Nicole Young‘s time on Selling Sunset season 9 was cut short following an intense argument with costar Chrishell Stause that escalated out of control. Now, she’s opening up about her status with The Oppenheim Group, where she stands with the rest of the cast, and more.

The second episode of Selling Sunset season 9 found the cast together for dinner. However, after getting into an argument, Nicole made the mistake of mentioning Chrishell’s deceased parents, saying they were drug addicts. She was almost immediately kicked out of the party and thus off the show for the remainder of the season.

Nicole recently took to Instagram to host a Q&A session with her fans. One person asked who from the cast supported her after she was excluded from filming. She responded, “I wish I could say there were, HOWEVER, everyone at the OGroup who is not on Selling Sunset, I am friends with and supports me. That goes for all the OGroup offices.”

Nicole went on to mention the offices in Orange County and San Diego. She continued, “I know it looks like I’m a loner on my cast, which isn’t untrue, but my relationships with this company go sooooooo far beyond the cast and so much deeper with people outside the cast. The OGroup employs a ton of amazing people that I’m so grateful to call not only colleagues but true friends.”

Next, someone asked why “Chrishell gets away with so much.” The person also called her a “damn bully.” Nicole stated, “FEAR. And favoritism. No one wants to go against the woman who will destroy anyone in her path who doesn’t ‘get in line.’ And she uses me as an example of what she’ll do if you don’t.”

Someone else wanted to know about her status with the group, namely, where she stands with Amanza Smith and Mary Bonnet. According to Nicole, “Amazna? Definitely not. Girls-giving dinner was the end of my relationship with her.”

She continued, “Mary? We’re totally cool, but we’ll never be as close as we once were. When someone doesn’t have your back time and time again, you need to take note.”

Finally, someone asked about her current employment. This is notable because many assumed being essentially fired from the show meant the same for The Oppenheim Group. She debunked this, saying, “I still work at The Oppenheim Group. Getting ‘fired’ was just a dramatic storyline… one I wasn’t privy to until I saw the episode where the cast was told I was let go.”

  • Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause Calls Out Mary Bonnet’s Claims of Being in Danger With Chelsea, Plus Chrishell & Chelsea Not Invited to Premiere Party

Selling Sunset has returned for its ninth season, and as usual, the cast isn’t only selling luxury homes; instead, many of them are feuding with one another.

Recently, Chrishell Stause called out Mary Bonnet over claims that she felt in danger while in the presence of Chelsea Lazkani. Additionally, both Chrishell and Chelsea found themselves excluded from a recent premiere party for the show.

During a recent interview, Mary opened up about the scene from the show that took place at Bre Tiesi‘s party. She stated that her emotions weren’t the only problem and that certain things occurred that made her feel there was a chance she could have been in danger. Mary also said that some of the events from the party weren’t seen on Selling Sunset

Chrishell then took to Instagram to react to Mary’s interview, which was with US Weekly. She said, “I was there for all the on-camera and off-camera moments.”

The Selling Sunset star continued, “You were never in danger, girl. Alluding that you ever were regarding Chelsea is really dangerous rhetoric. Do BETTER.”

In other Selling Sunset news, on October 29, there was a premiere party for season nine of the hit series at Gravitas in Beverly Hills. Netflix didn’t host the party; instead, Bre did. According to a report from TMZ, Bre excluded both Chrishell and Chelsea from the guest list.

Sources told the outlet that Bre wanted the party to highlight what a great season the cast had, and the event organizers believed it would be best not to include Chrishell and Chelsea. This is because there is ongoing drama with them and multiple other cast members.

TMZ also learned that neither Chrishell nor Chelsea was aware that the premiere party was taking place, and that they probably wouldn’t have attended if they had known about it. Additionally, it appears that Nicole Young was also invited.

  • VIDEO: See Selling Sunset Season 9 Trailer! Chrishell Confronts Emma Over Boyfriend Blake, Amanza Feuds With Nicole as Mary’s Home’s Burglarized, Plus Newbie Sandra Vergara Comes in Hot

There has been considerable discussion about the upcoming ninth season of Netflix’s Selling Sunset. Now, the streaming giant has released a new trailer, which features not only the cast members making real estate deals, but also Emma Hernan and Chrishell Stause experiencing unexpected drama.

In addition to Emma and Chrishell, Selling Sunset season nine features Chelsea Lazkani, Nicole Young, Alanna Gold, Mary Bonnet, Amanza Smith, and Bre Tiesi. It also includes newcomer Sandra Vergara

The Selling Sunset season nine trailer begins with Bre saying, “The office has been a little savage,” as the cast is then seen walking into different properties in Los Angeles. From there, there’s a voiceover from one of the owners of the Oppenheim Group, saying, “I know there are still factions and frictions. If we can focus on real estate, this is our best year.”

From there, the drama between the cast begins as Emma discusses Blake Davis, whom she was dating at the time. However, it’s worth noting that they broke up in July 2025. Chelsea asks Emma, “What are you going to tell Chrishell when you’re engaged to Blake?”

Emma responds, “She fu***** hates him.” After this, the trailer shows Chrishell confronting Emma about her relationship. She says, “You’re in a relationship with this man stuck with a child.”

Additionally, the trailer teases the major clash between Nicole and Chrishell, which seemingly led to the former having a more limited presence on this season of the show.

Later in the preview, Mary can be seen discussing the break-in that occurred at her home, and she discusses how it made her feel unsafe and also forced her to “put things into perspective.”

The new season of Selling Sunset premieres on Netflix on October 29. Based on previous comments from the cast, they have already filmed the reunion for the season, and Nicole stated that she was only present for a short segment.

  • Selling Sunset’s Chelsea Claims Nicole Isn’t the Only Homophobic Cast Member

Selling Sunset’s Chelsea Claims Nicole Isn’t the Only Homophobic Cast Member

    [ad_1]

Chrishell Stause and Nicole Young have butted heads ever since Nicole replaced Christine Quinn as the newest villain of The Oppenheim Group in Selling Sunset Season 6. But their feud has never been more serious than the homophobic accusations in Season 8.

What did Nicole say that was homophobic on Selling Sunset?

Nicole was first accused of being homophobic toward Chrishell in Selling Sunset Season 7, when she claimed that Nicole had supported a homophobic comment toward her. “I was hoping the lesbian chick was off in Australia this season and not on our screens. Whatever her name is, I forgot. Nicole you look great!” a user commented on Nicole’s Instagram, to which Nicole responded, “Thank you!!” with a heart emoji.

The comment was brought up by host Tan France during the Selling Sunset Season 7 reunion where Chrishell’s friend and cast mate, Chelsea Lazkani, explained why Nicole’s response to the user was offensive toward Chrishell, who has been dating nonbinary singer G Flip since 2022. “When somebody identifies Chrisell through her sexuality in a derogatory way and then you comment back to it, you’re basically cosigning that message,” Chelsea said.

Nicole, for her part, defended herself, claiming that she didn’t know it was homophobic to call someone a “gay man” or a “lesbian woman.” Chrishell responded by telling Nicole she “hates” her.

“First of all, say whatever you want about me, I’m a tough bitch,” she said. “But don’t go after my partner. Ever. Listen, I will own it. I’ve been a bitch to you. I hate you. I own it… If you’re gonna literally go to homophobic people and cheer them on because they hate me for that reason, that is hate, Nicole.”

The drama was brought up again during Selling Sunset Season 8 when Nicole made an alleged dig toward Nicole in a Selling Sunset group chat after Selling Sunset was nominated for a GLAAD Award. “The show was nominated for a GLAAD award. Chrishell sent a text to the group thanking everyone for being supportive of her coming out on the show,” she recalled. “I think there was maybe a slight dig at Nicole,” cast member Amanza Smith explained to Jason Oppenheim in a scene.

In the text message, Chrishell wrote, “Coming out on the show was obviously maybe the most stressful thing ever. And dealing with so many relentless homophobes for years and having to deal with someone you cast on the show spreading hate about this. So this is SO nice. Thank you to everyone that has always been supportive — millions of people look up to you! It makes a difference — so I just wanted to say thank you. And congrats!”

Nicole, for her part, denied suggestions she was homophobic in her text back to the group. “I would like to point out that all of you who responded to this text did the EXACT same thing that I have been unfairly crucified for. You all ignored the accusation Chrishell clearly made toward me but simply responded to the positive aspects of her text,” Nicole wrote. “The double standard is bullshit. If anyone tries to claim that she didn’t mention my name? Well the woman who made the comment on my Instagram didn’t mention Chrishell’s name either.”

Nicole also maintained that her “likes” of negative comments toward Chrishell’s sexuality weren’t “intentional” supports of hate speech. “To me there are two options, you either are homophobic or you’re not and you were just so excited and wrapped up in your hate for me that you banded onto people that hated me and happened to be attacking me for my sexuality,” Chrishell responded to Nicole. “If you owned it I would be like, ‘OK.’ I would respect it and we could move on.”

After being urged by Jason and his brother, Brett Oppenheim, to “take accountability,” Nicole apologized to Chrishell. “It was a stupid mistake,” Nicole said. I fully support you. I am not homophobic. It tears me up that your or anyone else would think that because I am not. I know how hurtful it is. I am truly, deeply sorry.”

While Nicole and Chrishell seemed to have mended ties by the end of the season, Chrishell slammed Nicole in an Instagram Story the week before Selling Sunset Season 8 premiered after learning of a rumor she spread that cast mate Emma Hernan had an affair with a married man. “Disclaimer when you watch: Just know she spews a disgusting lie about a bestie that is categorically FALSE and SUPER damaging,” Chrishell wrote. “It is NOT TRUE. [And] @done_and_done_productions you are disgusting for blindsiding [my friend] with this to see with the world instead of letting her at LEAST defend herself with the TRUTH.”

Chelsea also blasted Nicole for bringing the rumor up on screen, as well as supported Chrishell’s claims that Nicole was both homophobic and transphobic. “@itsnicoleyoung You are the most diabolical piece of [trash] I’ve ever met, you wanna start a rumor about Emma because all the rumors about you are true. Okay let’s see how this works out for you….” Chelsea wrote. She continued by tagging Nicole, as well as rival cast mates Bre Tiesi and Mary Bonnet:  “You lie, placate, steal meanwhile your own [trash] has landed some of you in lawsuits. I’ve kept quiet until now, but this is not okay.”

In another slide, Chelsea wrote, “FYI: Nicole is not the only homophobic and transphobic cast member.”

Selling Sunset is available to stream on Netflix.
