This time, he’s clearing the air about whether he’s interested in dating someone else.

    DDG Shuts Down Speculations About “New Girlfriend” 

    As mentioned, DDG has been chatting it UP about him and Halle since revealing their split on Oct. 3.

    “The decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us. We are still best friends and adore each other,” the rapper wrote on Instagram Stories. “As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parents, we cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we’ve shared.”

    Despite him claiming they remain friends, ‘The Little Mermaid’ star hasn’t backed up his statement. Bailey had yet to share any content on social media or statements with the media about the end of the relationship.

    Meanwhile, in one of his recent streams, DDG responded to an online user who suggested he might’ve already met someone or is ready to start dating. He immediately shut down the assumption.

    “No, let me say that right now, y’all. I am not dating anyone, I don’t have a potential girlfriend nor do I even think about that whatsoever. I don’t plan on getting into another relationship at all, unless it’s Halle. That’s the only way. I am not finna get a new girlfriend. I don’t have the desire.     Additionally, it said: “We chose to split because of personal reasons. Nah its not a skit. I’m not hurt and I’m not missing out on anything and her head game is [trash can emoticon] AF lol, as long as my son good, I’m good.” He later denied creating it, saying he doesn’t “even use Close Friends.”

    Over the weekend, DDG also clapped back at Joe Budden, who suggested that DDG is becoming known for clout-chasing using Halle’s name.

    In another recent podcast episode, DDG also reacted to folks trolling his and Halle Bailey’s breakup. He asserted that no matter what, they would be “forever family.”

    In a lengthy statement, the rapper/content creator revealed that he and the Little Mermaid star had mutually agreed to go their “separate ways.”

    “Dear friends and supporters after much reflection and heartfelt conversations Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways,” he wrote. “This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path for both of us. I cherish the time we spent together and the love we’ve shared.”

    The rapper went on to say that the two of them will still consider each other as “best friends” and continue speaking of one another in high regard despite the split.

    “Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other as we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parent we cherish the bond we built and the beautiful moments we’ve shared as we navigate to transition we asked for your understanding and support. “

    The not-sure-if-serious split comes after the pair welcomed their already meme-famous son, Halo, earlier this year.

    Naturally, fans went into detective mode to find a reason behind the split and pointed to a fruit-bearing Usher as the culprit.

     

    During his recent LA show, Usher floated to a number of women in the crowd to seductively feed them fruit before arriving at Halle and then-boo DDG who took the cherries from the ‘Bad Girl’ singer and fed them to Bailey himself.

    Following yet another viral Usher show moment, DDG posted about the interaction on Snapchat, writing, “usher tried to give halle a cherry in front of me.”

    The messaged emphasized that they will still remain close friends despite the change.

    TMZ caught up with the rapper outside the whimsical store for the youngest shoppers in L.A., English Rabbit, where the new papa dropped an easy $5k in that one store for his baby boy.

    As BOSSIP previously reported, last week, DDG and Halle joyfully introduced their newborn son, Halo, marking the first official confirmation after months of speculation about their pregnancy.

    The Youtuber-turned-rapper posted a vlog on his channel that features some snippets of his new life as a dad. DDG let fans have a peek at one of Halle’s 4K ultrasounds, along with some footage of him sweetly rubbing on his girlfriend’s growing bump on their baby moon in Bora Bora.

    He revealed why he and his lady decided to keep news of their pregnancy private until the baby was born stating, they never felt like they had to cave to social media pressure and only decided to introduce Halo when they felt comfortable doing so.

    “I’m a dad. I’m a dad, y’all. I have a son — I have a baby boy. He’s a newborn — he was actually born last year but we were just waiting on the right time to basically break the news or whatever. It’s a blessing and I love him so much!”

    DDG also gave kudos to new mother Halle and shared that he has a “newfound respect” for women after watching Bailey give birth to their son.

    “Listen, if I see one more person say something about my nose one more time, it’s going to be hell to pay. And you know why? Because I am Black. I love my nose. What is you concerned about my nose for? Leave me the hell alone.”

    In the caption of the singer’s post, she explained that 2023 brought her “the greatest thing,” which is her son. Before she concluded her post, the 23-year-old even poked a little fun at social media’s interest in her newest family member.

A video obtained by The Shade Room showed her and DDG sitting close together enjoying the show, and at one point, Bailey even turns to DDG laughing over something Usher did on stage. Usher posted pictures on his Instagram Story of the couple together backstage after the concert ended, tagging their handles in the post. Romance rumors swirled afterward, but the two didn’t go public with their relationship until a few weeks later, and in the sweetest way.

    On March 27, 2022, DDG confirmed his rumored romance with Bailey in a since-deleted Instagram post by wishing her a happy birthday. “Happy Birthday to the beautifulest, the flyest, the sweetest ❤️ love you forever,” he wrote in a caption alongside a series of their selfies and a video of him putting an iced-out chain on the singer. The pair’s public displays of affection continued on social media that June when Bailey posted a cute TikTok of her giving DDG singing lessons.
