DDG is back again with more comments on his estranged ties to Halle Bailey. Less than a week after he announced their breakup, multiple posts and clips have circulated online of the streamer talking about the mother of his son, Halo. This time, he’s clearing the air about whether he’s interested in dating someone else.
DDG Shuts Down Speculations About “New Girlfriend”
As mentioned, DDG has been chatting it UP about him and Halle since revealing their split on Oct. 3.
“The decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us. We are still best friends and adore each other,” the rapper wrote on Instagram Stories. “As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parents, we cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we’ve shared.”
Despite him claiming they remain friends, ‘The Little Mermaid’ star hasn’t backed up his statement. Bailey had yet to share any content on social media or statements with the media about the end of the relationship.
Meanwhile, in one of his recent streams, DDG responded to an online user who suggested he might’ve already met someone or is ready to start dating. He immediately shut down the assumption.
“No, let me say that right now, y’all. I am not dating anyone, I don’t have a potential girlfriend nor do I even think about that whatsoever. I don’t plan on getting into another relationship at all, unless it’s Halle. That’s the only way. I am not finna get a new girlfriend. I don’t have the desire. I don’t want multiple baby mamas, I don’t want none of that.”
He added, “We taking a break like I said. I’m finna go pick my son up after this. Let me life my life, that’s none of your business.”
DDG Has Been A Chatterbox Since Announcing The Breakup From Halle Bailey
In addition to putting their relationship business on the internet, DDG has also kept the conversation going. On the same day that he posted about the breakup, he released an episode of ‘No Ordinary Podcast,’ in which he spoke about how he’d advise his 22-year-old self to remain single.
Amid that, the streamer cleared the air after a post allegedly leaked from his Close Friends on Instagram Stories. The post, which many assumed was written by DDG, revealed that he and Halle split for “personal reasons.”
Additionally, it said: “We chose to split because of personal reasons. Nah its not a skit. I’m not hurt and I’m not missing out on anything and her head game is [trash can emoticon] AF lol, as long as my son good, I’m good.” He later denied creating it, saying he doesn’t “even use Close Friends.”
Over the weekend, DDG also clapped back at Joe Budden, who suggested that DDG is becoming known for clout-chasing using Halle’s name.
In another recent podcast episode, DDG also reacted to folks trolling his and Halle Bailey’s breakup. He asserted that no matter what, they would be “forever family.”
