  • Percy Jackson Season 3 Casts Dafne Keen to Play a Powerful Goddess

While fans continue to wait for the release of Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2, the series has already added some major players to the Season 3 cast. The Disney+ show recently took to social media to confirm the recruitment of Deadpool & Wolverine star Dafne Keen, as well as Saara Chaudry, while also revealing the characters they’ll be playing.

Dafne Keen will play Apollo’s twin sister in Percy Jackson Season 3

On August 21, Percy Jackson and the Olympians announced via an Instagram post that Dafne Keen and Saara Chaudry will be joining the series’ cast in Season 3.

The update featured images of the actresses, along with the caption, “Meet the newest stars ✨ to join #PercyJackson and the Olympians Season 3.” The post also included information regarding their roles in the show, disclosing that Keen will don the mantle of Artemis. Meanwhile, Chaudry, 21, will make her Percy Jackson debut in the third season as Zoë Nightshade.

Keen joins the cast of Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 as one of the 12 major gods that exist in the show’s universe. Notably, Artemis is the Goddess of the hunt and the Moon, and possesses a hoard of abilities, especially in the combat area. On the other hand, Chaudry’s Zoë Nightshade appears as the loyal lieutenant of Artemis in the Percy Jackson lore.

As such, Keen and Chaudry will make their maiden appearance in Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 alongside the previously announced Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie, who come into the cast as the children of Hades, namely, Nico and Bianca di Angelo. Confirmed earlier this year, the show’s third installment will follow Rick Riordan’s The Titan’s Curse novel.

While fans wait for more information on Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3, they can catch the second season, which adapts Riordan’s The Sea of Monsters and comes out on Disney+ on December 10, 2025.

  • Dafne Keen Wants to Return to X-23 for the Rest of Her Life

Dafne Keen Wants to Return to X-23 for the Rest of Her Life

Channing Tatum and Wesley Snipes aren’t the only Deadpool & Wolverine cast members to have voiced their interest in reprising their Marvel hero roles in the foreseeable future. Now, Laura Kinney actor Dafne Keen has declared her interest in playing the fan-favorite X-Men character for the rest of her life.

In an interview with Empire, Keen recounted her journey from portraying Kinney in 2017’s Logan to her not-so-surprising reprisal in Deadpool & Wolverine. Much like Tatum’s Gambit—who was recently revealed to have survived the film’s cataclysmic eventsKinney also made it out of Deadpool & Wolverine‘s final act to presumedly live a care-free life with Wade Wilson and Wolverine until Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars.

When asked whether she’d be game to reprise her role again, Keen took a page from Tatum’s book by emphasizing her resounding yes with the exuberant threat to unalive something for the opportunity.

“I would 100% do this for the rest of my life,” Keen told Empire. “She’s such a fun character to play emotionally, she’s so demanding physically, which is something I love doing. I’d kill to do it again.”

Seeing as Keen won’t be continuing her role as Jecki Lon (RIP) in Star Wars’ recently canceled Disney+ show, The Acolyte, chances are her schedule is more than freed up to chase the Disney bag in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now all that’s left is for Jennifer Garner to join the rest of the Deadpool & Wolverine cast by publicizing her willingness to slice and dice someone with her twin sai to reprise her role as Elektra in Daredevil: Born Again.

  • John Williams Wrote a Special Version of the Star Wars Theme for an Acolyte Star

John Williams Wrote a Special Version of the Star Wars Theme for an Acolyte Star

Amandla Stenberg as Mae in The Acolyte

Not only is Amandla Stenberg about to become one of the newest Force wielders in the Star Wars galaxy, they’re also about to blow your mind as a musician too.

The official Star Wars site just posted a beautiful new video of Stenberg, who stars in the upcoming The Acolyte, playing the violin, something they’ve been doing since childhood. But what’s special about this video though is that John Williams himself not only approved Stenberg to play the piece, he also wrote them a specific new version optimized for solo violin. Which basically means you’ve heard the Star Wars theme a billion times, but never quite like this. Check it out.

The Acolyte | Amandla & Her Violin | Streaming June 4 on Disney+

Well, that was amazing. And we’re hoping Stenberg is equally as amazing as Mae, their character on The Acolyte which is coming sooner than you think on June 4. Mae is described by the official Star Wars site as someone who “gets swept up into a sinister mystery—one that puts her into the center of a conflict in unexpected ways.” We imagine that will be expanded out mightily in the coming months.

As for Williams, as far as we know, his music isn’t in The Acolyte (the composer for the show is Get Out’s Michael Abels), but hopefully, we get a theme here and there. The show, which co-stars Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, and Carrie-Anne Moss, premieres with two episodes on June 4. Are you as excited as we are?
