    All dads have their embarrassing moments. Yes, even JAY-Z. In a recent interview with Gayle King on “CBS Mornings,” however, the proud dad of three claimed that his oldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, only pretends to be embarrassed by him in public. At home, she actually thinks her dad is pretty cool. In fact, JAY-Z says the 11-year-old even asks him for fashion advice from time to time.

    “Blue, she be frontin’ on me a little bit.”

    “Blue, she be frontin’ on me a little bit, but I catch her,” he said. “I catch her in the corner, you know? Now she asks me if this is cool — her sneakers or whatever she’s wearing.” While Blue Ivy wasn’t around to refute her dad’s claims, she does appear to have taken some major style cues from both her parents in recent years.

    Take, for example, when the father-daughter duo attended the 2022 NBA Finals in San Francisco last year. For the outing, Blue Ivy wore low-top Nike Dunk sneakers, sweatpants, a black leather jacket, and a “Brown Skin Girl” T-shirt from mom Beyoncé’s merch line. JAY-Z complemented his daughter’s look in an all-black outfit and white sneakers. The preteen also spent some quality time with her dad at the 2023 Super Bowl in February, during which the pair wore all-black ensembles and matching sunglasses.

    At the NBA finals, they went viral after JAY-Z wrapped his arm around Blue Ivy on the jumbotron and pulled her in for a kiss on the cheek. Embarrassed by her dad, the preteen rolled her eyes and subtly attempted to pull away as JAY-Z smiled for the camera. Though Blue Ivy does try to call her dad out when he’s making her feel awkward, JAY-Z told King he’s learned to make a case for himself: “I’m cool. I don’t know what you saying. At your house, your parents is cool.”

    Since their NBA outing, Blue Ivy has been busy guest starring as a backup dancer on her mom’s “Renaissance” Tour. While performing in Dubai in January, the mother-daughter duo performed “Brown Skin Girl” together. Blue Ivy also broke out some impressive choreography before sharing a sweet embrace with her mom on stage.

    Though Blue Ivy might say otherwise, it seems like having JAY-Z and Beyoncé as parents is pretty cool after all.

    Channing Tatum is showing some love to his favorite era. In an Aug. 6 Instagram post shared by Gayle King, the actor posed at the Eras Tour in an over-the-top outfit completely dedicated to Taylor Swift. Tatum attended the LA show the day prior in a black t-shirt with the words “It’s Me, Hi, I’m the Daddy, It’s Me” written in pastel fabric paint (a reference to Swift’s “Anti-Hero”). He completed the look by framing one eye in a pink crystal heart, harkening back to the imagery from Swift’s iconic “Lover” era. “A round of applause to @channingtatum & @karomobrown who went all in!” King captioned her post, gesturing to his creative ensemble.

    Famous Taylor Swift fans have consistently raised the bar for Eras Tour fashion, with Sofía Vergara in a rhinestone matching set, and Keleigh Teller in a lavender feathered coat. Those who have also shown love to the “Lover” era — the romantic seventh studio album in Swift’s discography — include Lana Condor, who wore a pink cowgirl hat and temporary heart tattoos, and Ava Phillippe, whose sparkly pink corset had major “Lover” energy.

    In later videos, Tatum flexed his dance moves from the audience, accompanied by his daughter, 10-year-old Everly, who clearly inspired the messaging on his shirt. Since the start of the performance, Tatum had also collected a few of the infamous “friendship bracelets” often traded at Swift’s concerts, adding even more fun accessories to the already unforgettable outfit.     Julia Louis-Dreyfus said her father’s disapproval during her first season on “Saturday Night Live” still stings decades later.

    Louis-Dreyfus was a 21-year-old Northwestern University dropout when she made her debut on the show in 1982. She had no live TV experience.

    Hoping for encouragement from her dad after her appearance in a sketch on the popular show, financier Gerard Louis-Dreyfus delivered anything but, his daughter told Variety. (She declined to reveal the specific performance.)

    “I remember him saying something really negative to me. He didn’t handle it properly, and he wasn’t gentle. His complaint was that I was too big, too broad. I was devastated by that,” she said in an interview posted Tuesday.

    She wasn’t about to validate his assessment, true or not.

    “He was such a narcissist, I didn’t even consider that,” she said, laughing. “And I say that with love in my heart.”

    Her father died in 2016. Louis-Dreyfus thrived in comedy despite the reproach.

    Dreyfus parted ways with “SNL” in 1985 and established career-defining roles as Elaine Benes on “Seinfeld” (1989-1998) and Selina Meyer on “Veep” (2012-2019).

    She recently appeared in the hit movie “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” too.

    In the Variety article, she also discussed her experience with breast cancer after being diagnosed in 2017. She is in remission.

    “Nobody has ever been happier to go back to work,” she said. “It confirmed for me the critical importance of my friendships with the people with whom I work and, of course, the love of my family and friends. It distilled down what was most important to me in my life.”
