Ever since Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham starrer’s first look was announced the hype about Pathaan had started. Fans have been celebrating the release of the film as SRK has returned to the silver screen after almost 4 years. Since the past couple of days, the Pathaan fever has taken over everyone and fans are loving every bit of the film. But there are also a certain group of people who are protesting against the release. The latest buzz is that a mob on Sunday created a ruckus outside a theatre in Mumbai.

According to reports in ANI, a mob on Sunday vandalized a theatre in the Mira Road area in Mumbai screening Pathaan. The mob was there to protest against Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham starrer. It is reported that a group of men carrying saffron flags and allegedly chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ were seen creating a ruckus outside the cinema hall. They even damaged the ‘Pathaan’ film posters. The reports further state that the mob could not reach inside the theatre as the security guards were quite alert and stopped them at the gate itself.

On Sunday evening, King Khan decided to surprise his fans by making a starry appearance outside his house Mannat. He was seen doing his signature pose as he greeted his fans. As the film crossed the 400 crore mark at the worldwide box office, Khan happily came out and waved at his fans. The actor was seen sporting a black shirt and denim jeans. He completed his look with a cool bandana. He also thanked the fans with folded hands. The traffic outside Mannat came to standstill as his fans went gaga over his appearance.

Shah Rukh will be next seen in Dunki which is directed by Rajkumar Hirani. It also stars Taapsee Pannu. He also has Jawan with Nayanthara, Sunil Grover and Sanya Malhotra. The film is helmed by Atlee. Both films are slated to release this year.

Pathaan Day 2 Box Office: Shah Rukh Khan demolishes all records; Headed for Rs 70 crore on Republic Day

Pathaan has demolished all records at the box office on it’s second day by an unheard margin as trends indicate a second day total in the vicinity of Rs 70 crore. The Shah Rukh Khan led actioner was running to packed houses across the board with unprecedented demand for addition of shows in tier 2 and tier 3 centres. The Siddharth Anand directorial clocked an occupancy of 65 percent on it’s second day, despite releasing on over 5500 screens with over 20,000 shows a day. Be it the single screens or the multiplexes – Pathaan has recorded unimaginable occupancy all across and managed to surpass all the expectations on its second day. The Hindi version is looking to collect in the range of Rs 68 to 71 crore, the Tamil and Telugu dubbed version are expected to put in another Rs 2 to 3 crore to the total.

Pathaan runs riot at the box office across India

While the national chains were already operating with optimum capacity on the opening day, the real growth has come at relatively smaller multiplex chains like Rajhans and MovieMax, apart from the single screens.. While Rajhans scored a record-breaking growth of 150 percent over the opening day, MovieMax grew by 45 percent on it’s second day. These jumps have come despite the film performing at excellent occupancy on the day of release. It’s a single day record in both the chains and this shall stand tall for a long time. Even Miraj has shown excellent jump of 40 percent on it’s second day and created an all-time single day record in the chain.

There are some single screens too which performed to optimum capacity on second day. Ashok Cinema (Pune) collected Rs 91,000 on Wednesday and showed over 100 percent growth on Thursday to collect Rs 1.92 Lakh. There’s Radhakrishna Cinema in Chandrapur which as jumped 3x from Rs 76,000 on Wednesday to Rs 3.25 lakh on Thursday. It’s a similar scenario at single screens all across the nation, as Pathaan has pumped in oxygen in multiple dead cinema halls in the interiors of India. There are some other cinema halls in Mumbai like Fun Square in Sanpada and Nishant Cinema in Grant Road, which have been running to empty house for years now and it was a sight on sore eyes to see them put up a houseful board. UMA in Solapur grew from Rs 1.99 lakh to Rs 2.65 lakh.

Pathaan clocks the biggest single day collection of all time

Pathaan has recorded the biggest single day ever for a Hindi Film and also the biggest single day ever for a film in Hindi Market. The film has destroyed all the previous records by a margin of 27 percent, and the second day biz of Pathaan is a record that shall stay intact for a long time. The two-day Pathaan (All India) stands at approximately Rs 128 crore, and the film is fast headed to score a record-breaking opening weekend in the range of Rs 150 crore. The film is already the #1 film of Bollywood as far as records like biggest opening day, biggest single day, biggest second day and biggest opening weekend is concerned and in the days to come, it will topple many more records. In-fact, by the end of it’s run, there is a high chance for every major box office record, including the biggest grosser of all time, to be under the name of one man i.e. SHAH RUKH KHAN. The 2nd day business of Pathaan is of unheard proportion, surpassing all the predictions and theories of the film industry.

Wednesday: Rs 56.50 crore

Thursday: Rs 70 to 73 crore (Estimate)

Pathaan: Salman Khan, Suhana Khan, Deepika, Ranveer arrive for special screening of Shah Rukh Khan starrer

Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer Pathaan released yesterday, on 25^th January, and took the box office by storm on day one of its release! A special screening of Pathaan was held last night, and it was a star-studded affair with many Bollywood celebrities in attendance. Celebs such as Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, his daughter Suhana Khan, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, AP Dhillon, Sussanne Khan, Zayed Khan, Seema Sajdeh, Vidyut Jammwal, and others were spotted arriving at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai for the screening.

Ranveer Singh also donned a black outfit, and matching sunglasses as he arrived for Pathaan screening. Sussanne Khan arrived with her brother Zayed Khan, while Anil Kapoor was also spotted by the paps. John Abraham was clicked along with Sajid Khan. Other celebrities who attended the special screening included Shilpa Shetty, Rani Mukerji, Vidyut Jammwal, Seema Sajdeh, and AP Dhillon.

EXCLUSIVE: Gujarat Government assures a police protection for Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan in the state

Shah Rukh Khan is all set to return to the big screen after 4 long years with the much-awaited Siddharth Anand directed Pathaan. The film is among the most hyped films of Bollywood and is expected to set the box office on fire upon its release on January 25. Over the last few months, the film ran into some controversy, with certain section of society making boycott and ban calls on the film. Cinema halls in Gujarat had received letters from Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal warning them to not screen Pathaan at their properties. Some of the cinema halls were also damaged amid the protests done by the outfits.The Yash Raj Films production also features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan to get Police Protection in Gujarat

Seeing the reactions of VHP and Bajrang Dal, the Multiplex Association of Gujarat, wrote a letter to Chief Minister Bhupendra Bhai Patel and Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi regarding security arrangement at cinema halls before the release of Pathaan. And now, Pinkvilla has exclusively learnt that the Gujarat Government has come in support of Pathaan and promised a police protection for the film release during the Republic Day weekend. Vandan Shah, the Secretary of Cinema Owner Association, Gujarat, confirmed the development to Pinkvilla saying, “It was a great meeting with the Government officials. He has promised police protection at the cinema halls if required to ensure a smooth release for Pathaan on January 25.” We hear, the respected Home Minister of Gujarat has also sent a letter to all police stations and commissioner of state asking them to provide protection to cinema halls in the release week of Pathaan.

For those unaware, Gujarat VHP spokesperson Hitendrasinh Rajput in the past had said, “Pathaan’s screening will not be permitted in Gujarat. The protest against the film’s release in Ahmedabad today should serve as a wake-up call to all theatre owners in the state. They must refrain from releasing the film in their theatres or multiplexes.” In reaction to such comments, the Cinema Associations of the state had reached out to the Government for their support. In a letter addressed to Chief Minister and Home Minister, the cinema owners seeked for official intervention. The experts from the letter read, “There are many groups that are illegally targeting cinema exhibitors based on their own understanding and agendas by unlawfully threatening cinema exhibitors with dire consequences in terms of safety and security of their property, staff and movie-goers if certain movies are released. So, we request all kinds of support from your end regarding protecting (of) our properties and business interest.”

The YRF Spy Universe

Pathaan is touted to be one of India’s biggest action spectacles to date and is a part of Aditya Chopra’s ambitious spy universe, which kicked off with Ek Tha Tiger in 2012 followed by Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) and War (2019). Being the fourth film of the universe, it also marks the inception point for the crossover of characters from one film to the other, which eventually leads to a big-ticket multi-starrer finale.Salman Khan has an extended cameo in Pathaan, in his avatar of iconic spy, Tiger aka. Avinash Singh Rathore. The spy universe then continues with the release of Tiger 3 starring Salman with Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi during the Diwali 2023 weekend. The film will see an extended appearance from Shah Rukh Khan as Pathaan.

AbRam’s favourite scene from Pathaan trailer, Shah Rukh Khan’s first GF: 14 tweets from King Khan’s Ask SRK

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up to set the big screens on fire with his comeback film, Pathaan. The actor made his last appearance in Zero (2018). For Siddharth Anand’s film, he has collaborated with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. It will mark SRK and John’s first collaboration. The much-awaited trailer was released on 10th January on social media. In no time, the trailer took the Internet by storm. Shah Rukh’s action avatar is loved by the netizens. Even his face-off scenes with John have grabbed everyone’s attention. Cinema lovers are eagerly waiting for January 25th to arrive just to see SRK on the big screens.

After releasing the blockbuster trailer, the King of Romance was seen hosting ‘Ask SRK’ on Twitter on Thursday evening. He was free for 10 minutes before he left to play lagori with his kids, so he decided to treat his fans with his humour. He took to Twitter and wrote, “10 minutes #AskSrk then have to leave for a game of ‘Pitthu’ (Lagori) with the kids.”

One of the users shared a collage of his characters from Fauji, Main Hoon Na and Pathaan. In all three pictures, he is seen acing a salute. A fan asked him about his long hair and does he miss them. Shah Rukh will be seen in a long hairdo in Pathaan. The fan asked, “How much you miss your long hair? I also like long hair so mujhe laga yahi puchlu aapse..And you look fabb in longhair style.” He said that he will grow them again when he will take a break. SRK replied, “It was lovely while it lasted. Maybe will grow them@agin when I take a break.”

Another fan asked him about his movie plans in 2024. The question read, “#AskSRK how many movies we can expect in 2024.” He wrote, “Have to finish the ones on hand for now. Will decide in a few months…”

Shah Rukh also opened up about his secret of happiness. He suggested to his fan to ‘keep your lows to yourself’.

Actress Deepika Padukone started off her journey in Bollywood in 2007 with Om Shanti Om. She made her grand debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Since then, she has collaborated with him on quite some films. Now, the duo is all set to spread their charm yet again with Pathaan. Their fans are eagerly waiting to see them together on the big screen after a while. Today, Deepika is celebrating her birthday. To make it extra special, Shah Rukh took to social media to share the new look of Deepika from their upcoming film.

The makers are yet to launch the trailer of Pathaan. They started off the promotions by releasing the teaser and two songs from the film. Recently, Pinkvilla exclusively informed its readers that the team will launch the trailer on January 10, 2023. A source revealed, “Mark the date – the Pathaan trailer is set to be out on January 10, 2023. While the teaser became the talk of the town, the trailer is expected to enhance the buzz around Pathaan even further. It’s a 2 minute 37 second trailer packed with action sequences, scale, music and heroism.”

The source further added, “Pathaan is a true-blue theatrical event film, and the trailer will be a hint of why it warrants a big screen watch. It presents SRK in a manner that a superstar warrants – be prepared for some larger-than-life moments and confrontations between Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham, who plays the antagonist.”

Pathaan also stars John Abraham in an important role. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film will also feature Salman Khan in a special appearance. It is slated to hit theatres on 25th January 2023.

CBFC asks Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer Pathaan to undergo changes; Here’s everything about it

Pathaan is not just a name of a film but it is an emotion of thousands of fans who have been waiting with bated breaths to watch Shah Rukh Khan on the silver screens. Well, not many efforts need to be put in when it comes to spreading SRK’s charm amongst the audiences. And we bet you too must have been drooling over his chiseled body and packs ever since the first looks and posters have been released. Well, till now two songs from the film have been released and both of them have created a massive amongst the fans. Talking about the first song, Besharam Rang, it is still a matter of discussion and has also invited several controversies. Deepika Padukone’s bikinis have surely broken the internet in both good and bad ways. A lot happened over her saffron bikini and the latest reports suggest that the makers have been asked to implement certain changes in the film and submit a revised version.

CBFC asked Pathaan makers to submit a revised version of the film

As shocking as it may sound, but the truth is that the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) has advised Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Pathaan makers to implement certain changes in the film. In addition to this, the songs of the films have also been asked to go through changes and the makers have been asked to submit a revised version revealed the chairperson of CBFC, Prasoon Joshi. According to reports in NDTV, Pathaan like other Bollywood films had reached the CBFC examination committee for certification and went through the due and thorough examination process as per the board’s guidelines.

CBFC chairperson Prasoon Joshi said, “Pathaan went through the due and through examining process as per the CBFC guidelines. The committee has guided the makers to implement the advised changes in the film including the songs and submit the revised version prior to theatrical release. Mr Joshi said that “CBFC is always committed to finding the right balance between creative expression and sensibility of the audience and believe that we can always find a solution through meaningful dialogue between all stakeholders. Whilst the process is getting duly followed and implemented I must reiterate that our culture and faith is glorious, intricate and nuanced. And we have to be careful that it does not get defined by trivia which takes the focus away from the real and the true. And like I have said earlier as well, that the trust between creators and audience is most important to protect and the creators should keep working towards it.”

Besharam Rang controversy

The moment Pathaan’s first song featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, titled Besharam Rang was released, it broke the internet and how! Some loved this peppy track but some found Deepika wearing a Saffron and a Green bikini objectionable. Some activists in Indore staged protests and set effigies of Deepika and Shah Rukh on fire. Even Madhya Pradesh minister Narottam Mishra openly objected to the use of a Saffron costume in the song while talking to media persons a couple of days after the release of Besdharam Rang. He said the film contained some objectionable scenes and threatened to ban Pathaan in Madhya Pradesh if those shots are not replaced.

Stylish Shaleena Nathani while talking about styling Deepika Padukone in the song said that “I was also eager to make this song look like nothing you’ve ever seen before. I wanted the clothes to be very different from what you would see in a song like this. Even the swimsuits she is wearing, colors we’ve used. I wanted to do something which hopefully will be relevant for a long time.”

Shaleena says the song is looking this hot because she also had SRK and Deepika’s magnetic personalities to carry off these clothes! She says, “I also could not have asked for two better actors to dress because there are no two people who carry clothes off better than they do. We did not approach it as a dance number, but what’s great is that we looked at it as a mood where two people would be wearing clothes as they stepped out to go for a party. All this was incorporated in the song which was really nice for me so the clothes were still real that a girl or a guy can wear on a normal basis. So it was a bit of elevated casual fashion for me.”

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in director Atlee’s new film Jawan with Nayanthara and will then collaborate for the first time ever with director Rajkumar Hirani in Dunki with Taapsee Pannu. Both films are scheduled to release next year.

Throwback: When Deepika Padukone turned a rapper and crooned Ranveer Singh’s Apna Time Aayega from Gully Boy

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are one of the most adored couples in the film industry. They don’t shy away from social media PDAs and are often seen dropping adorable comments under each other’s pictures. The couple tied the knot on November 14, 2018, at Villa del Balbianello in Italy’s Lake Como after dating for six years, which was attended by Ranveer and Deepika’s close friends and family. Now, we have come across a throwback video of Deepika rapping to Ranveer’s track Apna Time Aayega from his film Gully Boy.
