With the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys both coming off big Week 12 wins, the two teams squared off Thursday in a highly anticipated Thanksgiving matchup at 4:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
The Chiefs opened the game by forcing a turnover that turned into a Rashee Rice touchdown, but the Cowboys answered and went into halftime with the lead before eventually closing out a 31-28 victory.
Dak Prescott led the charge for Dallas, completing 27 of 39 passes for 320 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Seven of those passes went to WR CeeDee Lamb who recorded 112 yards and a TD.
For Kansas City, Patrick Mahomes delivered a strong outing of his own, going 23-of-34 for 261 yards and four touchdowns with no turnovers.
After the final whistle, the mutual respect between the two star quarterbacks was evident as Mahomes and Prescott met at midfield for a postgame handshake.
“What a performance from these two,” the NFL posted.
With the win, the Cowboys move to 6-5-1 and stay firmly in the NFC playoff hunt. The Chiefs, meanwhile, continue their up-and-down stretch, falling to 6-6 and sitting on the outside looking in on the AFC side of the bracket.
If Kansas City ultimately misses the postseason, it would mark the first time in the Mahomes era, as he’s reached either the AFC Championship Game or the Super Bowl in every season of his career as the Chiefs’ primary starter.
Mahomes threw for 261 yards with four touchdowns and could have had more yards if not for a couple of drops by his receivers.
Mahomes Magic was on full display when the Chiefs, who had been trailing by double digits in the fourth quarter, got back into the game in part due to a 42-yard deep shot that came with just under four minutes remaining to former Texas Longhorn Xavier Worthy.
The pass play came after escaping a sack by Quinnen Williams and Donovan Ezeiruaku with Mahomes scrambling to his right and making an excellent play to complete the pass.
Mahomes talked about what he saw on the big play, and why it wasn’t enough.
“They actually played a pretty good coverage, and they got pressure and just scrambling, kind of got tripped up a little bit, and I was trying to get enough on it to get it to Xavier [Worthy], but he did a good job working back to me, because his route was across the field. So got enough to get it to him and make a big play in a moment. But it was, it was too late, honestly,” said Mahomes.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones talked about playing Mahomes after the game and how impressive getting the win against him was.
“He made a couple of great throws tonight, you just thought, well, that’s what you do when you’re out here playing against him, it’s what you got, and we all knew that coming in, and knew what kind of game it was going to be, but to everybody’s credit, our defense really mitigated some of his ability to make those kinds of plays, without a doubt it did.”
The Cowboys’ defense kept Mahomes and the Chiefs out of the end zone for the second and third quarters of the game after starting the game allowing two touchdowns in the first quarter.
Mahomes needed his defense to get him the ball back to have a chance to tie the game after his big play to Worthy, but never got the opportunity with the Cowboys’ offense running out the clock to secure the victory.
Dak Prescott talked about playing Mahomes after the game, giving respect to the three-time MVP.
“Hopefully we can play again on a bigger stage in a more meaningful game, sooner than later. He’s a hell of player, you watch that game right there, and we got the ball at the end of the game and I knew we couldn’t give it back to him, you know how good he is, and it’s on his resume and we’ve all seen it before, you saw the drive before that, their last drive right of, Mahomes Magic, he’s an incredible player,” said Prescott.

The game was a must win for the Chiefs who are currently on the outside looking in on the NFL playoff picture, and already have key losses to multiple teams ahead of them including the Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bill and the Los Angeles Chargers.
Mahomes talked about how the loss affects their outlook for the rest of the season.
“I mean at the end of the day, we just gotta win every game now and hope that’s enough. So I mean, we’re going to play a lot of good football teams coming up. If we’re going to make the playoffs, we’re going to have to win ‘em all and that’s got to be the mindset when we step into the building,”
The Chiefs now face an even steeper uphill climb to the playoffs and are in serious jeopardy of missing the postseason for the first time since Mahomes became a starter.

Fans still don’t know if music superstar Taylor Swift will be at AT&T Stadium on Thursday to watch her fiance, tight end Travis Kelce, and the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Dallas Cowboys.
But tickets on the resale market reflect high interest in the Thanksgiving showdown.
Tickets on the team’s website, which were going for $628 last month, are sold out. On StubHub, the cheapesttickets are $534, which translates to $2,136 for a family of four. Some sellers are asking for as much as $2,000 per ticket, and several tickets are priced at $1,000 or more.
Ticketmaster had two tickets going for $323.68 each on Wednesday afternoon, with the next-cheapest pair at $409.50 each. Ticketmaster also has tickets approaching $2,000.
Tickets were going for $378 on StubHub last month, with some going for more than $2,000.
Some of the ticket prices can be attributed to speculation about an appearance by Swift, who also previously released the song “Fortnight” with halftime performer Post Malone.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has previously said he would roll out the red carpet for Swift if she chose to attend.
Ticket interest could also be driven by the actual football game. The Cowboys (5-5-1) and Chiefs (6-5) are fighting for their playoff lives and are both coming off comeback wins Sunday.

Then the second half happened like chapters three and four in Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight.
In other words , downhill really, really fast.
Thirty years after a Dallas Cowboys Dynasty dominated the NFL, the Eagles were in position to take one step closer to establishing their own with a complete game of their own on Sunday. Three weeks after Jerry Jones made certain that Philadelphia could not obtain Micah Parsons during a trade to Green Bay , it didn’t seem to matter at all, at least not during the 1st two quarters.

The Eagles’ 2025 season woes didn’t seem to follow them on the fight to Texas at all as the Eagles jumped out to a 21–0 advantage at AT&T Stadium as Philadelphia opened the scoring with a sixteen-yard connection from Jalen Hurts to A.J. Brown. A healthy dose of Hurts to Brown continued as Jalen Hurts ran for two additional scores — one after a long drive directly preceding a Turbin fumble. That would be the end of the Eagles’ scoring.
The rest of the game would see the Eagles turn the football over twice, amassing ninety-six yards in penalties as the Dallas defense continued to pick away at the Eagles’ defense , tying the game at 21, thanks to 354 yards passing from Dak Prescott, and finally leading to a 42-yard Brandon Aubrey Field Goal.
The only saving grace — the Eagles play again against Chicago in five days.
Quarterback Dak Prescott completed 23 of 36 passes for 354 yards and two touchdowns with an interception and rushed for another score. In the process, he broke Tony Romo’s franchise career passing yardage record.
Here’s everything he said to the media after the game:
On the comeback win
“It was needed. Never blinked, never had any doubts and 1000% believed from the beginning. There were times when I was telling the guys to believe and then there was a moment in the fourth quarter where Book [guard Tyler Booker] was like, ‘Believe,’ and I go, ‘I know.’ We’re done with the believing, we believed long enough and got ourselves back in this game, and now you have to know. That’s just a testimony to this brotherhood, sticking together. Going down 21 to the defending national Super Bowl champs in a division game is tough. I’m sure there were fans thinking this game was over, and [the Eagles] were going to run off. Defense, I can’t give them enough credit. We wouldn’t have won this game without the opportunities they gave us over and over again. It was awesome moments when they would get a stop or something would happen. Whether it was Quinnen [Williams] or Donovan [Ezeiruaku] or one of those guys telling me, ‘We got you.’ And then when they did stop them, they’d tell you, ‘We told you.’ It was just a continuation of what we did last week and just sticking together. Like I said, it’s about the brotherhood. Once again, we’re always going to do it for Marshawn Kneeland, and he was felt tonight. I’m sure he was right there playing alongside with us.”
On the team celebration and dancing in the locker room following the game
“I think I missed most of it. I was doing an interview out there with GP [George Pickens]. When I got in there, the dancing was fading off. Honestly, I had a headache. I dapped up my people and gave them love. I know it was electric in there.”
On if the win can carry over to the next game
”For sure. I think how you win is just as important as the result, but then again [that] points to how you win a game like this being down 21-0. There’s going to be moments when you’re down a touchdown or maybe two touchdowns, and that’s not going to be the last time this season. When you have a game like this, talking about the belief and the knowing. That’s what allows these guys in the locker room to do is believe we’re going to come back or know that we have the team, the brotherhood, the connection to do just that. I was just talking to [public relations manager Dave Abbruzese] walking in here that I love being down. I don’t know why and couldn’t tell you. Trust me, it’s fun when you’re up, you can laugh and joke, but when you’re down, it requires such a unique place that you have to get to in resilience, focus, and taking it one play at a time. Just trying to lead the other guys and getting them to do the same. When they do and you end up winning a game like this, this can be huge for us moving forward. As we’ve talked about all week, getting on a run, this is a hell of a way to get No. 2. We have to enjoy tonight and that’s it and be ready for Thursday.”
“They did the whole deal during the timeout break and some of the guys were giving congratulations, and I’m like ‘No. Whatever. We’ll celebrate this after the win. I don’t want to hear anything about that right now.’ Now I can enjoy that a little bit, reflect, smile and laugh. I can tell you that initially when I looked up there and saw that, there was a little emotion that hit me that I damn sure wasn’t ready for and didn’t know that would come. That’s why I countered that with anger. [I’m] blessed and thankful. It’s the result of a lot of hard work, good people around me, great teammates that care, and we’re going to keep going.”
On his touchdown run
”It was a play that is particularly drawn up to beat a man [coverage] or a zone, but you want it for a man. You bring the motion for an indicator, and I realized that it wasn’t man and I’m going to have to take a drop and allow for the play to develop. I did that and had a rush up the edge, and I just got out. When I did, Ferg [Jake Ferguson] did a great job at realizing that he had a guy on him, and he wasn’t going to get the ball. [He] turned and blocked him and allowed me to be one-on-one with the guy. I didn’t want to get hit in the knees, so I jumped and got a good roll. After that, it was just electric. The love and the energy from the teammates and the sideline. At that moment, I knew the game was going to be ours.”
On if wide receiver George Pickens has reached a level that exceeds his expectations
“It’s hard for me to say exceeds my expectations. My expectations for him are limitless, and he’ll tell you that he’s not from here. I’m sure you have all read his article in The Players’ Tribune. He’s not from here, he’s not from this planet and so, I’m not going to put limitations on him. He went out there and did what he’s done in games when he has that opportunity, in practice as well. The guy loves the game. He stays focused. Just the communication, as I’ve said before, to other guys in the huddle about staying focused and keep doing what you’re doing. We lucked up with getting a guy like that. We have to make sure that we can keep him here. He’s a hell of a player turning into a leader, and he’s special.”
On what his message at halftime to the team was
“I was just talking on what I felt at that time and the emotions. I couldn’t even you exactly what I said. I’m sure I was just saying something on the fact that we had just got that touchdown. If we don’t have that touchdown before halftime, that energy and the confidence that I and the other guys are speaking with isn’t quite there. But we did that and realized that all those other possessions, we just hurt ourselves. Turnover in the red zone, from me and the interception, the fumble, and the plus-territory, we were only hurting ourselves. That when I was like, let’s stop shooting ourselves in the foot. We gave them a 21-point lead, but we knew we had the upper hand. It was about just sticking together; it’s all about brotherhood and a lot of that type of stuff. You could tell it was resonating and the guys were feeling it. I know the defense had their own thing going, and I heard them. It gives you confidence on our side of the ball, and we went out there and did it.”
On making a push for the end of the season
“Just take it one play at a time. We have to find that unique place that I was talking about being down. We’ve had it almost going with every game with that mindset. It’s not one game at a time. We have to win every game. With that being said, you can only do that by winning every play and giving it your best every play. When you do that, can stay focused and finish with elite execution, you’re going to feel confident and good about what you’ve done. We just have to find that, and it really starts at practice and at these walkthroughs in the next couple of days getting ready for Kansas City. Tons of confidence in this group and team. It starts with our defense. They’re the reason we were able to come back in this game and have a chance to win it. We have to stop shooting ourselves in the foot, and this game could’ve been completely different.”
On what his message was to wide receiver CeeDee Lamb about his resiliency
“He’s a guy that expects to make a lot of plays. I’ve had games and felt the exact same way. For me, it’s about don’t press. Let’s not ride the highs and the lows. Even if you’ve had a bad play or whatever, let it go. You’re a hell of a player, and you know it. Like you said, he made great plays and had that big catch at the end and got the PI that would’ve been a touchdown right after that. When you press, I’ve seen CeeDee do it, you’re not going to get the best version of yourself. I’m the same way. When I can tell that he’s getting into that position, it’s just about talking to him. He did a good job of responding and just staying with it and made the plays that he needed to make for us to ultimately win this game. He’s a hell of a player, and he’s going to get frustrated when he’s not making the plays that he expects to make, but he will make those. He had some adversity tonight. We’ve seen it before and the way that he responds. I look forward to him responding.”
On the point in the game when belief changed to know
“I think that conversation happened after that first turnover. Honestly, the drive that we ended up not scoring on, down in the red zone. I think it was the beginning of that that I told them. He was telling the guys in the huddle, ‘Believe. Believe.’ And I just said, ‘Forget that at that point. I know.’ And sure, words of confidence and emotions. I said, ‘I’ve been there. I’ve done this. We’re fine. We’re right where we need to be. Focus on each and every play and execute.’ Sure, we didn’t on that drive, but defense or special teams went and made a play and we’re able to end up doing that.”
“We tried to motion CeeDee in. Man or zone, it’s a great concept that we feel comfortable with. They did a good job. They played to their leverage. They had outside leverage, and we were running out breakers that they sat on it. I had nothing there to the field. When I came back, it was gonna be just a high-low from the tight end in the X, and I had pressure at that point. I just tried to give Jake a ball and Jake said he actually caught it, which I guess it wouldn’t have been a touchdown either way, but they did a good job. They did better than us on that. Honestly I go back to plays before that. Whether it’s me scrambling out on that one, maybe jump again, you know what I mean? Go get in the end zone, try to, or who knows, but we’ve got convert when we’ve got four opportunities down there. We’re way too good. We’ve got way too many elite players, and we’re just too good on offense to stall like that.”
On effect of trades and injury returns on the locker room
“You’ve seen it. You’ve seen it starting Monday and then obviously just getting into tonight. A game like this is all about confidence and belief in one another. When you’re down 21-0 early like that to one of the best teams in the league, defending world champions, for you to keep your resilience high and for you to stay focused and understand that you’ve got a chance. We’ve only been hurting ourselves. A lot of people think, ‘Oh no, sure we’ve messed up, but they’ve made us mess up.’ No, we were only hurting ourselves, and so our brotherhood’s growing. Obviously, we’ve been through a measure amount of adversity, losing a brother, but that’s only brought us closer together. And then when we’ve made these trades, and we’ve made these additions to the team, guys have come back and been healthy. It’s just made everybody feel more confident. Guys are communicating. Guys are connected, and it’s a fun group to be a part of and we’re going to try to keep this thing running.”
On waiting for tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford to find his balance on his touchdown reception
“I was waiting the whole time. I’m like, ‘Please don’t fall, Brev.’ I think I saw from the very beginning, him stumbling. I’m like, ‘Man, if he falls, I’ve got to throw it away, but if you can even just look up, buddy, I’m throwing it to you.’ And sure enough he was able to get his feet together, catch his balance, and I was able to give him a chance right before I went out of bounds. But yeah, I saw that from the very beginning of the play. We’re trying to get it to the running back. They did a great job of blowing that up. Even the other options and Brev’s really your last resort on the backside, and I was looking for him, and when he was stumbling I was like, ‘Please don’t fall. Please don’t fall.’ Hell of a play by him.”
On not kicking a field goal on fourth down
“After we didn’t get it, sure I’m like, ‘Damn, we should have kicked it.’ But absolutely not. I want the ball in my hands knowing you’re that close. I just said that’s on us. We’ve got to be able to find a way to execute. We’ve got too many good players, too many players that can win versus one-on-one. Great offensive line. No, I’m never upset about that call. Not only that, they’ve got to go 99 or 90 something yards against a defense who’s been stopping them all game, so it was the right call. Ultimately we stopped them. Ultimately got the ball back, decent field position. We’re able to make the plays, and Butter [Brandon Aubrey] went did what he did and finished the game off. So no surprise.”
On pass protection tonight
“Credit those guys. I don’t know if I’ve said it enough tonight, they did a hell of a job. That’s a good group up there that feels very confident in rushing with their four guys. Obviously they were bringing a fifth a good bit tonight. They were doing that because those guys up front were blocking their four guys. That’s a compliment to them when you see Philly bringing that fifth guy and doing it as much as they were trying to do, that they were holding up. [Running back Javonte Williams] was a big part of that, and not only that, the run game was, you have to have the run game working for those actions, for them to even begin to work. Compliment to those guys. If we didn’t put ourselves in a hole as much as we did early. I don’t know what the numbers quite were, but it would’ve been a very, very balanced game. I still think it was, right? Good amount of runs and yards. Javonte had a hell of a game, Malik [Davis] as well coming in there. All starts with the offensive line, they were a key tonight.”
On if this was his proudest win for what the team had to overcome
“Yeah, I mean it’s a special game. It’s a game that I definitely won’t forget. I’m not a guy of even thinking about records, taking memorabilia or things like that. After this game, one of the trainers asked me what I wanted to do with the jersey and I said, ‘Yeah, I’m going to keep that one.’ So I know it’s a game that I won’t forget. It’s a game that hopefully, I can look back you know and say this was the moment, this was the time, this game meant everything to that season. Right now just staying where my feet are. Super thankful for this team, for the men. For the opportunity, honestly. That’s what I was telling guys when we were down 21-0, you got to love this. That might be what I was saying at half, too. You got to love this. What an opportunity, it’s 21-7, this is what you do. We know we’ve got everything to be capable of coming back and winning this. This is when it gets fun. It was exactly that. Yeah, it’s one I’m definitely proud of — can’t say it’s the most proud. I’ll have to wait until the end of the career, then tell you that. Great team win tonight.”

He previously was sports editor of the Waco Tribune-Herald and a freelance high school sports reporter for The Dallas Morning News.
Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones revealed why star wide receiver George Pickens was really benched for the opening series of the team’s win against the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday night.
CeeDee Lamb was also benched for the opening series and told reporters that he and Pickens missed the team’s 10 p.m. curfew on Sunday after having dinner and drinks. However, Jones said Pickens was benched for a different reason.
“(Head coach Brian Schottenheimer’s) not going to play favorites with anybody,” Jones told 105.3 The Fan on Friday.

“He felt very strongly [about] that, that was part of it. I think a lot of people thought they had to be together because they are great friends, but believe it or not, one was of the night before leading into the morning, and the other one was missing the buses.”
While both Lamb and Pickens did not play in the first series, they both had standout performances in the team’s 33-16 win on Monday. Pickens had nine catches for 144 yards and a touchdown while Lamb recorded five catches for 66 yards and a touchdown.

The pair have formed one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL when they are on the field together.
Lamb missed three games due to injury this season and Pickens stepped up and emerged as a reliable target for Dak Prescott. In seven games this season, Lamb has 40 catches for 557 yards and two touchdowns.

Pickens, in his first season with the Cowboys after being traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers, has 58 catches for 908 yards and seven touchdowns.
The star wide receiver duo will look to keep their momentum going when the Cowboys (4-5-1) take on the Philadelphia Eagles (8-2) on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.
After a gutsy defensive performance against one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. The Eagles have improved to 8-2 on the season despite their own offensive struggles.
And while they were winning an NFC best 8 games through 11 weeks, they’ve successfully collected tiebreakers against 4 of 6 current playoff teams.
The Tiebreakers
Starting 4-0 was the best result for the Eagles to start the season strong. Giving Dallas a Week 1 loss helped jumpstart the lead they have on the NFC East, which currently sits at 3.5 games with only 7 weeks left in the season. There’s an opportunity to have the division wrapped up before December even starts. But before the Eagles can worry about an early notch into their season, they have to get through another round of Dallas Week.
Following the Week 1 celebration of Super Bowl LIX and kicking off the NFL season 1-0. The Eagles pulled together wins against the Los Angeles Rams(8-2), and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-4). Both teams who currently lead their divisions, and sit at 2nd and 4th in the early NFC playoff seeding. Even the Packers still sit at 2nd in their division at 6-3-1. One of Philadelphia’s defensive showings, managing to hold Green Bay to 7 points.
With teams like the Seahawks(7-3), 49ers(7-4)and Panthers(6-5) breathing down their respective divisions throats, it won’t take much for the standings to completely flip. Much like they did for Detroit Sunday night.
Coming into SNF in Philadelphia, Detroit could’ve claimed 1st in their division, and 2nd in the NFC with a win over the Eagles. But after 5 attempts on 4th down that resulted in 0 conversions. The Lions fell to 6-4 after a 16-9 loss to the Eagles. Going from 3rd in the NFC, and leading the NFC North. To 3rd in the NFC North, and down to 8th in the NFC. Sitting right outside the playoff bubble.
One More To Go
The Eagles will play one more team in the NFC during Week 13 that they could claim an important playoff tiebreaker over. The 7-3, NFC North leading Chicago Bears. A win over the Bears would give the Eagles an advantage against the majority of NFC playoff teams while their schedule gets lighter down the stretch against the Commanders (3-8) and the Raiders (2-8).
But first, they’ll have to go through Dallas (again.)
Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland was driving in excess of 145 miles per hour before hitting another vehicle in Frisco on Nov. 5 and dying by suicide a short time later, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety report.
A DPS trooper reported a black Dodge Charger traveling at a high rate of speed in the northbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway near Keller Springs Boulevard shortly after 10:30 p.m. Another trooper spotted the vehicle at Frankford Road and began following.
According to the report, the Charger made several unsafe lane changes and reached speeds of more than 145 mph before taking the exit for Headquarters Drive. The trooper began a pursuit using his lights and siren after the Charger accelerated through an intersection.
Instead of stopping, Kneeland got back on the tollway, and the trooper lost sight of him near Lebanon Road. The chase was terminated at that point. Surveillance cameras showed the Charger traveling southbound on Dallas Parkway.
A short time later, Kneeland struck a pickup truck and crashed in a grassy field near Dallas Parkway and Warren Parkway, the report states. The driver of the truck wasn’t injured. The athlete ran away on foot toward several businesses in the area. Officers found an empty holster in the Charger, leading them to believe Kneeland was armed.

In recordings of police dispatch audio reviewed by the Star-Telegram, officers are informed that Kneeland’s girlfriend reported he was armed with a gun, had a history of mental health issues and that he sent her a message saying he would “end it all.” Dispatchers also say in the audio that Kneeland texted his family to say goodbye.
Frisco police found Kneeland’s body inside a portable toilet shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 6. The 24-year-old athlete died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, officials said.
Kneeland was a second-round pick out of Western Michigan in 2024 and had played in 18 games for the Cowboys. He combined for 26 tackles including five tackles for loss and one sack. In his final game against the Arizona Cardinals on the night of Nov. 3, he recovered a blocked punt for his only NFL touchdown.

Dallas Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb opened up about why he and teammate George Pickens were benched for the first drive of the team’s blowout win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
Lamb explained that he and Pickens were out late at a Las Vegas casino and were disciplined for returning past curfew. The wide receiver also said he wanted to refute reports on social media that he was seen throwing up at the casino the morning before the game.

“That’s a disrespect to even suggest that,” Lamb said, via The Dallas Morning News. “I know how to hold my liquor.”
Regardless of the benching, Lamb and Pickens had themselves a dynamite game.
Pickens had nine catches for 144 yards and a 37-yard touchdown catch. Lamb had five catches for 66 yards and a touchdown. Their touchdowns helped contribute to Dak Prescott’s incredible game as he was 25-of-33 with 268 passing yards and four touchdown passes.

Pickens, who was acquired by the Cowboys in the offseason from the Pittsburgh Steelers, has had a terrific year in Dallas. He has 58 catches for 908 yards and seven touchdowns, as he’s pacing for his best season yet as a pro.
Lamb missed a couple of games with an injury. He has 40 catches for 557 yards and two touchdown catches.

The Cowboys, despite their stunning trade of Micah Parsons, are still hanging around playoff contention and have a big game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Dallas will enter the game 4-5-1 and Philadelphia will be at 8-2.
Quarterback Dak Prescott completed 25 of 33 passes for 268 yards and four touchdowns.
Here’s everything he said to the media after the game:
On his thoughts on the last few days
“Obviously, a tough, hard, 12 days, and through the bye week those days, as I mentioned earlier in the week, those first few days, right, not being with the guys was harder than anything. But the last six, seven, being together, working together, having conversations, healing, shining a light on who Marshawn [Kneeland] was. Then, obviously coming out here tonight, and playing with the style that he played with, the intensity, the efforts, finish, and super proud of the guys. Whirlwind of a week. Great one to cap off with a win right here, put a cap on it. We’re going to continue to move forward, shining light on Marshawn and his and carrying his legacy, and we need to play like this every week, moving forward, and he’ll always be with us.”
On CeeDee Lamb’s and George Pickens’ play in the game
“Huge. I mean getting those guys the ball, watching them run after catch, being who they are, two elite guys that complement each other, that build off of each other’s energy. One guy makes a play, the other one wants to make a play. Tonight was fun, just as I’ve always said. I’m just trying to get the ball out of my hands to these guys, be like a point guard and let them go do what they do best, and tonight was a good example of that.”
On the energy between him and Pickens
“He’s a wonderful, kind guy. Special individual, elite, has a great feel for the game, loves the game, plays the game like a kid. When you watch him play, the energy, the celebrations, that’s contagious. Luckily, we got a kicker who can make it. I know Schott [head coach Brian Schottenheimer] is probably not happy about it, but when you get a kicker that can bail you out, it’s one thing, but the discipline, there is a part of that that we’ve all got to tighten up. And GP [Pickens] knows that, obviously he responded to it, responded to the discipline by the way that he came out, and the intensity he played with and the effort he had. But he’s a special individual, and you said there’s a balance to it.”
On if the duo “opens things up” for a quarterback
“Yeah, no doubt about it. I think they open up things for each other. You get both of those guys and they’re out wide, what coverage are you going to play? When you’re single-high, you’ve got to learn one way or another. You’ve got to pick a receiver to help, so that’s why I say they’re complementary to one another.”
On his emotions coming into the game
“Electric, honestly, especially afterwards. Before the game, business as normal, to be honest. And I give the guys a lot of credit for that. I give the coaches credit, I give the whole organization credit for the resources and discussing these emotions and these feelings throughout the week before they’ve happened. Guys all had a plan, they stuck to their process of pregame, and it showed in the execution during the game. And then after it was a celebration. It’s been a tough week, and to be able to celebrate and smile for a moment, and to know that you went out there and you, like Schotty said, made Marshawn proud and honored him the right way. But this is one week, we want to continue to do that.”
On how they will keep honoring with their schedule of playing three games in 12 days
“Yeah, nice, tough road. And as you just said, Schotty said, the honoring doesn’t stop. And honestly, when the season’s over, the honoring won’t stop. So, it’s about intensifying everything that we do to carry the legacy of Marshawn, and then over these next three games with the opponents coming in and us wanting to get to where we want to go, everything’s just got to heighten, right? The discipline, the focus, the intensity, the aggressiveness, and that’s at practice, and that’ll just carry over into the game. I’ve always said the game’s a celebration of the work that you put in throughout the week. So, we’re looking forward to it. We’re looking forward to it.”
On how he evaluates his game
“Solid. Put the ball in harm’s way once, maybe even twice. Receivers did a good job of knocking it down. Other than that, I was just trying to be a point guard and distribute the ball, get the ball to these guys, let them go do work, and I had a great red zone plan. All but the last two right possessions we scored in the red zone. So, just stick to my reads, sticking to the process of practice and the game plan and allowing these guys to be special, like they are.”
On defensive tackle Quinnen Williams
“I don’t know if there’s words for him. Special individual. From the moment he walked into the building, I’ve got a match in putting the time in taking care of the body. That’s somebody that challenges me and just being a professional and inspires me in everything that he’s doing. The conversations that we’ve had, discussing what he expects out of an offense and the way that he plays, and vice versa. Super impressed with him. Obviously, I’ve known he’s been a dude from playing against him and watching it, but to have him as a teammate now, we’re very, very fortunate. And he’s going to continue to be the man that he is, and he’s raising everybody’s focus intensity. You saw it tonight, and he’s a leader.”
On what helped on the red zone efficiency
“Just the focus update right through the bye week, and having a good plan of understanding what these guys want to do, and how they were going to attack, how we were going to tackle. And I was efficient down there right, and getting into the guys. And they ran good routes. They were speed, they were getting to their spots on time. And when we do that, that should be the result. And obviously, we should have had another one right there at the end, and we’re not complacent with the 3-for-5 or whatever it is. We want to go 5-for-5, and we’re just trying to build, and we’ve got to with the road we have left.”
On seeing linebacker DeMarvion Overshown and cornerback Shavon Revel back on the field
“Special. Overshown is my favorite player. I told him that. His locker is right by mine. I knew he was going to go out and have a great game. It’s just that’s because of the way that he approaches the business each and every day with the same attitude. A hell of a leader, special player. That’s no surprise. He’s really my favorite player. And then Revel is a super excited young player. I had a couple of times of rehabbing with him, but to just see him over these last couple of weeks at practice, watching the way he runs, watch him turn get in out of cuts. He can run, and he’s going to be a great player for us.”
On what “opened up” on the field to let him be the point guard
“We knew we were going to play a team with a lot of spot drop, so it was important for our guys to run, be fast, be at their spots on time, in the right depths. And credit to our receivers and obviously the guys up front giving me a few seconds, and those guys being detailed on where they need to be. And if we can continue to do that, like I said, that’s what we can expect of ourselves.”
On how the defense’s energy helped the offense
“Contagious. That’s what complementary football is about. Going out there, first drive three-and-out, second drive we fumble right there in their own red zone, and for our defense to come out and make a stop and hold them to a field goal, I think that’s where we all took off, right there, seeing the confidence that that gave just the whole group of, ‘Worry about yourself, focus on your job, and we can play complementary football now.’ And tonight was a good example of that.”
On how special the touchdown from Ryan Flournoy was given his relationship with Kneeland
“It was awesome, special. Honestly I didn’t even think about their relationship and how special this was for him. But that’s just a reward for a guy [like Flournoy] who does everything right. Whatever you ask him to do, run, block, break the huddle, and CeeDee says, ‘No, I want that route,’ he goes and plays the other position and does it with such a great attitude, with such grace. One of the best teammates I’ve been around; keeps a positive attitude, stays focused and cares a lot about his teammates, cares a lot about his teammates, and gives it his all each and every day. He’s going to be a big part in carrying that legacy. Marshawn’s legacy, and I know he’s proud and honored to do that, and special for him to get a touchdown.”
On how much he can take from a win like this
“I hope we can take everything out of it honestly. You know, it’s the NFL, and let’s not look at these records and understand that this is an NFL team, and this is more about us. We go in each and every game saying, ‘It’s about us.’ And tonight’s an example of that, it was a dominating win. Sure, I understand that they’re struggling, right? But if we play that way, I don’t care who it is, the score might not be that big, margin might not be that way, but there’s no reason that we can’t be confident and feel like we’re going to come out on top if we can play with that same intensity and effort and complement.”
On what it meant to see all the support for Kneeland
“Yeah, that’s special. Special is one of these moments you realize that this is just a game, and life is what’s important. Our connections, our relationships, what we say to each other, how we can lift each other up, how we can be a helping hand, how we can be a true neighbor, a true brother, a true sister, and love one another. One love like Marshawn lived by, that’s awesome. Didn’t realize the Raiders were doing that. Obviously, I know the crowd was, I saw a bunch of the signs, and that’s what it’s about. That’s what makes life beautiful. And hopefully we’d all continue to look at our neighbors, look at ourselves, and ask, how can we be better? How can we help better them? And just a moment, like I said, to understand that it’s much bigger than this game, it’s about life.”
On the meaning behind the “one love” on his wristband
“Yeah, I mean, I’ve had ‘ask for help’ on there for majority of the games, since I’ve been writing on it, and sometimes change up, right, the message, and it was just the right message tonight, not only in honor of Marshawn, but as I was just iterating it’s one love, like we get one life, right? We all do, and we are responsible of being the best neighbor to the person next to us and giving them everything that they need in life that we’re capable of giving. And so, yeah, to just show the world one love, and just to try to go out there and play focused and allow my play and my focus and my relationship with my teammates to hopefully be an example of that.”
On how this win can help propel them on a winning streak
“Yeah, why not? And I know I’ve been saying that, I’ll probably keep saying that, why not. And it’s more about we’re in control, right? We’re in control, and life’s going to throw things at us, and it threw us a hell of a curveball this past week. And how are we going to respond? That’s what I was telling the team, right? To have a testimony we’ve got to go through a test. And this is a big test to our brotherhood and who we are, and to this organization, to us individually. Let’s have pride and let’s honor our brother. And if we can continue to do that, move forward carrying that light and play the way that we did tonight, why not?”
On the tribute ceremony he got at his high school
“Yeah, that was special. It was a hard day. It was the same day that we lost Marshawn. So it was a very whirlwind of emotions. Yeah, it was a tough day. I don’t know if my emotions and mind was there even enough to enjoy it quite the way that I wanted to, but I can’t tell you how appreciative I am of my high school and where I’m from and talking about carrying things on. I am from Haughton, Louisiana, and I am Haughton, as I told them. And wherever I go, they go with me. And so, super proud to be where I’m from. Super thankful to be able to give back and to be in this position and hopefully to inspire a bunch of kids there on the field now, being Prescott Field. And it’s not just honoring me, that’s honoring my mother, who put so much into the community by loving her boys and allowing her boys to go forward and to shine lights. Then my brother as well, both of my brothers, who were great athletes, who inspired me and made me the athlete that I am, to even get us to this position.”
On the extra effort plays shown tonight can help define them moving forward
“Yeah, that’s the winning plays. Those are the winning plays, not the highlights, right? Everybody sees that, but it’s that behind the scene, the third-and-10 that, you know, you get an 8- or 9-yard completion and put you in position, right, to go forward, which we did and and got the touchdown. Especially to a player like that, right? Hunter [Luepke], who does everything right, doesn’t get a lot of shines, not getting all the notoriety, does all the dirty work going, does anything you ask him to do. That’s what’s going to make this group special is those type of plays as we move forward and if we want to accomplish what we want to in these next few games to finish up.”
On the importance of speaking up about your mental health
“Yeah, I mean that’s being vulnerable. It’s not necessarily being weak. And to have courage or to show strength, there has to be that counter of that, right? There has to be that moment of vulnerability. It has to be that moment of weakness for you to even exemplify your courage or exemplify your braveness and how strong you can be. There has to be adversity to overcome. So, with that being said, it’s not, it’s real. We all go through, we all have foreign thoughts, and not all of us are capable and strong enough to counteract those thoughts and understand that they are foreign, right? That makes us feel different, then puts us in different moods, and I think that’s the most important part, is being aware of who you are and your moods and your daily acts. Not everybody understands that. When you get in those down moments, those depressed moments, it’s not about talking, and that’s what I’ve said earlier. It’s about being a good neighbor. And as a neighbor, sometimes we ask, how are you doing? You get a ‘good’ back. I think we should ask deeper sometimes, right? If you ask two or three times and that person says, ‘Good,’ well then, they’re cheating you. And you know that you have that responsibility too, of opening up. So we just got to have more conversations and talk. When you do that, as I told the local media, right, earlier this week, you’re just emptying out your cup. The more that you can help fill someone else’s cup.”
On what he did mentally to get an explosive second quarter
“I didn’t go anywhere when that happened. I stayed focused. I understand it’s football plays like that are going to happen. They had a better play than we had right there. They got a hell of a player, Maxx Crosby, who can rush. And trying to throw the ball away, he gets his hand on the football, back and forth, comes forward, and great play by them. But as I said, to watch our defense go out there and to hold them to a field goal, not allowing them to score a touchdown wasn’t just rejuvenating to me, I think, just to everybody and we fed off of that. But I’m not going to lose focus off of one negative play, off of a couple negative plays. This game is long, and each play has enough responsibility in itself, so I just like to focus one at a time and give my best.”

We’re about to enter our third week of what feels like a never-ending contract dispute between Disney and YouTube TV that has left YouTube TV customers without access to over 20 Disney-owned channels. Reports estimate that Disney is losing $4.3 million per day during the blackout, you you would think they’d like to resolve the situation quickly, but Disney CFO Hugh Johnston stated ominously earlier this week, “We’re ready to go as long as they want to.” On the up side, YouTube TV has finally started issuing $20 credits to customers as consolation for their troubles, but will that be enough to keep their base from jumping ship and finding a new streaming service? As a reminder of how we got here, the Walt Disney Co. pulled its channels from YouTube TV on Oct. 30 after the two companies failed to reach new terms on their latest carriage agreement, and YouTube TV subscribers have gone without NFL, NBA and NCAA games on ABC and ESPN’s suite of channels for two full weeks. With no agreement in sight, YouTube TV subscribers will be left in the dark for this weekend’s NCAA football games, and possibly Monday Night Football, too.
With huge conference matchups like Texas vs. Georgia and Oklahoma vs. Alabama on ABC and Florida vs. Ole Miss on ESPN this Saturday,, you’ll need to seek out alternative viewing methods if you rely on YouTube TV for those channels. And unfortunately for YouTube TV’s negotiating position, there are plenty of options.
One of the cheapest ways to watch ESPN is with a Sling Day Pass — for just $5/day, you can tune into any and all ESPN programming with no other commitments. If you want a full switch from YouTube TV, there’s Hulu + Live TV, DirecTV, or Fubo, where you can watch all the Disney-owned channels. (Remember, unlike a lot of cable plans, you can easily pause or cancel YouTube TV or any of these alternatives, so long as you have month-to-month subscriptions.) Below, we’ve outlined some of your best options to watch ESPN, the Disney Channel, ABC and more, all pulled from our list of best live TV streaming services to cut cable, as well as a comprehensive list of which channels have been affected, and the biggest sporting events of the week that won’t be available to YouTube TV subscribers.

You can plug in your ZIP code at antennaweb.org to see what channels are in your area. This off-brand unit has worked very well in our initial testing — it’s under $30, and the channels are truly free.

Marshawn Kneeland, who appeared in 18 games with the Dallas Cowboys since his 2024 NFL rookie season, died at the age of 24, but there is new hope that the late defensive lineman’s legacy will live on.
On Wednesday, Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer revealed Kneeland’s girlfriend, Catalina Mancera, is expecting the couple’s child.
“[Catalina is] pregnant, and so we want to make sure she is taken care of and the baby is taken care of for the rest of their lives,” Schottenheimer told reporters. “Our guys — it’s very important to them and to us.”

Schottenheimer also revealed that the team launched a memorial fund honoring Kneeland and supporting Catalina. The first-year Dallas head coach also recalled some of the memories he shared with the former NFL player.
“Marshawn loved the words ‘one love,’” Schottenheimer explained. “So, we talked a lot about love as we grieve.”
Schottenheimer noted that he will remember Kneeland for being one of “the most playful spirits of any young man I’ve been around.”

“His smile could take you to your knees,” the coach recounted. “And, in terms of him as an athlete, no one had a better motor than him. So, my heart is heavy.
“Our team’s heart is heavy. We don’t move on, but we do move forward.”
Mancera recently shared a message about the heartbreaking loss.
“My sweet baby, words could never express how broken I feel,” she wrote in a social media post. “You’re my everything. I’ll love you forever my beautiful angel.”

Frisco police said the defensive lineman died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities responded after a driver reportedly evaded police during a chase. Responding officers found a vehicle crashed near the southbound lanes of a local parkway. Kneeland fled on foot, police reported.
Authorities also said Kneeland contacted his family via text message prior to his death to tell them goodbye, police told dispatchers, according to audio obtained and reviewed by People. The investigation remains ongoing.
Shortly after the tragedy, the Cowboys released a statement, saying, “It is with extreme sadness that the Dallas Cowboys share that Marshawn Kneeland tragically passed away this morning. Marshawn was a beloved teammate and member of our organization. Our thoughts and prayers regarding Marshawn are with his girlfriend Catalina and his family.”

The NFL is asking all teams to hold a moment of silence on Sunday for Dallas Cowboys rookie Marshawn Kneeland, who died this past week, ESPN reported.
The league reportedly sent a memo to all teams on Friday requesting the moment of silence, which will be followed by a message on jumbotrons that will read: “If you or someone you know is struggling or needs emotional support, please call or text 988. The Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is available 24-7 to help.”

Kneeland died early Thursday morning, just days after recording his first NFL touchdown on Monday night.
The Texas Department of Public Safety and the Frisco Police Department later released statements confirming that Kneeland had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound following a police chase in Texas.

Kneeland’s agent Jonathan Perzley paid tribute to the young NFL player in a lengthy statement, remembering him for his “spirit” and “goodness.”
“I watched him fight his way from a hopeful kid at Western Michigan with a dream to being a respected professional for the Dallas Cowboys. Marshawn poured his heart into every snap, every practice, and every moment on the field. To lose someone with his talent, spirit, and goodness is a pain I can hardly put into words.”
According to officials, DPS troopers attempted to make a traffic stop around 10:33 p.m. when the driver, later identified as Kneeland, refused to stop. Authorities engaged in a pursuit but eventually lost sight of Kneeland’s vehicle, ending the chase.

His car was later found abandoned, and authorities found Kneeland dead nearby.
Frisco police, who assisted in the DPS pursuit, released a statement saying that the abandoned vehicle was found by troopers “minutes later” and that Kneeland was believed to have fled on foot.
Police said that during their search, they learned that “Kneeland had expressed suicidal ideations.”
Kneeland was in his second season with the Cowboys after being selected 56th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. His death came just days after he recorded his first NFL touchdown in a game against the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night.

“I hurt. Heavy, heavy heart today,” Prescott told CBS News Texas. “I hurt for Marshawn, I hurt for his family, I hurt for his girlfriend, and I hurt for every single one of my teammates. This is a pain you don’t wish upon anybody.”
Cowboys defensive lineman Solomon Thomas also shared a message in honor of his late teammate.
“Brother Marshawn, I love you. I wish you knew it was going to be okay. I wish you knew the pain wouldn’t last and how loved you are. I wish you knew how bad we wanted you to stay,” Thomas posted on Instagram Friday. “My heart breaks for you and your loved ones. We will lift your spirit up everyday.”
Thomas co-founded The Defensive Line, an organization that seeks to raise awareness about suicide prevention.
Frisco police said the defensive lineman died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities responded after a driver reportedly evaded police during a chase. Responding officers found a vehicle crashed near the southbound lanes of a local parkway. Kneeland fled on foot, police reported.

FRISCO, Texas (AP) — Police in a Dallas suburb say 24-year-old Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland was found dead of an apparent suicide after evading authorities in his vehicle and fleeing the scene of an accident on foot.
Frisco police said Thursday they are investigating the possible suicide. They said Kneeland didn’t stop for Texas Department of Public Safety troopers over a traffic violation in a chase that was joined by Frisco police on Wednesday night.
Authorities lost sight of the vehicle before locating it crashed minutes later. During the search after Kneeland fled the crash site on foot, officers said they received word that Kneeland might be suicidal. He was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound early Thursday morning, about three hours after the crash, police said without specifying where Kneeland’s body was found.

Kneeland was in his second season with the Cowboys. He was a 2024 second-round draft pick out of Western Michigan.
“I am shattered to confirm that my client and dearest friend Marshawn Kneeland passed away last night,” Kneeland’s agent, Jonathan Perzley, said in a statement that asked for privacy. “Marshawn poured his heart into every snap, every practice and every moment on the field. To lose someone with his talent, spirit and goodness is a pain I can hardly put into words.”
Kneeland’s rookie season was off to a promising start before he was sidelined for five games by a knee injury.
Kneeland had his first career sack in the season opener this year against Philadelphia. He played in seven games this season, missing two with an ankle injury.
“Marshawn was a beloved teammate and member of our organization,” the Cowboys said. “Our thoughts and prayers regarding Marshawn are with his girlfriend Catalina and his family.”
The Cowboys have frequently sought pass rushers and other defensive linemen in the first two rounds of the draft. Kneeland was drafted a year after defensive end Sam Williams was taken by Dallas in the second round. Williams blocked the punt that Kneeland recovered against the Cardinals.
Kneeland’s mother, Wendy Kneeland, died suddenly while he was preparing for the draft. He had his mother’s ashes in a necklace he wore after joining the Cowboys, according to The Dallas Morning News.
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the passing of Cowboys’ Marshawn Kneeland,” the NFL said. “We have been in contact with the Cowboys and have offered support and counseling resources.”
Miami Dolphins receivers coach Robert Prince, who had the same position with the Cowboys when Kneeland was a rookie last year, had tears in his eyes as he met with reporters Thursday.
“We spent a lot of time (together) when he was injured and working out in the weight room,” Prince said. “We’d shoot the breeze. He was a Western Michigan kid and I coached with the Lions for a while so we had some Michigan-type stories. Good kid. I’m sorry to hear that about him.”
Kneeland had a career-high 57 tackles along with 4 1/2 sacks in nine games as a senior at Western Michigan.
“My heart is absolutely broken over the loss of Marshawn Kneeland,” Western Michigan coach Lance Taylor said. “His leadership, energy and smile were infectious, and he left a lasting impact on everyone in our program. Having coached him during my first season here, we developed a special bond that went far beyond football.”
Tributes poured in from around the NFL, including Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, who raised the topic of suicide awareness with a reporter during training camp this year.
“It sucks seeing the news of our NFL brother!” Simmons wrote on X. “Even when someone is carrying the biggest smile, make sure to just check in on them. You just never know man. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, we all go through things that we sometimes hide!”
Two of Kneeland’s Dallas teammates, quarterback Dak Prescott and defensive lineman Solomon Thomas, had siblings who died by suicide and have foundations supporting suicide awareness and prevention. Thomas’ sister, Ella, was the same age as Kneeland.

The driver refused to stop and troopers gave chase. DPS said the troopers lost sight of the vehicle and called off the chase.
The vehicle was later found abandoned after it had crashed on the southbound lanes of the DNT in Frisco, DPS said. Law enforcement officers searched the area and found Kneeland dead from a self-inflicted gunshot.
The Frisco Police Department is investigating, according to DPS.

The Arizona Cardinals have finally snapped their five-game losing streak, doing so in convincing fashion with a 27-17 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.
The Cardinals, who started 2-0, are now 3-5, while the Cowboys – blown out by the Denver Broncos last week – fell to 3-5-1 heading into their bye week.
All eyes were on the Cowboys entering this game after that brutal loss at Mile High, but the Cardinals also came into this game desperately needing a win to not only get the vibes high in the locker room again but keep the season afloat.
It was Jacoby Brissett once again starting for Arizona, as Kyler Murray remains out with his toe injury. Brissett, though, was the man for the job from the jump, and Marvin Harrison Jr. was his right-hand man.

The second-year receiver had a fantastic night, tallying seven catches and 96 yards in the first half with the game’s first touchdown on a beautiful release that left cornerback Da’Ron Bland flat-footed.
However, Dak Prescott and the Cowboys’ offense – averaging over 30 points per game this season – couldn’t find a rhythm against the Cardinals’ defense. They turned it over on downs on their opening drive and came away empty-handed.
After a Cowboys punt, Harrison’s touchdown made it 10-0, and tight end Jake Ferguson’s fumble in Arizona territory killed another promising Dallas drive. But the Cowboys’ special teams answered when Sam Williams blocked a punt that ricocheted off his helmet and rolled into the end zone, where Marshawn Kneeland recovered it for a touchdown.
Brissett and the Cardinals responded immediately, marching 74 yards in 11 plays before Brissett snuck one across at the goal line.
When the third quarter began, Michael Wilson immediately put the Cardinals in plus territory as he caught a ball from Brissett and ran 50 yards to Dallas’ 24-yard line. A few plays later, tight end Trey McBride made it 24-7 with a nice snag on the right side of the colored paint.

Dallas added a field goal, then Prescott connected with Ryan Flournoy for a short touchdown to cut the deficit to 10. Given how Arizona’s recent losses came down to one score, this one still felt far from over.
Dallas got another stop on defense, but it was the Cardinals’ defense that came away with a massive play during the ensuing drive. Prescott was blitzed and threw the ball immediately to running back Javonte Williams, who wasn’t ready for a Cardinals defender to hit him right away. During the tackle, the ball was ripped out of Williams’ arm and Akeem David-Gaither recovered it before it went out of bounds.
That play came with 4:46 left in the game, and just when it seemed like there was a chance for another epic collapse, Arizona finally came through with the play they needed.
In the box score, Brissett was 21-of-31 for 261 yards with two touchdown passes despite getting sacked five times by the Cowboys. McBride finished with five catches for 55 yards, while Emari Demercado led the way on the ground with 79 yards on 14 carries.

For Dallas, Javonte Williams totaled 83 yards on 15 carries, but turnovers doomed the offense. Prescott went 24-for-39 for 250 yards with one touchdown and one interception, the latter coming on the Cowboys’ final drive.
CeeDee Lamb finished with 85 yards on seven catches, while George Pickens added six receptions for 79 yards.
Leading up to Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been very vocal about being aggressive in trade discussions. It seems likely that the Cowboys will remain very active in trade talks all the way up to the deadline.
Right before the start of the season, Dallas made the blockbuster trade to send superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers. That was a shocking deal, but it brought in two extra first round picks and star defensive tackle Kenny Clark.
Now, with under 24 hours remaining to make a deal, the rumor mill is starting to pick up aggressively.
Keeping that in mind, the Cowboys have been connected to a potential trade to bring in a star safety. It has been very clear by the players connected to Dallas that Jones would like to upgrade the team’s defense.
Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report has suggested a trade for the Cowboys that would bring in Miami Dolphins star safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. In his trade proposal, Knox would have Fitzpatrick and a 2026 third-round pick heading to Dallas in exchange for a 2026 second-round pick and a 2026 fifth-round selection.
“Logically, that should mean adding a player who can aid Dallas’ 30th-ranked scoring defense,” Knox wrote. “Defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus would find a role for Fitzpatrick in Dallas’ secondary.”
Fitzpatrick is still a top safety in the NFL. At 28 years old, he could be a nice pickup for the Cowboys both this season and for the future potentially.
Throughout the course of the 2025 season with the Dolphins, Fitzpatrick has played in nine games. He has recorded 50 total tackles to go along with a fumble recovery, an interception, and five defended passes.
During his career, Fitzpatrick has been known to be a playmaker. He has totaled 21 interceptions and 59 defended passes in 115 career games. Those numbers would greatly strengthen the Dallas defense.
Of course, this is just an idea at this point in time. There is a chance that the Cowboys do not view Fitzpatrick as a target. But, it’s an idea that could make a ton of sense for Dallas.
Expect to hear a lot of rumors surrounding the Cowboys in the coming hours. Jones wants to be aggressive and trading for a player like Fitzpatrick would help the team accomplish that goal.
