Taylor Swift Rarely Wears Designer Logos But Made an Exception for This It Bag

    [ad_1]

I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but Taylor Swift doesn’t really do flashy designer items. She also doesn’t do campaigns for designer brands, unlike most celebs of her caliber. If I had to guess why, I’d say that it’s because she wants to remain relatable to her millions of fans, most of whom are not celebrities. From time to time, she does incorporate some well-chosen designer items into her wardrobe.

Last night, while heading to a recording studio in NYC, Swift carried a Saint Laurent Le 5 à 7 Supple Hobo Bag on her arm. The slouchy tote is a newer iteration of the brand’s original Le 5 à 7 shoulder bag, which became an instant sensation when it made its debut in 2021. The larger, sloucher hobo bag has also become an It bag in its own right, and is carried by celebs like Hailey Bieber and Laura Harrier. Swift opted for the bag in a rich tan shade, and this isn’t the first time she’s carried the bag—she’s been photographed with it on several occasions this fall and winter.

The bag, which she paired with a camel coat, sweater dress, and Gucci knee-high horsebit boots (for another chic dose of designer), is likely to remain a staple in her wardrobe for some time, considering that she’s been known to carry the same bags over and over. See—she’s just like us!

Keep scrolling to shop Swift’s Saint Laurent Le 5 à 7 Supple Hobo Shoulder Bag in every sumptuous color.

  • Florence Pugh Just Wore the Shoe Trend That's Coming for Your Favorite Flats

Florence Pugh Just Wore the Shoe Trend That's Coming for Your Favorite Flats

    [ad_1]

Sorry to all you flats lovers who experienced pure joy in 2023 when styles of the ballet and Mary Jane variety were all anyone wanted to wear. Heels are slowly but surely making a comeback, and now that one particular ’90s style has been spotted on Florence Pugh, I have no doubt that its arrival on the 2024 charts will be a splashy one.

On the day after the Golden Globes—where Pugh wore a custom red Valentino gown and Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany & Co. jewelry—the Dune actress was spotted in West Hollywood after a shopping trip at Fred Segal. For the bit of retail therapy, Pugh wore all black, including a bomber jacket, straight-leg jeans, cat-eye sunglasses, and a chic pair of point-toe stiletto boots à la the ones that so many off-duty models and actresses wore nonstop in the ’90s. But she’s not the only one who’s been donning the growing boot trend. From Hailey Bieber to Kendall Jenner, A-listers aren’t shying away from tall, skinny-heeled boots for the year ahead.

While the winter weather keeps your flats away in storage, snag a pair of stiletto boots below to replace them (for now), and while you’re at it, check out Pugh’s shopping-day ‘fit.

At Refinery29, we’re here to help you navigate this overwhelming world of stuff. All of our market picks are independently selected and curated by the editorial team. If you buy or click on something we link to on our site, Refinery29 may earn commission.

Selena Gomez has a (much-appreciated) habit of being seen in affordable accessories perhaps most notably when her Only Murders in the Building character, Mabel, wears Rellery necklaces. The multi-hyphenate star made yet another case for budget-friendly fashion last night at the Golden Globes when she turned heads in a fiery-red dress by Giorgio Armani Privé and ruby-red Christian Louboutin slingback heels. Okay, maybe those weren’t exactly cheap. But as soon as she stepped off the red carpet, Gomez grabbed ahold of JW PEI’s signature Gabbi handbag in a brand-new $129 crystal iteration.

Right now, JW PEI is holding its New Year Sale, which features an extra 12% off sitewide with code 23END12 (including the Gabbi crystal handbag), BOGO 30% off with code 23END30, and free shipping on $120+ orders. That’s celebrity style at bargain prices!

One of the best things about the awards season is that there’s always sure to be something that takes you by surprise—e.g., one project could secure every single award or drama that ensues backstage (or sometimes onstage). But for Who What Wear editors, what always keeps us on our toes comes back to the moment when celebrities step onto the red carpet. We never know what people will wear, what trends will emerge, or what red carpet-looks will go viral. Sadly, though, in recent years, we’ve been in a bit of a dry spell when it comes to awards show style that, well, surprises

Don’t get us wrong, we will always love a pretty red carpet look, but there’s something to be said about those willing to take risks, especially when you’re dressing up for an event as formal as the Golden Globes! It seems that so many celebrities are worried about whether they’ll land on the “best dressed” list that they forget to enjoy the getting dressed up part. However, that wasn’t the case with one star this year: Kylie Jenner. While one might argue she wasn’t necessarily “fully dressed” (wait until you see her ultra-sheer lace gown), nonetheless, her presence was a welcome shift from the sea of cliché gowns.

Many did not know Jenner would be in the audience at the Golden Globes since she did not walk the red carpet. However, she was there during the ceremony to support her beau, Timothée Chalamet, which quickly captured the attention of the internet. Although most of the buzz did surround the on-screen kiss they shared, we were more enthralled with their looks for the evening. Frankly, you won’t blame us once you see them for yourselves! Keep scrolling to see what Chalamet and Jenner wore to the Golden Globes…

Lastly, we’d be remiss if we didn’t at least mention all of the sequins, appliqués, and embellishments spotted on the Golden Globes red carpet. While we can always expect celebrities to wear sparkly things for an awards ceremony, with so many of the looks featuring ultra-pretty details, it’s clear the girls wouldn’t miss out on their chance to dress up.

The 2024 award season is officially here and it all kicks off with the 81st Golden Globes. Your favourite names in film and television are gathering at the Beverley Hilton hotel in California to celebrate the best and the biggest achievements in the world of on screen entertainment. But of course, before they sit down for the three-hour award ceremony, celebrities will strut down the 2024 Golden Globes red carpet.

Unsurprisingly, Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” is leading the nominations with the potential to win nine Globes. While critics and fans are projecting the global phenomenon to cleanly sweep the victories, we can’t forget about the other acclaimed titles from the past year. Among the other notable mentions are “Oppenheimer”, “Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse”, “Past Lives” and television series, “The Last of Us”.

Filipino-American comedian Jo Koy will be front and centre as Golden Globe Awards 2024 host. Although he’s no stranger to sold out stadiums, cameras and massive crowds during his comedy shows, this will be an entirely different feat as his first major award show hosting gig.

If you’re looking to tune into the glamour of the evening in Australia, the 2024 Golden Globes red carpet is kicking off at 11am o Stan. However, if you’re just looking for the most stunning looks of the show, we’ve put together a rolling gallery of the best looks from the evening.

As the first of the major award shows of the season, tonight’s Golden Globes are nothing if not something to celebrate the arrival of. It’s a good thing that Hollywood’s A-list actors, directors, songwriters, and more are so skilled at dressing for celebratory occasions—them and their talented stylists, of course. As comfortable as they are in the director’s chair, in front of the camera, and, in nominee Taylor Swift‘s case, onstage in front of hundreds of thousands of fans, they’re just as natural and at ease on the red carpet, draped in straight-off-the-runway Prada and custom Valentino.

The first attendees of the night are already proving this to be true, with Hunter Schafer arriving in Prada and Julia Garner going with Dior for the award show ahead. Those are just the early birds. As the evening continues, we’ll be reporting on the chicest, most jaw-dropping looks from the 2024 Golden Globes red carpet, so don’t click away. There’s a whole lot more to come below.

Jennifer Lawrence Just Wore the Elevated Jacket We'll All Buy in 2024

    [ad_1]

A new year calls for fresh outfit inspiration, and one of our favorite celebrities is already leading the charge. Jennifer Lawrence was pictured polishing up her casual outfit in the most 2024 way. Predicted by the runways to be a major trend next season, Lawrence proved she’s ahead of the fashion game with her excellent styling of a black leather blazer by The Row

A supremely chic outerwear option, a leather blazer combines the elegance of a classic blazer with the refined sheen and expensive smoothness of leather. Styling a denim and leather pairing, the actress kept her outfit looking casual yet elevated through her clever layering of textures. Completing her look with banana-milk yellow slippers (also by The Row) and black wide-leg trousers, Lawrence’s casual outfit provided a template for comfortable yet stylish winter dressing.

Kate Hudson Just Wore the Controversial Wedge-Boot Trend—Thoughts?

    [ad_1]

I know the term “controversial” is often bandied about in the fashion space, but this time, I mean it seriously. Wedge boots truly are a polarizing topic among fashion lovers. Are they cool? Are they “out”? Well, if Kate Hudson has anything to say about it, the trend has some serious legs.

Photographed leaving Today in New York City this week, Hudson pulled off the contentious shoe trend with ease. She styled her wedge boots with a fantastic Marni coat that’s giving me major Penny Lane vibes. She finished the look with a striped Gucci sweater and a printed Etro bag. Lady Gaga Made Leggings Look Posh With These Highly Unexpected Shoes

It’s not often we see Lady Gaga in casual outfits. If she’s photographed, she’s usually dressed to the nines in something like a fresh-off-the-runway Versace number. This week, however, we got a glimpse at her off-duty style and it’s just as chic as you’d expect.

Spotted in Malibu with her boyfriend Michael Polansky, Lady Gaga wore Alo Yoga leggings with a surprising shoe choice: knee-high stiletto boots by Larroudé. I don’t know about you, but I typically pair my leggings with casual sneakers or flip-flops—I haven’t even thought of styling them with fancier shoes! But thanks to Lady Gaga’s new outfit, I’m definitely willing to expand my sartorial horizons. Scroll down to see how she styled leggings in Malibu and shop similar boots for yourself.

As I type this, I’m wrapped up in a coat and a pair of boots—yes, it sometimes gets cold in L.A.! Kendall Jenner, on the other hand, is living her best life on a tropical beach vacation. I can’t decide what I’m most envious of: her scenic warm-weather trip or her beautiful ivory gown from Elsa Hosk’s brand, Helsa

On Wednesday, Jenner posted a series of Instagram photos from her trip, including one with Hailey Bieber. “Go love on the people you hold close to your heart, and don’t waste a second,” she captioned the post. In less than two hours, the post racked up over three million likes and 8000 comments, so it’s well on its way to viral fame. As for her outfit, Helsa’s Hilma Gown ($1200) is sadly already sold out, but I’ve included some alternative dresses that are just as pretty. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never been very adventurous when it comes to sneakers. I have been re-purchasing the same styles for decades now, including Superga Cotu sneakers and Nike Cortez shoes—both in white. But Emily Ratajkowski‘s newest outfit just convinced me to seriously consider expanding my horizons when it comes to sneaker trends.

Photographed at the airport in New York City returning from her holiday vacation, EmRata wore Puma’s Speedcat OG + Sparco Driving Shoes ($100) in a fire-engine red hue. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: red is the It color right now, so it was inevitable that the trend would spread to the sneaker category. Sofia Richie Wore the $98 Jeans That Fashion Girls Know Are Better Than Designer

    [ad_1]

Ask any true fashion girl for a list of their most prized sartorial possessions and nine times out of ten, one item on said list will be a pair of perfect 501 Levi’s jeans. Maybe they were scored at a flea market in Paris or an IYKYK online vintage shop, or perhaps, they were bought new and personally worn in until they were stretched and softened to perfection. No matter where they were sourced or what form they were in when they were purchased, Levi’s will always become a cherished and frequently worn wardrobe item, more so even than any pair of expensive, designer jeans.

For proof, see Sofia Richie Grainge‘s latest denim-clad outfit, which she posted to her Instagram on New Year’s Eve. The newlywed who’s recent wedding looks were all custom Chanel could have any pair of jeans she wanted, and yet, she chose ones that cost just $98. That’s the power that Levi’s 501 jeans hold over the fashion crowd. We’re all smitten (and not fighting it either). With her oversize pair of light-wash 501s, Richie Grainge added a white Khaite tee and Bottega Veneta’s celeb-favorite Andiamo bag in a soft shade of butter yellow.

Below, see what all the hype’s about by shopping some of the best, most lauded Levi’s available today. Or if you’re already a loyal fan, double up on your favorite pairs. After all, there’s no such thing as too much denim, especially when Levi’s jeans are involved.

The Elegant Color Every Celeb Will Be Wearing in 2024

    [ad_1]

The spring 2024 runway collections were stocked full of trends, from sophisticated takes on sheer to dramatically overstuffed handbags, but out of all of them, none made quite as impactful of a splash as oxblood (otherwise known as black cherry, merlot, or burgundy), the shade of red on every fashion person’s lips (and in their closets) right now. Found at Hermès, Gucci, Valentino, Versace, Tom Ford, and then some, the elegant yet moody hue is no doubt campaigning to be the color of the year.

Helping out on the campaign trail are celebs, who’ve come out in droves to support the rise of oxblood, wearing it on red carpets, to fashion shows, and on the streets of cities like New York and London. And since the spring collections haven’t even arrived in stores yet, I can only imagine that the best A-list burgundy looks are still to come. Scroll down to check out the chicest examples so far of celebs wearing 2024’s color of the year.

I'm in My 20s and Jen Aniston Is in Her 50s, but I'd Wear Her Chic Outfits

    [ad_1]

We can all agree Jennifer Aniston has been serving Pinterest-worthy looks since the ’90s. Now in her 50s, Aniston has cemented her signature style as unfussy, chic, and thankfully for us, totally copy-able. Although I’m in my 20s, I find myself and my peers looking to Aniston’s paparazzi photos for fashion inspiration. Most recently, she’s been seen in some especially easy to recreate looks, hence the inspiration for this story. The stunning asymmetric Bottega Veneta midi dress she wore on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon paired with the strappy Saint Laurent heels is one ensemble I’d like to steal for myself. It’s basically the epitome of how to nail the little black dress look. In addition to press appearances, she has proven that her street style is attention-worthy as well. The Murder Mystery 2 actress recently wore an effortless white tee and jeans combo that made for the perfect casual daytime outfit. Ahead, I recreated some of her standout looks with accessible brands we all know and love.

Rihanna and ASAP Rocky Wore Winter's Biggest Basics Trend Together in Aspen

    [ad_1]

As is often the case when you’re a celebrity, Rihanna and ASAP Rocky are in Aspen for the holidays, and for a recent shopping excursion, they coordinated their casual (well, their version of casual) winter outfits perfectly.

It may seem a bit counterintuitive for there to be basics trends, but there are plenty of them each season (think, crewneck cardigans, white tank tops, and leggings, to name a few present and past ones). This season, the basics trend that everyone is buzzing about is hoodies. Hoodies are never not in style, but after gracing the F/W 23 runways of Bottega Veneta, Proenza Schouler, and Max Mara, hoodies went from being “boring” to “fashion”. And speaking of Bottega Veneta, that’s the brand of the grey pullover hoodie that both Rihanna and ASAP Rocky just wore in Aspen. It’s cashmere and nearly $4k, but that’s the very rare exception when it comes to hoodies—not the norm.

With that, keep scrolling to shop some of the coolest hoodies of the season in case you want to do as Rihanna and ASAP do.
