    Yellowjackets

In a new press release (via TV Line), Yellowjackets creators Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson revealed the series will conclude with its fourth season.

After three incredible seasons, and great consideration, we’re excited to announce that we will be bringing the story of Yellowjackets to its twisted conclusion in this fourth and final season. We’ve always known there would come a point when the story would tell us it wants to end, and it’s our belief that our job — our responsibility — is to listen. Telling this emotional, wild, and deeply human story has been a profoundly meaningful experience and a true honor for us, and we’re so very grateful to the brilliant cast, crew and writers who have bravely gone on the journey with us to bring it to life. Most of all, we want to thank the fans who have stuck with us through every moment, mystery and meal — the Hive is nothing without you! We can’t wait to share the final chapter with you and hope you find it…delicious.

    Magic 8 Ball

Deadline also has word M. Night Shyamalan will direct a TV series for Mattel based on its “Magic 8 Ball” fortune-telling toy. Co-created with Bad Falcuk, the series aims to “reimagine the classic Magic 8 Ball as the centerpiece of a high-concept, character-driven supernatural drama that blends psychological intensity with cultural intrigue.”

    Daredevil: Born Again

During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Daredevil: Born Again producer Brad Winderbaum confirmed Elden Henson does appear as Foggy Nelson in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again.

I actually haven’t seen the quote, but I can tell you he is in season 2. People don’t know what they’re allowed to say and what they’re not allowed to say, also. Do I play it coy? Do I be honest? It’s always a dance.

In the same interview, Winderbaum also revealed Matthew Lillard plays a character named Mr. Charles.

He plays a character named Mr. Charles. The story is about power. When Wilson Fisk takes over New York, not just as a mayor but as a king in a way, it puts him in a new class of power players on the international stage. Matthew Lillard’s character represents that. So he’s a bit of a new antagonist on the field, but he’s as influential in many ways as Fisk is. That power negotiation at a very high level of politics and international diplomacy is also fun to watch. He is dealing with Mr. Charles up here and Daredevil down here for different reasons. So he’s getting squeezed a little bit.

    The Walking Dead: Dead City

According to Deadline, Raúl Castillo has joined the cast of The Walking Dead: Dead City as a character named Luis.

    Prism

Deadline reports Millie Bobby Brown will star in Prism at Netflix, a new supernatural series produced by Rachel Brosnahan, Etan Frankel, Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, and Brown herself. Based on a short story by Nick Shafir, the series sees Brown as Cassie, “a woman with the unique ability to communicate with apparitions, who must uncover the cause of a newly discovered phenomenon that causes ‘visitors’ (ghosts) to appear all over the world before it’s too late.”

    Stranger Things

According to Ross Duffer on Instagram, the fifth season premiere of Stranger Things is titled “The Crawl” and runs 68 minutes long. Episode 2 is titled The Vanishing and runs 54 minutes, while Episode 3, “The Turnbow Trap”, is 66 minutes. Episode 4, “Sorcerer”, runs 83 minutes.

    The Copenhagen Test

Finally, Simu Liu learns “his brain has been hacked”  by a “shadowy agency” in the trailer for The Copenhagen Test.

  • When Will Daredevil: Born Again Come Again?

Season 1 did a Heat, will season 2 do an Irishman?
    Photo: Disney+/YouTube

Daredevil: Born Again was always set up to end in a cliffhanger. Good news, Disney decided to be kind and not leave you (and the residents of New York City) hanging. We already have confirmation from showrunner Dario Scardapene that we’re getting more Matt Murdock. Here’s everything we know about Daredevil: Born Again season 2.

The official trailer for season two isn’t public yet, but we can hear about it — basically, the Matt Murdock experience. Krysten Ritter surprised the crowd and confirmed her return as Jessica Jones. But she wasn’t the only surprise in the trailer. Elden Henson is back (?) as Foggy Nelson (??) even though he died in the season 1 premiere (???). We need an explanation. While we wait, we can watch Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin enter his boxing era as he’s seen fighting someone in a boxing ring.

Daredevil: Born Again season 1 ends with Kingpin and Mrs. Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio and Ayelet Zurer) ruling over New York City under flimsy fascist pretexts. Timely! But Karen (Deborah Ann Woll) is back. AS is Frank Castle, a.k.a. the Punisher, a.k.a. Medium Pun, r.i.p. Big Pun (Jon Bernthal). Together they’ll fight the police state and Daredevil (Charlie Cox) will take back the city.

According to Disney+’s official MCU timeline, Daredevil: Born Again is a part of the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe, and is the most recent piece of MCU material released. Does that mean New York will still be under martial law during Thunderbolts*? Unclear. We do know that a Punisher special coming to Disney+ soon, co-written by Bernthal and Reinaldo Marcus Green.

On Instagram, Scardapene let it be known that Daredevil: Born Again would come to Disney+ in March 2026. Just in time for Lent.

  • ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Will Link to ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’

If you’re looking forward to Spider-Man: Brand New Dayit might behoove you to first check out what’s going on Daredevil: Born Again’s second season.

Marvel TV head Brad Winderbaum teased to Entertainment Weekly there’s “a lot of communication” between the two teams to tie the show and film together. Without spoiling anything, he said Born Again “very much exists in the same world [as Brand New Day], and it is important. “We’re in a shared universe together. The Daredevil and Punisher comic books depict acertain tone and idea of New York in a different way than Spider-Man’s. But they both exist in the same universe: everything lines up and the impacts are felt, but we’re able to tell different stories.”

Even before the Punisher was confirmed for Brand New Day, fans have long wondered whether Matt Murdock and Peter Parker could ever share the screen again or explicitly reference one another, particularly since Spider-Man is supposed to feature Peter as a street-level hero. That puts him in the crosshairs of Mayor Fisk’s anti-vigilante rules, but maybe don’t expect to see Tom Holland as part of Matt’s resistance on the small screen.

Winderbaum was separately asked about the chances of Iron Fist and Luke Cage appearing in Born Again season two, where he called the season “a little deeper” than its potential guest stars. What he said about Danny and Luke could also apply to Spider-Man: “There are rewards to be had for fans, but it’s really about the stakes of this world that this Kingpin is building in New York City.” How Fisk and Matt’s war affects Peter and his approach to heroing will be seen on July 31, 2026 when Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits the big screen.

Meanwhile, Daredevil: Born Again returns with season two in 2026.

  • ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Almost Had an Echo/Punisher Teamup

The first season of Daredevil: Born Again was partially built off the bones of an old version. One idea which didn’t survive the changeover? Apparently, a one-off episode focused on the Punisher (Jon Bernthal) and Echo (Alaqua Cox).

In a recent interview with IGN, writer Jesse Wigutow—who wrote two of season one’s nine episodes—mentioned a “bottle episode” that was planned featuring Frank and Maya that he’d have written. When this was being concepted “two, three years ago,” the two antiheroes would’ve “shared an interesting night together. Not romantically, but narratively, said Wigutow. He conceded that it could resurface in Born Again’s future, but called its original development “crooked” and said might need a slight rework.

While Echo’s a more recent MCU addition and only had one run-in with Daredevil, her and Punisher hanging out could be fun. The closest thing Born Again had to a one-off was its bank heist halfway through the season, which seemed to be generally liked that season. If the show’s got the space for bottle episodes that can highlight its supporting street heroes who don’t have the time or space for a full spinoff of their own, this is a good way to work within the system.

As for Punisher, he’s got a solo special that’ll have him doing what he does best. That’s due sometime in 2026, presumably before Daredevil: Born Again returns for season two. And sometime after that, we’ll get more of Matt and whoever else in season three.

  • Daredevil: Born Again Gets Some Good News Follow MCU Show’s Season 3 Renewal

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 isn’t out yet, but the folks at Marvel Studios are already getting ready to work on its third season.

What’s the major Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 update?

Speaking to IGN, Daredevil: Born Again writer Jesse Wigutow revealed that Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 will begin gathering its writer’s room “next week,” to begin working on the planned third season for the show.

Of course, very little is known about the third season of Born Again. The second season of the show still has yet to premiere. That will arrive next year in March, and little is known about the upcoming season of that as well.

The new season will reportedly pick up where the first one ended, and is also rumored to include the return of Mike Colter’s Luke Cage and Finn Jones’ Danny Rand (also known as Iron Fist) in a potential reunion of The Defenders.

In addition to Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, and the previously confirmed Krysten Ritter, the cast of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 includes Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter/Bullseye, Nikki M. James as Kirsten McDuffie, Genneya Walton as BB Urich, Clark Johnson as Cherry, Michael Gandolfini as Daniel Blake, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, Matthew Lillard, and more.

  • 21 Cool Things We Spotted in Marvel’s Big TV Preview

21 Cool Things We Spotted in Marvel’s Big TV Preview

The future of Marvel Television is looking bright, as evidenced by the awesome new sizzle reel released on Wednesday. In the two-minute clip, Marvel debuted new footage from seven upcoming shows, several of which no one had seen any footage from yet.

There’s What If…? season three coming December 22—then in 2025, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man coming January 25, Daredevil: Born Again coming March 4, Ironheart on June 24, Eyes of Wakanda on August 6, Marvel Zombies in October, and Wonder Man rounding out the year in December.

And even though it’s a short preview, Marvel was sure to pack a lot in it. Here are the 21 cool things we spotted in the footage.

Matt and Wilson have a chat – Marvel

    Daredevil: Born Again

A new suit (:26)– Each time the Man Without Fear appears in Marvel, he’s seemingly got a new suit, and this time is no exception.

Mayor Fisk (:13, 1:34, 1:36)– As expected and teased, most notably in Echo, Wilson Fisk (aka the Kingpin) is now mayor of New York City.

Punisher is back (:15, 1:37) – While the first section of the trailer has a brief shot of Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, later we see him in his Punisher outfit.

Muse (:09) – The footage features our first look at the villain Muse.

Yusuf Khan (:30)– Arguably the biggest Easter egg in the whole trailer is the appearance of Mr. Khan, aka Kamala’s dad from Ms. Marvel and The Marvels. He’s the guy asking Matt about being a lawyer. Could his daughter play a role here?

    Spider Man Animated Homemade
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man – Marvel

    Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man

The footage here is super quick so really the biggest takeaway is this unique spin (pun intended) on a Spider-Man staple—the homemade suit. (:36)

    Ironheart The Hood
Anthony Ramos as the Hood in Ironheart – Marvel

    Ironheart

Han Solo team up (:08)– Sorry, Alden Ehrenreich, you’re always young Han Solo to us. And in a very quick shot early in the trailer, we see that Riri Williams brings him one of her armors.

The Hood (:10, :45)– The trailer has a few quick looks at the Hood, the villain of the show played by Anthony Ramos.

New armors (:43, :47)– it looks like Riri will have a few armors in Ironheart and the white one is reminiscent of one of Tony Stark’s variants in Iron Man 3.

    Coulson Fury What If
Agents Coulson and Fury in What If…? – Marvel

    What If…? Season 3

Agent Coulson returns (:57) – Nick Fury leads a team, maybe traveling on the Bifrost, that includes everyone’s favorite agent, Coulson.

The Avenger Voltron (:59) – A shot of a Captain America-themed mech is from an episode where several Avengers pilot similar robots that all combine into one.

Cowboy Shang-Chi (:57) – An obvious one, but it’s good to finally see this hero back as we patiently wait for his live-action return.

    Marvel Zombies Blade
A very mysterious and intriguing character from Marvel Zombies – Marvel

    Marvel Zombies

Is that Blade? (1:02) – A man slices and dices up zombies that looks a little like Mahershala Ali in a Moon Knight costume. Is it Moon Knight? Is it Blade? Is it someone else?

Varied zombies (1:01)– A quick shot shows not only a zombie member of the Dora Milaje but also potentially Cull Obsidian?

Zombie Thanos (1:34) – An undead Thanos? What’s scarier than that?

    Eyes Of Wakanda Tease
A brief shot from Eyes of Wakanda – Marvel

    Eyes of Wakanda

There isn’t a ton we can glean from the two quick shots outside of its very unique and beautiful animation style that’ll feature many new characters from Wakanda. (1:25)

    Wonder Man Red Suit
An homage from Wonder Man – Marvel

    Wonder Man

Meet Simon (1:07) – Here’s our first look at Simon (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) who is not just auditioning for Wonder Man, he’ll become Wonder Man.

Trevor’s back (1:19) – Ben Kingsley is back in the MCU, once again reprising his role as failed actor Trevor Slattery from Iron Man 3 and Shang-Chi. Glad to see he’s still in show business.

Costume homage (:08) – An early shot in the trailers shows Simon in a red suit, which feels like a reference to one of Simon’s alternative uniforms from the comics—his classic “safari jacket” casual look introduced in the late ’70s.

    But also –

    Marvel Disney Tease
Who is that on the bottom middle? – Marvel

There are two things in trailer that have us totally stumped. There’s an image of someone in front of what looks like a crime investigation (:10) that we’re unsure of. Is this from Ironheart? Wonder Man? And then there’s the image above from inside the TVA (:05). We can place almost all of the images in this scene except the one in the bottom middle. It looks like Josh Gad in black and white. Any ideas?

Eiichiro Oda has a big update about Netflix One Piece‘s second season. Mike Colter has hopes Evil could find a new home after its impending finale. Plus, Russell T. Davies teases Doctor Who‘s Sea Devil spinoff. To me, my spoilers!

    SOULM8TE

Deadline reports Claudia Doumit (The Boys) has joined the cast of the M3GAN spinoff, SOULM8TE, in a currently undisclosed role.

    Ruiner

According to Variety, a film adaptation of Reikon’s cyberpunk twin-stick shooter, Ruiner, is now in development at Universal. Wes Ball (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes) is attached to direct.

    Freakier Friday

A new Instagram post from Lindsay Lohan confirms filming is about to wrap on Freakier Friday.

    Frankie Freako

“After calling a late-night party hotline that promises out-of-this-world fun, uptight yuppie Conor Sweeney must battle the pint-sized forces of evil unleashed through his phone line, led by the maniacal rock n’ roll goblin” of the title in the full trailer for Frankie Freako.

    Daredevil: Born Again

During a recent interview with Screen Rant, Charlie Cox teased the arrival of White Tiger, as well as “a couple of other nice little cameos” in the first season of Daredevil: Born Again.

I remember getting those scripts, and the character that I’m thinking about in particular right now, I remember when I read that [story] before I started doing Daredevil in 2014. I always thought that was a really cool storyline and such an interesting character; such an interesting dynamic between the two of them. That was really fun, and I’m really excited about that. And there are a couple of other nice little cameos that come up.

    X-Men ’97

During a recent Q&A (via Collider), X-Men ’97 producer Brad Winderbaum confirmed the second season will include “two other X teams.”

There’s many teams, in Marvel, that have the letter “X” that are followed by a hyphen. I would put it to you like this…there’s two other X teams in Season 2.

    One Piece

One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda provided an update on the second season of Netflix’s live-action adaptation.

    Evil

In conversation with Decider, Mike Colter stated tomorrow’s Evil finale could begin “a new chapter” with “potential to continue” if any prospective streamer or network is interested doing so.

No, we won’t wrap everything up. There will always be more thread to leave unraveled, so there’s some place to go. What I can say about the end…I wouldn’t say a cliffhanger. There will be a new chapter that will be open. All we can say about it is, “I want to see where that goes.” I feel like we leave it in a place where there’s potential to continue on with the storyline. It’s a nice, interesting way to end it, but not end it. I think fans will be like, “That’s fitting. But now I really want to see where the rest of this continues to go.” It’s a perfect ending, I think, for where we are.

The War Between The Land and Sea

Finally, a new Instagram post from Russell T. Davies promising “thrills, deaths, chases, fish, and seven seas of danger” reveals table reads have begun for The War Between The Land and Sea. Can you make out any Doctor Who stars in the photo?

  • Is There Danger Afoot in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’? | The Mary Sue

Is There Danger Afoot in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’? | The Mary Sue

Matt Murdock and the team at Nelson, Murdock, & Page are all coming back to us in Daredevil: Born Again. But are they here to stay or should we be worried about the Foggy Nelson and Karen Page of it all? Especially with the previous rumors about the show?

In new footage from the set of Born Again (via ComicBook.com), we see Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) coming towards Matt, Karen (Deborah Ann Woll), and Foggy (Elden Henson). What we can clearly see is Bullseye shooting a gun off in the direction of Josie’s Bar, which has someone sitting down in front of it, before Matt dressed in a new Daredevil look runs and tackles him. Does this mean we need to be worried about Karen Page and Foggy Nelson?

Fans are worried that Page was brought back just to be killed by Bullseye (a direct pull from the Daredevil comics) but the video we do get shows Daredevil and Bullseye brawling with each other. Whether that means that they brought back Karen and Foggy to just kill them off like was originally planed in the first Born Again series, we don’t know. And hopefully that’s not the case!

The Karen we got in the show is a very different take on the Karen Page from the comics. Her relationship with Frank Castle is new to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and her connection to Matt and Foggy is less like the comic origin. So will this be the moment from the comic they pull or does Bullseye miss for once?

Would they bring them back just to do what everyone was mad about?

Karen, Matt, and Foggy all sitting at a table together drinking
    (Disney+)

It is rumored that the original iteration of Daredevil: Born Again had both Foggy and Karen killed off-screen with Matt being blamed. Fans rightfully were angry at this news because we were promised a look into Nelson, Murdock, & Page at the end of season 3 of the show when it was on Netflix. What we’ve since learned from shooting images is that the crew is back together and we are getting the glimpse into the law firm that we hoped for.

But this new video does have a lot of people worried that the show is still planning on killing off at least one of Matt’s best friends.

Personally, I don’t want Karen or Foggy to die. It doesn’t make sense and Matt Murdock has been through enough during his time as Daredevil. He doesn’t need more drama added to his character arc. If they are intent on killing off Karen, there is going to be a lot to answer for when Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) hears about it and it’s just all going to be messy.

Until we know more, we will have to sit in fear of what this means for our beloved team of lawyers. For now, we can just look Matt’s new suit!

  • Vincent D’Onofrio Says Daredevil: Born Again Could Fall Under Marvel Spotlight Banner

Vincent D’Onofrio Says Daredevil: Born Again Could Fall Under Marvel Spotlight Banner

Daredevil: Born Again star Vincent D’Onofrio has said that he believes the upcoming Disney+ show will fall under the Marvel Spotlight Banner.

While on BroBible’s Post Credit Podcast, the actor was asked if he thought the new Daredevil series would be part of the Marvel Spotlight Banner. The purpose of the banner, which will include the upcoming Echo series, is to highlight more grounded stories that are focused on characters instead of the Marvel Cinematic Universe‘s overall continuity.

“For sure,” D’Onofrio stated. “That’s my opinion, I imagine it would be. Nobody has said, ‘Hey, did you know this? This is happening’ — nobody said that. But it is of the same tone and feel [as Echo]. The attention that the big bosses are giving to it is extraordinary and Charlie [Cox] and I are just amazed at how much they care about this series. I can’t imagine it being treated any less.”

In October, it was reported that Daredevil: Born Again was undergoing a “significant creative reboot” after the production break that came from the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Head writers Chris Ord and Matt Corman were quietly taken off the project alongside the series’ directors, while certain scenes and episodes that were already finished will be retained with further serialized elements added.

When did Daredevil and Kingpin debut in the MCU?

Both Daredevil and Kingpin made their MCU debuts in 2021. Kingpin guest-starred in the Disney+ Hawkeye series, and Matt Murdock briefly appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Charlie Cox also guest-starred in two episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, where he showed off a lighter side of the hero.

  • Are the Rumors True That This Fan-Favorite Character Will Come Back in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’?

Are the Rumors True That This Fan-Favorite Character Will Come Back in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’?

Daredevil (Charlie Cox) is officially coming back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in the upcoming Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again. Cox first starred as a Matt Murdock (a.k.a. Daredevil) in the Netflix series, Daredevil, which ran for 3 seasons before it was canceled. After Netflix’s Defenders series all ceased, some feared we’d never see Cox as Daredevil again. However, the MCU made the decision to integrate a few of the Netflix characters and stars into their universe.

Vincent D’Onofrio was the first Daredevil star to show up in the MCU, reprising his role as Kingpin in Hawkeye. Shortly after, Cox had a small cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home as Peter Parker’s (Tom Holland) lawyer. These were just small teases, but since then, the MCU has made it clear that Cox and D’Onofrio are in the MCU to stay. Cox will be appearing She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, while both Cox and D’Onofrio are appearing in the Disney+ series, Echo.

Not only that, but at the 2022 San Diego Comic Con, Cox was confirmed to be getting his own series, Daredevil: Born Again. Reportedly, the show will not be a continuation of Netflix’s Daredevil. The series is a reboot of Daredevil, but it will be a direct continuation of Echo. So far, Cox and D’Onofrio are the only two confirmed to be appearing in the series. However, many fans are still holding out hope that Daredevil: Born Again will reintroduce other Defenders‘ characters, such as Daredevil fan-favorite The Punisher (Jon Bernthal).

Is The Punisher in Daredevil: Born Again?

As reported by Dexerto.com in September, Bernthal’s The Punisher is rumored to be returning in Daredevil: Born Again. The rumors have been facilitated by podcaster, Tom Smith, via Twitter. Smith explained that initial rumors suggested Krysten Ritter would be returning to the MCU in some capacity as Jessica Jones. Many assumed that she was supposed to have a role in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. However, Smith confirmed with Charles Murphy, a Marvel insider, that Ritter was never considered for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

Instead, it was Daredevil: Born Again that she was being looked at for. According to Smith, those plans fell through because of scheduling conflicts. This means that the MCU was reportedly looking for someone to fill the spot previously reserved for Ritter and that they are choosing Bernthal to do so. Check out Smith’s Tweets below:

So far, Marvel has not officially confirmed that The Punisher is returning to the MCU. Bernthal portrayed The Punisher for season 2 of Daredevil and later received his solo series, The Punisher. This isn’t the first time that Bernthal has been rumored to be returning, after Rosario Dawson seemingly confirmed his return, before refuting her statement. Bernthal offered one of the most iconic portrayals of The Punisher, and, if the MCU really is trying to bring some of Netflix’s Marvel characters over to their universe, he would likely be one of their top candidates.

Actor adds to Bernthal return rumors

On November 4, 2022, a post from an unknown actor sparked speculation once more about Bernthal’s return as The Punisher. Kasey O’Keefe posted a picture on Instagram of him posing next to Bernthal. O’Keefe started the post by giving praise to Bernthal. However, in his conclusion, he wrote, “Looking forward to working with you during Marvel Phase 5!!”

O’Keefe also added #punisher to the tags in his post. The post seemingly confirmed Bernthal’s return as The Punisher. However, there isn’t much to support O’Keefe’s claims. First of all, he is a relative newcomer to the film industry, boasting only one credit to his name on IMDb. There’s no evidence that he has been cast in the MCU, making it odd that he claimed he would be working with Bernthal in Marvel Phase 5.

It should also be noted that his Instagram includes many photos of himself posing with various celebrities and expressing his wishes to work with them in the future. Hence, his post shouldn’t be taken as an official confirmation of Bernthal’s return. While there isn’t much evidence to support O’Keefe’s claims, it has once more renewed talk about Bernthal’s potential MCU debut.
