NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Kathy Griffin revealed the jaw-dropping price tag of her third facelift at age 65.

“What I love about my D-List life is, I went to Kris Jenner’s last guy,” she said on the “Good Guys” podcast. “Not the million ponytail … where they pull your whole face up … that’s what Kris got. But I went to her last guy.

“It was not cheap,” she told hosts Josh Peck and Ben Soffer. “You ready? $218,000.”

“Do you know how many d— jokes I have to tell for $218,000? I have to do at least two shows,” Griffin joked.

A “ponytail facelift” in plastic surgery refers to a cosmetic procedure that mimics how a person would look when the hair is in a ponytail; the minimally invasive surgery creates a lifted and tightened effect on the face.

Earlier in the episode, Griffin claimed there are multiple plastic surgeons in Beverly Hills who are charging as much as $1 million per facelift.

“I’m just such a money person. I can’t bring myself to do it,” she said of the staggering price tag.

Griffin revealed she had gone under the knife for her third facelift in August.

“It’s my third. I know that’s so vain! I’m so vain for no reason,” she said during an episode of her own podcast, “Talk Your Head Off.” “No one has ever gone to a Kathy Griffin show to see her beautiful, youthful face.”

Griffin revealed some of the popular procedures she’s done, including an “upper eye job.” Her blepharoplasty reportedly featured a “cat eye stitch” to give a lift at the corner.

“There’s a stitch in my chin, which you’re probably not going to see unless you’re under me, but not in that way,” she quipped.

During her appearance on the “Good Guys” podcast, Griffin spoke about feeling pressure to have cosmetic work done as a female in comedy.

“I actually think when you’re a chick comedian, they just go for your looks,” she said. “I think that’s probably why Joan [Rivers] did so much. Because she was really pretty.

“I’m from a generation where these agents thought nothing back in the day of saying stuff like, ‘Yeah, they loved your audition, but they’re going to go attractive, sorry.’ Or ‘With a nose job, you might have a chance.’ So, I went and got a nose job.”

  • Gruber Plastic Surgery’s Guide: Choosing the Right Cosmetic Procedure for Best Results

Gruber Plastic Surgery’s Guide: Choosing the Right Cosmetic Procedure for Best Results

Dr. Meegan Gruber offers patients a complete consultation to help them make the ideal decision.

Anyone exploring the best cosmetic procedure should look for a surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), which reflects extensive training and expert guidance in complex plastic surgery-specific procedures. Dr. Meegan Gruber, Ph.D., a leading board-certified plastic surgeon with Gruber Plastic Surgery and renowned for her expertise in awake surgeries, offers a patient-centric approach, a deep commitment to education and a belief that trust between patients and their surgeons is the cornerstone of successful cosmetic procedures.

“A major part of what I do involves understanding my patients’ vision for their appearance,” said Dr. Gruber, star of TLC’s Awake Surgery. “Patients need to feel comfortable enough to express their goals without apprehension or feeling judged. It’s often hard to put into words exactly what they are looking for, so they count on me to find that vision and create a plan to bring it to life.”

Dr. Gruber listens and connects with her patients to establish trust and outline all available options, including non-surgical alternatives and cosmetic surgery procedures. She has their best interests at heart and is committed to delivering safe, effective results.

“While I don’t dwell on board certification during consultations, it’s essential for patients to know that plastic surgery training is rigorous, involving a minimum of five years of general and specialty training,” she said. “This extensive training equips real plastic surgeons to perform well-tested techniques and innovate based on that knowledge, ensuring safety and quality.”

During consultations, Dr. Gruber provides detailed explanations, showcases before-and-after photos or uses artistically drawn illustrations to give patients an idea of possible results. This personalized guidance helps patients make decisions that align with their goals and expectations, leading to better outcomes.

Enhancing Patient Outcomes with Awake Surgery

Dr. Gruber’s expertise in awake surgeries includes shorter recovery periods and increased patient comfort. “I’ve had patients fly back home the next day after surgery and return to work within a week,” she said. “The recovery process, which typically takes several weeks after general anesthesia, is often just a few days with an awake surgery.”

Dr. Gruber ensures patient comfort and satisfaction through active engagement during the procedure. Her unique “tapping method” helps distract and calm patients during surgery, making the experience as comfortable as possible. “Because patients are awake, they are able to look at themselves in the mirror during surgery,” she said.

This interactive approach ensures that patients are actively involved in their treatment. Patients can ask questions such as, “Do you have privileges to perform this operation in a hospital? And at which hospital?” It may be tempting to get cheap operations from unqualified doctors, but the dangers are high and often irreversible.

“When it comes to your health and appearance, you owe it to yourself to choose quality over cost,” said Dr. Gruber. “An experienced, credentialed surgeon who prioritizes patient safety is essential.”

  • Cardi B Reacts To Body-Shamer Who Criticized Her Post-Surgery Gym Videos

Cardi B Reacts To Body-Shamer Who Criticized Her Post-Surgery Gym Videos

Cardi B blasted a social media user who condemned her for posting a workout video and “acting like” she exercises after undergoing cosmetic alterations.

“I hate influencers who do this get all the surgery acting like they really be in the gym when really if they gain more weight they will just get surgery again smh,” the commenter tweeted on Tuesday.

In the clip uploaded by Cardi, the “Bongos” musician, 31, is seen in a gym showing off her curves in a pair of skin-tight green leggings.

Cardi quickly responded to the critic less than an hour later to explain that she has to “maintain” her physique despite her procedures.

“How vocal have I been about my procedures??? The thing is I don’t gain weight much so I’m trying to gain MUSCLE cuz it’s hard for me to maintain fat. Also there’s this thing called visceral fat…It’s fat that grows under the muscle and you can’t lipo it only thing you can do is work it out!” she wrote back.

The “Hustlers” star added: “THATS WHY YOU SEE POUCHES ON LIPO GIRLS. YOU HAVE TO MAINTAIN IT!”.

Cardi’s fans stepped in to defend the New York rapper in her comments section.

Visceral fat can be challenging to remove as it “lies out of reach, beneath the firm abdominal wall,” according to Harvard Medical School.

Cardi hasn’t shied away from getting candid about her multiple cosmetic procedures, including teeth veneers, butt injections, a nose job and a breast augmentation after the birth of her daughter, Kulture.

Appearing in Interview’s March 2021 cover story, the former reality star opened up about feeling “so vindicated” after going under the knife.

“Even when I was 18 and became a dancer, I had enough money to afford to buy boobs, so every insecurity that I felt about my breasts was gone,” she shared. “When I was 20, I went to the urban strip club, and in the urban strip clubs, you had to have a big butt. So I felt insecure about that. It took me back to high school. So I got my ass done. And then I felt super confident.”

But the star also issued a stern warning to her fans about the dangers of surgery while previously discussing the “crazy process” she went through to remove the illegal silicone shots that she got in a basement in 2014.

“In August I got surgery and I removed 95% of my biopolymers… if you don’t know what it is, it’s ass shots. It was a really crazy process,” Cardi B said last year.

She added: “All I’m going to say is that if you’re young, if you’re 19, 20, 21, and sometimes you’re too skinny, and you be like, ‘OMG I don’t have enough fat to put in my ass,’ so you result to ass shots, DON’T!”

  • Late ‘Wild ‘N Out’ Star Jacky Oh’s Cause Of Death Revealed

Late ‘Wild ‘N Out’ Star Jacky Oh’s Cause Of Death Revealed

The cause of death for “Wild ’N Out” star Jacky Oh has officially been disclosed.

The late actor had established herself as a popular talent on BET’s rap battle show but died suddenly at 32 on May 31. The Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner has now completed an autopsy report that gives mourning friends, fans and relatives some answers.

The document obtained by the Los Angeles Times and multiple other outlets Friday revealed Jacky Oh, whose real name was Jacklyn Smith, died accidentally as a result of complications from cosmetic surgery from “gluteal augmentation” in Miami one day earlier.

The popular “BBL,” or Brazilian butt lift, procedure of liposuction and fat transfer from one area of the body to the buttocks concluded without complication, according to the report.

The autopsy showed Jacky Oh was given several post-surgery medications — ciprofloxacin, oxycodone and ondansetron for potential infection, pain and nausea, respectively.

On May 31, a nurse advised her to stop the ondansetron and take ibuprofen for a headache that she said was worsening. She “began to feel like her head was burning” and had “difficulty speaking,” according to the report, prompting Jacky Oh’s aunt, who had traveled to Miami with her, to call 911.

Jacky Oh was found unresponsive in her hotel room when emergency services arrived. She was pronounced dead at Mercy Hospital. The autopsy revealed she had swelling in her brain as well as bleeding of the skin in the torso area when she died.

Jacky Oh is survived by D.C. Young Fly, her former “Wild ’N Out” co-star, and their three children.

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jacklyn Smith, known to the world as Jacky Oh, a talented Wild ’N Out family member whose impact will be forever treasured and missed,” BET Media Group said in an Instagram statement at the time.

Ex-rapper Azealia Banks, however – who previously appeared on “Wild ’N Out” – claimed Jacky Oh’s death was karmic retribution for Young Fly’s jokes about her at the time. The musician, who previously espoused the virtues of sacrificing chickens, was widely slammed.

Jacky Oh and Young Fly began dating in 2015 and had their first child in 2017. She told DJ Smallz Eyes in an interview at the time that she felt pressure to “snap back” after giving birth, and recalled looking in the mirror and thinking: “I need to lose some damn weight.”

Jacky Oh was buried in June at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, according to the LA Times. Young Fly, whose real name is John Whitfield, eulogized his late partner at the memorial before releasing doves into the sky in her honor.

Botched: Is a Tummy Tuck Worth the Risk?

For the first time, 18 months after a surgery that could have ended her life, Quanna shares her story with Dr. Baker of Embodied State of Mind in the aim of helping others considering Abdominoplasty.

    Press Release

    updated: Jan 17, 2017

Surveys indicate that 87% of US women1, which equates to a staggering 109 million women2, are unhappy with their body. Each year, 1.4 million undergo invasive cosmetic surgery3 in an attempt to correct perceived flaws. Of these, 128,000 opt for abdominoplasty3 (also known as tummy tucks); a procedure that comes with higher risk of major complications4 than any other cosmetic plastic surgery procedures. Eighteen months after surgery, Quanna shares her story to inspire and help others who may be considering abdominoplasty.

From the outside, Quanna is a bubbly warm person that oozes confidence and beauty. You would never know she previously had a tummy tuck that resulted in severe scarring. The scarring was caused by an infection that developed post-op that resulted in the skin on her abdomen separating from her body. Since her initial surgery, Quanna has spent over 50 days in hospital due to multiple complications and undergone many more procedures – all the while, the surgeon who had performed her abdominoplasty had ‘left town’ and refused to return multiple calls from the hospital staff. “He just… left me for dead.”

Despite her terrifying experience that could have ended her life, Quanna lives her life to the fullest and encourages others to do the same. Proud mother of 2 children, she is currently 5-months pregnant with her third child.

In her interview with Dr. Lucie Baker, founder of Embodied State of Mind, Quanna shares details of her life over the past 18 months as she suffered horrific pain and complications post-surgery. She also talks of her experience being pregnant with a botched tummy tuck as well as the challenges she still faces with reconstructive surgery in the future. Her aim is not to tell others not to undergo surgery but to raise their awareness of the risks and ask them to consider: “Is it really worth it?”

About Embodied State of Mind: Embodied State of Mind, LLC (http://embodiedstateofmind.com/) is a New York based Start-up, which aims to heal men and women’s relationship with their body and lead a happier, healthier and more fulfilling life.
