  • SIMS Software Earns CMMC Level 2 Certification

    [ad_1]

SIMS Software announces CMMC 2.0 Level 2 Certification for SIMS Cloud 4.0, a certified cloud solution offering secure and compliant hosting for the national security community.

SIMS Software, the preeminent provider of security information management solutions, announced that their SIMS Cloud 4.0 offering has been awarded CMMC Level 2 certification meeting all 110 controls, with zero requirements for Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), reinforcing its position as the leader in providing secure, compliant solutions for the national security community.

The Department of Defense program known as Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) went into effect December 16, 2024, and requires a third-party assessment to ensure contractors are applying cybersecurity best practices for those handling sensitive unclassified information. SIMS Cloud 4.0 achieving Level 2 certification enables SIMS Software’s customers to comply with the DoD requirements to securely manage their sensitive and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).

“This certification represents a major milestone in our ongoing commitment to helping cleared industry and government clients stay ahead of evolving compliance mandates and reflects our ongoing investment in securing the critical systems and data our customers rely on,” said Michael Struttmann, CEO at SIMS Software. “SIMS Cloud 4.0 offers our customers a secure, scalable, and fully managed cloud hosted solution that’s purpose-built for the complexity of classified operations-now with the confidence of CMMC Level 2 certification.”

SIMS Software’s achievement has been the result of the company’s preparation over many years to build a rigorous security framework that led to a flawless assessment. Based on publicly available data from the CMMC ecosystem, SIMS Software is among the first 1% of approximately 76,000 cleared contractors to achieve CMMC 2.0 Level 2 certification, reflecting their early and proactive approach to cybersecurity compliance.

As defense contractors and security professionals prepare for CMMC enforcement and increasing cybersecurity demands, SIMS Cloud 4.0 provides a compliant path forward, with subscription-based flexibility and rapid deployment, allowing organizations to modernize real-time data management needs without sacrificing resources and mission integrity.

Aeroplicity Takes Off: Introducing Traceability (as a service) on the World’s First Blockchain-Backed Aerospace & Defense Platform Made for Small to Medium-Sized Businesses

Traceability (as a service) allows businesses to create blockchain-backed digital twins of their traceability documentation and digitally share these documentation packages through QR codes.

    Press Release

    updated: Jan 25, 2023 10:15 CST

Aeroplicity Inc., an innovative aerospace & defense technology startup, today announced the launch of the world’s first blockchain-backed aerospace & defense platform made for small to medium-sized businesses alongside its Traceability (as a service) application which simplifies the process of creating, managing, and sharing traceability documentation. It enables businesses to create digital twins of their documentation, which can be easily shared through QR codes, eliminating the need for physical copies. The use of blockchain technology ensures the authenticity of the documentation and improves supply chain transparency, speed, and efficiency.

The requirements to conduct business as an aerospace & defense supplier continue to increase with more complex requirements being passed down from both the government and Tier 1 suppliers into the supply chain. This puts many in the supply chain at a disadvantage as they do not have access to the same resources and knowledge that a Tier 1, or even a larger Tier 2 or 3, supplier does. With our Traceability (as a service) application, businesses no longer have to struggle with meeting the increasing and complex requirements of the aerospace & defense industry, such as DFARS 242.204-7012, NIST SP 800-171, and ITAR. Our platform ensures compliance with these regulations and allows businesses to focus on what they do best – delivering high-quality products and services.

“Our platform is a game-changer for the aerospace & defense supply chain,” said Jerome Miastkowski, CEO and Founder of Aeroplicity. “It allows small to medium-sized businesses to compete on the same level as larger organizations by providing access to low-cost next-generation technologies that simplify their compliance requirements.”

Aeroplicity is designed to improve supply chain transparency, speed, and efficiency, making it easier for businesses to ensure compliance with aerospace & defense regulations and standards. With our Traceability (as a service) application, businesses can easily access, share, and request documentation in real-time, reducing the risk of errors and increasing the speed of transactions. Additionally, our blockchain-backed platform provides a secure and immutable record of documentation, providing an added layer of security and trust for businesses in the aerospace & defense industry.

“We are excited to be launching this innovative platform and application to the market for FREE for the next six months,” said Miastkowski. “We believe that it will revolutionize the way small to medium-sized businesses operate in the aerospace & defense industry, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on their growth and success.”

Small Government Contractor Thought Leader Leads the Way to Help Defense Industrial Base Prepare and Obtain CMMC Certification

    Press Release

    Sep 27, 2022

SoundWay Consulting, Inc (SoundWay) today announced it has been authorized by the Cyber Accreditation Body (The Cyber AB) as a CMMC Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO). SoundWay was one of the first to be named a C3PAO candidate and is now among the first 25 authorized by The Cyber AB to conduct CMMC assessments. This authorization demonstrates SoundWay’s subject matter expertise and ability to deliver CMMC assessments at Level 2. SoundWay has been helping government contractors prepare for CMMC assessments as a Registered Provider Organization (RPO) for over 1.5 years.

In addition to becoming an authorized C3PAO, SoundWay also announces a portfolio of training capabilities for both government and industry to dramatically reduce exposure to harm stemming from cyber liability associated with government contracts and other legal obligations. SoundWay partnered with the Advanced Assessment Academy (AAA) to produce courseware now available for the Government’s Acquisition Workforce, Attorneys specializing in Government Contracts, Prime Contractors that need to validate their subcontractors, and companies that plan to self-attest. These courses will dramatically reduce both the government’s and industry’s exposure to financial harm stemming from CMMC requirements.

“Obtaining our C3PAO designation is an integral part of SoundWay’s growth strategy. We continue to see an exclusive focus on Government Contractors being able to demonstrate conformance with DFARs and CMMC obligations, yet little momentum exists on improving contract language, teaming agreements, and fully understanding that cyber liability does not stop with CMMC obligations. SoundWay is very excited at the prospect of delivering with AAA, high value, scalable, and cost-effective training content to significantly reduce the risks to cost, schedule and performance issues we have identified over the past two years.”  – Carter Schoenberg, VP &Chief Cybersecurity Officer at SoundWay
