC, Liu explained that she did the piercing herself. “I had my sister hold up my lip, and I was looking in the mirror, and I had my piercing needle,” she said of the procedure from around two years ago. The home job was motivated by cost, she said in a 2024 podcast interview. “Getting pierced at a shop is really expensive for no reason,” she said, “so I thought I’d learn it myself, be a little DIY-girl.”

Liu’s willingness to walk away from the sport and her devil-may-care attitude about her look has inspired social media excitement, such as an X post saying “alisa liu being the first woke idgafer alt baddie to win an olympic gold medalist.…THAT’S how you make america great again.”

Part of that attitude is Liu’s refusal to compromise. “These titles are huge, but I don’t want them to overshadow who I am and what I do and what I am all about,” Liu said after winning her gold medal. “Winning isn’t all that, and neither is losing.”

“Through retirement, I realized I am a little bit like a creative person, and I have these ideas. I have my own sense of fashion and I’m a little bit stubborn with it. I love choreography and music, and I do it on my own terms. No one tells me what to do.”

  • Prince William Opens Up About When He Realized His Mental Health Was “Deteriorating”

    [ad_1]

The Prince of Wales then looked back on his years as a volunteer pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance between 2015 and 2017, an experience that he explained impacted him more deeply than he was initially willing to admit, even to himself. “Over time, I noticed my mental health really deteriorating, and I hadn’t really clocked onto it because in that community you try and make light of some of the moments just to keep, frankly, sane and just to keep going,” he said.

In the role, the prince was part of medical health teams operating in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, and Suffolk, dealing with complex and often tragic interventions as a search and rescue helicopter pilot. In that environment, he added, there is a tendency to downplay tough emotions to cope. Only later did he realize, “My god, I’m carrying everyone’s emotional baggage.” He relived fragments of each mission, the pain of family members, the most difficult images: “I was carrying that in myself, and it was really weighing me down.”

The prince also spoke of the difficulty of dealing with others’ pain without trying to fix everything right away: “I have to remind myself that you don’t need to fix everything, but you need to listen, and it’s important just to be okay with those feelings and those comments.” The topic of male suicide and mental health crises in the United Kingdom is unfortunately a very timely one: The Royal College of Psychiatrists has spoken of a “silent mental health pandemic” running through England. In 2024/25, 4.1 million people, including 1.2 million children and adolescents, were reported to be in contact with mental health services, an increase of 56 percent in eight years.

According to data from the Office for National Statistics, suicide was the leading cause of death among young men aged 20 to 34 in England and Wales in 2024, which William unhesitatingly called “a real national catastrophe.” During the discussion, William emphasized that mental health organizations like James’ Place can be “ that little stepping stone” for those struggling.

Prince William piloted search and rescue helicopters.

“We need men to talk more about these issues.”

While discussing suicide prevention, the prince reiterated that talking about it can make a difference and ward off destructive thoughts. “If we talk about that more, and educate people more, then hopefully the idea of suicide keeps being pushed further and further away,” he said. “Because you know that tomorrow, you might wake up and you might feel very different.”

  • Love, Betrayal, and Taylor Swift at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics

    [ad_1]

Romance comes in many forms, as illustrated by the scene when Jutta Leerdam broke an Olympic record and took home the gold medal in the women’s 1,000-meter speed skating event. Leedam’s boyfriend, controversial conservative influencer Jake Paul, appeared to cry frantically as he watched her performance. How beautiful to see such an open expression of sensitivity from the boxer.

Paul was not the only person at the Olympics expressing complicated emotions. Immediately after winning the bronze medal in the biathlon, Sturla Holm Lægreid confessed in tears that he had cheated on his girlfriend: “Six months ago I met the love of my life, the most extraordinary person in the world. But three months ago I made the biggest mistake of my life and was unfaithful to her,” were his words when translated.

In a text message to a Norwegian newspaper, his former partner dismissed his words. “I did not choose to be put in this position, it is painful to find myself in it. It is difficult to forgive,” she wrote. Especially a betrayal admitted on television.

These Winter Olympics are also the opportunity for established couples to publicly display their ongoing romance. Many athletes are longtime partners in life and on the ice, such as skaters Marco Fabbri and Charlene Guignard. Romantically linked even before they became partners on the rink in 2010, the fires of their love still burn brightly. A few days ago, after winning bronze in the figure skating team event, the two exchanged a kiss that captivated the entire arena.

The moment was an inspiration for other couples at the 2026 Winter Olympics, including Milla Ruud Reitan and Nikolaj Majorov, who confirmed their relationship more than a year ago, and Madison Chock and Evan Bates, the free dance winners who have been married since 2024.

  • Katie Holmes Says Goodbye to James Van Der Beek With a Handwritten Letter

    [ad_1]

A full-page handwritten letter posted on Instagram. This is how Katie Holmes decided to say goodbye to James Van Der Beek, who died on February 11 at the age of 48 from colorectal cancer. Holmes and Van Der Beek starred on the ’90s teen drama series Dawson’s Creek in their youth. Last September, Holmes attended a special reunion organized in New York by their Dawson’s Creek costar Michelle Williams to raise money for cancer research. Van Der Beek was unable to attend the reunion being held in his honor for health reasons. His wife, Kimberly, and their six children attended in his stead. Holmes addressed his wife and children in her handwritten letter, writing, “I formed some words with a heavy heart. There is a lot to process. I am so grateful to have shared in a piece of James’ journey. He is beloved. Kimberly, we love you and will be here always for you and your beautiful children.”

Addressed simply to “James,” Holmes’s handwritten letter thanked Van Der Beek first and foremost, saying, “To share space with your imagination is sacred.” She did not go into the details of their memories, but emphasized the word “laughter” and recalled “conversations about life, James Taylor songs—adventures of a unique youth.”

Although she wrote that her heart was “holding the reality of his absence,” the actor still wanted to emphasize her “deep gratitude” for the effect he had on her. And she promised Kimberly eternal support: “We are here for you always.”

Fellow Dawson’s Creek cast member Busy Philipps started a GoFundMe campaign to help Van Der Beek’s widow and their six children get back on their feet, especially after the exorbitant cost of treatment, which had already led Van Der Beek to sell some memorabilia from the set in order to meet the expenses. Many stars have already lent their support with messages of condolence, such as Sophia Bush (One Tree Hill), who called the news of the passing “so damn sad,” and Jennie Garth (Beverly Hills, 90210) and Leslie Bibb, who both responded with a broken heart emoji.

  • The Day Princess Elizabeth Became Queen Elizabeth: How ‘Operation Hyde Park Corner’ Unfolded

    [ad_1]

It was February 6, 1952, when Prince Philip told his wife, who we now know as Queen Elizabeth, that her father King George VI had died. Although the King had suffered from a prolonged illness, the moment still came as a profound shock to the 25-year-old Princess, who had to mourn her dear ‘Papa’ while facing the realization that she was now Queen.

To make matters more complicated, the royal couple were in Kenya at the time. Just a week earlier, King George VI had bid daughter and son-in-law farewell for what was intended to be a six-month tour of the Commonwealth. The King himself had been due to undertake the international journey but had to withdraw due to ill health; he was suffering from lung cancer.

The first stop of the tour was Kenya. After three days in Nairobi, the couple drove up to Sagana Lodge, a property in the foothills of Mount Kenya that was given to them as a wedding present. After lunch on February 5, Philip and Elizabeth ventured out 20 miles to Treetops, a game-viewing lodge overlooking an elephant waterhole where they planned to spend the night before continuing with the duties of their tour.

It was while the couple were there, soaking up the majesty of the African wildlife, that King George VI took his final breath at Sandringham House, in Norfolk. Operation “Hyde Park Corner” whirred into action, and Prime Minister Winston Churchill was immediately informed. However, it took hours for the news to reach the Princess, who only found out after returning to Sagana.

  • All The Royals Expected To Attend the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics

    [ad_1]

From Holland came King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima, accompanied by Crown Princess Catharina Amalia. They will stay in Italy until Feb. 10 to watch the competitions; and on Saturday, Feb. 7, the royal couple and their eldest daughter will visit the Olympic Village to see the home of Team NL. “The king has been invited as an honorary member of the International Olympic Committee,” the Royal Palace wrote in a note.

The British royal family is represented at these Winter Olympic Games by Princess Anne and her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence. She was one of the first royals to land in Milan earlier this week. The princess has been a member of the IOC since 1988, and is also president of the British Olympic Association, participating in both the Winter and Summer Games in an official capacity and supporting Team Great Britain, known more informally as “Team GB.” “I am looking forward to visiting the Olympic venues,” the princess had told reporters.

Anne has a very close relationship with the Games for years, as she was the first of the British royal family to participate in the Olympics, first heading to Montreal in 1976. Her presence was also particularly significant during the run-up to the 2012 London Olympics, as she served as director of the London Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games and helped ensure the success of the 2012 bid. She then traveled to Athens to officially receive the Olympic flame and bring it back to Britain, kicking off an 8,000-mile journey across the country.

Anna’s passion for horses was also passed on to her daughter Zara Phillips, who won an individual gold medal at the 2006 World Championships and a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics; on the latter occasion, it was her own mother who presented her with the medal.

On the eve of the opening ceremony of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, Princess Anne attended an exclusive reception at Palazzo Clerici, organized by the British Consulate in Milan, entitled Winning Together: UK Innovation on the Road to Milan Cortina 2026. The event was attended by entrepreneurs, institutions, sports and cultural representatives, including Donatella Versace and chef Carlo Cracco. During the reception, at which she was escorted by the British Consul in Milan, Kassim Ramji, and Acting Ambassador David Burton, the princess spoke with the president of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana, and the mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala. The meeting touched on sports and cultural issues, with references also to the London 2012 experience and connections with the British city, including integration and greenway projects.

  • Princess Anne Arrives at the Winter Olympics 2026: Relive 50 Years of Her Olympic Looks

Before donning the institutional Olympic robes, Anna wore those of an assiduous supporter and professional athlete of the equestrian discipline of “full riding,” in which the rider must compete in three tests: dressage, show jumping and cross-country. It is a sport that requires technique, readiness, steadiness, but also style, which the princess has not failed to show off in all the Olympic occasions she has participated in over the years, both from the stands and as an athlete.

Sofia also participated in the 1960 Rome Olympics, at only 21 years of age, as a crew member of her brother, the late King Constantine II of Greece, also in the Dragon class of sailing. As a reserve at the Olympic Games, however, Sofia could not share in the gold medal victory won by the team.

It was Felipe who managed to achieve the best sporting achievement in the family. At the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, the then-Prince of Asturias finished sixth in the Soling class, earning the Olympic diploma. On that same occasion he was also Spain’s flag-bearer, receiving one of the most heartfelt ovations at the opening ceremony; his older sister, Infanta Elena, was in tears.

The current ruler wore the regulation uniform of white pants, a dark jacket, a tie in the national colors, and a white hat. Felipe, also fond of squash and skiing, has accompanied Spanish athletes in numerous competitions and participated in several editions of the Olympics, including the 2004 Athens Olympics alongside his future wife, Queen Letizia.

Felipe and Letizia distinguished themselves during the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin by cheering on the Spanish alpine skiing team in the official uniform despite the intense cold and copious snowfall. In his commentary on the race, Felipe pointed out the difficult weather conditions and the differences between an Olympic competition and the World Cup, highlighting the complexity of a one-run race versus a circuit that rewards consistency over time. Despite some poor final results, the prince remained optimistic about the athletes’ chances in subsequent competitions.

  • All The Stars Expected at the Opening Ceremony of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics

    [ad_1]

The countdown has begun. We are now just days away from the official opening of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, scheduled for February 6 at Milan’s San Siro Stadium. For the first time, the ceremony will be spread across multiple locations, uniting Milan, Cortina, and other cities in a choral project involving more than 1,300 cast members from over 27 countries, managed by at least 950 operators and technical staff. The Milano Cortina Foundation calls it “an event of global scope, the result of a choral project involving thousands of people and artistic, technical and organizational skills of the highest level.”

At the center of the narrative is a simple but powerful concept: Harmony. According to Marco Balich, creative lead for the ceremony, “Harmony means transforming our values into images, sounds and shared emotions. It is a journey inside the colors of Italy, but it also speaks to the whole world.” The key word thus becomes the common thread of a show that unites cities and mountains, tradition and innovation, art and sport.

“Fantasia Italiana,” the official theme of the Games, was composed Italian songwriter Dardust, who was tasked with creating an anthem that will evoke both the territories that will host the competitions and the Italian musical tradition. “I wanted to create a lasting emotion,” Dardust says, “a contemporary sound that pays homage to collective memory but also looks to the future.”

Over 500 musicians have engaged in more than 700 hours of rehearsals between Milan, Cortina, Livigno, Predazzo, and Arco della Pace for the opening ceremony, with special attention paid to costumes, makeup and hairstyles. Watch for 182 original designs, and more than 1,400 costumes, 1,500 pairs of shoes on the performers, who are supported by 110 make-up artists and 70 hair stylists.

  • Bruce Willis Isn’t Aware That He’s Sick, Wife Emma Heming Willis Says

    [ad_1]

Bruce Willis does not know that he is sick, wife Emma Heming Willis confirmed in a podcast interview released this week. He still does not understand what is happening to him, she says, and is unaware of the diagnosis that, since 2023, has forever changed his life and that of his family.

“Bruce never connected the dots. He never realized he had this disease.” Emma said on the latest episode of the Conversations with Cam podcast. “It is both a blessing and a curse,” she continued. “But I’m really glad he doesn’t know.”

After an initial diagnosis of aphasia, which was announced in 2022, the Die Hard star stepped away from acting. After reports of a more significant cognitive decline, his family announced that further testing had revealed that Willis was suffering from frontotemporal dementia, a progressive neurodegenerative disease for which there is no cure.

FTD is the most common form of dementia in people under 60 (Bruce Willis is 70) and can also manifest with loss of motor skills, difficulty walking, swallowing or muscle spasms.

A condition called anosognosia frequently accompanies FTD — and it did in Willis’s case. “It’s when the brain can’t recognize what’s happening to it,” Emma said. “For these people, what they experience is simply normality. A lot of people think it’s denial, like when someone refuses to go to the doctor saying ‘I’m fine,’ but it’s not,” she says. “There is no denial here. It is the brain that is changing. It’s part of the disease.”

her words this week echo what she told Vanity Fair‘s Anna Peele in 2025. “Bruce would not be involved with his own coming-out process,” Peele wrote then regarding his FTD diagnosis. “He and Emma did not yet know this, but the part of his brain that controls self-awareness was deteriorating. Bruce will never understand what happened to his brain.”

Speaking now, Emma says the lack of awareness of his situation has also become a form of protection for Bruce Willis. “Bruce never latched on to the diagnosis. Never,” says his wife. “And I’m glad he doesn’t know what’s happening to him.”

Over time, the family has learned to move within a new daily routine, adapting to the progression of the disease. “He is still very much in his body,” says Emma, who found her husband a house near theirs, where he lives assisted by professionals. “And we have moved on together with him. We adapted, step by step.”

As a result, the relationship between the husband and wife has been transformed. “The way he connects with me and our daughters is not what you would normally have with a loved one,” she says. “But it’s still something very beautiful. It’s still full of meaning. It’s just different. You just have to learn to adapt.”

  • Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie Keep Their Flame Burning for the 2026 Winter Olympics

Williams and Storrie’s triumphant walk was closely followed and applauded by the watching crowds, with the two actors posing amid smiles and nods to fans.

The Olympics’ official Instagram account shared a carousel of photos from the day, borrowing a quote from the movie Mean Girls for the caption: “Get in, loser, we’re going to Milan Cortina 2026.”

Comments on the post include enthusiastic fans who pointed out that the choice of the two actors as torchbearers for the Olympics is an opportunity for representation for the LGBTQ+ community in the world of sports, one that “gives hope” for the future. One user wrote, “You guys are really iconic for this. You are really changing the world and having such a positive impact on it.” Others simply celebrated their Heated Rivalry fandom, like the show’s Canadian production company, Crave, which commented, “Call it seated rivalry because we were so sat watching this” on the post.

  • Read Emmanuel Macron’s Heartfelt Tribute to Pharrell Williams

    [ad_1]

He looked back at every highlight of Pharrell’s career, from the Neptunes to hits produced for Jay-Z and Britney Spears, including, of course, the hit song “Happy,” which elevated the singer to international stardom. “The irresistible lyrics of this soundtrack, composed for Despicable Me, a movie made from a French studio, travelled far beyond cinema screens,” Macron said. “Its rhythm spread and you became the man who made the world dance in unison.”

“But Pharrell,” he continued, “with you, creation is never confined to a single art.”

On February 4, 2023, fashion house Louis Vuitton shook up the fashion world with the announcement that Pharrell was to become artistic director of its men’s collections.

Vuitton selected Pharrell “for your irreverence, your boundless creativity, and your total commitment. And from the very first year, you delivered with a spectacular debut collection, unveiled during a landmark show on the Pont Neuf, transformed for the occasion into a golden stage,” Macron said. “The world discovered the silhouettes you had imagined: the Louis Vuitton Damier reinterpreted as bold pixelated camouflage, boldly paired with denim, tailoring, or with unexpected hats and accessories.”

It was, Macron said, “a manifesto show, in your own image, expressing a vision of masculinity liberated from clichés. And you went even further at UNESCO in 2024, where your new collection carried a universal message—a call for unity among humankind, beneath the United Nations flags at the Place de Fontenoy.”

The tribute was also an opportunity to talk about Pharrell’s connection with contemporary art, into which he continues to infuse historical references, pop culture, and a sense of performance: “Moving from musician to exhibition curator might have made others hesitate. But not you. You didn’t shy away from experimenting—not even when it meant being cast in a mold, remaining immobile for hours, breathing through a straw, so that Daniel Arsham could create a sculpture in your likeness. After all, you always sought to learn from the very best, and to create alongside them.”

Macron, who recalled Williams’ participation in the Pièces Jaunes concert with his wife Brigitte Macron, didn’t shy away from commenting on the rigorous lifestyle and discipline of the artist.

“Dear Pharrell, listing all your achievements would be impossible: you have the rare ability to live a thousand passions within a single lifetime,” he said. “You managed to do so because you are incredibly talented, but also thanks to your steadfast discipline that could intimidate even an Olympic athlete. A five a.m. wake-up call. Five hundred sit-ups. Meditation. A hot bath, a cold shower—and sometimes even a burst of songwriting in the bathroom itself.”

Beyond routine, however, is something less tangible, he said. “Behind the brilliance of your success lies this daily rigor. But also a guiding principle to which you remain deeply faithful: gratitude. Gratitude for the journey that brought you here, allowing you, despite worldwide recognition, to remain the humble, witty, and deeply human creator so admired by your teams.”

Vernon Bruce Hoeksema, Valentino’s last companion was also in attendance. Hoeksema spoke of Valentino from the funeral home: “The last words we said to each other? I love you. It will be impossible for me not to remember. I am devastated.” Giancarlo Giammetti, the designer’s right-hand man and lifelong companion, arrived dressed in black and was to read a speech before the final benediction.

  • Queen Letizia Shared Valentino Dresses With Her Mother-in-Law, Queen Sofia

    [ad_1]

Queen Letizia of Spain has been known to borrow an outfit from her mother-in-law, Queen Sofía. A few of those garments were designed by renowned fashion designer Valentino Garavani, who died on Monday, January 19 at age 93.

It has been nearly three years to the day that Queen Letizia was seen wearing a haute couture ensemble from the Queen Mother, designed by the Italian fashion icon, while attending a reception at the Royal Place in Madrid on Monday for the diplomatic corps accredited in Spain alongside her husband King Felipe. She wore a Valentino dress featuring a long, A-line forest green skirt with a pink and white sash at the waist and a sheer, wide-sleeved organza top adorned with large, pink floral embroidery. This gown previously belonged to Felipe’s mother, Queen Sofía, who last wore the look in 1977, the year of the collection, at Gymnich Castle on a state trip to Germany with her husband, King Juan Carlos. He abdicated the throne in 2014.
