After a spectacular appearance at the Fashion Awards in London earlier this month, Amal Clooney is painting the town red again—er, rather, painting the town yellow! Attending the Los Angeles red carpet premiere of husband George Clooney’s upcoming film The Boys in the Boat, which he directed and produced, Amal wore an electric-yellow Atelier Versace gown.
If the runways are any indication, highlighter yellow is set to be a major color trend next year. Below, I included spring 2024 examples from Sergio Hudson, 3.1 Phillip Lim, and Ralph Lauren as proof. Scroll down to see how Amal Clooney wore the trend and shop similarly hued pieces for yourself.
What comes to mind when you think of white shirts? For me, it’s officewear. It’s the ultimate boardroom-approved item of clothing that always looks professional and put together. Words that don’t come to mind? Fun, festive, and party-ready. However, Jennifer Lopez made her white shirt look like all three adjectives.
In a new Instagram post that’s quickly racked up nearly half a million likes, J.Lo poses by a Christmas tree looking like the epitome of holiday cheer. She made a “boring” white poplin blouse look merry and bright by adding a beautiful brocade circle skirt, embellished belt, and fun shoes. I’ll be copying this look ASAP. Scroll down to shop for similar pieces.
In all honesty, I’ve been anticipating a shift of the pendulum away from baggy pants and jeans lately. It’s been the reigning pant trend for quite some time now, and a shift seems inevitable, but Anne Hathaway and Sydney Sweeney just pretty much solidified that the time has not come for baggy pants to fall from favor. In fact, their chosen pants proved quite the opposite.
Both actresses have been in NYC promoting their latest projects this week and both were photographed wearing very wide-leg pants. The word “baggy” doesn’t even do these pants justice. Hathaway wore a pair of white wide-leg pants with a purple cardigan while Sweeney wore ultra-wide-leg jeans with a black vest and floor-length coat. The shoes they wore hardly matter because you can barely see them…
One theory I have is that pants will get as big as possible before we revert back to skinny pants. Or big pants might be here to stay. Time will tell. In the meantime, keep scrolling to shop ultra-wide-leg pants for yourself.
Jason Kelce is as committed to flip-flops as he is football.
Before Kelce’s Philadelphia Eagles faced off against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, December 10, the official Eagles TikTok shared a video of the team’s pre-game day outfits. While many of Kelce’s fellow players dressed up in suits or wore trendy sneakers from Christian Louboutin, Kelce, 36, kept it simple in sweats and a pair of flip-flops — despite the brisk December weather.
Kelce topped his look off with the black Louis Vuitton duffle bag Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurtsgifted him last year.
Jordan Mailata — an offensive tackle for the Eagles — previously opened up about Kelce’s love of flip-flops on the November 3 episode of Jason and brother Travis Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast.
“What should I get him?” Travis, 34, asked Mailata, 26, in reference to Jason’s November 5 birthday. “Is Jason a big guy in the locker room? Does he let everybody know it’s his birthday?”
“Does he walk in with his birthday suit on?” Travis continued as Mailata explained that Jason isn’t really a suit guy and will probably have on sandals.
In September, Travis hilariously trolled Jason for wearing shorts and flip-flops at the premiere of his Prime Video special, Kelce. “You really got dressed up,” Travis joked, prompting Jason to explain that he was going to wear jeans, but his wife, Kylie, was “running late” and “forgot” his pants at home.
“Why didn’t Jason bring jeans for Jason?” Travis asked, and Jason simply quipped, “Because I was at football.” Jason continued, “I needed the jeans for after football, and I’m not gonna wear jeans all day. That doesn’t sound fun. I realize now that I cannot blame Kylie for this.”

While Jason looked casual for the big night, Kylie, for her part, was elegant in a white top paired with a gold silk skirt and pointed-toe pumps.

During the November 3 episode, Mailata and Jason also opened up about Hurts’ Louis Vuitton present, which marked Jason’s “first-ever” item from the French fashion house.
Fan-favorite NFL stars know how to command attention on and off the football field. When they’re not showing off their undeniable athleticism, Travis Kelce, Odell Beckham Jr., Joe Burrow, Russell Wilson and more have been known to show Us their winning wardrobes. Kelce — who has been making headlines for his romance with Taylor Swift […]
“That was amazing,” Jason said of the lavish gift as Mailata chimed in to agree. “Yeah, I’m not a big designer guy, [but] when we got those for Christmas, I was like, ‘That’s not bad … This is really nice,’” Mailata said.
Of all the countless celebrities who’ve modeled in the Pirelli Calendar in the past, the 2024 cast stand out. Photographed by Ghanaian visual artist Prince Gyasi in London and Ghana, this year’s 50th edition features icons like Naomi Campbell, Angela Bassett, Idris Elba, Amanda Gorman, Jeymes Samuel, Margot Lee Shetterly, King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II — as well as multihyphenate Teyana Taylor.
After getting her start as the choreographer for Beyoncé’s “Ring the Alarm” music video at the tender age of 15, Taylor has crafted an outstanding résumé as a singer, dancer, actress, creative director, and model, from her award-winning “Fade” video with Kanye West to her remarkable role in “A Thousand and One.”
The 32 year-old has even dipped her feet into styling, most recently working with Usher and NBA star Kyle Kuzma. “Since I was younger, I’ve always loved fashion and sports, even creating a lifestyle blog that Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul supported. I’ve always wanted to merge fashion and sports because I didn’t like how athletes were being dressed,” Taylor tells POPSUGAR. “I’m truly living my dream of giving, whether behind the scenes or publicly; I just want to give people what I wasn’t able to receive.”
As everything she touches turns to gold, it’s no surprise that Pirelli commissioned the Harlem-born star for this year’s calendar. “It felt so amazing because Pirelli is super iconic and when we grow up seeing things that we love, we would never think in a million years that we’d be a part of it,” she says of the project. “When I learned they wanted to shoot in Africa, I felt even better. I normally shoot in a studio or location within arm’s reach in my other projects. So, to go to the motherland where they had a garden of roses, a spaceship, and crazy hair and dress, they embodied who I was, Mother Alien.”
“They’re just intelligent, strong, and beautiful little ladies who know what they want, so I’m really excited to see how much more serious they get into fashion as they get older.”
Taylor shares that she wishes she could’ve brought her daughters to the shoot, as Junie and Rue are emerging style stars in their own right. In fact, both girls have a documented love for Rick Owens, Taylor shares. “Junie’s 7, Rue just turned 3, and she even had a custom Rick Owens mermaid costume for Halloween,” she says. “[Junie is] also an honorary Rick Owens worker, where she interns when she doesn’t have school. And she even went viral when she sat front row at his show. She is literally that girl and knows exactly where she’s going.”
Ahead, Taylor opens up to POPSUGAR about the Pirelli experience, her faith, her daughters’ impressive designer knowledge, and more.

One of the most highly anticipated films of the season, Poor Things, opened this week with Emma Stone at its helm. We actually don’t get to see Emma Stone‘s outfits on a regular basis, so it’s always a treat when she’s promoting something. Stone has been out and about in NYC as of late, wearing a plethora of cool, trend-forward looks. One of those looks provided a styling tip that I recommend taking with you this season.
For a screening of Poor Things earlier this week, Stone wore a camel-colored Kenzo jacket and miniskirt with suede knee boots in a similar hue and a tan Louis Vuitton bag. Camel has long held the distinction of being the most expensive-looking color, but there’s another expensive-looking color trend in town: chocolate brown. Because two expensive-looking colors are better than one, Stone topped her camel outfit off with a toggle-button chocolate-brown coat. One look at this combination has motivated me to wear it ASAP, so in that spirit, scroll to shop an assortment of affordable camel and chocolate-brown pieces to mix and match.
Selena Gomez showed off her rumored romance with Benny Blanco in the most fashionable way.
Gomez, 31, took to Instagram on Thursday, December 7, to display her latest jewelry. In the black-and-white snap, she held up her left hand with a diamond ring featuring the letter “B,” seemingly referencing Blanco, 35. Gomez wore the jewelry on her ring finger.
The “Lose You to Love Me” singer posted the pic hours after hinting that she is dating Blanco. She shared a selfie via her Instagram Story that showed her leaning against the shoulder of a mysterious man. Although the man’s face was cut out of the frame, fans were quick to speculate her companion was Blanco.
Later on Thursday, fan account @selenagomezbr2.0 shared a picture of Gomez and Blanco together. In the comments section, Gomez gushed, “He is my absolute everything in my heart.”

Elsewhere on social media, Gomez defended her relationship with Blanco to fans who were trolling her. “Then why has he been the best thing that’s ever happened to me. The end,” she replied to one user. “He’s still better than anyone I’ve been with. Facts,” she fired back to another.
Gomez continued: “If you don’t feel free to say whatever you want. But I will never allow your words to guide my life. I’m done. if you can’t accept me at my happiest then don’t be in [my] life at all.”

Earlier this week, Gomez seemingly confirmed her relationship status when pop culture account @popfactions posted that she was “rumored to be dating Benny Blanco.” Gomez liked the post and commented, “Facts.”
Gomez’s mom, Mandy Teefey, also follows Blanco on Instagram.
Blanco and Gomez first connected in 2015 when they collaborated on her songs “Same Old Love” and “Kill Em With Kindness.” They worked together again on her latest drop, “Single Soon,” which Gomez released in August.
The heart wants what it wants — and for Selena Gomez, she’s living that single life. The Only Murders in the Building star frequently shares relatable TikTok videos about her relationship status with her 40 million followers, whether she’s creating her own laugh-out-loud content or lip-syncing to audio clips bemoaning her dating life. “Last time […]
At the time, Gomez took to Instagram to reveal that the single girl anthem was written “a while back.”
“Since I’m not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer. SINGLE SOON. August 25th. Presave it now. 😘,” she wrote at the time.

In June, she joked about her love life via TikTok.
“I’m single,” she hilariously yelled to soccer players while watching a game with her friends. “The struggle man lol,” she captioned the post.
Heather Rae El Moussais finding new ways to honor her and husband Tarek El Moussa’s 10-month-old son, Tristan.
The Selling Sunset star, 36, revealed via Instagram on Wednesday, December 6, that got a tattoo of her little one’s name behind her ear. The moniker was placed right below a heart.
“Before & after Tristan 🤍👉🏻 …it’s the little things 🥹,” Heather captioned a photo of the new ink next to a picture of herself with Tarek, 42, while seemingly pregnant.
Heather also took to her Instagram Stories to share videos of herself getting the tattoo, which was crafted by artist Kareem Masarani. She laid down on the table as Tarek, 41, narrated the big moment.
“Got a little something today,” she wrote over the clips. “Got my little love’s name on me.”
Heather and Tarek welcomed Tristan in January after tying the knot in October 2021. Tarek is also the father of Taylor, 13, and Brayden, 8, whom he shares with ex-wife Christina Hall.
Since announcing her pregnancy in July 2022, Heather has been candid about the ups and downs of parenthood. In October, the reality star revealed that she had been diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder.
“I remember saying to my assistant, ‘I feel like I’m dead,’” she toldToday.com at the time. “My brain was so tired. My body was so tired. I was exhausted all the time and no amount of sleep could make it better.”
Courtesy of Heather Rae El Moussa/Instagram
Heather initially attributed the issues to “mommy brain” but was later diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease by her doctor: an autoimmune disorder that affects the thyroid gland, per the Mayo Clinic. Symptoms of the condition can include fatigue, muscle aches, joint pain and problems with memory. (She has since started medication.)
Motherhood, however, isn’t all challenges. Heather exclusively told Us Weekly in June that she is “obsessed” with being a mom and noted that she is learning every day despite already being a stepmom to Taylor and Brayden. “Going through the newborn stage and having a baby is a completely different ballgame,” she told Us.

“At first it’s chaos, right? You have this new baby at home you’re trying to figure out everything and you’re postpartum,” she continued. “Everything’s different. But I did not think I’d be this obsessed and in love with him. I knew I would love him, obviously, but it’s, like, this obsession and love. It’s so hard to even leave him and go run errands. It’s hard to go to the gym.”
Heather added that it didn’t take long for motherhood to completely change her for the better. “I’m definitely more calm and more patient and just more loving overall,” she shared. “And I’m not letting things upset me and bother me. Like if something stressful is going on, or people are being negative and talking s–t out in public, I’m kind of like, ‘You know what? Whatever?’ Because my peace for Tristan is more important.”
Taylor Swiftknows it ’tis the damn season for cozy winter chic when it comes to fashion.
The pop star, 33, rocked a stunning plaid ensemble while out and about in New York City on Tuesday, December 5, featuring a single-breasted coat and matching skirt. She paired the Evermore-inspired vibe with a black top, stockings and a pair of black pumps. Swift wore her golden locks loose around her shoulders and sported her signature red lip as she made her way through Midtown.
Swift’s night in the Big Apple comes just two days after she made an appearance in Wisconsin on Sunday, December 3, to cheer on boyfriend Travis Kelce as his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, faced off against the Green Bay Packers. Swift was once again dressed for chillier temperatures at the event, donning an oversized red teddy coat by Stella McCartney on top of a black turtleneck and mini wrap skirt by Louis Vuitton.
Swift attended the game at Lambeau Field alongside Brittany Mahomes, wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The women took the game in from a private suite as they matched in black and red ensembles with Brittany, 28, sporting a bomber jacket with her husband’s jersey number emblazoned on the back.
Taylor Swift has a big reputation in the fashion industry. Whenever Swift releases a new album, her style famously changes to match its respective vibe. From whimsical dresses to sequined getups, we can’t get enough of her ever-changing fashion eras. When she first dropped her self-titled debut album in 2006, we were blessed with cowgirl […]
After Swift showed up at the game, eagle-eyed fans were quick to speculate if Swift’s fuzzy coat was on loan from Brittany, who was seen wearing a similar garb at a Chiefs game in 2022.
Sunday’s game was Swift’s first one back since she attended the Chiefs vs. Los Angeles Chargers showdown in October. The singer has since been in South America kicking off the international leg of her Eras Tour.
Swift and Kelce, 34, have been romantically linked since September. The twosome have both flown around the globe to visit each other while busy with their respective careers and have been coordinating their schedules to spend as much time together as possible. Kelce traveled to Argentina in November to watch Swift perform at an Eras Tour concert, while Swift flew to Kansas City last week to spend time with Kelce just one day after wrapping up her three sold-out concerts in Brazil.

“They have very detailed plans coming up while she’s on tour and he has games,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in November. “Taylor and Travis have the next few months completely laid out. They don’t want to start their relationship off with big gaps [in time spent apart]. They’re trying to be as much like a regular couple as possible.”

For now, the pair are managing their long-distance dynamic and planning for a romantic getaway sometime after the holidays.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are all anyone can talk about. Swift and Kelce were first linked in July 2023 when the Kansas City Chiefs tight end shared he attempted to ask Swift out after attending her Eras Tour. “I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I […]
“Taylor and Travis know the next few months will be a whirlwind,” the insider continued. “They can’t wait to get a break so they can run off to a beach together and cut themselves off from the rest of the world, at least for a little while.”
Anyone who’s visited Hailey Bieber’s Instagram feed during Halloween knows that the model and entrepreneur loves a good holiday, especially when it means dressing to a theme. And now that we’ve entered into December territory, it appears that her outfits have switched over to another holiday. “Christmas glitter,” she captioned an IG slideshow on Sunday, showcasing one of the chicest festive looks of the year thus far.
To celebrate the holiday season’s arrival, Bieber chose a long-sleeved minidress made of bone-colored satin from Khaite, which was paired with matching sparkly tights, a Prada top-handle bag, Balenciaga pumps, and a black velvet hair bow from Emi Jay. But while her accessories certainly finished off the look, her dress was no doubt the star of the show, especially given how on-trend satin is at the moment. After a buzzy showing on the spring/summer 2024 runways at Tory Burch, Altuzarra, Carven, Louis Vuitton, and more, the luxurious material was destined to become a major deal in the year ahead. Now that Bieber’s gone and stamped it with a Rhode Raspberry Jelly Peptide Lip Tinted kiss, any last doubts there were about the trend’s popularity in 2024 were squashed for good.
Below, check out Bieber’s on-trend holiday ‘fit and shop the fabric everyone will be talking about and wearing post NYE.
Without a doubt, 2023 has been Sofia Richie’s year. Sure, she’s been in the spotlight for years, but ever since her wedding to Elliot Grainge in April, which took social media by storm, she—and her impeccable sense of style—have been the talk of the fashion world. In fact, we were lucky enough to have her as our Who What Wear cover star in August.
Richie’s elegant and timeless yet trend-forward aesthetic has had a major influence over what people wear since she rose to It-girl status in the spring, and that’s showing no signs of changing. From her Chanel-clad wedding to her off-duty looks consisting of Khaite and The Row (and more Chanel), Richie delivers one chic outfit after another. So needless to say, it was a challenge to narrow it down to her ten best outfits of the year, but narrow it down I did.
Scroll on to find out what I think are Richie’s top ten looks of the year (so far) and shop pieces inspired by her luxuriously cool style. (For the record, I didn’t include her wedding-day outfits in this ranking, as they kind of have an unfair advantage.)
Sure, Los Angeles has always had the Oscars and Golden Globes, but us West Coasters can’t help but feel jealous every time fashion month comes along. Fashion editors in L.A. have typically had to travel far and wide to attend top fashion shows, but Balenciaga made an exception this weekend.
On Saturday afternoon, the brand staged a runway show on a picturesque palm tree–lined street with a perfect view of the Hollywood sign. Notable attendees included new brand ambassador Nicole Kidman as well as a host of other A-listers such as Kim Kardashian, Tracee Ellis Ross, Kendall Jenner, Elsa Hosk, and more. Scroll down to see what everyone wore to Balenciaga’s first L.A. show.
Emily Ratajkowskiwas seen out in New York City on Friday, December 1, wearing an outfit that could have been worn in the warmer months — were it not for the massive coat she threw on top.
The 32-year-old model wore a navy blue cropped T-shirt with a red and white design on the front. She paired this with baggy cargo pants that fell below her belly button, a pair of black and white Speedcat OG + Sparco Driving Puma sneakers and a reversible sheepskin coat from Mango. The cozy coat is still available for purchase, and is one of the brand’s most expensive items at $1,999.99.
Ratajkowski topped the look off with a pair of sunglasses and small hoop earrings. She wore minimal makeup, with her hair down and parted in the middle.
The crop top in question has the words “DIMONIS DE SANT JOAN” written on the front. The Sant Joan festival is celebrated every year in Spain on June 24, and marks the birth of St. John the Baptist.

Whether Ratajkowski attended the festival or not, the summer shirt makes a surprisingly good addition to a cold weather wardrobe — provided that a larger-than-life coat is added on top.
This is not the first time Ratajkowski has been spotted wearing the gray sheepskin coat from Mango. She wore the piece for the first time in November while out walking in New York with her son, Sly, 2. On that day, the My Body author opted for a casual look in a pair of black Danzy sweatpants, neon green Loewe Cloudtilt sneakers, a slouchy Loewe purse and Prada sunglasses.
Emily Ratajkowski has an endless amount of sheer dresses in her closet. Ratajkowski has never been one to shy away from flaunting her figure — whether it’s posing for a nude photoshoot or strutting through streets in a see-through dress, which she does on a regular basis. One of her most eye-catching ensembles came at […]
She is also no stranger to wearing a crop top in cold weather. Most recently, Ratajkowski was photographed on November 24 wearing a bralette underneath an open cardigan and leather coat, baring her midriff despite chilly autumn temperatures. She paired that look with belted baggy pants, heeled black boots and a black Hermes shoulder bag.

Earlier that same month, Ratajkowski wore a black long sleeve turtleneck crop top from Mirror Palais with a pair of low rise belted baggy pants. She stuck to a similar outfit formula by pairing this with an open sheepskin robe coat and black and white Puma sneakers.
The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater celebrated its 65th anniversary with an opening night gala that brought out Hollywood’s elite including actress Cynthia Erivo who co-stars in “Wicked” alongside Ariana Grande. The sparkling embellishment and flowing train added interest, as did the two-strand pearl necklace she wore wrapped around her neck. The singer accessorized with several pearl and hoop earrings and showed off a bejeweled manicure.
Other notable stars in attendance included honorary chair and “The View” co-host Sunny Hostin, actress Bianca Lawson, and model Damaris Lewis. Hostin wowed in a ruffled tulle gown while Lawson looked holiday-ready in a green velvet suit styled with a lace-trimmed top. Lewis paired a fringe miniskirt with a zippered patchwork jacket, bringing the look together with a braided bun and pointy-toe pumps.
The performance centered around the transcendent Black American cultural masterpiece “Revelations” performed with a live choir and orchestra, as well as a dance tribute to iconic Artistic Director Emerita Judith Jamison choreographed by Hope Boykin. Celebrating Jamison’s landmark 80th year with the company, the homage was set to live renditions of “Feeling Good” and “Both Sides Now” each performed by Erivo. The event marks the beginning of Ailey’s annual holiday engagement at New York City Center from November 29 to December 31, 2023. The five-weeek program will feature “Revelations” along with the world premiere of dances “Me, Myself and You” and “Century.”

When celebrities choose to wear an affordable item, we tend to take notice. Seeing as Hollywood has access to the very best in everything (the best facialists, manicurists, and of course, stylists), it should come as no surprise that the wardrobe’s of the A-list would be equally as exclusive. And for the most part, they are. Celebs make headlines for wearing the latest designer It bag and those designers also clamor to have famous faces wear their collections. In other words, most celebs have their pick of luxury labels, but they love an affordable fashion find just like us because, well, sometimes the cheaper option really is the best.
Recently we’ve noticed some of the best-dressed stars in wallet-friendly pieces, so we figured it was worth sharing. From the $10 tights Taylor Swift wore all over NYC to the sneakers Jennifer Lawrence just stepped out in that could be the next It pair, these are the under-$150 items celebrities are prioritizing right now.
Emily Ratajkowski is the queen of laidback NYC street style. While she certainly has excellent red-carpet moments that get people talking, her style really shines when she’s off-duty. That’s when she compiles outfits that are at once relatable, cool, and on-trend. Naturally, her most recent looks are no exception.
EmRata wore the same pair of Puma shoes twice this week: the Speedcat OG + Sparco Driving Shoes ($100). One day, she paired the shoes with an extra-cozy furry coat, and then later wore them with her favorite North Face puffer jacket. Now that they have EmRata’s stamp of approval, I have a feeling these sneakers will be selling out in no time. Scroll down to shop her exact shoes.
The celebrity makeup artist and glam expert — who has worked with everyone from Gigi Hadid and Shay Mitchell to Camila Cabello and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and has his own cosmetics company — exclusively opened up to Us Weekly about his “unexpected” skincare secret: juicing.
Ta discovered the beauty benefits of juicing through his recent partnership with Pressed Juicery, which helped get him through New York Fashion Week earlier this year. “My favorite Pressed Juice is the Pressed Juicery 7-Day Simple Cleanse,” he told Us. “I love this because when I have a long week of being on set or at the office, I am not able to eat as healthy as I would like to. Starting my day with a bottle of Simple Cleanse allows my body to reset first thing in the morning.”
He continued, “Juicing is a great for clear skin because when you are putting goodness in your body, you really are renewing your skin from inside out. Simple Cleanse has 25 percent of your daily vitamin C in one bottle. What you put in your body is absolutely reflected in your skin.”
In addition to juicing, Ta dished on his favorite tips, trends and hacks.

What are your thoughts on TikTok giving every beauty trend a name?
“I absolutely love TikTok giving beauty trends a name because it encourages people to try new makeup products and techniques that they wouldn’t otherwise. People can then see what products/techniques work for their face, and which ones do not.”
Patrick Ta and Camila Cabello.Stefanie Keenan/Getty Images
What is your favorite makeup trend this year?
“My favorite makeup trend this year is the Strawberry Girl trend! I just launched a new Patrick Ta Beauty blush in the shade ‘She’s Wanted’ that gives you a beautiful berry effect. It looks like you’ve just come back from vacation with a natural all-over flush.”
What makeup on a client has been your favorite this year and why?
“My favorite makeup on a client this year was on Gigi Hadid for the NMACC Gala in Mumbai in April. I loved this look because I feel like it reflected the makeup that I love doing which is very bronzy. It also allowed me to travel and experience a new culture.”
Amy Sussman/Getty Images
What is your favorite makeup look to do?
“Skin and overall complexion are my favorite things to focus on when doing makeup. My preference really is doing a look where I focus on the skin and then do either a bold lip or bold eye.”
What would you say is the proper way to apply makeup? Foundation first?
“It really depends on the look. If I am doing a bold and smokey eye, I start with the eye and then do foundation. If I am doing more of a soft and natural eye, then I would start with the foundation.”
How has your own makeup technique evolved through the years?
“My makeup technique has evolved tremendously over the years. My career began at the MAC counter doing really heavy makeup and then I moved to Hollywood where I was working with models and actresses — then my technique became more natural. I then started working with more musicians/singers, which led back to bolder looks. Currently, I think my technique is now in the perfect in-between which is more everyday, red carpet makeup.”
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley andPatrick Ta.Michael Kovac/Getty Images for Moet & Chandon
For people who aren’t very familiar with doing their own makeup, what is the best way to start?
“The best way to start is to find earth tones colors that look best on you and accentuate your natural beauty. Just start from there.”

How often should we switch out our foundation, eyeshadows, beauty brushes?
“I think a Beauty Blender or beauty blender-like sponge is the most important makeup tool to swap out if you can’t clean it, or if it has rips or tears. I think that brushes can have a longer lifetime depending on how well you take care of them.”
While some shoe trends are major and in a category all their own (Mary Janes, for example), others are more subtle and specific. The ones I’m here to discuss today fall into the latter category. For quite some time now, most of the heeled knee boots you’d encounter featured a block heel and a round or square too, but Hailey Bieber just confirmed that there’s a new knee boot trend circulating, and it’s far fancier.
While out and about in L.A. one night this week, Bieber wore a sweater as a dress with a pair of pointed-toe stiletto-heel knee boots. While their more casual block-heel counterparts aren’t “out”, per se, the style that Bieber wore feels fresher right now. And you can’t go wrong investing in a pair, as boot trends tend to stick around for awhile. Keep scrolling to shop a few pairs of stunning stiletto knee boots you’ll want to wear for years.
I can’t be the only one who’s feed on every social media platform is currently home to a seemingly endless assortment of ’90s Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy photos. Not that I’m complaining—my Instagram Saved folder is just as packed with said images. Chic, sophisticated, and always dressed to the nines in a seemingly effortless manner, Bessette-Kennedy is the modern woman’s style icon for a reason. So anytime that I find an item that’s even remotely similar to one she frequented back then, I have to buy it. End of story.
Well, that’s exactly what happened today when I was scrolling through J.Crew and stumbled across a $25 tortoiseshell acetate headband that looks shockingly similar to the style Bessette-Kennedy wore on repeat, either with her corn-blonde hair worn straight and down or tied up in her signature chignon. (I saw on TikTok that she was rumored to have bought hers at C.O. Bigelow, an iconic New York City pharmacy in the West Village.) Of course, I ordered one right away and will probably be back for its Kelly green alternative. Follow my lead after looking through some of Bessette-Kennedy’s best headband-clad street-style looks.
