  • Mom of Bothell woman found dead increases reward to $6K for answers

    [ad_1]

The body of a Bothell woman who went missing back in June was found in Mason County this September. Now, her mom is hoping a new reward will lead to an arrest in her case and bring answers as to what happened to her daughter.

FOX 13 met with Denise Barbour at a park in Lynnwood where she used to bring her daughter Mallory. “It’s good that it does hold memories, but it’s painful,” Barbour said.

She is reminded of the times when she and Mallory would feed the ducks at the end of the dock. “That was kind of our tradition,” Barbour said. “She would be on there, enjoying running around, playing on that playground equipment.”

The playground is still there, but sadly, her daughter is not.

    The backstory:

On Sept. 15, the Mason County Sheriff’s Office found the 27-year-old’s body in the woods near State Route 3 and Pickering Road, about 120 miles away from her home in Bothell. She was last seen alive leaving her home on June 24.

“It’s stressful, I feel like I’m still in a fog,” Barbour said. She told FOX 13, it’s scary and frustrating because her daughter’s killer is still out there. “We’re working against the clock now, so with every day that goes by its another day that in this case we have not found the murderer,” Barbour said.

She’s also concerned that whoever is behind her daughter’s murder, could do this again. Which is why she’s now increased the reward to $6,000 for any information that leads to an arrest.

    What they’re saying:

Until that happens, she’s left missing her daughter, especially the potential of what could have been. “Just knowing that she would have a life that would be enriched, that she would be happy and be able to work in our community, have a partner, maybe even grandkids,” Barbour said. Now, that’s been taken away.

“She was a great person, she doesn’t deserve this, she did nothing wrong, and she was just in a bad place at a bad time,” Barbour said.

    [ad_1]

    The backstory:

Two 16-year-olds arranged to meet the suspect to buy marijuana and alcohol off him, however a fight broke out when the two realized the boy only brought the marijuana and did not have any alcohol to sell them, according to a Friday statement from the Kitsap County Sheriff.

The connection was reportedly arranged on the social networking app Snapchat and went down at a convenience store on Southeast Lund Avenue in Port Orchard.

During the altercation, deputies say the 15-year-old stabbed one of the 16-year-olds in the chest. The victim was then transported to an area hospital in Tacoma and expected to recover from his injuries.

  • Police chase ends in Reseda, at least two in custody

    [ad_1]

An hour-long police chase ended in the San Fernando Valley neighborhood of Reseda

SkyFOX picked up the chase around 2:30 p.m. in the Mid-City area.

The vehicle is believed to be stolen.

    Timeline:

SkyFOX was over the vehicle as it drove on surface streets through Koreatown. It appeared the car had some damage to its front bumper.

The driver continued on surface streets, dodging passing cars and ignoring street signs.

They made their way back to Mid-City then Beverly Hills, driving at high speeds and even on the opposite side of the road at times.

The suspect eventually entered the northbound 405 Freeway in the West LA area. They exited the freeway at Burbank Blvd. in Sherman Oaks and continued driving on Sepulveda Blvd.

They drove through Van Nuys and Reseda. But the chase came to an end around 3:26 p.m. when the suspect went up a curb, just inches away from a fence at a home at the intersection of Hesperia Ave. and Vanowen St. in Reseda. Two people immediately exited the car and fled.

One of the suspects ran into an alley and attempted to jump a fence, but police immediately pulled their vehicle next to the suspect, blocking them from leaving. That person was taken into custody. Near the suspect’s vehicle, police apprehended another suspect. Images from SkyFOX also showed a woman being taken into custody; her role in the chase is unknown.

  • 4 dead, 11 injured after suspect crashes into crowd outside Ybor City business

    [ad_1]

Four people are dead and 11 are injured after a man crashed into an Ybor City business early Saturday morning, according to officers.

The Tampa Police Department said they arrested Silas Sampson, 22, on multiple charges after the massive deadly crash.

READ: Woman dead after hit-and-run crash in Publix parking lot in St. Pete, driver arrested

    What we know:

Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw says this began at 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning when officers spotted two vehicles racing near Hanna Avenue and Nebraska Avenue in Tampa. They proceeded westbound on Hillsborough Avenue when one of the vehicles drove onto I-275 Southbound.

TPD’s air unit tracked it as it then exited downtown. Florida Highway Patrol troopers joined in and tracked the vehicle to Nebraska Avenue and Palm Avenue, where they attempted a PIT maneuver.

The vehicle then proceeded down busy 7th Avenue, and ultimately lost control of the car and crashed into a business, hitting more than a dozen people who were outside.

Three pedestrians were pronounced dead at the scene, and a fourth victim died at a hospital, according to TPD. Bercaw says 11 other people suffered injuries, some severe. All the victims were adults over the age of 20.

“This morning we had a tragic incident where at least four victims senselessly lost their lives and eleven others were injured as a result of a careless, reckless driver,” Bercaw said.

Sampson was arrested and will be charged with four counts of vehicular homicide and four counts of aggravated fleeing to elude with serious bodily injuries.

    What they’re saying:

Witnesses were left stunned by the scene that unfolded in the early morning hours of Saturday.

“Just came here to have a nice cigar and relax a little bit with some friends and was on my way home. Got a little hungry, wanted to get a slice of pizza — went over to New York, New York. After I did it, turned around, and here comes the car,” Howard Hopkins, a witness to the crash, said. “Jumps the curb, hits the corner of the building, then comes into Bradley’s patio and just runs right through people… tables went everywhere, chairs went everywhere, bodies went everywhere — it was pretty bad.”

Hopkins says officers naerby ran straight toward the wreckage.

“They smashed out the window, they got him out, they subdued him, they cuffed him up and took him away. But during that same time, you know, people were screaming — they had to put up the crime-scene tape,” he said.

Tampa Mayor Jane Castor also released a statement on social media about the crash:

“What happened in Ybor City last night was devastating. Families are grieving, first responders are hurting, and our entire city feels this loss. My thoughts are with everyone affected. The investigation into this crash is ongoing, and we are working to get answers. Keeping our community safe will always be my top priority, and that commitment only deepens in moments like this.”

    What’s next:

Tampa police closed off 7th Avenue between 15th and 18th Streets as they investigated, but say they are working to reopen it.

  • Suspects sought in Everett Halloween hit-and-run

    [ad_1]

Snohomish County deputies are asking for the public’s help to identify the masked driver responsible for hitting a man on Halloween, and then driving away.

    The backstory:

The crash happened Halloween night on 58th Avenue Southeast in Everett, in a neighborhood near Larimers Corner.

Surveillance photos captured the suspect’s truck, which allegedly hit and ran over a 47-year-old man before fleeing the scene.

Another victim reportedly held onto the truck bed and was dragged down the road, suffering minor injuries.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office says the same car and people inside were later captured wearing masks and stealing bowls of candy left out on porches.

Deputies believe the car is a dark red Ford F-150, possibly a 2015 model or newer.

  • WA officials, feds to discuss ‘crisis’ of missing, murdered Indigenous persons

    [ad_1]

In Washington state, Indigenous people make up about 3% of the population, but account for more than 7% of the missing persons lists maintained by Washington State Patrol (WSP).

Local, state, federal, and tribal leaders said the rate of Indigenous people reported as missing or murdered is at a crisis level nationally.

“Native Americans are Washingtonians, and their lives are at risk. And we as Washingtonians should be stepping forward to protect every one of us,” said State Rep. Debra Lekanoff of the 40th legislative district.

    By the numbers:

Washington State Patrol said there are currently 110 Indigenous persons listed as missing in the state, which is likely an undercount as race profiles are often incomplete or mislabeled.

The Muckleshoot Indian Tribe is hosting the second National Missing & Murdered Indigenous People Coordinator Gathering, November 5–7. 60 leaders from 13 states will hold meetings in Auburn at Muckleshoot’s community center and resort. Those in attendance include members of government, law enforcement agencies, advocacy groups, tribal nations, and the courts.

“Ultimately, we are responsible to our communities. And, the better we’re networked together, the better we have relationships at all different levels of government and cross-government,” said Samuel White, chief of police with the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe.

The groups are collaborating on how to improve communication networks, response strategies, and family services when their tribal member is reported missing or murdered. They’re also reviewing current trends, challenges, and investigative practices in hopes of developing greater coordination in intervention, prevention, education, and advocacy to save more lives.

    What they’re saying:

“We all come together collectively to create a response that we’re all doing. This way, we decrease and minimize these opportunities for these challenges and barriers of missing, murdered, any form of violence and victimization,” said Valaura Imus-Nahsonhoya, the MMIP Program Coordinator for the Arizona Governor’s Office on Tribal Relations.

Imus-Nahsonhoya helped launch the inaugural National Missing & Murdered Indigenous People Coordinator Gathering in 2024, hosted in Arizona. She said the goal is to continue these discussions regularly throughout the country in hopes of sharing and expanding life-saving resources.

Imus-Nahsonhoya said she has dedicated at least 20 years to this work.

“Our families and survivors telling me what went wrong in their cases, who didn’t respond, who responded, what services were provided to them, and what services they did not know about. So, it’s their voice that guides me,” said Imus-Nahsonhoya.

For her, she has a deeper personal connection to this effort.

“I do this work, honestly, because of my brother, who was also murdered. I do this work because of my niece, my nephews, his children, who are continuing to grieve with no answer,” Imus-Nahsonhoya.

In Washington state, the crisis continues gaining the attention and resources it deserves.

    Big picture view:

“Washington state knew there was a crisis with missing and murdered Indigenous people. I think we just needed the right people at the table beginning to develop policies, regulations, and investing in Washington state to bring this crisis forward,” said Lekanoff, who helped launch the state’s Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and People (MMIWP) Task Force.

In 2018, the state passed legislation creating two tribal liaison positions in the Washington State Patrol. In 2019, WSP began keeping a list of Missing Indigenous Persons. Troopers explained the list is updated every two weeks and distributed to statewide  law enforcement.

White said he has noticed improvements in the partnerships with local, state, and federal law enforcement. He said he’d like to see continued education opportunities within the community and law enforcement.

“The end result is we’re having better cases, earlier reported cases, families are getting the services they need, and able to help out in a way that they can, help and understand where the case is at, and have that trust that law enforcement is doing the job that it’s there to do,” said White.

Washington also led the nation with the launch of the Missing Indigenous Person Alert (MIPA) system in 2022. Since its inception, WSP said 194 alerts have gone out to the public, with several of those alerts leading directly to information that assisted in recovery or resolution of the case.

    The other side:

For White, he said the systems and services worked for his family.

“It’s my cousin. My second cousin. Her daughter went missing,” said White. “It was great satisfaction to be able to bring her home. It was because we were able to put the family in touch with people that could help and with social media, with the media on TV, with the FBI going out and checking surveillance cameras when we had sightings. Knowing who to call when that happened, to be able to reach out to other state agencies and have them check certain houses. It was all the relationships that allowed that to happen. It worked. We had enough pressure out there that it worked, and I really felt like we’re getting something done here.”

In 2023, the Washington Legislature created and funded the MMIWP Cold Case Investigations Unit (MMIWP CCU) within the Attorney General’s Office. The state patrol said the CCU team was created to review and attempt to solve missing person and cold homicide cases involving persons of Indigenous ancestry.

WSP said, currently, the unit has 25 active investigations related to unsolved murders and suspicious missing person cases. WSP said the CCU has assisted in locating more than 20 missing Indigenous persons.

“We have saved lives, we have brought families together, we have saved a community from suffering the loss of generations of women. I have had the pleasure of welcoming home members who we thought we have lost,” said Lekanoff.

Though the collaborative efforts have proven successful, leaders and representatives said they want to see continued expansion of services to better protect their people.

“Trying to bridge those gaps between community and the trust in law enforcement, trying to bridge that so that we have successful outcomes in cases and can bring answers to families in a way that they trust law enforcement in the long term,” said White.

“Every Washingtonian deserves to feel like they are living in a safe place where their life matters,” said Lekanoff.

  • King County grandmother shot at ATM prepares to face gunman in court

    [ad_1]

A 67-year-old King County grandmother shot during an attempted robbery at an ATM wants you to see what happened to her as a warning to always be on alert when using the machine.

She’s preparing to face the shooter in court when he’s sentenced on Friday.

“How painful is this right now, walking? Umm… it’s painful,” Tina Rothert told FOX 13 Seattle when we met her at that very ATM this week. “Right here is one bullet wound, there’s another bullet wound. I have another here […] I have eight wounds because of entry and exit, plus one of the bullets that struck my leg broke my femur and fragmented. So, some of the fragments came out.”

It’s been 19 months since Rothert was shot three times during a robbery attempt, twice in her left thigh and once in her stomach.

She’s in physical therapy twice a week.

“I can’t walk very far without the use of an aid, a little bit more than I was six months ago, but very limited,” said Rothert.

    Grandmother shot during ATM robbery

    The backstory:

On April 5, 2024, Rothert stopped at the ATM in Covington, Washington to deposit a check. She had just put her card in the machine when two 20-year-olds, Tryse Phommavongxay and Kolby Delamar, approached her.

“They said, ‘Take $1,000 out of the machine. You’re going to give me $1,000 right now.’ And I said, ‘I can’t take $1,000,’” Tina recalled.

Tina said she tried to explain to Tryse that her bank has a limit on withdrawals.

“He was having no part of it. He says, ‘I know you can, and you’re gonna do it right now,’” Tina recalled, “and I said, ‘No, I can’t.’ And he shoved me out of the way.”

    Delamar held her at gunpoint.

“And somehow, somewhere, I managed to yell, ‘Help me.’ Don’t ask me how, I just know it came out. And as soon as I said that, he turned. And fired,” said Rothert. “I think he was just angry because he didn’t get the money and things didn’t go the way he wanted and he was mad. It was very obvious he was angry.”

Tina fell back to the ground, and the ATM camera shows Tryse jump at the sound of gunfire and the two of them race away. They took off in a silver Nissan Sentra.

A nearby store worker heard the gunfire and raced to help stop the bleeding.

Rothert’s 10-year-old granddaughter was in the car and saw everything.

    The other side:

“I know that Haylee has got some serious anxiety with all of this,” said Rothert.

Rothert said she had not returned to the ATM since the shooting, and being back was a strange feeling.

“My back is to the ATM, but I have also been doing physical therapy right down there for the last 19 months,” said Rothert. “So it’s what my therapist calls, you know, ‘conditional exposure,’ which helps you get over some of the trauma.”

Tina’s path to recovery has been paved with pain and post-traumatic stress disorder.

“Fireworks, cars backfiring, popping balloons — Fourth of July was two weeks of hell, for lack of a better word,” said Rothert.

King County Sheriff’s detectives were able to get a license plate number for the suspects’ car, which they learned belonged to Tryse — and led to the arrest of both suspects. Tina says she believes Tryse is remorseful. He pleaded guilty to rendering criminal assistance and was sentenced in August to a year in custody. Delamar pleaded guilty to first-degree assault and first-degree attempted robbery.

We asked Rothert if she believes Delamar’s plea deal for 12 years in prison feels like justice. She says ‘no.’

    So why settle, then?

“Because I need this over, I need to get it. We’re looking at 19 months with a deal. We aren’t even close to going to trial. How long would that be? And do I want to look at him every day, [and] for how long?” Tina explained. “I was 10 feet away from him maybe at the plea hearing, and that was very unnerving for me. I don’t want to see him anymore. I want this over. I need to be able to move on with my life, and get this behind me.”

Tina is planning to give a five-page victim impact statement at Delamar’s sentencing on Friday.

    Why you should care:

“I have a lot to say. I want them to know that, no matter how horrible your childhood is, these kind of crimes are not excusable. I want to tell them that this federal youthful offender consideration law is not something that is helping, it is enabling. And until[…] These criminals, especially of violent crimes, start getting held accountable for their actions. Things are not going to change. They’re going to continue to get worse. And if that gun was just supposed to be a scare tactic, it shouldn’t have had any bullets in it.”

She’s also hoping her message sinks in with the courts that victim’s rights should come first. She’s already been told that Kolby will have numerous speakers pleading for leniency.

“The defendant has pled [sic] guilty to both felonies. However, he gets the same amount of court time on Friday that I do, and that makes no sense to me, because why does his team need to speak if he’s already pled [sic] guilty?” Rothert asked. “Why do they need the same amount of time that I do? It’s not fair.”

Tina will have her own group of supporters there as well. She says she will never use any ATM again, and wants what happened to her to serve as a warning to others.

“I have used that machine for more years than I can count, more times than I count. Never thought twice about it,” said Rothert. “Clearly now you do have to think twice about it, doesn’t matter what kind of neighborhood you’re in.”

    What’s next:

FOX 13 Seattle will be at the sentencing hearing on friday and we will bring you details and the judge’s decision on his sentence.

  • Mom seeks justice after son was killed in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood

    [ad_1]

Standing near the intersection of 10th and Pike, where Michelle Reese lost her son Robert Fleeks Jr. more than a month ago, she told FOX 13 that she could still feel his presence.

“Last week I came up here and I prayed,” Reese said.

    The backstory:

On Sept. 17, the 26-year-old was shot in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, then later died at the hospital, according to Seattle Police. Reese said her son was in the area getting pizza when that happened.

“I’m emotional, I’m upset, I’m also grateful to God but at the same time, I’m definitely grieving and hurt,” Reese said.

    Michelle Reese and her son

She added, there are four people suspected of being involved in her son’s murder, but more than a month later, she says there are still no arrests.

“It’s very unsettling, and it doesn’t make me feel safe, it doesn’t make my family feel safe,” Reese said.

As she waits for answers, Reese remembers the happier times. “He had a smile that would really light up the room,” Reese said.

    Robert and his unborn child

She’s also looking toward the future, as her son was expecting a child. It will be a moment that he sadly will miss.

“He’s full of love, very much a leader,” Reese said. In the meantime, all she wants is justice for her first-born son.

“My son, he is a human, he is a person, he belongs to a whole bunch of family, he is connected, no one deserves to lose their life for no reason at all,” Reese said.

  • Human remains found in Snohomish County, WA identified as missing Tulalip woman

    [ad_1]

A set of human remains found in a remote area of north Snohomish County earlier this year belonged to a missing Tulalip woman, according to the FBI.

The DNA of the remains matched that of Mary Johnson (Davis), who disappeared from the Tulalip Reservation back on November 25, 2020.

Johnson was last seen walking on Firetrail Road, traveling to a friend’s house, but never arrived.

    What they’re saying:

“With deep respect for the family and Tulalip community, the Tulalip Police Department is heartbroken to confirm that human remains have been positively identified as Mary Johnson-Davis, a member of the Tulalip Tribes of Washington,” said Shawn V. Ledford, Chief of the Tulalip Police Department. “Identification was confirmed through DNA analysis conducted by a forensic laboratory, and next of kin have been notified. This case remains an active and ongoing investigation, and the Tulalip Police Department will continue to work in partnership with the family and the FBI. Mary’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the community for their assistance and compassion throughout the past five years of searching for Mary, which ultimately led to her being found. We extend our prayers, strength, and healing to Mary’s family, loved ones, and the entire Tulalip community during this difficult time.”

The Tulalip Tribes and FBI are offering a reward of up to $60,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person(s) responsible for Mary Johnson’s disappearance. Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI’s Seattle Field Office at 206-622-0460, 1-800-CALL-FBI (225-5324), or tips.fbi.gov.

“When the FBI is called to investigate a missing indigenous person, we understand the importance of the case for the victim’s loved ones and communities,” said W. Mike Herrington, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Seattle field office. “Every victim leaves a space in that community which cannot be filled. We recognize the process can be lengthy and frustrating, but we assure everyone the FBI and our partners are doing everything we can. FBI Seattle is committed to our relationships with all of Washington’s communities, including our state’s 29 federally recognized tribes, and we will never stop pursuing justice for victims, no matter how long it takes.”

    The investigation is ongoing.

“We recognize that the past five years have been incredibly difficult and painful for Mary’s family as well as our neighbors and partners at the Tulalip Police Department, the entire community, and the staff who have worked tirelessly to find her,” said Snohomish County Sheriff Susanna Johnson. “We hope the recovery brings us one step closer to finding the truth about what happened to Mary. I want to extend my personal condolences to Mary’s entire family and to the Tulalip Tribes, and express our deep appreciation to community members whose initial reporting led to the discovery and identification of her remains.”

“The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office plays an important role in helping identify unknown remains and hopefully provide some small measure of closure for grieving families and communities,” said SCMEO Operations Manager Nicole Krueger. “It has taken five challenging years to reach this point in the investigation. More than four months ago, when unknown human skeletal remains were recovered, our office provided a sample to the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center to obtain a DNA profile. We were recently notified of a positive CODIS match to the Tulalip Tribes Missing Person Mary Ellen Johnson (Davis) of Tulalip, WA. The cause and manner of death are undetermined pending further investigation.”

  • Man arrested for online threats against WA Gov. Bob Ferguson

    [ad_1]

A Lakewood man was arrested for making “veiled threats” against Washington Governor Bob Ferguson on social media, posting pictures of Ferguson’s front door, his home address, and a modified gun.

    The backstory:

Over the course of about two years, 34-year-old Casey Patterson would post replies to many of Governor Ferguson’s posts on X, formerly known as Twitter.

According to court documents, not all of Patterson’s post replies on X were threatening, however most included insults directed at the governor or had malicious implications.

Patterson was previously contacted by law enforcement in March 2024 after repeatedly posting the same photo of the front door of Ferguson’s home. One of the posts said, in part, “Here’s a picture of a quaint front door to help you sleep at night.” In another, he writes, “Let me know if you’d like to meet in person to answer some questions.”

Authorities believe Patterson personally took photos outside Ferguson’s home sometime between July 2023 and February 2024, including the front door picture he kept posting.

After Washington State Patrol (WSP) had a phone conversation with Patterson, he didn’t post on any of Ferguson’s accounts again until November, after Ferguson was elected governor of Washington.

Over the course of 2025, Patterson continued posting the same picture of Ferguson’s front door, as well as listing the governor’s home address multiple times.

Patterson also allegedly posted a picture of an AR-15 rifle with a suppressor and a 60-round drum magazine, writing, “What kind of magazines does your PSD (personal security detail) use that I pay for? By the way, eat s–t, loser.”

Patterson’s replies to Ferguson also included statements like, “We have more guns than you,” “we know where you live,” and, “Some of us are a lot more capable of violence than you are.”

WSP states Patterson showed a recent escalation in his posts and replies, worried that a court order could move him towards physical violence.

“Based on the totality of evidence, Patterson’s repeated posts, imagery, and statements directed at Governor Ferguson appear to constitute a credible threat intended to cause fear and potential harm,” court documents state.

Patterson was arrested and charged with intimidating a public servant and threats against the governor or his family. He is currently being held in Pierce County Jail on $200,000 bail.

  • FBI: Possible Halloween weekend terror attack averted, multiple suspects arrested in Michigan

    [ad_1]

A possible terrorist attack planned for Halloween weekend was thwarted by authorities, according to FBI Director Kash Patel.

Patel said Friday morning on X that multiple suspects were arrested in Michigan in connection with this plot.

According to Patel, these suspects “were allegedly plotting a violent attack over Halloween weekend.”

    What we don’t know:

It is unclear where the suspects were planning the attack. Information being spread on social media references a possible attack at Warren’s TACOM, but that is an old story about a suspect who was arrested and charged in the spring.

The FBI in Detroit said agents were present in Dearborn and Inkster early Friday, but could not confirm if this was related to the terror attack plot referenced by Patel.

FBI agents and Michigan State Police on Middlepointe in Dearborn on Oct. 31, 2025

Dearborn police also confirmed that the FBI conducted an operation in the city. Police said there is no threat to the community.

    What’s next:

Patel said more details are expected later.

  • ‘Buddy’ the dog missing after being stolen by 17-time convicted felon neighbor

    [ad_1]

A Seattle dog owner is pleading for the public’s help to find her beloved family pet after he was stolen by a 17-time convicted felon.

Buddy, a three-year-old “micro bully” dog, escaped his owner’s yard back in July.

One of the owner’s neighbors snagged Buddy and told another neighbor that he would give him back, according to police.

But, the neighbor never did, and he even denied having Buddy in the first place.

“It’s like having a family member kidnapped. I cared for that dog, like it’s my baby. He was very loving because he was loved. My family, they miss him. They always are asking for updates. Each time I talk about it it’s like opening that wound again like the first day he was taken,” said Feshea Black, Buddy’s owner.

Seattle police arrested the neighbor while investigating a different crime. He was identified as Jose Antonio Haughton, who they say is a 17-time convicted felon.

Prosecutors say during the investigation, police obtained surveillance video of Haughton’s home, and Buddy could be seen inside his home.

Video also captured Haughton wrapping Buddy in a blanket and stuffing him in a car.

    Buddy in Haughton's home

Haughton has been charged with felony theft in this case, which he pleaded not guilty to.

Prosecutors say their case against Haughton is strong, but they just want to find Buddy, who remains missing.

“We hope that someone sees that picture and I think everyone involved wants that dog to come home safely,” said Casey McNerthey, with the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

The owner says someone might have Buddy, not knowing he is stolen. If you see Buddy or have any information on his whereabouts, you are asked to call 911.
