Chase Marriott Bonvoy Bold, New Benefits and 60,000 Points + 1 Free Night Bonus

Chase and Marriott Bonvoy today announced new and enhanced benefits on the Marriott Bonvoy Bold^® Credit Card. The card still has no annual fee, and an elevated welcome bonus that can be worth up to 110,000 points.

Marriott Bonvoy Bold cardmembers now earn 2X points on every $1 spent on purchases at grocery stores and for rideshare, select food delivery, select streaming, and internet, cable, and phone services. Cardmembers also receive Automatic Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status every year, which comes with perks like Priority Late Checkout (when available) and 10% more points on stays toward free stays and Marriott Bonvoy experiences. Plus, cardmembers will also receive 5 Elite Night Credits every calendar year to help them achieve even higher Elite status in Marriott Bonvoy and unlocking more program benefits.

Additionally, the card now has a Travel Now, Pay Later feature for purchases between $100 to $5,000 made directly with an airline or at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy.

Marriott Bonvoy Bold Refresh

Marriott Bonvoy Bold is an entry level credit card that has no annual fee. It currently offers a welcome bonus of 30,000 points after you spend $1,000 on purchases in your first 3 months from your account opening.

The card has some basic benefits such as 3X points at Marriott hotels, 2x on other travel purchases, and 15 Elite Night Credits annually. But now some of these benefits have an expiration date of 7/10/2024.

The credit card page also notes that new enhancements are coming soon, adding that:

On 7/11/2024, Marriott Bonvoy Bold^® Credit cardmembers will no longer receive the following benefits with their card: Earn 2X points per $1 spent on other travel purchases; Receive 15 Elite Night Credits per calendar year, qualifying you for Silver Elite status.

Update: Based on information that was shared recently with people that have applied for the card, some of the changes include:

• 2X at grocery stores, rideshare, internet/cable/phone services as well as some food delivery and streaming services.
• 1X on other travel purchases (down from 2X)
• 5 Elite Night Credits per calendar year (down from 15)
