  • Coronation Street follow-up: As Debbie goes to prison, spoilers reveal two huge soap stars cast as fellow prisoners

Coronation Street delivered a huge twist in tonight’s episode (Wednesday, February 4) as Carl Webster dropped a brutal bombshell on Debbie Webster – telling her he wanted to see her go to prison.

The shock came after Debbie finally confessed the truth Carl had never known – she isn’t his aunt at all, but his biological mum. And as if that family fallout wasn’t explosive enough, it now looks like Carl’s grim wish is about to come true – with two familiar soap faces set to join Debbie in Weatherfield prison.

Carl turns on Debbie after huge Coronation Street revelation

Earlier in the episode, Ronnie opened up to Carl about his fears for Debbie’s health. He worried that her symptoms could worsen if she ended up in prison.

Racked with guilt over framing Debbie for the crash, Carl assured Ronnie he’d put things right. He initially planned to confess to the police, but at the last minute, he lost his nerve and backed out.

Instead, Carl went to Debbie and admitted he was the one responsible. But rather than being shocked, Debbie revealed she already knew the truth – and had been covering for him. Her reason? She’s his mum.

Debbie then explained that she discovered she was pregnant at just 17. Elaine stepped in and offered to raise Carl as her own. This allowed Debbie to avoid the pressures of being a single teenage mother.

The revelation only fuelled Carl’s anger. He blamed Debbie for his troubled upbringing, claiming he’d always felt unwanted by Elaine. In a devastating outburst, Carl told Debbie that every mistake he’d ever made was down to her decision – before coldly telling her he hoped she’d go to prison, because she deserved it.

Two former soap stars join Debbie in Coronation Street prison scenes

Things go from bad to worse for Debbie later this week. She receives a crushing verdict in court on Friday (February 6). Spoilers for next week reveal that she is sent to prison. And, she won’t be facing it alone.

Corrie fans are set for a familiar face as Farrel Hegarty reprises her role as villain Lou Michaelis, returning especially for Debbie’s prison storyline as her new cellmate.

Joining her is former Emmerdale star Kelli Hollis, who has been cast as the so-called ‘Queen Bee’ of Weatherfield prison. Her character is tipped to make life extremely difficult for Debbie during her time inside.

A source told The Sun: “Corrie bosses wanted someone who could really make an impact and knew Kelli would be perfect for the guest role.

“She’s been away from Emmerdale for over a decade now, so the soap fans are going to love seeing her back on our screens.

“Although her character is going to leave them shocked because she is not very nice at all and is set to make Debbie’s life hell.”

What happens in Coronation Street tonight?

Tomorrow, Carl’s guilt bubbles after he overhears Summer mourning Billy and blaming Debbie for the crash. With Ronnie warning that jail could worsen Debbie’s dementia, Carl vows to finally do the right thing. But Debbie shocks him by admitting she’s known all along that he was behind the wheel – and chose to protect him.

Meanwhile, Kevin unravels fast. A grim reminder of fatherhood, a garage row and a vodka-fuelled meltdown see him climb onto the factory roof, forcing Abi to attempt to bring him back down.

Soap power hour schedule in 2026

Corrie had a major shift back in October 2024, when daily episodes began streaming on ITVX from 7am.

The move proved popular with viewers, with figures from the first quarter of 2025 showing ITVX reached a ‘record-breaking’ billion streams in a single quarter for the ‘first time ever.’ Coronation Street and Emmerdale alone have clocked up 124 million streams on the platform so far this year, with soap viewing rising by 35 percent compared to the first quarter of 2024.

More changes are on the horizon too, as ITV prepares to roll out a new ‘soap power hour’ from the second week of January 2026.

Under the new schedule, Corrie will no longer air just three nights a week. Instead, it will be shown every weekday, Monday to Friday, from 8.30pm to 9pm, with each episode running for half an hour. New episodes will continue to drop on ITVX every morning at 7am.

  • Coronation Street follow-up: As Mal refuses to disappear, Dev and Bernie’s marriage faces breaking point

Bernie was left rattled in tonight’s Coronation Street (Friday, January 30) as she pleaded with Mal to keep quiet about what really happened the night before – especially where Dev is concerned.

Mal agreed to keep her drug use under wraps, but made it clear she wouldn’t be getting off lightly, warning Bernie that she’d be seeing a lot more of him around the Street.

And now Coronation Street producer Kate Brooks has hinted that Mal’s continued presence, coupled with Bernie’s ongoing grief, will put Dev and Bernie’s marriage through a major ‘test’ in the weeks ahead.

Mal won’t stay away (Credit: ITV)

Mal agrees to keep Bernie’s secret in Coronation Street

Bernie’s loved ones were on edge earlier in the episode when she failed to answer her phone after being out all night. With Brody’s 17th birthday party fast approaching, her absence was hard to ignore.

She eventually staggered home just in time, urging everyone to get ready while she wrapped the presents, but her behaviour raised eyebrows.

Ryan had already filled Gemma in on Bernie taking drugs with a stranger at the hotel. Although Gemma confronted a clearly grieving Bernie, she chose to keep the truth from Dev.

Later, after the party, Bernie came face-to-face with Mal again and begged him not to say anything about the drugs or what went on between them. Mal promised to stay silent – but dropped the bombshell that she’d be seeing more of him, after Roy offered him work sorting out his electrics.

Coronation Street boss teases big ‘test’ for Dev and Bernie’s marriage

Speaking recently, Coronation Street producer Kate Brooks revealed that Bernie and Dev’s relationship will be pushed to its limits as Bernie’s grief continues to spiral and Mal becomes a fixture in Weatherfield.

But despite the strain, it seems the couple may yet weather the storm.

Kate explained: “We take Bernie on a really interesting journey as she struggles. It gets to the point where, because it’s been bubbling for such a long time, it eventually erupts. When it does, there are consequences for Bernie. It’s not as straightforward as Dev sweeping in and making sure that everything’s okay. It’s a really muddy, murky story that we take her on. I think it just again explores another side of Bernie that we’ve not seen yet.”

She added that while the pressure will be intense, their bond runs deep: “Obviously it’s going to be a test for Bernie and Dev, but it’s a test that they are a really strong couple, and no matter what we throw at them, they can overcome because they love each other.

“They absolutely adore each other. It’s a big story for Bernie, and certainly Roy’s embroiled in that story as well. It’s a really interesting one to keep an eye on, because it’s going to be quite a big start of the year for Bernie.”

With secrets, grief and Mal’s looming presence all in play, Dev and Bernie’s marriage is heading into seriously choppy waters.

Daniel Brocklebank’s long-running stint on the ITV soap came to a heartbreaking end when Billy Mayhew was killed off after 12 years on the Street.

Billy met his tragic fate during the huge Corriedale crossover episode. He was driving a minibus full of Debbie and Ronnie’s wedding guests when it collided with Carl and Debbie’s car.

Trapped behind the wheel, Billy was unable to escape. Villain Theo had the chance to save him, but cruelly chose to leave him to die, watching on as the flames engulfed the van.

After filming his final scenes in November 2025, Daniel Brocklebank reflected on his time in Weatherfield with an emotional Instagram post.

He wrote: “That’s it. Last scene filmed. Bye bye @coronationstreet. Bye bye Billy. The last 11 years have gone by in a blink. I’ve adored every moment of being part of this special family. I can’t thank @itv and all at Corrie enough. It’s been a ride. I adore you all.”

He first makes an impression by getting close to a grieving Bernie at the Chariot Square Hotel, before heading to Roy’s Rolls with a bombshell revelation.

Mal tells Roy that he is the husband of his date, Alice – and claims she’s been having an affair behind his back.

  • Huge ‘hint’ Carl Webster at risk of flashforward death after Theo’s chilling ultimatum in Coronation Street

Tonight’s Coronation Street (Wednesday, January 28) delivered some seriously dark moments as Carl Webster and Theo Silverton went head-to-head with chilling threats – all unfolding against the backdrop of Billy’s funeral.

The gloves were well and truly off as Carl hinted he could expose Theo for leaving Billy to die. But Theo wasn’t about to take that lying down and fired back with a threat of his own – one that could blow Carl’s life apart.

Is Carl a dead man walking? (Credit: ITV)

Carl and Theo at war in Coronation Street

Just moments before Billy was laid to rest, Theo was hit with a devastating revelation. Carl confirmed that the confession whispered in the undertakers hadn’t gone unheard after all. While forgiveness from Billy was suggested, it quickly became clear that Todd wouldn’t be so understanding. With his secret no longer safely buried, Theo’s guilt weighed heavier than ever.

During the service itself, Todd was asked to deliver the eulogy but found himself unable to continue through his grief. Theo stepped in, subtly steering the narrative in a very different direction. Responsibility was quietly nudged towards Todd, with the suggestion that Billy’s death might have been avoided. A carefully vague expression of regret followed from Theo, and, still unaware of the full truth, Todd offered his forgiveness.

Elsewhere, Ryan was left injured after being attacked in a hotel robbery, with the thieves making a quick escape. Carl appeared to play the hero, stepping in as a rescuer – but it later emerged the entire crime had been orchestrated by him. Crucially, Theo secretly obtained photographic proof.

That evidence shifted the balance of power. A deal was made. Carl was warned to stay silent. And Theo delivered a chilling promise – if the truth came out, Carl’s funeral would be next.

Huge ‘hint’ Carl Webster could be at risk of Coronation Street flashforward death

Coronation Street viewers already know the soap is building towards a deadly flashforward, with five characters potentially facing a tragic end.

With Theo now openly alluding to Carl’s possible death, the danger surrounding him has ramped up dramatically. While there’s been no confirmation that Carl is one of the ‘five,’ the tension suggests his days could be numbered.

Could Carl be the one who doesn’t make it through the upcoming flashforward scenes?

Teasing what’s to come, Coronation Street producer Kate Brooks said: “One of our characters has found a dead body on the street, and we don’t know who it is.

She then added: “So, there are five potential victims and we will take the audience on a journey for them to try and figure out who that body is and what happened.”

  • Coronation Street follow-up: On the anniversary of her death, Hayley’s emotional cancer storyline revisited

Roy Cropper took a poignant moment to remember his beloved late wife Hayley Cropper in tonight’s Coronation Street (Tuesday, January 20) as he marked the 12th anniversary of her passing.

On this emotional milestone, Roy planned a visit to the lake where he had scattered Hayley’s ashes, quietly honouring her memory.

Here’s a look back at Hayley’s heartbreaking storyline and the tragic battle with cancer that left Weatherfield viewers in tears.

Roy planned a trip to the lake to remember Hayley (Credit: ITV)

Roy’s touching moment in Coronation Street

Tonight, Roy shared his plans to visit the lake with Lisa and Betsy, who were both keen to understand his intentions. Betsy worried it might be too chilly for a trip, while Lisa also suggested he could bundle up ‘like Paddington Bear.’

The mood then shifted when Roy explained that the lake held deep personal significance – it was where he had scattered Hayley’s ashes. Betsy then wondered if Carla would be joining him, and Lisa admitted how much she missed her, while Betsy hoped Roy might nudge things in Carla’s favour.

Later, Roy then had a heartfelt conversation with Carla. He reminded her that Hayley would want her to be happy and that it wasn’t too late to mend things with Lisa. Carla, in turn, gently told Roy that Hayley would also want him to find happiness too, prompting him to consider reaching out to his mysterious pen pal, Alice.

Remembering Hayley Cropper’s tragic final Coronation Street death storyline

Hayley’s story reached its devastating conclusion in 2014, when she made the heart-wrenching decision to ask Roy to help her end her life as her cancer worsened.

The storyline began with a tender scene in which Roy was nervous about a doctor’s appointment, and Hayley insisted on accompanying him. In a cruel twist, it was Hayley who received the life-changing news: she had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Faced with her terminal diagnosis, Roy stood steadfast by her side. But Hayley had a clear plan for her final days. Determined not to endure a prolonged, painful decline, she asked Roy for his help, and he bravely agreed.

On the day she chose to say goodbye, Hayley ensured everything was in order so Roy would be protected. Surrounded by love, she slipped away peacefully, leaving Roy and the rest of Weatherfield to grapple with the enormity of her loss.

For fans, her passing was more than a storyline – it was a reminder of her courage, her love, and those small, mischievous moments that made Hayley Cropper unforgettable. Even now, her memory continues to touch the heart of the cobbles.

  • Coronation Street spoilers for next week: First look as Theo stirs the pot at Billy’s funeral, and Sam turns detective on Megan

In Coronation Street spoilers for next week, emotions run high as Billy’s funeral brings heartbreak, hidden romances are exposed, and more than a few residents of the Street face shocking surprises.

Theo’s guilt spirals, Todd struggles under pressure, and Sam Blakeman may have just made a dangerous enemy. Here’s the full rundown of what’s coming up.

    1. Sam’s suspicions rise in Coronation Street spoilers

Sam’s detective instincts kick in when Leanne shows Megan a mystery tracksuit top found in the flat. Megan insists it belongs to Daniel, but Sam isn’t convinced.

Later, he corners Will on the Street and cheekily asks if anything is going on between Lee and Megan. Will laughs it off – but Sam then spots the same tracksuit top tucked in Will’s sports bag. Busted?

At the Rovers, Will panics, warning Megan that Sam is onto them. Megan isn’t impressed, and spotting Sam doing homework in Speed Daal, she immediately clocks him.

Later, Leanne invites Sam for tea, but Megan is already planted at the table. Sam may have been playing detective – but he’s just made a powerful enemy.

    2. Jodie flirts with danger

Abi drops by No.8 with a warning for Jodie: Carl Webster is trouble, pure and simple. Shona backs her up, revealing Carl’s past infidelity. But Jodie’s resolve crumbles when Carl struts into the café, turning on the charm.

Smiles, flirting Jodie is clearly intrigued. Red flags are everywhere, but will she ignore them all?

    3. Theo points the finger at Debbie

Debbie tracks Todd down in Victoria Garden, offering £3k for Billy’s funeral – a kind gesture at the worst possible time. Seeing Todd in pieces, Theo lashes out at Debbie, blaming her for everything.

Carl rushes in to defend Debbie, turning the garden into yet another Weatherfield battlefield.

    4. Billy’s funeral

As Billy’s funeral looms, Theo is drowning in guilt. A heart-to-heart with the Bishop urges him to stop blaming himself and talk to God instead – but Theo finds that easier said than done.

Left alone at the undertakers, he confesses everything to Billy’s coffin, apologising for leaving him to die. A sudden door slam makes him freeze – has someone overheard?

On the funeral day, Theo spirals further. When Todd is asked to deliver the eulogy, he’s overwhelmed. Theo “helps” by shifting the blame onto Todd.

Later, at the Rovers, Todd wrestles with whether to speak out, while Bernie drowns her grief in wine upstairs. Even funerals in Weatherfield are far from peaceful.

    5. Theo takes control of Todd’s finances

Todd’s secrets come out when Theo opens his post and finds a final demand from a credit card company. Todd insists it’s under control, but Theo isn’t convinced.

He urges Todd to take drastic action, leading him to cut up his bank cards and switch to cash only. Will Theo’s tough-love approach help, or just push Todd further away?

    6. Kevin’s behaviour worries Abi

Kevin’s troubles become impossible to ignore when he overhears Tyrone and Abi discussing chaos at the garage. Later, Abi finds Kevin asleep in a customer’s car and heads to Street Cars flat to confide in Debbie Webster.

Kevin is clearly struggling, and Abi fears his behaviour may spiral even further if no one intervenes.

    7. Ryan faces robbers in Coronation Street spoilers

Ryan’s shift at the Chariot Square Hotel descends into nightmare territory when two masked robbers storm reception, claw hammer in hand.

As Ryan freezes, Carl arrives. Perfect timing, or terrible luck? Will Carl save the day, or is Ryan about to become the next victim of Weatherfield chaos?

    8. Bernie hits the town and trouble

Bernie Winter storms out for a ‘girls’ night’ with Gemma, Sally, Glenda, and Christina, ignoring Dev’s warnings about booze. Shots flow, but she sneaks into Chariot Square bar for more, meeting Mal.

They confide in each other about troubled relationships until Ryan cuts them off, and Mal invites Bernie to his room.

Back home, Dev panics as Bernie goes missing. When she finally returns, she freezes at Mal’s sudden appearance.

    9. Roy’s disastrous date in Coronation Street spoilers

Summer’s day starts with relief when Kit returns her stolen rucksack with Paul’s ashes intact – but the shock sends her spiralling. Left in charge of the shop, she helps herself to the alcohol. Roy arrives for his first date with Alice, only to find Summer drunk behind the counter.

Then, Mal shows up, introducing himself as Alice’s husband, leaving Roy completely floored. To top it off, Nina later tells Roy there’s no electricity in the flat. One small problem too many on the cobbles.

  • Are Coronation Street Shona and Jodie stars Julia Goulding and Olivia Frances Brown related? We have answers

Shona and Jodie’s Coronation Street sisters twist had fans talking – but are Julia Goulding and Olivia Frances Brown related off screen?

Coronation Street viewers were left doing a double take last week when it was confirmed that Jodie is actually Shona’s sister – with the pair even caught up in the very same Corriedale car crash. Small world, eh?

Long before the show made it official, plenty of fans were already convinced there had to be a family link. After all, the resemblance between Shona and Jodie is hard to miss. But, are the actresses who play them related in real life too?

They’re related on screen (Credit: ITV)

Jodie and Shona are sisters in Coronation Street

Jodie first arrived on our screens during the Corrie/Emmerdale crossover, when she was discovered tied up in the back of a van driven by Emmerdale’s Graham Foster. Yes, ‘dead’ Graham Foster.

After managing to break free, Jodie fled through the woods before eventually making it to hospital. There, fate stepped in once again, as she crossed paths with Shona, who had also been caught up in the crash and was in labour at the time.

Noticing the coincidence straight away, Jodie soon reintroduced herself and acknowledged the strange turn of events that had brought the sisters together once more.

With nowhere else to go, Jodie has since ended up staying at the Platts’ house. David realised she was having a panic attack and quickly worked out that she was homeless. Keen to stop Shona’s sister sleeping rough, he invited Jodie to stay – planning to explain everything to Shona later.

Upcoming scenes will see Shona questioning the bruises on Jodie’s wrists. Jodie admits she was in an abusive relationship – but viewers will be left wondering whether she’s being completely honest about her past.

They’re not related off screen thought (Credit: ITV)

Are Jodie and Shona actresses related in off-screen?

On screen, the casting of Coronation Street newcomer Olivia Frances Brown alongside long-standing favourite Julia Goulding has certainly raised eyebrows.

The pair look strikingly similar, and fans have been buzzing online, desperate to know whether the resemblance runs deeper than clever casting.

But despite appearances, there’s no off-screen family connection here. Olivia Frances Brown and Julia Goulding are not related in real life. It’s simply a case of spot-on casting by the Corrie team.

So there you have it. Sisters in Weatherfield, strangers off set – though we’re not the only ones who were completely fooled.

On the Street, Megan drops a bombshell on Will – she’s going away for a while. Will instantly panics and can’t help but ask what she’ll say if anyone thinks she’s ill. He’s worried, and it’s written all over his face.

Later, outside the school, Will goes full drama mode, begging Megan to dump Daniel because it’s killing him seeing them together. Megan promises she’ll try, keeping him sweet… for now.

Over dinner at the bistro, Daniel apologises for being a bit intense but confesses he can’t help how he feels about her. When he casually suggests reporting Will’s ‘harassment’ to Mrs Crawshaw, Megan swiftly changes the topic. Smooth deflection.

Things get spicier at the athletics meet when a runner named Lee reminds Will they used to race in Hull.

While Will is distracted, Lee rings Megan – and she arranges to meet him in the ginnel after the race. What’s Megan plotting?

    2. Shona wants the truth from Jodie

With David stuck at the hospital, a knackered Shona barely gets her slippers on before Jodie launches into attack mode.

She drags up their shared past, accusing Shona of ditching her with their nightmare parents and never caring. Subtle? Not even slightly. Shona’s left reeling – and wondering how on earth to respond.

Trying for calm, Shona takes Jodie for breakfast at the café… but it all goes sideways when Kit walks in and Jodie bolts like she’s seen a ghost. Back at No.8, Shona demands answers, curious how Jodie even knows Kit in the first place.

Kit fills in the blanks, revealing he found Jodie in the woods on crash night – wrists bound, petrified, and clearly fleeing someone. Shona’s stunned.

Meanwhile, Jodie attends a domestic abuse support group, absorbing Ellie’s harrowing story… until Bethany rings to say Jodie’s back home mid-meltdown.

Later, Jodie plays happy helper at the café, flirts outrageously with Carl (earning a sharp warning from Abi), while Shona admits to David she’s tempted to track down their dad to uncover the real truth.

Something’s not adding up – and Jodie’s rewriting more than memories.

    3. Carla and Lisa get back together

At Underworld, Betsy goes full emotional negotiator, reminding Carla they were once a proper family – and could be again – insisting both she and her mum still love her. No pressure.

Over in the café, Roy gently tells Lisa it’s the anniversary of Hayley’s death and that he’s heading to the boating lake where he scattered her ashes.

In peak Roy wisdom mode, he also nudges Carla to make peace with Lisa, because Hayley definitely wouldn’t approve of the sulking.

Fate jumps in when Carla pops into the bistro to book a client lunch and is handed a letter from Ryan, inviting her to lunch… with Lisa. Romantic, right? Except Carla’s forced to switch her phone off mid-meal and accidentally ghosts Lisa completely.

A very drunk Lisa storms into the hotel restaurant and tears strips off Carla for standing her up. Awkward.

The next morning, a painfully hungover Lisa admits she remembers almost none of it – but all’s forgiven, as the pair announce at the Rovers they’re officially back together. Cheers all round.

There’s unwanted bonus drama though as a teary Sally turns up unloading marriage woes on Lisa. Carla quietly calls Tim to come collect his wife. Exit Sally.

    4. Tyrone has it out with Carl

Carl Webster steps out of the bathroom in the Street Cars flat and gets the fright of his life – Tyrone’s there, blocking the exit and brandishing his crutch like a weapon. Not exactly a warm welcome.

Tyrone slams him against the wall and demands the truth, no messing, no escape.

Later in the Rovers, Tyrone spills all to Fiz and Kevin, recounting the showdown blow by blow.

Whether Carl’s secrets are finally about to come out remains to be seen… but Tyrone clearly isn’t backing down.

    5. A truce is made as Ben is rushed to hospital

Leanne breezes into the pub and casually drops a bombshell, suggesting to Maggie that she’d like to buy her out. Eva nearly chokes on her drink, while Maggie immediately smells a conspiracy and accuses Eva of sneaky backroom plotting.

As Eva and Maggie swap insults over the fate of Maggie’s share, Ben heads off to sort the beer delivery – and promptly clutches his chest. Not great timing. Leanne ups the ante with a £160k offer, which Maggie flatly rejects, before chaos strikes when Leanne’s bag tangles around a bar stool and sends Maggie sprawling.

Eva then spots Ben looking grey and clammy. When he admits he’s been having heart palpitations, Eva dials for an ambulance in full panic mode. Over at A&E, Will is already hovering anxiously over an unwell Megan – could secrets be about to spill?

Back at home, Eva and Maggie are still squabbling over Ben’s breakfast until Ben snaps. Finally, they agree to call a truce – for his heart, if nothing else.

    6. Kevin loses control in Coronation Street spoilers next week

Kevin drags himself home and gloomily stares at an old photo of him and Debbie, back when life wasn’t a complete mess. The nostalgia quickly curdles into rage and before you can say ‘anger management,’ Kevin’s tearing the living room apart in a full-blown meltdown.

Tyrone, who’s followed him in, stands frozen in shock as cushions fly and emotions spill. Finally spent, Kevin admits to Tyrone that he’s at the end of his rope – exhausted, heartbroken, and with nowhere left to turn.

  • Coronation Street spoilers for Wed, Jan 7: Couple faces life-or-death decision in crash aftermath

The fallout from the dramatic Corriedale car crash is hitting Weatherfield hard, and Coronation Street spoilers hint at further heartbreak. One couple also faces a life-changing choice that could have serious consequences.

Here’s the lowdown on all the chaos in Coronation Street spoilers for Wednesday, January 7.

It’s a tough time (Credit: ITV)

Weatherfield reels from disaster in Coronation Street spoilers

It’s been a week of shock in Corrie. The special Corriedale crossover episode put lives on the line, and sadly, not everyone made it through. Poor Billy Mayhew was trapped in a minibus that erupted in flames, and despite a chance at survival, Theo Silverton cruelly left him to die – leaving Todd reeling from another devastating blow.

Meanwhile, Shona and David were rushed to hospital after the crash as Shona went into premature labour. On top of everything, David suffered a seizure, leaving Shona panicked and fearing her baby wasn’t ready to enter the world. It was a tense, terrifying few moments for both of them.

And in a twist of karmic justice, Carl Webster ended up badly injured in hospital after his own reckless actions came back to bite him. He had shoved his sister’s unconscious body into the driver’s seat, hoping to avoid blame for his drunken driving. It’s a grim reminder that not everyone escapes unscathed.

With the Street still trying to process the fallout, the big question is whether the community can rally around each other in these dark times.

    A couple faces a life-or-death decision

As if the crash wasn’t enough, one Weatherfield couple now faces a huge, potentially life-altering decision. Even with the immediate danger over, the consequences of their choice could bring more grief to the Street.

Weatherfield has already endured so much this week – fingers crossed that everyone left standing can be kept safe. The drama is far from over, and one thing’s for sure, not a single resident is untouched by the chaos of the Corriedale disaster.

  • Coronation Street spoilers for next week: First look as Jodie worms her way into the Platt household

In Coronation Street spoilers for next week, Jodie stays with the Platts after admitting she hasn’t got anywhere to go.

Elsewhere, Becky plots her revenge on Lisa.

All this and more in Coronation Street spoilers for next week.

    1. Becky plots revenge on Lisa

Tensions explode when Betsy overhears Lisa telling Carla that Becky has threatened to drag her down with her. Furious, Betsy storms off to confront Becky in prison, letting her know exactly what she thinks of her actions.

Becky’s fury is impossible to miss – but is she actually going to follow through on her threats? Meanwhile, Carla drops by to check on a shaken Betsy, who pleads with her not to leave. Will Carla stay by her side, or walk away?

    2. Jodie finds a new home at No.8 in Coronation Street spoilers

Shockwaves hit when Jodie reveals she was caught up in the same car crash as David and Shona. Later, she’s found in the hospital car park having a panic attack, admitting she has nowhere to stay.

Soon, David welcomes her into No.8, introducing her to Bethany and Lily, who warm to her instantly. But when Nick calls round while David is at the hospital, he’s stunned to find Jodie already making herself at home. The atmosphere turns frosty, and tensions rise between Nick and Jodie.

Shona spots bruising on Jodie’s wrist, and she explains it came from trying to escape an abusive relationship before the crash. But is that the full story?

    3. Debbie digs in as Ronnie faces tough choices

At the hotel, Ryan confronts Debbie with the evidence that Carl has been siphoning money from her for months. Debbie confronts Carl – will his explanation be enough to sway her?

Meanwhile, Ronnie admits to Michael that he’s worried Debbie might ignore all advice and plead guilty. Over at the flat, emotions run high when Kevin tries to change Debbie’s mind, only for Ronnie to step in and remove him when tensions boil over.

Pressure mounts as Carl pays Debbie another visit, while Bernie urges her not to blame herself and reminds her that Billy’s death was an accident. Ronnie supports Bernie’s words, leaving Carl increasingly panicked. Surrounded by conflicting voices, what will Debbie ultimately decide?

Later, Ronnie is shaken after overhearing Mary and Asha discussing the crash at the café. Stepping in, he apologises on Debbie’s behalf, clearly struggling under the weight of it all.

    4. Will’s jealousy explodes as Megan’s secret is nearly exposed

Megan and Daniel arrive at No.1 with Bertie’s birthday cake and presents, but Will’s jealousy is obvious. Daniel later tells Megan about Will’s recent misbehaviour at school, including receiving detention. When Daniel invites Megan to Bertie’s party, she’s excited.

But trouble looms. As Megan leaves the shop, Will confronts her, demanding to know if she stayed over at Daniel’s. At Bertie’s birthday party, the tension peaks when Alya asks Bertie to fetch cake candles – only for him to accidentally pull a pregnancy test from Megan’s bag. How on earth will she explain that?

Megan is later found in floods of tears in Victoria Garden by Leanne and Eva. The drama escalates further at the bistro when Daniel thanks Megan for taking Bertie to school and admits he’s starting to fall for her.

And the chaos doesn’t stop there. As Daniel heads to work, he discovers a rude symbol spray-painted across Ken’s car. Megan soon tracks Will down in the ginnel, confronting him over the vandalism and making it clear his behaviour has gone too far.

    5. Todd battles grief and guilt in Coronation Street spoilers

Summer visits the shop flat with a photo of Billy Mayhew, suggesting it be displayed at his funeral. While moved, Todd struggles to write Billy’s eulogy.

At the undertakers, emotions boil over as the ambulance delivers Billy’s body, leaving Summer in tears. Todd does his best to support her through the heartbreaking moment. Later, he’s caught up in Summer’s anger when she spots Debbie laughing with Ronnie, sparking further tension on the Street.

    6. Harper’s condition sparks panic

David and Shona’s joy is shattered when an alarm sounds, and a doctor delivers frightening news. Little Harper urgently needs a blood transfusion. Terrified, the couple cling to one another, fearing the worst for their daughter.

  • Coronation Street follow up: As Becky’s scare tactic works, will Lisa really leave?

Becky Swain decided it was time to speed up her family’s departure in Coronation Street tonight (Thursday, January 1).

With Kit hot on her heels, Becky is desperate to get Betsy and Lisa to Spain as soon as possible, so decided to scare them into leaving.

Her plan worked and Lisa agreed to move to Spain immediately – but will she really go?

Becky was worried about Kit (Credit: ITV)

Kit got close to Becky’s secret

Kit visited Costello in hospital and told him he had found the flat that belonged to him, but nobody was there. Kit wanted to know why Costello told Carla to go there? But Costello was evasive and said he couldn’t remember.

Kit warned Costello that Carla’s life could be in danger, but Costello remained shtum. Once Kit had left, the reason for Costello’s silence was revealed – as Becky slipped out of the en suite.

Becky thanked Costello for covering for her. She then threatened him, warning him to keep his mouth shut and then he won’t have anything to worry about.

Later, Becky bumped into Kit’s girlfriend Sarah and attempted to prise information out of her by joking about how Lisa is already back working hard. It worked as Sarah revealed that Kit had gone to see his boss in hospital again. Sarah then added that she is sure Kit is close to cracking the case.

Becky started a fire to get Lisa to leave Coronation Street

Lisa finally caved and agreed to go to Spain with Becky and Betsy, but she said she wasn’t going anywhere until she had seen Carla and told her the news face to face.

Becky knows she can’t let Lisa see Carla, given that she has been holding Carla hostage, so she came up with a plan. Sporting a balaclava, Becky started a fire by the flat, with Betsy and Lauren inside.

Believing that it was another message of warning for Becky, Betsy insisted they had to go to Spain immediately as they might do something worse next time.

Later, Lisa saw Roy and shared that she is still upset over Carla ignoring her. Roy was adamant that Carla wouldn’t deliberately hurt her and urged her not to give up. Lisa left one more message for Carla – telling her she was the love of her life. She then decided, that with her daughter’s life having been put at risk, the best course of action was for her to move to Spain with Becky and Betsy the very next day.

    Will Lisa leave Coronation Street?

Spoilers for Friday’s episode reveal Lisa hands Sarah an envelope containing Carla’s engagement ring, and asks her to return it to Carla when she finally shows up.

Meanwhile, Becky continues her manipulation and at the Chariot Square Hotel, she persuades Lisa that they need to ditch their phones for safety reasons. She then heads out, promising she’ll be back with new phones before they head to the ferry.

Next week sees the much anticipated Corriedale episode, which Lisa, Becky and Carla will all play a major part in. So Lisa is not leaving any time before that.

The special episode will see Carla team up with Kit to stop Becky leaving the country with Lisa and Betsy. Carla and Kit later arrive at the crash scene, but will Carla reach Lisa in time? And will Becky get her comeuppance?

  • Eva thinks it’s a cosy Christmas but the Driscolls have other plans in Coronation Street spoilers

Eva Price may have just walked straight into trouble by asking Megan to join the Christmas celebrations, according to Coronation Street spoilers.

On Friday, December 19, in Weatherfield, Eva discovered that Megan was gearing up to spend the holiday on her own and swiftly changed her plans.

But, this well-meaning gesture could spark serious tension around the dinner table, with emotions running high and long-buried secrets threatening to explode.

Christmas in the Driscoll household might be far from peaceful and fans can expect plenty of sparks to fly before the night is over.

Megan won’t be lonely this Christmas (Credit: ITV)

Megan set to join the Driscolls for Christmas

Will Driscoll marked his 16th birthday today (or so it seemed). With his family acting as though they’d forgotten the occasion entirely, Will took matters into his own hands and booked himself a room at the Chariot Square Hotel.

Turning sixteen clearly went straight to his head, convincing him he was suddenly all grown up. But no matter how adult he feels, one thing hasn’t changed. His involvement with gym coach Megan Walsh is still completely off-limits.

The pair slipped away to the hotel under the radar, but their secrecy didn’t last long. When Ben Driscoll worked out where Will had gone, he stormed over only to find Will desperately trying to hide Megan out of sight.

Thinking fast, Will spun a lie about a girlfriend from Hull named Chloe. With Ben, Ollie and Will exiting together, Megan was left behind to make a very awkward solo escape.

Back at the Rovers, Ben told Eva that Will had been hanging out with his mates so that she wouldn’t worry. But the situation soon got even more awkward when Megan was invited into the pub and also invited over for Christmas Dinner with the Driscolls.

Eva was upset to find out that Megan was spending Christmas Day with a ‘turkey dinner for one’ and invited both her and Daniel to join them all in the pub. But, will this be the perfect environment for Megan and Will’s secret to come out?

Coronation Street spoilers reveal Christmas Day chaos for the Driscolls

Coronation Street spoilers for Christmas week reveal that the Driscoll dinner erupts into chaos and secrets threaten to spill.

Maggie Driscoll struggles to mask her irritation as Ben and Eva swap presents, their syrupy affection laying it on thick enough for a Christmas romcom. Over at the pub, Daniel pops in with Bertie bearing a gift for Megan, and Maggie quickly insists they stay for lunch – much to Will’s quiet annoyance.

Elsewhere, Adam wows Alya with a glittering necklace and casually floats the idea of moving in together, leaving her delighted. Eva panics when she realises her missing letter isn’t in her bag. Adam grabs her hand for reassurance,  just as Ben walks in and clocks the moment.

As lunch begins, Maggie shoots Eva Price a deadly stare while Will bristles at Daniel. The Secret Santa finale leaves Ben stunned. And, someone’s then being kicked out of the pub.

And, just at the back of the pub in the ginnel, Evelyn finds someone left for dead as the drama reaches its peak. Who could it be? And, is it someone who was sitting at the dinner table?

  • Coronation Street drops worrying Corriedale ‘hint’ as to Tracy Barlow’s fate

During Tuesday night’s episode of Coronation Street (December 16), Cassie made a chilling remark about Tracy’s fate, and it’s left us wondering whether the upcoming Corriedale episode could spell serious danger for her.

Once again, Tracy and Cassie were locked in their ongoing war of words, with tensions higher than ever. This time, it was Tracy who made a bold move in an effort to come out on top.

But could her risky bid for payback end up backfiring in the most devastating way imaginable?

Cassie made a death reference (Credit: ITV)

    Corriedale Tracy death ‘hint’

Over on the cobbles tonight, Cassie couldn’t resist having a moan about Tracy while chatting to Steve on the phone. What she didn’t realise, however, was that Tracy was sitting right there in Steve’s cab and heard every brutal word.

Tracy was left fuming as Cassie sneered that she’d ‘happily dance on that sour-faced cow’s grave.’ Ouch.

It wasn’t long before Tracy stormed into Street Cars to confront her rival, plotting payback as Cassie answered a call. Seizing the moment, Tracy tipped a mug of hot tea over Cassie’s brand-new dress before flouncing out, leaving chaos – and one very ruined outfit – behind her.

At Roy’s Rolls, Cassie bumped into Tracy and accused her of being bitter because her ex-husband loved her now instead.

Cassie questioned whether their petty feud would go on forever, fuming that she’d ruined her expensive dress. But, didn’t let Tracy get to her and stormed off once more.

Tracy Barlow caught up in Corriedale car pile-up

It looks as though the big Corriedale crossover episode will centre around Debbie Webster’s wedding.

With many guests in attendance to watch Debbie and Ronnie tie the knot, Tracy is likely one of them.

In the trailer, she can be heard shouting ‘there’s a fire spreading towards the car,’ in desperate need of help.

Someone who looks like Tracy can then be seen ducking down as an explosion takes place at the scene of the car pile-up.

Tracy’s character also has the opportunity to cross paths with Emmerdale’s Ross Barton, with soap fans able to vote on which character pairing they like to see share a scene together.

Tracy’s life on the line in Coronation Street

For now, it’s a mystery whether Tracy makes it out alive or manages to escape whatever lies ahead. But one thing’s clear, she’s heading into dangerous territory.

Cassie’s grim comment about Tracy’s death in tonight’s episode isn’t the first ominous hint viewers have picked up on lately. In fact, the show has been quietly dropping unsettling clues for weeks.

Just last week, Tracy raised eyebrows when she appeared to soften, telling Ken she wanted to make the most of their time together while she still had the chance. A strange shift, and one that’s now got fans worried.

So is Coronation Street laying the groundwork for a shocking fate for Tracy in Corriedale?

  • Coronation Street drama ahead as Gary triggers police search into Todd and Theo

Gary Windass may have just delivered the most important intel of the week in Coronation Street, and it could be the thing that finally keeps Todd safe from Theo’s creeping control.

During tonight’s episode (Friday, December 12), Gary casually mentioned to George and Christina that he’d heard a massive thud coming from Todd and Theo’s flat, the kind of noise you don’t just ignore.

That was all George needed to panic-dial Todd… but the call rang out unanswered, leaving everyone with that sinking feeling that something inside that flat has gone very, very wrong.

Gary raised his concerns (Credit: ITV)

Gary hears concerning sound from Todd’s flat in Coronation Street

Gary spent the day looking like a man trying very hard not to sound the alarm, even though Todd never showed his face once. While grabbing a bite in Speed Daal, he quietly pulled Christina and George aside and confessed he’d heard a massive bang from Todd and Theo’s flat earlier, the sort of crash you don’t just chalk up to someone dropping a coaster.

Christina’s eyebrows shot up, George Shuttleworth turned the colour of uncooked pastry, and she whispered that it was time to make a call. A serious one.

Back at the flat, Todd’s phone rang into the silence. No answer. The camera wandered past a collapsed Christmas tree and a cheerful photo of Todd and Theo, smiling like life was perfect.

Clearly, something inside that flat wasn’t perfect at all… and Gary was the first to smell trouble.

The special episode will air on Monday (Credit: ITV)

Coronation Street spoilers reveal police intervention in special episode

On Monday December 15, Coronation Street will air its one-off special episode for Todd and Theo. And, it looks like we’re in for something seriously spine-tingling. The spotlight lands squarely on Todd and Theo’s increasingly messed-up dynamic, with Theo’s controlling behaviour creeping into darker territory by the day.

In the episode, the police end up flooding the cobbles after someone reports a domestic incident. Neighbours twitch their curtains, the Street holds its breath… and then comes the twist.

This isn’t a normal episode at all. Everything is shown through cameras. Todd’s hidden spy cam, street CCTV, doorbell footage, police bodycams, even the odd dashcam shot. No cosy angles, no soft lighting, just raw, jolting glimpses of the truth as flashbacks slowly stitch the story together.

And as each piece slots into place, is this finally the moment Theo’s behaviour is exposed for what it really is?

    2. Lauren is onto Will and Megan

Eva wastes no time in putting Will on the spot. She demands that he apologise to Lauren for his unwanted kiss. Lauren brushes it off, insisting it’s all in the past but the tension lingers.

Debbie is over the moon when they reveal they’ve managed to secure Monkton Hall, thanks to a last‑minute cancellation, with the big day now just three weeks away.

But the celebrations hit a snag when Debbie announces she wants Carl and Abi at the wedding. Ronnie warns she’s asking for trouble, convinced Kevin won’t stand for it. Sure enough, Kevin makes his feelings crystal clear, shoving the invitation straight back at her.

    4. Carla’s efforts come to nothing in Coronation Street spoilers for December

Kit drops in on Costello at the hospital. He’s taken aback when Costello’s wife casually mentions he’d been planning to retire to the Lakes in September. Kit wastes no time sharing the odd revelation with Lisa and Becky. Lisa agrees it’s strange, while Becky’s unease doesn’t go unnoticed.

Convinced something’s off, Kit later tells Carla he suspects Costello and Becky are working together. Carla, deflated, pours herself a stiff drink, reminding him they’ve got no solid proof.

Meanwhile, Kit slyly tells Becky that Carla’s holed up in the factory with a bottle of scotch, urging her to let Lisa know. Becky promises she will  but instead heads straight to Carla’s office, shutting the door behind her as Carla reaches for another glass.

Back at the station, Costello’s wife collects his belongings and shows Kit a photo of the Coniston house they’d bought. Kit jots down the name, Ravensgill. He later discovers it was purchased by a company formed just a week after Becky’s supposed death. He quickly leaves Carla a message with the bombshell.

Carla then turns up at No.6, pouring her heart out to Lisa, confessing she should never have left and that she’s always loved her. Lisa admits she feels the same but insists it’s too late, their relationship is over. Carla is left shattered.

    5. David’s mood kills the party in Coronation Street spoilers for December

David walks through the door only to be stunned by a living room packed with party guests. Shona quickly explains it’s a surprise baby shower, but David’s face says it all. He’s far from thrilled.

With their baby considered high‑risk, he tells Shona that a celebration feels out of place.

The mood shifts instantly as Shona glances around at the awkward, red‑faced guests. The festive atmosphere suddenly hangs by a thread.

    6. George and Christina worry about Todd

George and Christina are all smiles as they chat about Todd, with Christina gently pointing out that it’s clear George still misses him and urging him to make amends. Just as George begins to mull it over, Gary arrives looking rattled and he explains that while passing Todd and Theo’s flat, he heard a loud crash.

Suddenly, the cosy conversation takes a dramatic turn, leaving George and Christina worried about what’s really going on behind closed doors…

    7. Tim and Sally cheer up the kids

Joanie drops the festive bombshell that she’s invited friends over for a Christmas bash, and Sally and Tim waste no time pulling together a full buffet spread to make it special. In the spirit of the season, Sally then reassures the girls that she’ll arrange a visit with their mum on Christmas Day.

But Tim isn’t so sure. He frets that Sally’s promise could backfire, knowing the prison might not allow visits on the big day, and worries the girls could be left heartbroken.

  • Coronation Street follow-up: As Theo lashes out at Todd, subtle ‘hints’ reveal who could come to his rescue

In this evening’s Coronation Street episode (Friday, November 28), Todd wound up at the hospital after slicing his face on a shattered mirror.

The injury came after Theo shoved him into it, only rushing him to A&E once he realised just how severe the cut was.

However, amid all the chaos, one character quietly hinted they might be the ally Todd desperately needs.

Todd cut his face in Corrie

Todd found himself pushed into yet another round of 10k training tonight, even though he never seems to hit Theo’s impossibly high bar. Honestly, the lad’s doing what he can.

When a pulled muscle left him wincing, James swung by to offer a bit of help and maybe a touch of cheeky flirting. Theo noticed immediately and later laid into Todd, accusing him of inviting the attention.

Things took a terrifying turn when Theo ordered Todd to ‘take a good look in the mirror,’ then smashed his face into it without warning. Utterly horrific.

At the hospital, Todd was patched up with medical glue and repeated the lie Theo had drilled into him, insisting the whole thing was just an accident.

The doctor asked Todd if there was anything he wanted to tell her about his injury, not quite buying his story about ‘walking into the mirror.’ She was also especially intrigued to know more about Todd’s partner but Todd brushed any concerns off.

Theo then switched to smothering mode, promising to ‘protect’ Todd and keep an eye on his head wound at home, playing Mr.Perfect by even cooking him dinner… which he made scorching hot, then demanded Todd eat anyway.

Coronation Street scenes ‘hint’ at which character will rescue Todd

Todd’s doctor was very suspicious over his tale of how he got his injury. She asked him if there was more to the story. She also seemed made a big deal about asking Todd about his partner, Theo.

While this might’ve been hospital protocol, the doctor showed genuine concern that something else was going on here.

When Todd mentioned glueing up any other future cuts at home, the doctor said he’d need to come back to the hospital and not to perform DIY. Todd’s comment also suggested that he was expecting further injuries. And, of course, this would give the doctor a cause for concern.

While Theo’s charm meant that no further action was required, was tonight’s episode a hopeful ‘clue’ that the doctor might eventually help Todd escape his abusive relationship?

Theo convinces Todd to stay hidden so no one sees his injuries. Todd reluctantly agrees, and Summer is told he’s gone to London. Restless, Todd peeks out the window but hides when spotted.

Summer later tells Theo she saw someone in the flat, assuming a burglar. Gary and Ben insist on checking with him, putting Theo’s lies at risk.

Dev also visits, and Todd scrambles to cover, claiming he’s just back from London and his head wound came from drinking.

Theo gifts Todd a fitness watch, urging him to train for a 10k.

After a painful run, Todd ends up with Christina and Theo watches darkly, as if fearing Todd might finally open up.

    4. Todd loses it

Theo shows Todd the exercise bike he bought, but Billy and Summer notice Todd’s cut. Theo covers, claiming it happened partying in London, though Billy doubts him.

Later, Theo checks his app and scolds Todd for only one sprint. When he blames Todd for Danielle’s choice, Todd snaps and says he’s had enough. Just as Todd prepares to leave, Theo shocks him by slapping himself in the face.

Meanwhile, Maria and Eva’s simmering tensions bubble up in sharp remarks, which Eva tries to brush aside, though Maggie quickly clocks the spat. Elsewhere, Liam innocently quizzes Will about his past in Hull and whether he has a girlfriend.

Will takes offence, and Maria is horrified when he squares up to Liam.

Back at the Rovers, Megan announces she’s got the job. Daniel sweeps her into a kiss that quickly turns passionate, while a heartbroken Will watches from the sidelines, his jealousy threatening to spill over.

    6. Becky has a lot on the line

Lisa tells Carla she wants to be with her, no matter what Carla thinks. Lisa later tells Becky they may have tracked down Costello’s attacker, a lad called Soap. Becky pretends not to know him, then secretly meets Soap to collect Costello’s burner and personal phone. As he hands them over, police sirens blare.

Lisa informs Becky that doctors are bringing Costello out of his coma.

At the hospital, Becky checks the coast is clear, grabs a syringe, and prepares to kill him before he wakes. But suddenly Lisa appears. Has Becky been caught?

Meanwhile, Kit tells Carla he suspects Becky’s role in the attack, but without Costello’s phone proof is thin. At the hospital, Becky chats with Costello’s daughter and learns her birthday is September 22.

When shown holiday snaps on Costello’s iPad, Becky memorises the password. Yet Kit later tells Lisa they’ve found Costello’s phone. Has Becky run out of time?
