  • Sarah Shahi Addresses Sexually Explicit Book Chapters About Oral Sex Tips

    [ad_1]

Sarah Shahi has no regrets about providing tips and advice about sexually explicit topics — including oral sex and orgasms — in her new advice book.

In her Us Weekly cover story, Shahi, 46, addressed her decision to devote entire chapters in Life Is Lifey, which is out now, to sex education, saying, “[When I was on Sex/Life], so many women reached out that were like, ‘I’ve never had an orgasm.’ There were so many aspects of women when it came to their physicality and their body and their desire that they had ignored for so long.”

Shahi had hope that her experiences would help others.

“Personally, I was never promiscuous. I didn’t learn about anatomy until later on in my life, and men — and that was something that did feel very intimidating to me,” she noted. “After Sex/ Life, it just kind of came back full circle to me: This is human nature, and pleasure is a birthright. We’re not here to simply service, but we’re here to be serviced as well.”

Friends forever! The cast of Sex/Life might portray controversial characters onscreen, but off screen, they are a close-knit group. Sarah Shahi, Adam Demos, Mike Vogel and Margaret Odette’s bond began while filming the Netflix drama in the fall of 2020 and has continued through press tours and beyond. The show documents Billie’s (Shahi) sexy and […]

Sex/Life aired on Netflix from 2021 to 2023 and followed a housewife who was suffering from a severe midlife crisis. While filming the show, Shahi went through her own changes in her personal life when she ended her marriage to Steve Howey.

“What’s the point of hardship if you’re not able to share your story with somebody else? I refuse to believe that the pain I experienced was for nothing, so that became my driving force in talking about the hard things,” Shahi told Us. “The chapters where I talk about orgasms and b*** j*** was something I questioned because I thought it would be looked upon poorly. But the minute I’m afraid to do something, that’s a signal to go ahead.”

Shahi’s book relied on her personal stories to offer insight to others. One chapter detailed b*** j*** tips she learned when she moved to Los Angeles in the early 2000s. Shahi credited a two-day seminar that helped her gain confidence in the sex act, which she then performed on her boyfriend at the time who was “ten years older, desirable, and a critically acclaimed (in his mind) B+ movie star.”

The actress also devoted a separate section to the importance of orgasms, writing, “After [Sex/Life] premiered, what hit me the hardest was learning how many women have never experienced an orgasm. Studies show that up to half of women aren’t satisfied with how often they reach that biological imperative. …. After years of extensive personal research (you’re welcome), I’ve realized that embracing your sexuality is like unlocking the cheat code to your best self.”

Putting it all out there! After premiering on Netflix in June 2021, Sex/Life has captivated fans with its portrayal of mother and housewife Billie (Sarah Shahi) attempting to find more fulfillment in her life. While reflecting on the contents of Life Is Lifey, Shahi stood by her decision.

“I became the poster child for unhappily married women overnight [through Sex/Life]. And doing something like that allowed me to connect with so many people,” she shared. “This connected me to the audience on such a heart/soul level. That kind of connection is so rare, and I’m very grateful for that. It’s something that, moving forward, the projects that I want to align with have elements of that too — real personal, heartfelt connection.”

Shahi expressed hope that others learn from her mistakes, adding, “I really hope that people have the courage to live their lives as truthfully as they can. That’s literally what I want. I really want people to have the guts to live authentically and to not worry about what people think.”

She concluded: “I wrote this book to heal myself. I never expected it to make the splash that it’s making. But my point in writing it is, there was so much lightness that came from me finally doing me that I would love for other people to experience that same kind of feeling.”

Summer House Recap: Lindsay Hubbard Claims Carl Didn’t ‘Initiate’ Sex

    [ad_1]

Lindsay Hubbard claimed Carl Radke is “not a very sexual person” while detailing their sex life on the latest episode of Summer House.

“How often are you having sex?” Paige DeSorbo asked during the Thursday, March 21, episode of the Bravo series, which was filmed in July 2023. Lindsay, 37, replied, “Like, once every couple of weeks.”

Paige, 31, was shocked by Lindsay’s revelation, telling her, “You gotta change that!”

“You’re probably having sex with your long-distance boyfriend more than me,” Lindsay said, referring to Paige’s relationship with Southern Charm’s Craig Conover who lives in a different state. Paige teased, “Craig and I are f–king all the time.”

Bravo/YouTube (2) Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard’s split surprised many fans — but season 8 of Summer House continues to prove that a breakup was inevitable. Us Weekly confirmed in August 2023 that Carl, 39, called off his and Lindsay’s engagement one year after his proposal. Lindsay, 37, later told Us she was “completely blindsided” by […]

Amanda Batula noted that Lindsay shouldn’t “compare” her and Carl’s romance to that of hers with Kyle Cooke since they’ve been together nearly a decade. However, Amanda said that during year two of their relationship Amanda, 32, and Kyle, 42, had sex “every day.”

Lindsay shared that when she and Carl, 39, are intimate they have “such good sex,” but hinted that Carl didn’t seem interested in upping their bedroom game.

“Your f–king boyfriend, and your husband are initiating. Mine just doesn’t even initiate,” she claimed of her then-fiancé.

While Amanda and Paige encouraged Lindsay to keep trying with Carl, Paige later expressed concerns about their relationship during a confessional.

“I feel like when people talk about their sex life, they lie a little,” she told the cameras, explaining that Lindsay saying they “don’t have sex for two weeks at a time” means in “girl math” that it was really “six weeks” of nothing. “I don’t make the rules, but that’s alarming,” Paige confessed.

Carl wasn’t in the Hamptons when Lindsay opened up to the girls about their bedroom problems. Kyle, meanwhile, told the group of guys that he’d heard about similar issues between the couple from friends.

“I have been told by people who have been to their apartment that by the looks of it … they might be sleeping separately there too,” Kyle claimed while speaking with Craig, who was in town to visit Paige, and housemates Jesse Solomon and West Wilson.

Kyle noted that based on Carl and Lindsay’s drama during the first few weeks of summer he thought there were “deep rooted issues” between them. “I’m worried for the guy,” he confessed.

Earlier this season, Lindsay accused Carl of doing drugs on several occasions, which he adamantly denied. The tension led to Carl deciding to skip that Friday in the Hamptons to try and “break the cycle of the Friday night fight.”

Us Weekly confirmed in August 2023 that after filming season 8, Carl called off his engagement to Lindsay. The pair planned to tie the knot that November.

  • Donald Glover Learned Sex Tips From ‘Mrs. and Mrs. Smith’

Donald Glover Learned Sex Tips From ‘Mrs. and Mrs. Smith’

    [ad_1]

Donald Glover picked up a few important sex tips while filming his new series Mrs. & Mrs. Smith.

“Go slow,” Glover 40, told Page Six in an interview published on Saturday, February 3. “Go slow. I don’t even mean in just foreplay. I mean in everything.”

The actor, who shares sons Legend, Drake and Donald III, with wife Michelle White, noted that taking down the pace will make “everything more romantic” — and worth the wait. “You’ll appreciate it a lot more when you get there,” he said. “You’ll really understand it.”

Glover stars opposite Maya Erskine as John and Jane Smith, respectively, in the Prime Video series, which premiered on Friday, February 2. The comedy-drama follows two strangers in an arranged marriage who land jobs working for a mysterious spy agency offering them a life of espionage, wealth and world travels. Thow show is based on the 2005 film of the same name, which starred Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Glover, who co-created the series with Francesca Sloane, gained interest in the script after the COVID-19 pandemic sparked questions about how people combat solitude.

“I think there is a deep loneliness that everyone felt during the pandemic,” he told the outlet. “I was like, ‘Why do people even get together? Oh, because life is hard. We need each other.’”

Prior to filming the series, Glover turned to Pitt, 60, for advice about the role — but the Hollywood veteran was initially evasive in his response.

“He just Brad Pitt-ed his way out of it,” Glover told Entertainment Tonight last month. “I was like, ‘I just need some tips,’ and [Brad] just charmed his way out of it. He was like, ‘Oh, you’ll do great, kid.’ That kind of thing.” While Pitt initially played coy, Glover noted that the movie star “was very, very sweet and nice” during their chat.

“I just wanted to get a good understanding,” Glover continued. “It was great. He gave me good advice.”

Mr. & Mrs. Smith isn’t the only big project Glover has on the horizon. The Atlanta star is set to appear in the upcoming Community revival movie alongside former costars Joel McHale, Allison Brie, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Jim Rash and Ken Jeong.

“I was told that the script — literally, I was texting today — I was told that the script was done,” Glover told ET of the movie, which has been in the works since 2022. “I haven’t read it yet. It’s really just a schedule thing [but] I’m in. I’m all in.”

The film, which will stream on Peacock, follows Community’s six-season run from 2009 to 2014 on NBC and on the short-lived Yahoo! Screen in 2015. The series was created by Dan Harmon and followed a study group at the fictional Greendale Community College as they struggled through endless hijinks on a path to their degrees. Throughout its time on air, the show earned a series of accolades including a Critics Choice Award and Primetime Creative Arts Emmy.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith is streaming now on Prime Video.

Following his second marriage, James Brolin was committed to being abstinent — but that changed after his and wife Barbra Streisand’s 1998 wedding.

“I had been, literally it’s a wild word, but I had been celibate for three years, saying, ‘Who needs this,’” Brolin, 83, recalled during an interview with CBS MorningsGayle King, which aired on Monday, November 6.

Streisand, 81, scolded her husband over the confession by slapping his knee during the joint discussion. “You’re not supposed to tell that,” she said.

Barbra Streisand and James Brolin were unlucky in love until fate brought them together. Years before she met Brolin, Streisand married Elliot Gould in 1963 and welcomed son Jason before they split in 1971. Brolin, for his part, walked down the aisle twice before meeting the singer; he was married to Jane Cameron Agee from […]

King, 68, was taken aback by Brolin abstaining from sex for three years, but the Lightyear actor just had no desire to get mixed up with someone after his split from Jan Smithers in 1995. The former spouses, who share daughter Molly Elizabeth, were together nearly 10 years before calling it quits.

Brolin was also married to Jane Cameron Agee from 1966 to 1984. He shares sons Josh and Jess  Brolin with Agee, who died in 1995.

“I had not had any interest in getting involved in a lousy situation,” James explained to King, to which she replied, “After three years, that must have been a hell of a night then?” He let out a laugh, calling his and Streisand’s wedding night “wild.”

The couple, who celebrated 25 years of marriage in July, also shared James’ handwritten letter for the occasion with viewers. In the note, the Life in Pieces alum revealed that he proposed to the “Memory” singer three times before she agreed.

“I don’t know, I have to try them out first — for at least two years,” Streisand quipped when asked why she didn’t immediately say “yes” to an engagement. The Grammy winner appeared to be referring to her first marriage to Elliot Gould from 1963 to 1971. The exes share one son, Jason Gould.

Despite a slow start to their union, James and Streisand’s romance has continued to grow in time. James proved that in his letter, writing, “Home is not a place, home is a person. You know someone is right for you if you love to be with them all the time. And when I go, when I finally go, I will love you then.”

Streisand was in awe of her spouse, adding, “You wrote that honey … and I was, like, in shock!”
