    Best Vibe Dining: Toca Madera

Now in its second year at The Pavilion at The Allen, Houston’s hottest dining destination serves up fiery Mexican flavors with fire dancers, roaming guitarists and a vibe that’s equal parts luxe and sexy. Think dark and moody interiors with natural accents, an inviting lush patio, two bars, a new private speakeasy, and tableside flaming Tomahawks. Go for truffle quesadilla, crispy wonton tacos stuffed with tun and A5 Wagyu, Mayan prawns dripping in chipotle butter, aromatic cocktails hit with hibiscus, agave, serrano and smoke, and a full-sensory experience you’ll be thinking about long after you leave.

  • Throw Paint on Walls at Greenville’s New Color Me Greenville!

    [ad_1]

Where can you splatter paint on a canvas, throw glow-in-the-dark paint against a wall, custom paint your own shoes, or even decorate a cake? At the brand new Color Me Greenville in Greenville, SC! We tried it out and have all the fun details.

Thanks to Color Me Greenville for having us out so we could write this review!

Color Me Greenville is a brand new business located minutes from downtown Greenville, SC and is the city’s only dedicated splatter paint place – regular paint and glow-in-the-dark paint. My daughters (ages 11 and 14) absolutely loved our time there. The owners are so lovely and the entire concept is fun and whimsical and something you will for sure want to do again.

    Glow-in-the-Dark splatter painting

    About Color Me Greenville

When Susan McMakin and her husband tried splatter painting in South Korea years ago, they thought it was awesome and in the back of their mind, considered it may be a cool idea for Greenville. They then tried similar spots in Charlotte and Atlanta and decided to start up a dedicated place where people could come and throw paint on a canvas for fun in Greenville. But since Susan is a baker and cake decorator – she owns Couture Cakes, who I’m sure you’ve heard of – she wanted to also add in cake and cupcake decorating as an option so Color Me Greenville was born.

The shop is run by Susan and her daughter, Eleanor, a senior at the University of South Carolina and a creative entrepreneur. Between the two of them, they’ve managed to put together quite an awesome venue off of N. Pleasantburg Drive in Greenville that is completely worth the trip.

The place is fantastic for a group party, birthday, date night, or just a fun family outing.

    Splatter Painting

If you’ve never done splatter painting or have any idea what I’m talking about or cannot even draw a stick figure, don’t worry, you’ll do just fine at Color Me Greenville. It’s more about the experience than the finished art (even though the canvases of my daughters turned out absolutely amazing) and the experience is certainly worthy of a wow factor.

Splatter painting is just like it sounds: you literally throw paint at the canvas. You can also shoot it out of a water gun. Or you can use a paintbrush if you like. Or you can use a squishy ball and slingshot. Whatever you choose, I promise you’ll have an absolute blast doing it.

    Color Me Greenville splatter painting
    Color Me Greenville splatter painting

We did both the regular splatter painting and the glow-in-the-dark splatter painting, which I’ll get to in a minute. For the regular splatter painting, we wore ponchos and booties for our shoes, gloves, and protective eyewear, which I promptly forgot to put on my eyes and which remained on my head. Whoops.

How it works is that you have a canvas on the wall and a variety of paint toys and paint colors. Susan showed us some options for using the slingshot and water guns, and then we started throwing paint. If you’ve never done this, it feels freeing! There are no rules in splatter painting. You can throw paint right from the cup or bottle or use your hands to paint the canvas or use the water fun. It doesn’t matter. We live in a world of rules, and to have none is a lot of fun.

The splatter painting sessions are about 35 minutes, but you will want to stay longer. At least we did. But I think the time limit is actually good because if not, you’ll just throw so many colors at your canvas because it’s so much fun, and it will be all brown. If you like brown, that’s cool, though.

    Glow-in-the-Dark Splatter Painting

This is where it gets real at Color Me Greenville. The splatter painting is done under black lights, and all the paint lights up! It was so fun to do this and such a unique experience. My daughters figured out they could put paint on their hands and smash them up against each other’s full-body suits. It was hilarious.

Color Me Greenville glow-in-the-dark splatter painting
Color Me Greenville glow-in-the-dark splatter painting

Susan told me these sessions are their best-selling ones, and wow, I can absolutely see why. You can do this nowhere else in Greenville. The studio has darkening shades, which pull down, so they can hold these sessions anytime, day or night. The setup is the same, but I think the paint is different. You can book these sessions along with the classic splatter painting or even cake decorating.

    Sneaker Painting & Cake Decorating

If you’ve ever wanted to paint your own sneakers, this is the spot to go. They have a ton of items to give your shoes a glow-up like charms, glow-in-the-dark laces, and of course, endless paint colors. Sneaker painting sessions start at $45.

Then there’s cake and cupcake decorating, which is really such a fun night out for date night or with friends or your kids. You’ll be decorating a Couture Cake or cupcake just for you. They also offer lots of different classes, many of which are seasonal or themed. Be sure to check the website for updated information and to get a spot.

    Birthday Parties & Group Events

One of the first things I thought of when we started our splatter painting session was how cool it would be to have a birthday party here. It would be so fun for everyone! You can book Color Me Greenville for this very purpose for an hour and can add time in 30-minute increments for a minimum group of six people (even if you want to book it and have less than six people, you will be charged for six people due to having the space all to yourselves).

You can book the splatter paint sessions or cake/cupcake decorating for parties. They allow you to bring in your own food as well.

If you are looking for something specific, just give them a call. They are the nicest people and are open to how to make your time there even better.

Booking Your Session at Color Me Greenville

You can book whatever you want online at the Color Me Greenville website. All the details on pricing and what’s included are right there on the page.

Classic splatter sessions start at $35/person, and glow-in-the-dark splatter sessions start at $50/person. Classes vary in price, so just check the website to see which fits best.

When you pull into the parking lot, Color Me Greenville is next to the radio room. They don’t have a sign up yet, but you can see through the window the name, and there’s a painted Maine Coon cat near the door.

  • Dance the Night Away with Salsa at Sunset

Dance the Night Away with Salsa at Sunset

    [ad_1]

Are you looking to have a fantastic time salsa dancing in Greenville, SC? If you love salsa dancing and wish you could escape to the exotic nightlife of South Florida, you can for just the cost of a babysitter for a few hours right here in Greenville! Whether you are looking for an escape from the kids in the form of a fun date night or a family date night including the kids– we’ve got a free event you have to check out: Salsa at Sunset.

Embrace Salsa Dancing: Greenville, SC Dancers Will Love Salsa at Sunset

The Salsa at Sunset event sponsored by Upstate International & Pura Alegria dance company will get you as close as you’re going to get to Calle Ocho in Miami without traveling for half a day.

This free event is held during the summer months once a month in June, July, and August. An hour-long complimentary salsa dance lesson starts at 6:15 pm and the live music starts at 7 pm plays until 10 pm. In 2021, the event moved from the plaza in front of the Peace Center to Camperdown Plaza and it’s awesome. The space is beautiful and you can grab cookies from Insomnia or ice cream at Jeni’s right there. So fun.

If there were a way to somehow import the smell of ocean air and fill the airspace in front of the Peace Center with it, you’d never know that you were in the foothills of South Carolina and not Miami.

Salsa at Sunset in downtown Greenville, South Carolina

Grab your preferred dance partner and head downtown. I couldn’t believe how many people were there dancing! Every generation was represented on the dance floor, older couples, young couples, parents on a much-needed escape & families with their little ones in tow.

The bar at CAMP is open and the live music will keep you moving. This event is family and stroller-friendly. I strongly suggest bringing an ample supply of ice water for your entire dance troupe, because you’ll need it after several hours of salsa dancing.

How To Turn This Free Event Into The Ultimate Date Night

    Dressing For The Occasion

    For women:
A shoe with a smooth bottom and a heel not more than two inches is preferable (tennis shoes aren’t the best because they stick to the floor but I’ve seen women wear them and do fine). If you think Salsa dancing is something you’ll want to do often, then invest in a pair of salsa shoes. You’ll look like you just got back from Dancing With The Stars, and it will give you an extra boost of confidence on the dance floor. The Exotic Salsa shoe site is a great place to start looking.

Dresses allow you to move freely and are a good choice, just be sure to wear spandex shorts underneath if you plan to really show off your moves on the dance floor. Whatever you wear, make sure it’s lightweight and comfortable because you’ll be moving around a lot in the summer heat.

    For men:
Shoes with smooth bottoms are ideal as well. This isn’t the place to be sporting those Jordans. If you want to dress the part and impress your date choose linen or lightweight pants, paired with a button-up shirt. A Guayabera is what you’ll probably see on the serious salsa dancers in the crowd.

    Practice Makes Perfect

Can’t make it to a practice event? Just tell Alexa to play anything Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Hector Lavoe, and Fania All-Stars, then follow what your hips tell you to do.
    Don’t worry.
    Hips don’t Lie.

Back Together?? Cardi B & Offset Have Romantic Valentine’s Date Night In Miami! – Perez Hilton

    [ad_1]

Are Cardi B and Offset officially back on?!

As we’ve been following, the estranged couple have been on several ups and downs in the past few months, but could this mean they’ve worked out their differences for good? Or, at least, for this time? The pair have had their share of on again, off again moments over the years, and most recently they were OFF! Yet on Wednesday night photogs captured them having a dinner date at the Italian restaurant Carbone in Miami — and they certainly don’t look too broken up anymore!

The Migos rapper can be seen in pics entering the restaurant a little while after the Bodak Yellow artist, taking some time to greet fans and sign some autographs. Perhaps to try and throw off paps and the people awaiting outside from their little rendezvous?? Either way, after dinner they left and got back into their car together.

Related: Jessica Simpson Fans Think She Split From Eric Johnson!

    Ch-ch-check out a snap (below):

This, of course, has left everyone wondering just where they stand. We mean, Cardi did admit they were still sleeping together as of New Year’s — but still denied they were officially back on. But a romantic dinner on Valentine’s Day is definitely looking like they’re at least headed back toward being together again — if they’re not there already.

  • 31 Pretty Date-Night Tops You Can Actually Wear in the Winter

31 Pretty Date-Night Tops You Can Actually Wear in the Winter

    [ad_1]

Dressing for date night can be quite the conundrum under normal circumstances, but that increases tenfold in the winter. You want to feel polished and elegant while still remaining comfortable (but also effortless)—it’s a tall order. When you factor in frigid temperatures, the outfit puzzle suddenly feels impossible.

Enter the pretty top. It’s a classic for a reason, as it pairs well with everything from maxi skirts to tailored trousers. But not just any top will work when you consider the low temperatures and layers of outerwear. I have a system for gauging if a top will work well for those winter nights out: Either it has sleeves, or it has a material or neckline that looks nice under a jacket. As long as it meets one of those criteria, I can rest assured I’ll be comfortable for wherever the evening takes me. Since we’re still in peak winter and approaching Valentine’s Day, I’m highlighting 31 cute winter tops perfect for date night.

  • Jennifer Lawrence's '90s Date-Night Fit Reminded Me That This Jean Style Is *It*

Jennifer Lawrence's '90s Date-Night Fit Reminded Me That This Jean Style Is *It*

    [ad_1]

Another day, another date-night outfit reveal at Sushi Park for the celebrity set. This time around, the culprit was Jennifer Lawrence, who hit up Sunset Boulevard’s famous strip-mall omakase restaurant over the weekend alongside her husband Cooke Maroney looking effortless and cool as always.

For the occasion, the No Hard Feelings actress took inspiration from an era long before her dinner destination opened in 2006, when the street-style stars were Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Gwyneth Paltrow, Carla Bruni, and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. Wearing Bottega Veneta by Matthieu Blazy from head to toe, Lawrence’s midriff-baring sweater, belted dark jeans, and leather blazer were ’90s to a T. She also added a white tee for layering purposes, a thick brown belt, and one of the Italian fashion brand’s Tosca Intrecciato-leather shoulder bags. When I saw photos of the final fit, I knew immediately that this would be one of those JLaw looks that made it to best-dressed roundups for years to come. It’s just that good.

But what really stood out to me about the look was the same thing that always does when I scroll through ’90s street-style shots: the jeans. Back then, everyone had great jeans, usually perfectly distressed Levi’s. They fit just right and kept every outfit looking casual and uncomplicated, which is exactly what Lawrence’s jeans did for her ensemble. And the only trait hers share with those aforementioned muses is the fact that they’re cut in a classic, straight silhouette. Scroll down to see Lawrence’s date-night look and shop the timeless denim style that always comes out on top.

Valentine’s Day isn’t necessarily an excuse to shop, but it also kind of is, especially for pregnant women. Expecting moms might find that their go-to date night dress no longer fits, providing the perfect opportunity to shop cute maternity dresses for Valentine’s Day. A black dress is classic, timeless, flattering, and versatile. There are dozens of ways you could wear this piece, which includes a hint of white piping for added interest. Old Navy Maternity Long Sleeve Bodycon Maxi Dress

    Courtesy of Old Navy

    Size Range: XS – XXL
    Colors Available: 2

Part of us would love to wear a slinky, sexy maternity dress for Valentine’s Day, but at the same time, we’ve got to be practical. The holiday falls in February, which might mean snow, and in that case, we’ll be grateful for this knit maxi from Old Navy, which includes long sleeves and hits at the ankle for extra warmth.

If you still want to look nice while also feeling cozy enough for cuddling on the couch, try a ribbed sweater dress from Nom. The taupe colorway is very quiet luxury, and if you end up slipping on leggings underneath? So be it.

Hill House Home The Ellie Nap Dress

Emilia George Sophie Long-Sleeve Maternity Midi-Dress

    Courtesy of Saks Fifth Avenue

Just because it’s Valentine’s Day doesn’t mean you have to wear pink. If blue is more your vibe, this puff-sleeve dress from Emilia George is super sweet and ties into a bow in the back — another detail you’re bound to spot everywhere this year. Wear it on the 14th and then again for pregnancy photos or even your baby shower.

Mamalicious Maternity Ribbed Jersey Midi Dress in Stripe

    Courtesy of ASOS

    Size Range: XS – 2XL
    Colors Available: 1

If you’re into fashion, you know that half the draw is having fun with your clothes. This striped midi dress gives us ’70s vibes, which makes us want to rock it suede boots and big sunglasses. Then again, we love the thought of toughening it up with chunky combat boots, too (we’re partial to these Prada lookalikes). The options are endless and Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to play around.

Quince Washable Stretch Silk Maternity Slip Dress

    Courtesy of Quince

    Size Range: XS – XL

  • Every Going-Out Trend You'll See on the It Girls in 2024

Every Going-Out Trend You'll See on the It Girls in 2024

    [ad_1]

    Photo:

    Launchmetrics Spotlight

Unless you’ve been off the grid, chances are you’re no stranger to the rise of the no-pants fashion trend, which first arose in 2022. At the time, it might have seemed like it would be a fleeting trend, but the in crowd quickly took to cementing it as a signature part of the going-out arsenal. It girls like Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber, and Bella Hadid have worn their “panties out” on the regular. With every season since this trend’s debut, we’ve seen it subtly evolve. Spring/summer 2024 collections were not immune to this pattern. Unlike previous versions of this trend, which focused solely on the shock factor of exposed panties, we saw designers take a more modest approach to the look by experimenting with tailoring, layering, and textiles. For the latter, hot pants came in materials that didn’t necessarily feel lingerie adjacent. For example, Miu Miu’s F/W 23 collection had briefs made from wool. In contrast, ACNE Studios’ S/S 23 collection featured leather-made ones.

If textiles weren’t how designers aimed to make the exposed-panties trend more polished, they did so through layering. From Nensi Dojaka to LaQuan Smith to Alaïa, we could see exposed bodysuits, thongs, and briefs peaking out underneath sheer skirts, gowns, and catsuits, adding just the right amount of coverage. However, the greatest way in which designers managed to make this risqué trend more wearable was by using tailoring to create the illusion of exposed underpinnings without actually having them all out there. Just reference Henne’s collection, in which a low-slung draped skirt perfectly emphasizes the V-cut of a bodysuit, or the overlay thong detail in the jaw-dropping gold runway look from Diesel’s S/S 24 collection. They’re proof that pulling off the whole “panties out” look is very possible and worth celebrating.

Baby, It’s Cold Outside! 24 Date-Night Outfits You Can Actually Wear in Winter

    [ad_1]

It’s time, to be honest… the whole idea that this is the most “wonderful time of the year” is a bit overhyped. Don’t get us wrong, some things are wonderful about the holiday season, but once you get past all of the festivities, you realize that it’s a bit dark (literally and figuratively). After all, the weather outside? It’s frightful. Our collective holiday cheer? It’s likely left the building. The desire to get all dressed up? It’s likely to dissipate after the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Eve. Basically, the wintertime can be challenging, even for those who love this time of year.

It’s only natural then that we’d have to find ways to cultivate tiny pockets of joy—enter date night into the chat. As silly as it might seem, having something to look forward to in these colder months is a saving grace, even if said thing is as simple as a night out. With colder temperatures, it’s so easy to fall into a rut where you only binge-watch shows on Netflix (no shade), but we implore you to plan a date night! There’s no better way to beat your winter blues back than by slipping into a stylish outfit to spend the evening with your special someone.

But if you find the prospect of choosing what to wear for a date in the winter debilitating, don’t fret. Ahead, we’re sharing 24 winter date night outfit ideas from fashion people that will make putting together an elegant look effortlessly. Whether you’re dipping your toes back into the dating pool or need an excuse to get your partner off the couch, these looks will motivate you to get back out there despite the cold temperatures.

  • I’ve Had It With Frumpy Sweaters—36 Off-The-Shoulder Knits I’m Buying Instead

I’ve Had It With Frumpy Sweaters—36 Off-The-Shoulder Knits I’m Buying Instead

    [ad_1]

Confession time… I have a contentious relationship with sweaters. Yes, I’m aware that knitwear is an unspoken requirement for building a winter wardrobe. And there are some knitwear styles that I can’t imagine living without—e.g., striped jumpers, turtlenecks, and cashmere knits. But to say that all sweaters are created equal would be a flat-out lie. If we’re all honest, some can be, well, downright frumpy. When living in an ultra-cold climate (albeit New York City, Paris, or Copenhagen), the last thing you want is for your clothing to make you feel any worse than the weather. Sadly, oversized sweaters do just that. So what’s a girl to do? Start by ditching the dowdy sweater silhouttes.

Don’t get it twisted; there’s a time and place for oversized knits. But if you’re reading this story, chances are you’ve fretted over how non-flattering your knitwear looks for hours. Luckily, there’s a solution: off-the-shoulder sweaters. As simple as it might sound, choosing this stylish silhouette over other more “practical” styles can make a world of difference. Need proof? Ahead, you’ll find a few examples of how fashion people wear this knitwear—spoiler: they come in every form from bodysuits to dresses. Plus, I’ve compiled the 36 best off-the-shoulder sweaters based on quality, versatility, relevance, and various price points. If ever you needed the inspiration to finally say “girl, bye” to your unflattering sweater, consider this is your green flag.

Hailey Bieber Just Made Overalls and Heels the Next Going-Out Outfit Trend

    [ad_1]

When it comes to her night-out style, Hailey Bieber really knows how to mix things up. One night, she’ll be wearing a leather miniskirt and bra top and the next, well, overalls. But I’m not talking about any old outdated overalls outfit—I’m talking about a fashion overalls outfit.

I think we can all agree that overalls tend to get a bad rap. They can just be tricky to style and can look a bit costumey, but as Bieber just proved, they can also actually be chic. How, you ask? Let’s break it down. By pairing sophisticated pieces like a long black coat, pointed-toe heels, and a structured bag, Bieber turned the most polarizing denim item into a cool and sophisticated date night outfit.

I would absolutely wear this outfit but I don’t own overalls, so I found a few chic pairs for all of us that are in the same boat to shop.

  • Kansas City Date Spots Taylor & Travis Should Know All Too Well

Kansas City Date Spots Taylor & Travis Should Know All Too Well

    [ad_1]

I’m just gonna say it: I’m team #Traylor. Taylor Swift has come to Kansas City to watch Travis Kelce do whatever footballers do, not one, not two, but three times. They say third time’s the charm, right? But if football stadiums aren’t your thing, what are some Kansas City date spots you might see Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce at? Spotted hand-in-hand and kissing after the Chiefs game, I think it’s safe to say Taylor’s not bidding adieu to Kansas City quite yet.

As a Kansas City native, nothing makes me happier than knowing Taylor has a legitimate reason to frequent my city more. Homegirl is putting Kansas City on the map! Maybe now New Yorkers will stop sticking their nose up, saying things like, Kansas City? Where is that, somewhere in the middle? Newsflash to them: life outside of the coasts does exist. I digress.

So, if #Traylor’s going steady, where might fans spot them next, and more importantly, where should they actually go? Allow moi to be your tour guide for Kansas City’s best date night spots and date night ideas, a.k.a. where I think Taylor and Travis might eat, sip, and play.

Where to Eat in Kansas City

    Andy’s Frozen Custard

Who doesn’t love a sweet treat? Travis might give Taylor a taste test of the one he created for Andy’s Frozen Custard back in 2018, the 87 Concrete. (Taylor should know the number 87 all too well, given she now has a friendship bracelet with it.) It’s a blend of Oreos, cookie dough, melted chocolate chips, and crème caramel. Plus, 87 cents of every concrete sold was previously donated to 87 & Running, Travis’ mentorship foundation for underserved youth.

    Q39

    IMAGE: Q39

Thanks to his personal chef, we know Travis is a simple Midwest dude who loves steak, chops, and chicken—but most importantly, filets. Perhaps he fancies Q39? Their private dining experience is far from reach of the paps. #Traylor can drool over their award-winning smoked meats and wood-fired grilled plates in peace.

    Chef J

    IMAGE: CHEF J

For a taste of some KC BBQ, Travis should introduce Taylor to Chef J’s BBQ. Not only is it ranked as the top spot for best barbeque in Kansas City by Kansas City Magazine, but it’s so good they’re serving ‘que at Chiefs games now! Catch ‘em at the kiosk in section 107 on the home sideline.

    Chick-in-waffle

    IMAGE: CHICK-IN-WAFFLE

We all know Taylor Swift has heart eyes for chicken tenders—and if Travis did his research, he’d know she told Vogue in her game of “73 Questions” they’re her fave too. Chick-in-waffle has the best chicken tenders in Kansas City with eight signature sauces to choose from. Don’t trust my word for it? Check out all the reviews on Yelp.

    Vivalore

Known for its enchanting courtyard and delicate decor, Taylor might have her eyes set on booking a reservation at the elegant Vivalore. This whimsical, one-of-a-kind dining experience is bejeweled with a fine art gallery and charming antiques, so it looks like a scene ripped from one of Taylor’s music videos.

Where to Drink in Kansas City

    Power & Light District

Sporty Taylor isn’t new. Remember when she played tennis in “The Man” music video? You might spot the couple getting out of an Escalade (or, in my wildest dreams, the Kansas City streetcar) to catch a game at a local sports bar like No Other Pub by Sporting KC in KC’s Power & Light District.

    Clinton’s Soda Fountain

Taylor might not have been cheer captain, but her current relationship is giving homecoming-queen-meets-jock-and-hangs-at-the-town-soda-shop-after-school. For that reason, I could totally see them drinking a Polly’s Pop at Clinton’s Soda Fountain on the Independence Square for some old-school lovin’ vibes.

    Prime Social

Who doesn’t love a rooftop moment? Prime Social is a rooftop cocktail lounge on Kansas City’s historic Country Club Plaza with gorgeous panoramic views KC. Taylor and Travis could be found cozied up by a fire pit, planning their next KC outing over a glass of wine.

Sugar Kittens Cat Cafe & Cattery

    IMAGE: SUGAR KITTENS CAT CAFE

I wouldn’t put it past Taylor to fly Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button out to Kansas City, but I understand if they’re not the best travelers. If Taylor needs a feline fix, only two cat cafes in the Kansas City metropolitan area can save her. Sugar Kittens Cat Cafe & Cattery is located in a nearby KC suburb, which might have fewer eyes from the public, but a second option is Whiskers Cat Cafe & Coffeehouse in downtown KC. Who knows, maybe she’ll adopt a fourth fur baby?

Where to Play in Kansas City

    IMAGE: BAR K

    Bar K

As a proud dog dad to his goldendoogle Rambo and pomeranian-husky mix Chauncey, Travis knows Bar K quite well. This picture is the cutest! I’m calling it now: on a weekend when Taylor’s in town, Travis rents the whole place out, invites all his friends and their pets out, and surprises Taylor with a furry, fun hangout. Nothing’s impossible, so stroll down Berkley Parkway every once in a while.

    Kansas City Union Station

    IMAGE: KAILI JIMEI

Host of the 2023 NFL draft and end spot for Super Bowl parades, Union Station should sound familiar to NFL fans. Travis might want to show Taylor his old stomping ground. Locals love showing out-of-towners the beautiful train station’s indoor planetarium and city theater. Private showing of The Eras Tour film for two?

    The Majestic

Jazz, anyone? The Majestic is a local steakhouse by day and jazz club by night, built inside the historic Fitzpatrick Saloon building. I don’t think Taylor and Travis would mind swapping Chiefs Stadium roars for the best local and national jazz talent.

    Bierman’s Christmas Tree Farm

Alexa, play “Christmas Tree Farm” by Taylor Swift. I’m not sure how long #Traylor will last, but if they stick to the cuffing season calendar, they’re on track to make it through the holidays. Bierman’s Christmas Tree Farm is the cutest place for lovers to chop down a tree together to take home.

  • Jennifer Lawrence’s Casual Ballet Flats Date-Night Outfit Is Effortlessly Pretty

Jennifer Lawrence’s Casual Ballet Flats Date-Night Outfit Is Effortlessly Pretty

    [ad_1]

I don’t know if you’ve been following the outfits of Jennifer Lawrence as closely as I have, so I’m here to tell you that she’s really nailed the whole casual-chic NYC girl look. Her style has always been pretty classic (which I guess you’d refer to as “quiet luxury” now), but she rarely misses an opportunity to work in a low-key trend or It bag. And while out for a date night last week, she worked in several trends that combined to create a very pretty look.

If you’ve been looking for fresh ballet flat outfit inspiration, look no further than Lawrence, who paired them with high-waisted straight-leg jeans for the night out. She completed the look with an oversized red sweater (trend!), belt (trend!), and a diamond tennis necklace (trend!). Let this serve as proof that if you buy just one red item this season, make it a sweater (and be sure to pair it with ballet flats).

  • Kaia Gerber and Austin Butler’s Day-Date Sneaker Pairing Is So 2023

Kaia Gerber and Austin Butler’s Day-Date Sneaker Pairing Is So 2023

    [ad_1]

To make it as a couple, especially in Hollywood, where relationships appear even harder to make work than anywhere else, you really need to be on the same page. There are too many barriers in place for couples to be disjointed, even when it comes to the tiniest detail. Kaia Gerber and Austin Butler, who are rumored to have gotten together in December 2021, get that, which is why, on their recent daytime date in Los Angeles, the two were spotted wearing matching baseball hats and donning two of the most 2023 coded sneakers. Clearly, they’re on the same page.

While out and about celebrating the Elvis actor’s 32nd birthday, Gerber chose a cutoff white tank top, paint-stained blue trousers, and Onitsuka Tiger‘s viral Mexico 66 sneakers in white, blue, and red. Accessories wise, she added a faded blue hat, oversize sunglasses, and a simple canvas tote bag. Equally casual was Butler, who wore a black T-shirt, matching paint-stained pants, and a pair of Vans’ Authentic lace-ups, another eternally buzzy sneaker style, with his own blue cap.

  • The Next Frontier For Fashion Isn’t The Runway, It’s The Resy Reservation

The Next Frontier For Fashion Isn’t The Runway, It’s The Resy Reservation

    [ad_1]

While standing in line to get a bagel at 8:15 A.M., bright and early in the heart of one of the trendiest transplant neighborhoods in New York City, I realized I was severely underdressed. In line behind me was a girl ten times cooler than I am, wearing crochet leg-warmers, a metallic designer headband and a pair of pink satin Tabi ballet flats. The usual outfit I wore to scurry downstairs to get breakfast — a collegiate t-shirt and faded grey sweatpants with a weird stain on the butt-pocket that wouldn’t come out no matter how hard I tried— wouldn’t cut it anymore.

Decried on the internet, long gone are the days of fast-casual dining. Since the turn of the pandemic, restaurants, and, in turn, what you wear to them, have arisen as a newfound status symbol for anyone who’s online. It’s not uncommon to find models-off-duty in head-to-toe Diesel munching on calamari at Fanelli Cafe in SoHo or TikTok micro-celebrities in matching clean-core-aesthetic-cool-girl-soft-life uniforms of choice romping around the West Village in search for their new summer watering hole. The common thread? An emphasis on an unspoken ‘if you know you know’ uniform

All across Los Angeles, New York, Paris, and countless other fashion-adjacent cities, trendy restaurants have transcended their reputation as simply another place to grab overpriced dinner and drinks in dim-lighting. They’re a place to be seen. After an essay by Elle.com editor at large Faran Krentcil went viral amongst the small-but-mighty New York fashion scene, it just propelled the phenomenon to even greater heights.

While, sure, you can make the argument it’s always been like this (who can forget the early-aughts days of celebrities being paid to host their birthdays at Tao or Sugar Factory?), the normal, non-Kardashian crowd wasn’t able to slip past the server’s stand into the arms of fashion elite quite as easily as it were today. With the touch of a button and an alarm set for 12 P.M. on a random Monday afternoon, you too could be whisked away into stardom by simply lounging around a restaurant in an outfit that costs nearly twice-as-much as the total bill.

  • Blake Lively Wore the Dress Trend That French Girls Love For a Day Date In Paris

Blake Lively Wore the Dress Trend That French Girls Love For a Day Date In Paris

    [ad_1]

When in Paris, dress like the locals do. And for Blake Lively, that only means one thing, throwing on an always easy and elegant floral dress. While in the City of Lights this week, the Gossip Girl actress was spotted holding hands and headed out for a gourmet lunch at its famed La Poule au Jar restaurant with Ryan Reynolds, choosing a very French white floral dress and matching sneakers for the occasion.

Specifically, Lively wore a button-up, long-sleeve frock from BA&SH, a distinctly Parisian label started by two French fashion lovers, Barbara Boccara and Sharon Krief. With the dress, she added a navy-blue, pinstripe duster; a magenta-colored Chanel crossbody bag; and tan, gingham-printed Nike Air Force 1s. Though BA&SH has since sold out of her exact dress, give how popular floral dresses are this time of year among French girls and more, there’s no shortage of other options to opt for if you’re looking to recreate Lively’s Parisian-date outfit. See some of my favorites below.

  • Dua Lipa Wore the No-Stress Summer Outfit That’ll Transition Perfectly Into Fall

Dua Lipa Wore the No-Stress Summer Outfit That’ll Transition Perfectly Into Fall

    [ad_1]

Though I’m all for Dua Lipa’s extravagant ensembles—ranging from barely-there bikinis to crystal-mesh Versace dresses—sometimes even the most out-there dressers fall back on classic uniforms. And just like all of her showy outfits, the “Levitating” singer’s low-key ones are impressive to say the least. Case in point: Lipa’s look for a night out at London’s Chiltern Firehouse, a celebrity hot spot in Marylebone.

For a date with her boyfriend, French director Romain Gavras, Lipa tucked a crisp white button-down shirt into what appear to be classic Levi’s jeans, dressing up the combo with Maison Margiela Mary Jane flats, a Gucci Jackie bag, and statement Missoni earrings. Though not exactly new or shocking, the easy pairing is just the kind of outfit we need to store away in our minds right now with summer beginning to turn into fall, stirring up the need for transitional styling ideas that will always look chic. Below, see just how effortless it is to get Lipa’s look, which can be worn right now through the fall and even winter with just a few simple tweaks.
