  • Celebrity Race Across the World winners: Fans rejoice as Roman and Harleymoon Kemp win last leg – after another team quit

    [ad_1]

Celebrity Race Across the World 2025 has delivered its nail-biting final episode after six intense weeks on the road – and we now have our champions – so who won the trophy?

Four teams set off on this epic journey. Each battling tight budgets, huge distances and the emotional strain of life on the move. Tonight, one pairing managed to dig deeper, move faster and reach that final checkpoint ahead of the rest.

So who took the title? Here’s the team crowned winners of the Celebrity Race Across the World 2025 final.

Plus how you can throw your hat in the ring for the BBC’s civilian edition, Race Across the World, if you fancy tackling the adventure yourself.

Celebrity Race Across the World final and winners

Tonight’s final saw Roman Kemp and his sister Harleymoon, Tyler West and girlfriend Molly Rainford, Dylan Llewellyn and his mum Jackie, and Anita Rani and her dad Bal make their final leg in the race.

The teams had to travel from the penultimate checkpoint in Medellin in Columbia to Uribia on the Península de La Guajira. They would find their last checkpoint perched on top of a cliff overlooking the sea.

The land leading up to the sixth checkpoint was extremely remote, which meant pulling out all the stops to get there first and win the competition.

Molly and Tyler had the head start, having reached Columbia first in episode 5. They were followed by Roman and Harleymoon. But Dylan and Jackie began the final some 370km away and with just £14 to their names.

Anita and Bal, meanwhile, were absolutely nowhere to be seen by the end of episode 5! They soon appeared in the final, checking in to their hotel in third place. Dylan and Jackie arrived last.

Both Tyler and Molly, and Roman and Harleymoon, took overnight buses in the final leg. Anita and Bal chose a different route, while Dylan and Jackie make a shock decision.

The mother and son QUIT the race due to their low budget. Dylan said: “We’re bankrupt. But it’s not just the money. This race is so tough. We just want to bow out on our own terms.”

Jackie added: “I’m over the moon that Dylan has developed in this five weeks emotionally. I am really proud of him.”

The remaining three teams received the news via satellite phone.

    Who won?

The three remaining teams ploughed on with their journey following Dylan and Jackie’s surprise news. Unfortunately, Roman and Harleymoon were caught in a two hour traffic jam, which held them up.

Tyler also suffered a fail. The pair slept in and missed their alarm, which meant they almost missed one of their buses. Luckily, they just made it in time. But there was no such luck for Anita and Bal.

The father and daughter arrived to catch one of their buses only to discover it was fully booked. They had to stay overnight as a result.

Molly and Tyler, and Roman and Harleymoon, ended up neck and neck in Riohacha. And both pairs were held overnight for their safety. They even bedded down just one street away from each other!

At the crack of dawn, Roman and Harleymoon ended up jumping in a taxi in plain sight of Tyler and Molly’s car. “I think I’m in a car chase!” Tyler shouted.

Both pairs then ended up on a foot race in full view of each other. They were all seen pounding the streets to the checkpoint with their huge rucksacks on their backs.

As the tension mounted, they both hopped into 4x4s for the final stretch – with Harleymoon and Roman sailing past Molly and Tyler. They were very much in the middle of nowhere!

All four competitors jumped out, ditched their bags and ended up running side by side before climbing into speedboats. Roman and Harleymoon’s boat docked first – and they were faced to running up a massive hill to the finish.

The pairs were head-to-heat right up until the final minutes…. And Roman and Harleymoon won!

    Fans react

Roman and Harleymoon were first to finish, with Molly and Tyler just minutes behind in second place. Anita and Bal came in six hours later in third place.

Fans are thrilled with the outcome, with many congratulating them on X. One viewer wrote: “So happy Roman and @harleymoonkemp won. Well done both of you!”

Another added: “Aww, I’m so happy Roman and Harley won!!” And a third added: “Not getting first in any leg and then winning the whole race. Well done Roman and Harleymoon!”

Someone else chimed in: “Please tell me I’m not the only one who got emotional seeing @romankemp helping Harley to the finish. So happy they won, have loved seeing their sibling relationship become a best friend bond.”

When is Race Across the World back?

The BBC has confirmed that Race Across the World – the civilian series – will return for a brand new series in 2026. And it appears there are plans in place for a 2027 series, too!

Bosses at the BBC began searching for their series 6 Race Across the World contestants earlier this year. The closing date for applications was in July, which means the new set of teams are likely to have been picked by now.

The BBC has not confirmed when in 2026 series 6 will air. It’s also not known what the countries will be. But, if we follow the pattern of previous years, it is likely to be on screens in April.

Last year, series 5 of Race Across the World started on April 10. Five pairs of competitors were tasked with travelling 5,000 kilometres route from Japan to Indonesia.

The series ended on May 29, 2025, with friends Alfie Watts and Owen Wood being crowned the winners. Unlike the celebrity version, the winners received a £20,000 cash prize. Don’t mind if we do!

How to apply for Race Across the World

Public service announcement for all would-be adventurers – the BBC is officially recruiting again. Applications are now open for what’s expected to be series 7 of Race Across the World, giving everyday travellers the chance to take on the same epic challenge we’ve just watched the celebrities complete.

Casting teams are particularly keen to hear from people hoping to change something in their life, and those who want to share the adventure with “someone special”. As always, you’ll need to apply in a pair, and both teammates must be 18 or older.

If you fancy swapping your commute for checkpoints, hostels and nail-biting route decisions, you can apply via the BBC’s Race Across the World page. Entries close on March 29, 2026.

Time to dust off the backpack – your next big journey could be just around the corner.

Inside Scott Mills’ romance with husband – Barcelona wedding; going six months without speaking; ‘ultimate test’ on relationship

    [ad_1]

Radio 2 host Scott Mills is currently competing on Celebrity Race Across the World with his husband Sam Vaughan – and for many viewers it will be the first time they are seeing Sam.

Scott, 51, and Sam tied the knot in June 2024, months after they finished filming the competition series.

Although they are clearly happier than ever now, their relationship hasn’t always been smooth sailing.

The pair started dating in 2017, but audio producer Sam was hesitant to commit to a long distance relationship as he was living in Wales when they met, with Scott based in London for work.

Scott Mills and husband ‘didn’t speak for six months’

Scott told The Times ahead of their wedding earlier this year: “The more time we spent together, the more I could see we were right for each other. I just needed him to see that too.

“So when we had the conversation about taking it forward and he said ‘I’m not ready’, I was devastated.

“Being friends with someone you’re in love with doesn’t work. We didn’t speak for six months.”

Scott explained that their mums both supported them and helped them to get back together.

They then moved in together three months before the Covid lockdown.

    Engagement joy

Scott shared the joyous news they were engaged in October 2021 in a post on X, then known as Twitter.

He wrote: “After 4 years together I’m delighted to say we got engaged at the weekend.

“As Sam knows, I always said I didn’t think I would ever get married. But then I met you Sam.

“You make me laugh every single day, you support me in so many ways and I adore everything about you. As soon as I met you I knew this could be something special and it is (after a slow start).

“We’ve had some amazing times, and I’m bursting with happiness to know we will have so many more. I love you with all my heart.”

Scott Mills and Sam Vaughan’s Barcelona wedding

Scott and Sam got married in a Mediterranean villa in Barcelona on June 1 in front of their famous friends.

Zoe Ball, Rylan Clark, Jordan North, Calvin Harris, Vick Hope and Chris Stark were all in attendance.

Pixie Lott and Calum Scott were on hand to perform during the ceremony, with Joel Corry DJing at the reception.

Speaking about the big day, Scott later said: “We both had the most incredible day.

“To celebrate with all our close friends and family in Spain was so special. We are looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together.”

Scott and Sam on Celebrity Race Across the World

Before heading down the aisle, Sam and Scott faced their “ultimate test” on BBC’s Celebrity Race Across the World.

In March, the couple filmed the show which is currently airing.

Scott and Sam are joining Jeff Brazier and his son Freddy, Kelly Brook and her husband Jeremy and Kola Bokinni and his cousin Mary Ellen on the race.

Speaking on BBC Radio Wales, Scott said: “I would say it was the ultimate test of our relationship.”

He added: “What is quite nice is – and it is probably something we will never ever have again – is that time where you are just in the moment.

“You’re not scrolling on your phone and, actually, the only thing to think about is the race.”

Celebrity Race Across the World airs Wednesdays at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Inside Kelly Brook love life – marrying husband Jeremy and dating a Gladiator

    [ad_1]

Kelly Brook and her husband Jeremy Parisi star in the new series Celebrity Race Across the World that begins tonight (Wednesday August 14) on BBC One.

They’ve been happily married since 2022. But how much do you know about popular personality Kelly Brook and her love life from before she wed her husband?

Kelly, 44, kicked off her career in showbiz as a glamour model before making her way in TV. But she has also come in for press attention over the years for who she’s been linked with. Do you remember these exes of hers?

    Kelly Brook and Jason Statham

Kelly and shaven-headed action flick star Jason Statham dated between 1997-2004. They were tabloid darlings for years – and Kelly’s time with Jason proved one of her most enduring relationships. They also got engaged during their time together.

But Kelly later told Hello! how she changed during the course of their being together.

She reportedly said: “I’m not the same as I was when we met. I’m a lot more complex now. A lot more high maintenance. And sometimes you don’t know what you want until it hits you.”

Then, in 2019, Kelly referred to Jason as “skint” during a radio appearance.

“He was skint when I was there. Trust me,” she remarked as her Heart co-presenters spoke about how well Jason’s latest film at the time was doing at the box office.

Kelly interrupted: “Ugh. Can we just stop? These are all the things you do not want to hear about an ex-boyfriend.”

He is now engaged to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and the pair share two children.

Kelly also went on to date another Hollywood star who also didn’t have much hair up top – Billy Zane.

They also became engaged. But things didn’t work out between the Titanic actor and Kelly.

They lived in a £1 million farmhouse in Kent after getting together in 2005, and splitting in 2008.

    Rugby-playing boyfriends

Following Billy, Kelly saw Danny Cipriani between 2008 and 2010. She reportedly dumped him after he allegedly cheated on her, with claims she found messages to other women on his mobile.

Furthermore, The Sun reckons Danny may have “been unfaithful with up to seven women”.

Kelly is also alleged to have punched Danny in the face after she overheard a stripper in Las Vegas boasting about getting Danny’s phone number.

    Thom Evans romance

Kelly was then involved with another egg chaser – Thom Evans – from 2010 to 2013.

He became the third man to put a ring on it. However, the pair sadly endured two miscarriages, with Thom and Kelly getting engaged following the loss of their first baby.

“After the miscarriage Thom and I decided it was time to make a fresh start… Thom proposed,” Kelly told The Sun.

“He’d bought a beautiful ring. I immediately said yes. The miscarriage actually brought us closer together.”

Thom is now dating Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger.

Kelly Brook and Gladiator David McIntosh

Hunky David McIntosh, also known as Tornado during Sky 1’s reboot of Gladiators, also proposed to Kelly.

He asked her to marry him after they’d been dating for just 11 weeks. And they were were together for less than a year before splitting in January 2015.

“Was it a shock when he got down on one knee? Just a bit! I think it took both of us by surprise, to be honest, how quickly things have progressed,” she told Hello! in 2014.

Kelly went on at the time: “But I’ve never met a guy like David before and although it seems soon to be planning our wedding, there’s nothing to wait for in my mind because at the moment everything’s fantastic and there’s no reason why it can’t continue to be like that. I hadn’t been looking to fall in love.”

However, Kelly is said to have dumped the muscle man amid claims he remained close to an ex.

And there was a bit of afters from David, too. He reportedly complained in 2015 that Kelly was “bitter”.

Kelly Brook and husband Jeremy Parisi

The model met Jeremy in 2015. They tied the knot in Sardinia in 2022.

Opening up about her romance with her “best friend and soulmate”, Kelly told The Mirror: “I’ve found someone who can keep up with me and the lifestyle that I love.

“It’s the combination of having a very exciting life but also having moments where it’s nice to stay home, watch Netflix and walk the dog. It’s getting that balance.”

Of their secret to long-lasting love, Kelly recently said: “I just think I think being older and wiser. We have the same kind of goals. Jeremy’s a family man. I love being with family. We just have a lot in common.”
