    New Restriction Added to Chase Ink Cash/Unlimited Cards Bonus

    The application page for the Chase Ink Business Cash and Chase Ink Business Unlimited cards now has new language that was probably added in recent weeks:

    “The new cardmember bonus may not be available to you if you have ever had this card or any other Chase for Business card without an annual fee. We may also consider factors pertinent to your business in determining your bonus eligibility.”

    It’s not clear if or when this restriction will be enforced. As least for now you can still get approved if you have had other no-fee Chase for Business cards.

    Chase Launches Tiered Chase Ink Cash Sign Up + Relationship Bonus – Doctor Of Credit

    Sign-up Bonus

    Chase has launched a new bonus on the Chase Ink Card that is a bit different to the normal offers we see from Chase on business cards. The sign up bonus is as follows:

    • Earn $350 after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months your account is open.
    • Plus, an additional $400 when you spend $6,000 on purchases in the first 6 months after account opening

    Total bonus is $750 after $6,000 in spend. Not nearly as good as the recent offer of $900 after $6,000 in spend. But you do have an additional three months to meet the spend requirement.

    Relationship Bonus

    The other change is a 10% relationship bonus when you have both this card and Chase Business Checking account on your first card anniversary. Sign bonus points do not count towards this 10% and neither do transferred points in from other Chase UR earning cards.

    Our Verdict

    The 10% relationship bonus is interesting, but even if you max out the 5% office supply store category you’d only get 12,500 bonus points and that doesn’t make up the difference from the previous $900 offer. There are currently two business checking bonuses:

    Chase used to offer a similar relationship bonus on the Chase Sapphire Preferred but that was removed many years ago. Hopefully that benefit stays when we see a higher sign up bonus on this card but for now we won’t be adding this new offer to the best credit card bonus page.

    Update 1/4/24: Newly generated referrals links are now showing the lower 75k offer. That would point to the 90k offer being pulled on the public platforms soon as well. We are seeing email 90k offers showing an end date of at least January 9th, so the public links will likely last at least that long (some are saying until January 21st).  Note: previously generated referral link still show 90k.

    Update 9/21/23: This offer is back now as a publicly available offer. Not (yet) available via referral links, though it’ll likely work to apply via referral link and then Secure Message them to get matched to the public offer.

    Our Verdict

    Previously this was available in branch only, now available online now. These are great offers with a relatively low spend requirement for a business card offer. We will add these to our list of the best credit card bonuses. You can match to these offers, more information here.
