They’ll be open regular hours that day, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please note that they’ll be closed on Thanksgiving.

The museum honors Captain C.B. “Sully” Sullenberger, who, with his crew, safely landed US Airways Flight 1549 in the Hudson River in New York, with no loss of life. This flight, known as the “Miracle on the Hudson,” had just taken off for Charlotte.

The centerpiece of the museum is the plane that Sullenberger piloted in the “Miracle on the Hudson” landing. The museum also teaches about the history of flight and the people who made it possible.

In addition, the museum features a plaza where you can view an assortment of planes, and watch planes take off, and a hands-on area, Honeywell Makerspace.

If cooking dinner doesn’t sound like a holiday to you, here’s a list of Charlotte area restaurants open on Thanksgiving, which is Thursday, November 27, 2025. Most of these restaurants have special Thanksgiving meals. Many will fill up early, so make sure to make reservations right away.

There are a few takeout options included in this list as well. If you’re not sure, just go to their website (links are included.) You should, in most cases, be able to order individual meals for takeout or delivery.

If you want to order a Thanksgiving dinner in advance, to heat up at home, that’s an option as well! Check out our list of Thanksgiving meals to order in advance.

These restaurants are in all price ranges. We’ve abandoned our “cheap stuff only” rule for this list. If you’re expecting “on the cheap” options, some won’t fit the bill! But if you value not cooking and cleaning enough, and just want to spend time with family, maybe you won’t mind splurging.

Chima Steakhouse will be offering up a Thanksgiving meal featuring a roasted turkey entrée with multiple sides for $68 per person, as well as their usual menu. Kids ages 7–11 are half-price, and kids 6 and under get a free meal.

ALDI has issued the opening volley in the 2025 Thanksgiving grocery wars.

The grocery store has announced in a press release that it’s offering a Thanksgiving feast for prices lower than last year, even though reports show that staples like meats, fruits and vegetables are more expensive than last year.

For just $40, shoppers can build a full spread for 10 with traditional Thanksgiving favorites, including the turkey and ingredients for nine sides.

This includes 21 total products and ingredients to dish out a 14-pound turkey, rolls, cranberry sauce, mac and cheese, stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie. All items that are part of the meal are purchased individually and marked on shelf.
