Taylor Swift is officially in her sporty era, continuing her off-duty sartorial streak with another moment that’s left fans completely obsessed. On Sunday, Oct. 1, the singer supported her alleged beau, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, as his team played against the New York Jets. Friends Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Brittany Mahomes, and Sophie Turner also joined Swift for the big game day.

The 33-year-old’s ensemble included one of fall’s most classic outfit combinations: jeans and boots. She started with a sleek black long-sleeved crewneck shirt, which accented her Christian Louboutin knee-high boots. The pièce de résistance was a pair of Area embellished denim shorts (which are currently sold out but eligible for restock notification). Replete with silver studs along the zipper and right pocket, they were nothing short of eye-catching. Swift accessorized with an assortment of gold and silver jewelry, including the Queen Cuban choker and pavé diamond Trillion Toggle from Logan Hollowell. She also rocked her signature bangs, cherry-red lips, and black chrome nails.

Swift’s latest appearance aligns with her more relaxed approach to an offstage wardrobe. Just last week, she appeared at Kelce’s first game of the season in a team-inspired outfit that featured a red, black, and white Chiefs windbreaker; distressed denim Ksubi shorts; and New Balance 550 sneakers. Her other casual looks included a knit Reformation dress and boots combo for a dinner date with friend Sophie Turner and a pleated Free People miniskirt and striped button-down shirt midsummer in New York City.

The “Cruel Summer” singer’s Eras Tour costumes are just as noteworthy. Throughout the culture-defining concert series, which is being documented in movie form, Swift has conquered the stage in a host of monumental looks. Her Elie Saab Haute Couture tulle ballgown blooms into a dramatic organza skirt, and her minidresses and catsuits are designed by the likes of Versace, Roberto Cavalli, and Oscar de la Renta.

As we anticipate Swift’s next game-day appearance, keep scrolling to shop pieces from her outfit, along with more affordable options.

  • Buckle Up: The 15 Best Designer Belt Bags of 2023 Are Here

Buckle Up: The 15 Best Designer Belt Bags of 2023 Are Here

    [ad_1]

A quick history lesson for you: The fanny pack, a 1980s wardrobe staple, decided to rebrand itself. In 2021, the belt bag was born. That’s it.

I didn’t say redesign because the design is really just the same. Worn around your waist like a belt or slung over your shoulder like a bag, belt bags, and fanny packs are both convenient ways of carrying your belongings. I love a good handbag, but I will say handbags have their flaws, especially when you live in Manhattan—spending minutes at the Whole Foods self-checkout digging around for my wallet and hearing impatient coughs from the long line, hugging it to my chest when I’m taking the subway late at night, accidentally bag-slapping my fellow civilians on the sidewalk as I rush to hail a cab… And that’s where the belt bag steps in.

The fundamental difference between a fanny pack and a belt bag is the former’s level of sophistication. Just take the name itself. Would you really buy something named after your arse? No, and this is exactly why (okay, maybe not exactlyluxury designers decided to help with the rebranding and introduce designer belt bags.

Designer belt bags are essentially Bluetooth: hands-free, modern, and attached to a steep price tag. At first, I was skeptical of these bags (and Bluetooth, too), but after a Sunday of heavy-duty research, I was convinced. As belt bags are sleek and practical, I found myself tabs deep in inspiration to save my paychecks for. I also have taken the liberty of rounding up the best designer belt bags to share some of this inspiration.

And who knows, maybe designer belt bags will have a rebranding in 40 years that someone else will write about. But for now, keep scrolling to see the 15 best designer belt bags available now.

  • Beatrice Grannò Embodies Classic Italian Glamour in Valentino

Let’s talk about your look for the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

What I loved about that look is that it tells a story of sensuality that I like because it’s not upfront. It’s reserved, but it’s there. So sometimes through the gap of the dress, you can see my leg, but sometimes, you don’t. I love this kind of way of telling a story of sensuality. But also, I loved it because it is, in my opinion, what Italian fashion is, what it always was. So it’s chic but minimal but very definite and very strong. It doesn’t need that much—it’s there. I tend to have a very soft energy, so something that makes me feel more strong, it was just perfect.

Was it one that you tried on and instantly knew “This is the one,” or did you try many options?

I tried many looks from many brands, but for some reason, my eye would always go back to that one because that dress was one that we tried, but it didn’t fit. It was the most complicated one, but I kept going back to it.

You had such cool hair and makeup. What was the inspiration behind your glam look?

I think that we were going for more of a natural look for the makeup. And then for the hair, we wanted a wet look, which is something I’d never done before and was exciting. The glam team was so talented. Peter Gray did the hair, and it was so good. And also the makeup artist Karoline Karakeosian works with Valentino Beauty. With makeup, I don’t like to have too much on. I always love a natural look, but this was the idea to create a sort of wet effect.

  • Rihanna Broke the Oldest Style Rule In the Book At Her 35th Birthday Party

Rihanna Broke the Oldest Style Rule In the Book At Her 35th Birthday Party

    [ad_1]

As if Rihanna didn’t have enough to celebrate at the moment, between a record-breaking half time performance at the Super Bowl and a second baby on the way, she can also add turning 35 to the list. Naturally, the singer turned entrepreneur didn’t ring in another year as the world’s favorite billionnaire on the DL, at least not in the dressing department.

To mark the occasion, Rihanna was joined by A$AP Rocky, her best friend Melissa Forde, her brother, and more close friends and family at her go-to spot in L.A. Giorgio Baldi, where she showed up in four-inch, crystal-covered Louboutins aptly named the “Just Queen” sandals, an off-the-runway Bottega Veneta coat, vintage Gucci by Tom Ford accessories circa 2004 (sourced by the one and only Vintage By Misty), and a micro-mini look that defies fashion’s oldest rule: never wear white after Labor Day.

To clarify, we know that this particular style guideline is staler than the snacks we indulged in during the birthday girl’s epic show last Sunday. But it still goes to show that Rihanna continues to play by her rules and her rules only. To see her entire birthday look (as well as A$AP Rocky’s epic Loewe ensemble), keep on scrolling.

  • I Rarely Wear Black Jeans, But I’m Changing My Tune After Seeing These Outfits

I Rarely Wear Black Jeans, But I’m Changing My Tune After Seeing These Outfits

    [ad_1]

I was (fashionably) late to the jean party. My first foray into pants was experimenting with my mom’s old stirrup leggings, but beyond that, dresses and skirts were strictly my jam. Anything with separate legs felt restrictive and as far as hemlines were concerned, the shorter the better.

That all changed when I discovered vintage in high school. Turned onto the “joy of the hunt” by a friend, I became addicted to the adrenaline rush of discovering one-of-a-kind pieces. My previous grievances against pants were quickly forgotten when I fell for a pair of perfectly worn-in Levi’s. This was holy grail denim: buttery soft, slightly androgynous, and in the most perfect sky blue wash. I was hooked, and my repertoire expanded quickly: frayed cutoffs in lieu of miniskirts, indigo bootcut jeans over slip dresses. My sweaters were set aside in favor of oversized, distressed denim jackets. I’d turned into a true blue-jean baby.

Denim still factors heavily in my closet. I’m in jeans almost every day. Recently, I crossed over to the dark side. Black jeans create a totally different look, and I was keen to switch things up. Revamping my denim drawer made me feel like I was in high school again, chasing a high through different cuts and washes. If you’ve recently fallen into a denim rut, read on to revitalize your black denim spark.

21 Pairs of Kitten Heels Your Chic Grandma Would Approve of

    [ad_1]

Though they tend to fall in and out of favor, kitten heels are queen.

Of all the heels you can wear, they rank high in comfort and versatility and give a slight boost in stature without the infamous pain of stilettos. The style options are also endless: These tiny-but-mighty shoes have been worn with wildly opposed aesthetics, from summer maxi dresses to colorful ’80s-inspired windbreakers to newly-trending “motorcore” looks. They’ve also stood the test of time, with celebrities like Audrey Hepburn wearing them in the 1960s, Princess Diana sporting them in the late ’90s and Chanel sending them down the Fall 2023 runway.
