Ryan ‘Mr. Lively’ Reynolds Makes Appearance As Deadpool With Hugh Jackman’s Broken Emmy To Accept Creative Arts Emmy Awards

    [ad_1]

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney won five awards at the Creative Arts Emmys for Welcome to Wrexham, the FX series that follows the duo buying the third oldest professional soccer club in the world.

In an acceptance speech Reynolds shared on social media, he appears dressed as Deadpool, holding Hugh Jackman’s broken Emmy.

“Wow, an Emmy, what an incredible honor,” McElhenney starts saying in the acceptance speech “There’s so many people to thank. I’ve been waiting for this moment for 16 years. So I’ve got a lot to say. I’d like to start by thanking—”

Reynolds then interrupts McElhenney and says, “Mr. Lively couldn’t be here to accept this broken Emmy so he sent me on his behalf. First and foremost, Wrexham, we love you. Thank you for letting Rob and the other guy tell your story. Cymru am byth [Wales forever], bitches.”

He continued, “I’d also like to thank the Academy for this honor and for not asking us to attend the televised awards show with the real celebrities. I’d also like to thank FX and Disney for their support and in exchange, Mr. Lively promises to not f*** up my next movie.”

Reynolds ended his speech by calling out the Oscars, adding, “You’re on notice motherf***ers. Maybe we can get a token VFX nod next year. The amount of work on Hugh and Ryan’s face alone is at least worth a nod.”

Watch the complete acceptance speech in the video posted below.

Remembering the startups we lost in 2023 | TechCrunch

    [ad_1]

Not every startup collapse is an FTX or Theranos. They don’t all burn so brightly and explode so spectacularly. More often than not, there won’t be some high-profile court case and prison time. Amanda Seyfried isn’t going to play you in the made for Hulu movie.

The story of most startup failures is far less exciting. The timing isn’t right, funding dries up, runways run out. Of late, a lot of macroeconomic factors have come into play, as well. These past few years have been especially brutal for startup land. According to a recent PitchBook survey, “approximately 3,200 private venture-backed U.S. companies have gone out of business this year.”

Combined, those companies raised north of $27 billion. Even more starkly, it’s a figure that doesn’t include companies that failed after going public or were able to find a buyer. That, after all, would really be stretching the definition of a “startup.”

It’s worth noting, too, that “failure” is subjective. Does bankruptcy qualify? It’s certainly not a good sign with regard to your company’s health, but plenty of companies have managed to bounce back to some degree. This particular question has been cause for plenty of discussion around the old TechCrunch virtual watercooler.

For the sake of a piece titled “The Startups We Lost,” I’ve opted to limit the list to those startups that — to the best of our knowledge — have hit the point of no return. Pushing up daisies. Pining for the fjords.

As the final days fall off the calendar, let’s take a moment to remember some of the startups that didn’t make it.

    Braid

    Founded 2019
    $10 million raised

In October, Braid, a four-year-old startup that aimed to make shared wallets more mainstream among consumers, announced it had shut down. Founded in January 2019 by Amanda Peyton and Todd Berman (who left in 2020), San Francisco-based Braid set out to offer friends and family an FDIC-insured, multiuser account that was designed to make it easy “to pool, manage and spend money together.” Braid raised a total of $10 million in funding “over multiple rounds” from Index Ventures, Accel and others.

What was refreshing about this closure was Peyton’s candor about what led to Braid’s demise. In a blog post, Peyton said that Braid had closed its doors in September, and outlined her experiences — and mistakes — in building the company, ultimately realizing that it wasn’t going to be a viable business venture. An estimated 91% of startups fail. If more founders shared their experience like Peyton did so others could learn from them, maybe that number would go down.

    CloudNordic

    Founded 2007

a screenshot of CloudNordic's status page that reads, "Unfortunately, it has proved impossible to recreate more data, and the majority of our customers have thus lost all data with us."

CloudNordic might not be a household name, but a destructive ransomware attack on its systems propelled the company into the limelight — and its ultimate demise. The Danish cloud host provider shut down this year after close to two decades of operation following a ransomware attack that wiped out the company’s systems and destroyed all of its customers’ data. The company said it didn’t have the money to pay the hackers, and wouldn’t even if it did. With no options left, the company closed its doors.

    Convoy

    Founded 2015
    More than $1 billion raised

    Convoy trucking

The digital freight broker abruptly closed in October 2023, just eight months after the Seattle-based company raised $260 million in fresh funding that pushed its valuation to $3.8 billion. Convoy, founded by former Amazon and Google exec CEO Dan Lewis and CTO Grant Goodale, will live on — sort of.

Supply chain logistics platform Flexport acquired the assets of the shuttered digital freight network with plans to restore Convoy’s trucking logistics services for customers. Flexport didn’t acquire the business or any of its liabilities, but its CEO said it did plan to retain “a small group of team members from their core product and engineering team.”

    Daylight

    Founded 2020
    $20 million raised

In May 2023, Daylight, an LGBTQ+ banking platform that had raised $20 million in funding, announced it would be shutting down and ceasing operations on June 30. The announcement came months after NY Magazine published an explosive feature on the neobank. The article honed in on Daylight, whose seed and Series A fundraises TechCrunch had covered here and here, respectively. NY Mag’s piece detailed a lawsuit brought on by three former employees as well as alleged fabrications and inappropriate behavior on the part of co-founder and CEO Rob Curtis.

In a blog published in May, Curtis said he felt like “now is the right time to exit this market.” We heard in October that the suits had been dismissed by a federal court and that Daylight was acquired, but Curtis declined to comment further when we reached out. It was a disappointing outcome but one that highlighted the challenges of neobanks that target specific demographics. At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw a flurry of such startups raising money, but since then, things have been relatively quiet. Part of the challenge is providing differentiated services that are actually unique to a certain community. Since Daylight’s closure, Curtis has moved on to a tequila-related venture.

    Fuzzy

    Founded 2016
    $80 million raised

Some startups die long, protracted deaths. Not Fuzzy. The pet care telehealth startup was here one day and gone the next. In February, the firm was reportedly hyping its growth on internal Zoom calls. Within months, the company had closed up shop. Fuzzy’s site was taken down without any warning issued to customers.

From the sound of things, even some top execs were left wondering precisely what had happened to the startup. That certainly hasn’t stopped the competition from attempting to capitalize on Fuzzy’s demise.

    IRL

    Founded 2016
    $200 million raised

    irl logo

IRL’s meltdown was a hot mess. In 2022, the event organizing social app laid off one-quarter of its 100 or so employees. Co-founder and CEO Abraham Shafi put the blame on an extremely volatile market, while stating that the company’s cash runway would last at least until 2024. Then it shut down this June.

No social network is completely devoid of bots, but an internal investigation by its board of directors found that such accounts constituted around 95% of its 20 million active monthly users. In a lawsuit filed last month, IRL’s co-founders accused their investors of falsifying that figure in order to sabotage the firm, which was previously valued at $1.17 billion.

    IronNet

    Founded 2014
    $400 million raised

IronNet, founded by former NSA director Keith Alexander, was a once-promising cybersecurity startup, which at its peak raised more than $400 million in funding. But in the end, IronNet was no match for market forces (and poor leadership). After a bumpy ride going public and rounds of layoffs, Alexander departed as CEO in July and was replaced with the chairperson of the company’s largest investor. IronNet scrambled to stay afloat, but lasted only a few weeks longer before it laid off everyone else and filed for bankruptcy.

    Mandolin

    Founded 2020
    $17 million raised

Plenty of startups struggled through the pandemic. Others thrived. Founded in June 2020, the concert livestreaming platform was the right startup at the right time. After all, it had only been a few months since venues across the U.S. closed their doors indefinitely. Mandolin’s subsequent rise was swift, taking on big name events with artists ranging from Lil’ Wayne to the Lumineers.

A year after its founding, the Indianapolis-based firm raised a $12 million Series A, following a $5 million seed round the previous October. In 2022, it seemed as though the platform was still thriving, even as venues across the country had re-opened. Mandolin diversified into other aspects of the live music experience, including venue partnerships and merchandizing.

This April, however, the startup announced on Instagram that it was closing up shop. “After 3 incredible years,” it noted, “we are sad to announce that Mandolin will no longer be offering the digital fan experiences you’ve come to love.”

    Veev

    Founded 2008
    $597 million raised

    Veev raises $400M

Veev, a real estate developer turned tech-enabled prefab homebuilder, as of November was on the verge of shuttering after reaching unicorn status last year, according to multiple reports. Calcalist reported on November 26 that the company — which raised a staggering $600 million in total, $400 million of which was secured in March of 2022 — was going to have to close up shop after an “abrupt cancellation of a capital-raising initiative.” Later that week, it was reported that Veev was “undergoing liquidation.”

It was a bit of a shocking turn of events considering just how much money the company had raised not even two years prior. The closure was not the first startup failure for Veev co-founders Heller and Ami Avrahami. Another one of their proptech ventures, Reali, began a shutdown in August of 2022 after raising more than $290 million in debt and equity funding. Zeev Ventures was an investor in both companies.

    ZestMoney

    Founded 2015
    $121 million raised

In mid-May, Manish reported on the fact that founders of ZestMoney had resigned from the startup. The Indian fintech, whose ability to underwrite small ticket loans to first-time internet customers, once drew the backing of many high-profile investors, including Goldman Sachs. By December, Manish had reported that ZestMoney was shutting down following unsuccessful efforts to find a buyer.

The Bengaluru-headquartered startup — which also identified PayU, Quona, Zip, Omidyar Network and Ribbit Capital among its backers — employed about 150 people and had raised over $130 million in its eight-year journey.

    Zume

    Founded 2015
    $445 million raised

“Pizza was our prototype,” co-founder and CEO Alex Garden told me in 2018. Three years after its founding, Zume made a major pivot. While it will forever be remembered as the pizza robot startup (that’s a hard identity to shake), the Southern Californian company cast a wider net. First it was exploring non-pizza delivery trucks. Two years later, it pivoted into sustainable food packaging.

Throughout its many lives, one certainly can’t pin Zume’s ultimate demise on a failure to adapt. Nor was it a lack of funding, as the company raised nearly half-a-billion in its eight-year history. That includes a 2018 SoftBank round of $325 million that valued the company at north of two billon.

Zume liquidated its assets in early June.

  • I Can't Wait to Go to the Movies in 2024

I Can't Wait to Go to the Movies in 2024

    [ad_1]

I remember exactly where I was when I first watched it: the trailer for Challengers starring Zendaya, Mike Faist, and Josh O’Connor. That was my Super Bowl. It had everything: besties, bisexuality, and Zendaya in that Blonde bob.

I had waited months to finally get a glimpse of Zendaya’s collaboration with Luca Guadagnino. Ever since the film had been announced, we’d savored clips of Zendaya practicing her tennis game, Tomdaya strolling around Boston on location, and even her judgemental looks (and flawless courtside fashion) at Wimbledon and the US Open.

And just when we were on the precipice of a legendary press tour — that was supposed to include a stop at the Venice International Film Festival — it was taken away from us by the SAG strike.

Challengers was originally slated to premiere on September 15, 2023. Due to the strike, it was pushed back to April 26th, 2024. You can understand my devastation. Especially since Challengers was not the only casualty of the strike. Many films were pushed from late 2023 release dates and into 2024. Luckily, we had some bangers to close out the year. But we have been so brave and, in the new year, we are about to be rewarded.

2024 promises a slew of highly anticipated films. And not just delayed projects, but other cinematic delights that we’ve been waiting years for. And with the press circuit back and better than ever, we also have promotional interviews, red carpets, and more to look forward to. After Barbie put on a marketing masterclass, next year promises to take it up a notch. And I, quite frankly, cannot wait.

Here are some of our most anticipated titles in 2024:

    Challengers, April 26

It goes without saying that I’ll be first in line when tickets are finally released. Join me to watch Zendaya play a retired tennis star in the middle of a years-long love triangle. All directed by the man who made Call Me By Your Name.

    Dune: Part II, March 15

Speaking of delayed Zendaya projects, Dune’s long-awaited sequel is finally coming. Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya will be joined by Austin Butler and Florence Pugh — which is enough for me.

    Argylle, February 2

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGtBhaafq70

If you can’t wait until the Spring, don’t worry, Argylle will be out in February. It promises to be a hilarious take on the spy genre that subverts all the old tropes and cliches. It stars Dua Lipa and Henry Cavill. We’re in for a delightfully ridiculous treat.

    The Fall Guy, May 3

Another comedic action film, The Fall Guy stars Ryan Gosling as a stunt man who becomes the hero of the screen when he has to save his ex, Emily Blunt. If you liked Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum in The Lost City, you’ll love this.

    Spaceman, March 1

Based on the book Spaceman of Bohemia by Jaroslav Kalfař, Adam Sandler is returning to dramatic roles with a movie that promises to be his next Uncut Gems or Punch Drunk Love. He stars alongside Paul Dano, Carey Mulligan, and Kunal Nayyar stars as an astronaut whose life unravels while he is on a mission.

Mean Girls: The Musical, January 12

While this might not be as giant as Barbie, this musical remake of the 2000s classic is already a hit. Starring Renee Rapp as Regina George, a role she has been playing on Broadway for years, I can’t wait to relive all the iconic Mean Girls moments on the big screen.

The American Society of Magical Negroes, March 22

Black satire is back in a big way. After the success of 2023’s American Fiction, I am excited to see another film that examines Black representation in pop culture. This satire stars Justice Smith as a man who enters a secret society of Black people who embody the “magical negro” trope.

Bob Marley: One Love, February 14

Biopics can be hit or miss, so fingers crossed that Kingsley Ben-Adir’s turn as Jamaican singer and songwriter Bob Marley hits the right notes. Produced in partnership with the Marley family, the film spotlights his life and career, including his political activism and fight for peace.

    Mickey 17, March 29

One thing about me? I love an unsettling film — hence my devotion to Saltburn. Bong Joon-ho’s first movie after Parasite, Mickey 17, promises to fit the bill. It stars A-List weirdo Robert Pattinson in an adapted tale about a man who dies and is reborn with memories of his past life.

    Deadpool 3, July 26

Deadpool 3 might be the last good Marvel movie we get because it’s looking pretty bleak for the next generation. Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds team up for this tale of Deadpool and Wolverine. The summer blockbuster we deserve.

    Kraven: The Hunter, August 30

Hear me out: Aaron Taylor Johnson. Marvel is trying their best to replicate the success of Joker with their own villain origin story. Kraven is a Spiderman villain but, more than that, I would like to reiterate: Aaron Taylor Johnson.

Joker: Folie à Deux, October 4

Following the Oscar-winning success of the first Joker , DC is hoping this sequel will save them from the despair of 2023’s The Flash. More than anything else, I’m curious to see Lady Gaga join Joaquin Phoenix as Harley Quinn.

    Wicked, November 27

While movie-musicals have a spotty history (think: Cats and Les Mis), Wicked is so iconic I want to believe in it. It stars Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum. The cast has already made headlines for Slater’s relationship with Grande — it’s giving Don’t Worry Darling presstour-levels of chaos already.

    Gladiator 2, November 22

Will 2024 make me an action movie stan? If Paul Mescal has anything to do with it, it’s more likely than you think. Gladiator, the 2000 film starring Russell Crowe, spawned a generation of men thinking about the Roman Empire. Ridley Scott returns with this long-awaited sequel to hope he can strike lightning twice.

Rumor Mill: Marvel Studios Reportedly Will Delaying ‘DEADPOOL 3’ & Replace It’s May 2024 Release Date With ‘Captain America 4’

    [ad_1]

    Source: Jeff Kravitz / Getty

Allegedly Marvel Studios will delay Ryan Reynolds Deadpool 3 and replace the release date with Captain America 4.

Next year Marvel is set to ramp up their Cinematic timeline and build up the next installments of the Avengers franchise. Reportedly Ryan Reynolds Deadpool 3 will be a major building block for the MCU and feature the return of Hugh Jackman. Jackman will once again dawn the Wolverine monicker alongside his real-life bestie. Fans have waited years for the film to release and it is set to arrive on May 3, 2024.

According to ScreenRant, the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike may cause the movie to be delayed once again. However, the film has wrapped principal filming, and small reshoots are all that’s left. So it’s a small chance the delay could be avoided.

Furthermore, Insiders suggest we will see several of the former Fox Marvel characters in the film.

The film could be the cameo-heavy movie leakers claimed Dr. Strange would be. The film hasn’t officially been delayed but the rumors also suggest Marvel has a solution to keep the May 2024 release date. Anthony Mackie’s upcoming outing in his first solo Captain America film could replace Deadpool 3. Captain America: Brave New World starring Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford is allegedly done filming and could be ready to go by May. From COVID-19 to actor strikes Marvel hasn’t caught a break in a very long time.

Additionally, If we see a few more delays we might not get the next Avengers movie until 2030.

The drawing, originally crafted by the talented Instagram fan, has taken the Reynolds and Lively fans by storm with its hilariously quirky rendition of the stunning actress.

Here’s how Blake Lively responded to Ryan Reynolds’ repost!

Reynolds with his signature playful banter recently shared a hilarious fan art that drew inspiration from one of Blake’s recent Betty Buzz ad campaigns. When Taylor Swift channeled her inner Deadpool for Halloween in costume borrowed from Ryan Reynolds

    [ad_1]

Taylor Swift all the way back into the wonderous world of 2016, dressed up as the foul-mouthed superhero, Deadpool for Halloween. But that shouldn’t really come as a surprise as Deadpool was one of the biggest superhero movies of 2016. In fact, it was the world’s first introduction to the anti-hero Wade Wilson. The film made headlines when it premiered becoming one of the highest-rated projects of the year, so it was evident, as Halloween approached, who people’s number-one costume choice was going to be. The difference between Swift and the rest was that the singer’s costume was more authentic.

Even though the Deadpool costume was insanely popular in 2016, it was Swift alone who had the privilege of sporting the actual outfit worn by Reynolds in the movie. The Anti-Hero singer had taken to her Instagram to thank the star for lending her, his costume, she wrote, “Thanks @vancityreynolds for this costume, you’re the BEST deadpool inside contact ever,” alongside posting a picture of herself dressed in the whole ensemble, with her whole squad. Swift’s close friend and Reynolds’ spouse, Blake Lively was so impressed with the whole look that she wrote in the comments, “#HusbandUpgrade”

The two have been friends since 2015, and they still maintain a very close bond till date. Though Taylor Swift is recognized for her group of friends, there are two individuals within her close-knit circle with whom she shares a particularly strong bond, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. The Better Than Revenge singer is so integrated into the couple’s lives, that their children affectionately address her as Aunt Taylor. Following her recent split from Joe Alwyn, the 33-year-old temporarily paused her highly anticipated Eras tour to enjoy some valuable moments in New York City with the Lively and Reynolds.

Meanwhile, how the singer and actress became friends, might tickle some people’s bones. Back in 2014, Blake paid tribute to Swift’s Bad Blood song, but many fans took it as a diss, to which the Gossip Girl actress replied hilariously. She wrote on her Twitter, “Umm whoever thought I was throwin shade clearly doesn’t know I have a ‘Taylor Swift Please Be My Wife Voo Doo Doll.”

  • Jennifer Garner Returns as the Corset-Wearing Elektra in ‘Deadpool 3’

Jennifer Garner Returns as the Corset-Wearing Elektra in ‘Deadpool 3’

    [ad_1]

Just last month, actress Jennifer Garner told Allure that she was “not comfortable ever once” in the restrictive costume she wore to play the comic book character Elektra in 2003’s Daredevil and its 2005 follow-up, Elektra. It appears, however, that Garner is prepared to grin and bear the discomfort in the upcoming Marvel movie Deadpool 3, where she’ll reprise the role.

Garner, who at 51 sports a box jump enviable for a person half her age, isn’t the only physically adroit actor expected to appear in the latest film in the Ryan Reynolds-starring franchise. As reported last fall, Hugh Jackman, now aged 54, has been preparing for the physical demands of his X-Men character Wolverine, whom he first played in 2000.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “multiple sources” confirm that Garner will appear as the sai-wielding assassin in the latest Deadpool film, shooting for which is already underway under Disney’s Marvel Studios. (The previous Deadpool films were made by 20th Century Fox, which Disney has since acquired.)

Its director is Shawn Levy, who has some experience wrangling Garner and Reynolds as the director of the 2022 Netflix feature The Adam Project, in which she played Reynolds’s (age 46) mom. (That’s not as bad as it sounds: the sci-fi/action movie was based around a time travel plot, and Garner played the mother of Reynolds’s far younger self.)

It’s possible that this entry in the Deadpool series will look significantly different from the previous two, and not just because of its new ownership. As the Writers Guild of America strike is still underway, Reynolds—who is also credited as a writer on the film—is not allowed to improvise any dialogue for the traditionally ad-lib-heavy role of the so-called “merc with the mouth,” Collider reports, and the film must follow the script as penned prior to the strike’s beginning “to the letter.”

While Deadpool is grappling with that change, perhaps a costume revision for Garner is also in the works. Though it’s been 18 years since Garner played Elektra, she still seems to have vivid and traumatic memories about Elektra’s outfit, saying in a video released last month that she was required to wear “three different jellies” to fill out the chest area in the anti-hero’s signature red corset. “Corsets are not comfortable,” she said. “But they do look good.”

Did Ryan Reynolds ‘steal’ Matthew Perry’s character from FRIENDS? Here’s what we know

    [ad_1]

Matthew Perry seems to believe that fellow actor Ryan Reynolds drew inspiration from his iconic sitcom portrayal and incorporated similar performance elements before achieving fame in the entertainment industry. Confidential sources close to Perry reveal his unwavering conviction that Reynolds borrowed his character and delivery without ever acknowledging it publicly.

Matthew Perry’s decades long resentment towards Ryan Reynolds

Insiders disclose that the Friends actor has carried these sentiments for over two decades, unable to find closure. The focus is on Reynolds’ involvement in the late 1990s sitcom Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place, where he inhabited the character of Michael Bergen for four seasons. During this period, Perry strongly suspects Reynolds may have observed and emulated certain aspects of his beloved Chandler Bing character from Friends.

The depth of Perry’s conviction stems from his deep emotional connection to Chandler Bing and the significant impact the character made on popular culture. As insiders explain, Perry’s portrayal of Chandler resonated deeply with audiences worldwide, making it understandable why he might feel unsettled by potential similarities in the deadpool actor’s work.

Matthew Perry responsible for Ryan’s successful career?

According to an insider, Ryan’s sitcom Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza played a pivotal role in shaping the Red Notice actor’s artistic identity as both a performer and a creative force in the industry. It served as a blueprint for his distinctive voice and ultimately influenced his career trajectory as an accomplished writer and producer.

Ryan Reynolds swiftly ascended to stardom in Hollywood, seamlessly transitioning from television to starring roles in blockbuster films such as Deadpool, Free Guy, and numerous others.

While Reynolds has never explicitly acknowledged Matthew Perry’s character as a source of inspiration, sources emphasize that from Perry’s perspective this is irrelevant. The insider further revealed that Perry finds it particularly irksome that Reynolds has never made any reference to the alleged influence.

However, it is crucial to note that Perry does not harbor any aspirations of achieving the same level of success as Reynolds. Perry is known for his candid acknowledgment of the detrimental impact his own struggles with substance abuse had on his life, recognizing the near-fatal consequences it posed.

Hugh Jackman On Training For Wolverine In ‘Deadpool 3’: It’ll Be ‘My Job’

    [ad_1]

Hugh Jackman opened up about why he’s playing Wolverine for a 10th time and joked with CNN’s Chris Wallace that “Wolverine 10” is the title of “Deadpool 3,” the movie where Jackman is set to reprise his iconic “X-Men” role (You can watch Jackman’s interview below).

Jackman, who first appeared as Logan/Wolverine in 2000, revealed that he will make it his job to prepare to play the beloved character in the superhero movie set for a 2024 release.

“I’ve learned you can’t rush it. I’ve learned that it takes time,” said Jackman during his appearance on “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?” this past weekend.

″So we have six months from when I finish [‘The Music Man’ on Broadway] to when I start filming and I’m not doing any other work, I’m going to be with my family and train. That’s going to be my job for six months.”

Jackman told Wallace that he’s “really fit right now” and contributed his fitness to doing eight shows a week on Broadway.

“So, I’m healthy. I have a good place to start. And apologies, chickens, run a mile. Start running now because I’m coming for you,” Jackman said.

Wallace asked Jackman, whose character died in the 2017 film “Logan,” revealed that the upcoming “Deadpool” movie is set at a time prior to his last appearance as Wolverine.

He added that he thought he “was done” with the character that is part of one of the highest-grossing film series of all time.

“Like I was at peace with it, I got asked every day, during interviews or Ryan Reynolds ringing me ‘Can we do it again?,’ I’m like ‘no, I’m done,’” Jackman said.

He added: “When I keep thinking of me and Ryan – of Deadpool and Wolverine, which are classic comic book rivals – there’s also a dynamic that I’ve never really got to do before as Wolverine.”
