  • Why Diane Keaton Chose Motherhood Later in Life

    [ad_1]

The late Diane Keaton chose an unconventional path to parenthood when she adopted her children well into her 50s — and was candid about the reason behind her decision.

“I didn’t think that I was ever going to be prepared to be a mother,” Keaton — who died at the age of 79 on Saturday, October 11 — previously told Ladies’ Home Journal. “Motherhood was not an urge I couldn’t resist. It was more like a thought I’d been thinking for a very long time. So I plunged in.”

Keaton welcomed daughter Dexter, 29, and son Duke, 25, via adoption and as a single mom in her 50s. While Keaton never married during her tenured and prestigious film career, she did date a few famous faces, including Woody Allen, Warren Beatty and Al Pacino.

In 2019, the Something’s Gotta Give actress opened up to People about her decision to never take a walk down the wedding aisle.

Fans of famed actress Diane Keaton are revisiting some of the actress’ most memorable roles following news of her death. People confirmed on October 11, 2025 that the Something’s Gotta Give actress died in California. She was 79. A spokesperson told the outlet no additional information regarding the actress’ death was available at the time, […]

“Today I was thinking about this — I’m 71 and I think I’m the only one in my generation, and maybe before, who has been a single woman all her life,” she told the outlet at the time, before adding that it would “not have been a good idea for me to have married.”

“I’m really glad I didn’t, and I’m sure they’re happy about it too,” she added, referring to her Hollywood exes.

Later, in 2023, the actress once again reiterated that she was happy to live life as a single mom.

“I don’t date,” she told AARP The Magazine at the time, while insisting that it was “highly unlikely” that she would find herself in another romantic relationship in the future. “I don’t remember anyone calling me, going, ‘This is So-and-So, I’d like to take you out.’ They don’t happen. Of course not.”

The famed actress went on to explain her longstanding stance on marriage – a mindset she established when she was a teen.

“I remember one day in high school, this guy came up to me and said, ‘One day you’re going to make a good wife,’” she said. “And I thought, ‘ I don’t want to be a wife. No.’”

While Keaton’s family asked for privacy in the wake of her death, many of her costars and fellow Hollywood stars paid tribute to the late actress.

“The brilliant, beautiful, extraordinary Diane Keaton has died,” Keaton’s The First Wives’ Club costar Bette Midler shared via Instagram on Saturday. “She was hilarious, a complete original, and completely without guile, or any of the competitiveness one would have expected from such a star. What you saw was who she was … oh, la, lala!”

  • Jennifer Aniston makes emotional confession about parents’ bitter divorce in honest interview

    [ad_1]

Jennifer Aniston got candid about her turbulent childhood in a tell-all interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK, sharing that her parents used her as a “pawn” in their nasty divorce. The 56-year-old is the only daughter of soap star John Aniston and sitcom actress Nancy Dow, with the pair marrying in 1965 and divorcing in 1980 when Jennifer was just nine years old. “Their divorce was not amicable in any way, shape, or form, and it was a time when there wasn’t a lot of awareness of how to behave for the sake of the kid,” she explained.

“That was the least of [their] worries – it was more, how could they hurt each other? And I was just a pawn.” Despite the pain of her parents’ divorce, Jennifer shared that John and Nancy were “ridiculously funny people” and that she grew up “around a lot of laughter”. Her father was best known for starring as Victor Kiriakis on Days of Our Lives on and off for 37 years, and also appeared in shows like The West Wing, Gilmore Girls and Mad Men.

Meanwhile, Nancy made her name with roles in The Beverly Hillbillies, The Wild Wild West and The Ice House. Jennifer previously revealed to Interview magazine that “growing up in a household that was destabilized and felt unsafe” allowed her to build resilience and learn how to deal with heartbreak. She remained close to her father until his death in November 2022, and even accepted his Daytime Emmys Lifetime Achievement Award that same year.

“This is truly a special moment for me,” the Friends star said. “It’s an opportunity to not only pay tribute to a true icon in the daytime television world, but it’s also a chance to recognize the lifelong achievements of a great and well-respected actor, who also happens to be my dad.” Unfortunately, she shared a far more difficult relationship with her mother, and explained that the divorce had a lasting effect on Nancy.

“She was a model, and she was all about presentation and what she looked like and what I looked like,” Jennifer told The Sunday Telegraph in 2018. “I did not come out the model child she’d hoped for, and it was something that really resonated with me: this little girl just wanting to be seen and wanting to be loved by a person who was too occupied with things that didn’t quite matter.”

Jennifer’s parents John and Nancy were married from 1965 to 1980

Nancy wrote about their tense relationship in her 1999 memoir, From Mother and Daughter to Friends, which prompted Jennifer to cut ties altogether. “I never thought my mom would not know my husband,” she told Diane Sawyer in a 2004 interview for ABC News, referring to Brad Pitt, whom she was married to from 2000 to 2005.

Jennifer and Nancy reportedly reconciled following her divorce from Brad and remained in each other’s lives until Nancy’s passing in 2016. “I forgave my mom,” she told Allure in 2022. “It’s important. It’s toxic to have that resentment, that anger. I learned that by watching my mom never let go of it. I remember saying, ‘Thank you for showing me what never to be.’”

While Nancy never said “I do” again after her divorce from John, she was previously married to Jack Melick from 1956 to 1961, and shared a son, John T. Melick III, with him. Jennifer’s dad remarried after Nancy to Sherry Rooney in 1984. The couple welcomed one son, Alexander Aniston.

  • Donna Kelce Wears Taylor Swift Hat During Monday Night Football

    [ad_1]

Donna Kelce showed some love for her future daughter-in-law, Taylor Swift, during Monday Night Football.

Kelce, 72, arrived at the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Everbank Stadium on Monday, October 6, rocking her signature Chiefs jersey featuring son Travis Kelce’s name and number.

This time, however, Donna added a special memento in honor of Swift — a white baseball cap that featured a drawing of the pop star, 35, prominently on the front. The hat also included several nods to Swift and her die-hard fans, and in addition to several — of course — friendship bracelets. (Travis and Swift announced their engagement last month.)

Donna wore the same cap when she, Travis, 36, and other members of the Kelce clan went to see The Official Release Party of a Showgirl together on Sunday, October 5.

Taylor Swift and Donna Kelce’s friendship first made headlines when they were seen together at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium. Swift started dating Travis Kelce, the youngest son of Donna and ex-husband Ed Kelce, in summer 2023. The following September, she went to cheer him on during one of the Kansas City Chiefs’ home football games. […]

The decision for Donna to wear a Swift-themed article of clothing comes days after Swift released her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, which dropped on Friday, October 3.

Donna also showed her love for Swift’s new album by including her new song “Opalite” in her tribute to Travis in honor of his birthday. Ahead of the release of Swift’s 12th record, Travis shared that “Opalite” was his favorite track. Swift later confirmed the tune was, indeed, her fiancé’s favorite.

“He loves that one,” the pop star said of Travis during a Friday interview on the U.K.’s Capital FM radio station. “I have favorite words, favorite phrases [and] things I’ll put in an endless file of lyrics that I’m constantly going to go and cherry-pick from when I’m writing.”

Swift also touched on the deeper meaning behind “Opalite” and how it has a direct connection to Travis.

“Opal can be man-made just like diamonds, and so, Travis’ birthstone is an opal,” she shared. “I’ve always fixated on that, [and] I’ve always loved that stone. I thought it was kind of a cool metaphor that, like, it’s a man-made opal and happiness can also be man-made, too. That’s what the song is about, the juxtaposition of those two.”

  • Kelly Stafford Feels Judged When She Drinks While Traveling With 4 Daughters

    [ad_1]

Kelly Stafford conceded that she sometimes needs a bit of liquid courage to brace for the challenge of traveling with her four young daughters.

With Kelly’s husband, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, in the twilight of his NFL playing career, Kelly has been making it a point to travel to as many of his games as possible with her kids in tow — which isn’t always a walk in the park.

“It’s horrible — I’m traveling with my kids — and I feel like people are judging me if I have a drink,” Kelly said on her podcast, “The Morning After,” on Thursday, October 2. “But I’m also like, ‘Just one?’”

Kelly, 36, and Matthew, 37, share four daughters: twins Sawyer and Chandler, 8, Hunter, 7, and Tyler, 5.

Related: Kelly Stafford Reveals Why She‘s Sending Her 4 Daughters to Christian School

Kelly Stafford announced some “great news” about the educational futures of her four daughters — and why she’s passionate about religion playing a role. Stafford, 36, explained that “the Christian school” in Los Angeles that she’s been eyeing for her girls — twins Sawyer and Chandler, 8, Hunter, 7, and Tyler, 5 — is expanding […]

The football wife did acknowledge that not everybody is looking at her sideways about imbibing on long travel days with her girls.

“Most flight attendants as I’m leaving are like, ‘Do you want some of these shots?’” Kelly said. “I will take them, thank you so much. For when I get home.”

Kelly has never shied away from admitting that indulging in a vice every once in a while makes the parenting journey easier.

“Sometimes I feel like [weed] gummies make me a better parent,” Kelly said on her podcast in June. “They calm me down.”

She added, “I feel a little guilty saying it and it’s not like I do it every night. Sometimes I’m like, ‘S***, I’ve been a long day. I don’t want to rip my hair out or their hair out, so I’m going to just top it off with a little gummy.’”

Kelly joked that her daughters have started to notice a change in her attitude when she decides it’s gummy time.

They’re like, ‘Mommy’s nice tonight,’” she joked.

“Some nights I’m really mean, some nights I’m really nice,” she added. “I feel like it’s a good balance.”

Kelly noted that Matthew, who is currently in his 17th NFL season and fifth with the Rams, is “fine” with his wife’s gummy habit.

“As long as they’re in bed, fed and happy and feel loved, who cares how they get there,” he has told her.

Kelly — who got married to Matthew in 2015 after meeting during their time at the University of Georgia — has also previously spoken about the difficulties of traveling with her four daughters to their dad’s away games.

Last month, Kelly detailed the “hell” of getting all of her girls ready for a flight to Philadelphia to see the Rams play the Eagles after all four of her daughters had soccer games on the same day.

“We get to the airport and I have to shower all of them,” Kelly said on the September 23 episode of her podcast. “A lot of hair when you have four girls.”

She added, “It clogs the drains. It does all the bad stuff. And it takes a f*** ton of time.”

Despite the franticness, Kelly gave kudos to her daughters for being good troopers on the road.

“I don’t give them enough credit,” she admitted. “They were fantastic this whole trip, even with the minor mishaps and mommy being stressed out.”

  • Kirsten Dunst on Why Her Kids Skip Jesse Plemons’ Movies

    [ad_1]

Kirsten Dunst and husband Jesse Plemons may be household names courtesy of their extensive Hollywood careers, but that doesn’t mean their own children are huge fans of their varied movie roles.

“I mean, they’ve seen Jumanji and Spider-Man,” Dunst, 43, exclusively told Us Weekly while attending the Roofman premiere in Los Angeles on Monday, September 29. “Every time I’m like, ‘Do you want to watch Like Mike?’ they’re like, ‘No.’ So… Small Soldiers, my kids like, too.” (Plemons starred in 2002’s Like Mike, a kids comedy about a boy who dreams of becoming a famous basketball player.)

She then clarified, “One of my kids likes [it].”

The Civil War star shares Ennis Howard, born in May 2018, and James Robert, born in May 2021, with fellow actor Plemons. The pair got engaged in 2017 and expanded their family before eventually tying the knot in Jamaica in 2022.

Kirsten Dunst is keeping her kids offline. Dunst, 41, shares two sons, Ennis, 5, and James, 2, with husband Jesse Plemons and told Variety that the kids are not allowed electronics while they’re at home. “We’ve got record players,” Dunst said. Dunst added that by keeping her children off the internet, she hopes they will […]

Dunst and Plemons recently starred alongside one another in the hit film Civil War — a last-minute cameo on behalf of her husband that had the pair working opposite each other in what can be described as an intense exchange.

“It happened during rehearsal that the actor dropped out, and Jesse was there [in Atlanta, where the movie was filmed] with the kids,” the actress told Seth Meyers during an April 10 appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. “And I suggested him.”

She added at the time of her husband’s unruly character, “Nobody wants to play this role. It’s very intense.”

“I will say, it helps that I feel like we’ve seen Jesse over the years, both play good guys and bad guys, and we know him to be a good guy,” Meyers responded at the time. “You’re right, if it was some actor I’d never seen before, I would be, like, repulsed every time I saw him ever since. So I feel like Jesse took one for the team.”

“He really did,” Dunst agreed. “He’s a brilliant actor.”

Dunst’s kids are likely to be unfamiliar with her latest film, Roofman, as well. Starring Channing Tatum as escaped convict and professional thief Jeffrey Manchester, the film follows Tatum’s character after he finds solace inside a Toys “R” Us, managing to evade arthritis for months before he falls in love with Dunst’s character, Leigh Wainscott, a divorced mom.

When asked what drew her to the role, Dunst made it clear that it had less to do with the story itself and more to do with who was involved in telling it.

“To be honest, working with Derek Cainfrance,” Dunst told Us of the chance to create alongside the film’s director. “I love his movies, and I love acting in his films and I wanted to be a part of that process. So he could have asked me to do anything, and I would have worked with him.”

Based on a true story, Dunst also had a chance to meet the real-life Leigh Wainscott in preparation for the role — an experience she said helped her better portray her in the film.

“She has a lot of grace,” Dunst said. “And she’s so, you know, forgiving of what happened and still talks to Jeff. And she was just very giving of her presence — her natural presence. So that’s something that I could take with me in portraying Leigh.”

Dust also dished on what it was like to work alongside Channing.

Stepping out for opening night of the Broadway production of Waiting for Godot in New York City on Sunday, September 28, Culkin, 42, held a loving hand on Charton’s belly as the couple smiled for photos published by People that night.

Charton, 37, opted for a figure-hugging cream dress while the Succession actor sported a sweater and dark pants.

The couple’s baby news comes six months after Culkin publicly requested more children while on stage accepting the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for his performance in the film A Real Pain. “Let’s get cracking on those kids, what do you say? I love you,” Culkin directed at his wife during his speech.

While Kieran Culkin has achieved a lot in his career he and wife Jazz Charton still maintain their humble mindset. “[They] are such a fun, affectionate and completely down-to-earth couple,” a source exclusively reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly. “Just [a few] years ago, they’d be on their couch in NYC eating takeout, […]

The couple, who married in June 2013, share two children: daughter Kinsey, born in September 2019, and son Wilder, born in August 2021.

Culkin’s Oscars declaration began by revisiting a previous public request to grow the couple’s family. “Please don’t play the music, because I want to tell a really quick story about Jazz,” the actor said. “A year ago, I said that I want a third kid — because she said if I won the [Emmy] award [for Succession], she would give me the kid. Turns out she said that because she didn’t think I was going to win.”

As the audience laughed, Culkin continued, “People came up to me and were like, you know … it got to her. After the show, we’re walking through a parking lot, she’s holding the Emmy, she goes, ‘Oh, god, I did say that. I guess I owe you a third kid.’ I turned to her, I said, ‘Really, I want four. And she turned to me, I swear to God this happened, she said, ‘I will give you four when you win an Oscar.’ I held my hand out, she shook it and I have not brought it up once until just now.”

The actor then turned to face Charton in the crowd to offer his plea. “You remember that, honey? Then I just have to say to you, Jazz, love of my life, ye of little faith, no pressure,” he said. “I love you. I’m really sorry I did this again.”

Culkin met Charton in a New York bar in 2012, with the child star recalling their initial interaction during a 2021 interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “I said, ‘I’m Kieran. You have an English accent. What’s your name?’” Culkin told the outlet at the time. “She said, ‘I’m Jazz.’ I said, ‘J-A-Z-Z, like the music?’ And she said, ‘Yeah.’ And I said, ‘Well, that’s f***ing stupid.’”

The duo married one year later, in June 2012, while road tripping together in Iowa.

  • Jared Goff’s Wife Christen Harper Twins With Baby at Her 1st Lions Game

    [ad_1]

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff’s cheering section just got a lot bigger — and cuter — with the addition of his nearly-3-month-old daughter.

“OK, outfit of the game. I’m wearing this little roster cropped jersey with [Adidas] Sambas and Abercrombie jeans,” Goff’s wife, Christen Harper Goff, said in a Sunday, September 28, TikTok video from her home closet. “[I also have] some hoops, and my cutest accessory.”

Christen, 32, walked out of the frame to pick up daughter Romy, 2 months, to show the infant’s own game day ‘fit on-camera.

“She’s got her jersey on, as well, and a little bow,” Christen said, pointing out Romy’s says “Daddy” on the back instead of Jared’s last name. “[She also] has some football socks, and we’re ready to party. Aren’t we? Yes we are.”

The model added, “We’re ready for football!”

Jared, 30, and his Lions teammates competed in a Sunday home game against the Cleveland Browns, leading 20-10 at the time of publication.

Christen gave birth to her and Jared’s first baby in July.

“Romy 💌,” the NFL couple captioned a July 15 Instagram carousel of hospital photos.

Two months earlier, Christen teased that she couldn’t wait to bring her baby girl to Jared’s football games.

“I’m really excited to have a baby with me because I feel, like, it’s gonna be a very good distraction [for when I get stressed during the quarters],” Christen said on a May episode of the “Sunday Sports Club” podcast. “I’m excited to have a little buddy that’s going to be distracting me on game days.”

She added at the time, “People have gifted us a few cute ones. I want, like, a full lion costume. I want to hold her up [like The Lion King] because you know on game days [fans] hold them up. I can’t wait to do that with her.”

While Romy hasn’t got her lion outfit just yet, her Sunday look better matches her mom’s aesthetic.

“My favorite thing is looking for vintage pieces,” Christen exclusively told Us Weekly in October 2024. “I love to find vintage Lions stuff. That’s been really fun for me over the years. I’ll wear them and rewear them or maybe style them differently. Add a spin to it, cut it up, do something fun.”

Jared and Christen have been together since 2019 after meeting on dating app Raya. They went on to tie the knot in June 2024, all while she’s been a prominent fixture in the Lions stands. (Christen first met Jared when he played for the Los Angeles Rams, later moving with him to Detroit after he was traded in 2021.)

“There’s some girls who are from here, but generally it’s girls moving to a new city where they don’t know anybody,” Christen told Us of bonding with the other Lions significant others. “A lot of us are lucky because there was this fresh start around the time Jared came to the team, so a lot of us were getting to know the city at the same time.”

She continued, “I think going through all the ups and downs together have really brought us closer together. We leaned on each other during the tough times and we celebrate the fun times together.”

  • Hilaria Baldwin Announces Beloved Dog Dama’s Death

    [ad_1]

The Baldwin family is mourning the loss of their beloved dog, Dama, Hilaria Baldwin has announced.

“Rest in peace, sweet Dama 💔. You brought so much joy to our lives…you were that dog that slept on my pregnant belly 😭🩷,” she captioned a carousel of photos of the family’s sweet dog shared via Instagram on Saturday, September 27. “Your life was long and happy. I know you are running though fields and eating all the cookies you want. We are sad but grateful that we had you in our lives ✨.”

The first photo in the series featured Hilaria’s husband, Alec Baldwin, with both Dama and a second pet. Other photos showed Dama curled on Hilaria’s shoulder or in the crook of her arm.

The news comes as Hilaria, 41, continues to battle it out on the 34th season of Dancing With the Stars. While speaking exclusively to Us Weekly on Tuesday, September 23, Hilaria admitted that “it’s hard” to balance competing on the show with her robust home life. (Hilaria and Alec, 67, share 7 children together: Carmen, Rafael, Leonardo, Romeo, Eduardo, Maria, and Ilaria. )

“One of my friends came out here. I have my two nannies out here that are really helping me, and that’s incredible,” Hilaria told Us of how she managed it all with the help of family and friends. “[My husband] Alec [Baldwin] is doing a movie somewhere, so he’s coming and going, and I have a great community here.”

Having help, paid or unpaid, doesn’t mean she’s not a hands-on mom. In fact, Hilaria also admitted she was up with her 7-year-old at 1 a.m. due to a nightmare — only hours before she earned a 21 out of 30 on Tuesday’s One-Hit Wonders Night.

“It’s show day, but it doesn’t matter. I have to go into the room and bring him in,” she told Us. “We’re balancing all of this, but ultimately I’m mom No. 1.”

Though maintaining the balance can be tough, Hilaria also said that she hopes her children are inspired by her work ethic and the joy she gets from appearing on the series.

“I think it’s a really good example for them to learn that they can follow their dreams,” she explained. “I’m happy that they’re able to see me happy. It’s been a hard past few years, and I think that they need to see their mom with this kind of joy.”

Hilaria also recently got a lot of public support from her stepdaughter, Ireland Baldwin. On September 4, Ireland, 29, defended Hilaria from detractors.

“I wanted to take a second to talk about my step mom @hilariabaldwin. I think if people actually knew her the way I do, they would be quite surprised,” Ireland, 29, wrote via Instagram. She added that despite what some people online think and say, she was not “playing nice so I can secure my inheritance.”

“C’mon, people. I see the comments. I’m not getting an inheritance. I have 7 siblings 😂,” she joked.

“These thoughts have been on my mind since I last visited her on the east coast. Hilaria has had a far more complex and chaotic upbringing than she lets on and I think that’s why we’ve maybe bonded in some ways?” Ireland continued. “She didn’t always feel safe and seen. Sometimes, she is too loyal to a fault. She is eccentric and totally bat s*** crazy (in a fun way) but she saved my dad’s life. She turned his health around and has shown him the forgiveness and kindness that he needed.”

  • Did you know Jon Bon Jovi’s mom was an original Playboy Bunny?

    [ad_1]

Jon Bon Jovi has spoken about how “cool” his trailblazing mother was as an original Playboy bunny in the early 1960s. The musician’s mother Carol Bongiovi was one of the first bunnies in the New York City club alongside Lauren Hutton, Diane Lane, and the wife of legendary New York DJ Scott Muni. “It’s cool. I’ve seen pictures of her with [Frank] Sinatra, and the whole thing with my dad there, and my uncle’s there, all hanging out in the Playboy Club,” he said.

Jon was speaking on Bunnie XO‘s podcast Dumb Blondes, and he shared their history, revealing how they met while they were both Marines. “She couldn’t wait to enlist, and said that the Marine Corps was nothing compared to her childhood. So she went and joined the Marines and meets my pop,” he said of Carol and his father, John Bongiovi Sr. Carol and John welcomed their son in 1962, when Carol was 21.

The Playboy Club in Manhattan opened later that year in December; it was the fifth Playboy club to open in two years, with the first one opening in Chicago in 1960 with acts including comedian Dick Gregory and then 17-year old singer Aretha Franklin.  Each club had four different rooms: a Living Room, a Playmate Bar, a Dining Room, and a Club Room. Guests were served food and drinks by the Playboy Bunnies, cocktail waitresses who wore lingerie outfits inspired by the tuxedo-wearing Playboy rabbit mascot.

Other famous Playboy Bunnies include Debbie Harry, the Blondie frontwoman who has always insisted that the role was a “very sought-after kind of job,” and that “the girls were treated very, very well; there was a lot of benefits: health benefits, job security, good salary, good money.”

Carol died on Tuesday, July 9 2024, three days shy of her 84th birthday. Carol’s death occurred at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey. She was 83 years old. In a heartfelt statement, Jon, 63, shared: “Our mother was a force to be reckoned with. Her spirit and can-do attitude shaped this family. She will be greatly missed.”

He has always credited his parents for helping him to find success; in a 2020 interview with The Big Issue, he expressed his gratitude for their belief in him, sharing: “Even if you truly weren’t any good at your craft, if you believed you were, you could work on it. As I got older, I realized that was a great gift that I got from my folks. They truly believed in the John Kennedy mantra of going to the moon. ‘Yeah, of course, you can go to the moon. Just go, Johnny.’ And there I went.”

Jon began performing music at the age of 12 and by 16 he was performing in clubs across New Jersey. “They were always supportive of me, which in retrospect, was incredible. Because I could get home at one or two in the morning, and have to still be in school by eight o’clock. They just said, show up on time for school, you know that is your responsibility, but pursue your dream,” he said.

Jon married his high school sweetheart Dorothea Hurley in 1989, and they welcomed four children: daughter, Stephanie, born in 1993, and three sons, Jesse, Jake, and Romeo, born in 1995, 2002, and 2004, respectively.

Jake is married to Strangers Things actress Millie Bobby Brown, and in August 2025 they welcomed their first child, Jon’s first grandchild.

  • Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner’s Daughter Violet Gives United Nations Speech

    [ad_1]

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner‘s daughter Violet delivered a speech in support of mask mandates at the United Nations.

Violet, 19, attended the United Nations on Tuesday, September 23, as a youth advocate and spoke out in favor of clean air and masking to prevent the transmission of long Covid.

“We are told by leaders across the board that we are the future,” she said while wearing a K95 mask. “But when it comes to the ongoing pandemic, our present is being stolen right in front of our eyes.”

Violet called out adults for “the relentless beat of back to normal, ignoring downplaying, and concealing both the prevalence of airborne transmission and the threat of long Covid. … Young people lacked both real choice in the matter and information about what was being chosen for us.”

Jennifer Garner has portrayed many memorable roles over the years, but none as loving as her role as a mom to her and her ex-husband Ben Affleck’s three kids. The former couple tied the knot in June 2005 and started growing their family that same year. Violet arrived in December 2005, followed by Seraphina and […]

The college freshman elaborated on the virus.

“Here’s what we know about SARS CoV2. It is airborne, floating and lingering in the air, one infection can result in disabling damage to almost every cell in the body from the brain and heart to the nerves and blood vessels,” she explained. “Every subsequent infection increases the risk of long movement and places people who already have it in greater danger.”

Violet continued: “As Dr. Akiko Iwasaki says, at this point, the whole population is the control group, and after only five years, long Covid has surpassed asthma as the most common chronic illness in children in five years and under.”

Later in her speech, Violet said she was “terrified” for children in school who “will not know a world without debilitating pain and exhaustion, who cannot trust their bodies to play, explore, and imagine” after being infected.

“I am furious on their behalf,” she continued. “It is a neglect of the highest order to look children in the eyes and say, ‘We knew how to protect you and we didn’t do it. We have access to a technology to prevent airborne disease, something that millions of our ancestors and millions of people around the world today would kill for, and we refuse to use it.’”

Violet also expressed her fears about “where we will be in another five years of unmitigated infection and reinfection.” She elaborated by bringing up the movement to ban smoking in public spaces.

The then-couple went on to welcome daughter Seraphina […]

“Many of you fought the long and hard battle against indoor smoking. My only memory of that era at almost 20 years old is being confused as a child about the no smoking signs on planes. ‘Who would do that? That’s gross,’” she recalled. “My hope for this event and my belief in this community pressed on the belief that we can and we must do that again. We can recognize filtered air as a human right, as intuitively as we do filtered water.”

She concluded: “We can create clean air infrastructure that is so ubiquitous and so obviously necessary, so that tomorrow’s children don’t even know why we need it.”

Affleck and Garner, both 53, were married from 2005 to 2018. Along with Violet, the former couple share Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13. Violet has stepped out with her famous mother on several occasions, including a 2022 state dinner at the White House. Earlier this year, the teen wrote an emotional essay about the impact of recent California wildfires on her community.

  • Reese Witherspoon Shares Challenges as a Young Mom in Hollywood

    [ad_1]

Reese Witherspoon is opening up about what life was like as a young mom in Hollywood.

“There are parts of it that are private and personal and I don’t really want to talk about, but I will talk about having kids at a young age,” Witherspoon, 49, said during the Saturday, September 20, episode of “The Interview” podcast from The New York Times.

“There was so much I didn’t know,” she continued of her experience being a young parent. “And maybe that naïveté was good, because it’s like, ‘Oh, I’ll just do that and have a career.’ And I did have a few people say to me, ‘This is going to be really hard on your career.’”

She continued, “There were roles I couldn’t take. I had to have this immediate balance of family and career, being a mom and being a working actress. That’s why it was also scary when Legally Blonde became such a big hit. I wasn’t going to beg for parts; parts were coming to me. And that almost made it scarier, because I wasn’t picking and choosing what I would reach and strive for. It was more like, what will I not do?”

Reese Witherspoon said filming her sex scene with Mark Wahlberg in the 1996 movie Fear was a “not a particularly great experience.” “I didn’t have control over it,” Witherspoon, 47, told Harper’s Bazaar in a cover story published on Wednesday, July 12. “It wasn’t explicit in the script that that’s what was going to happen, so that […]

Witherspoon was just 23 years old when she gave birth to her first child, Ava, in September 1999, whom she shares with her now ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe. The pair — who said “I do” in June 1999 when the actress was six months pregnant — went on to welcome son Deacon in October 2003 before they eventually called it quits in June 2008. (The actress also shares son Tennessee Toth with her ex, Jim Toth.)

“You know what the most ironic part was? I was always being told by people in the industry: ‘Don’t play a mom. It’ll make you seem old.’ And I was like, ‘But, I am a mom,’” Witherspoon continued. “There was so much about our business that desexualized you, so you couldn’t be a movie star if you played a mom. And thank goodness, that’s sort of going by the wayside.”

She added, “But that was a big part of when I was in my 20s and 30s: Don’t play a mom. No men will desire you, or nobody will want to go see that movie because nobody wants to see a movie about a mom.”

Witherspoon credits her close friend, fellow actress Jennifer Aniston, for helping her navigate those early years as a working mom in the entertainment industry.

“As I got a little bit older, Jennifer Aniston was really helpful for me, navigating personal life and tabloid curiosity and also shutting out all the noise,” she explained. “We played sisters on Friends. I remember I brought my baby, Ava. Ava was only 3 months old when I was on Friends in 1999. And I remember Courtney [Cox] and Jen coming to my dressing room and knocking on the door and going, ‘We heard you have a baby!’ I was like: ‘I do. I have a baby!’ They were like: ‘Can we see it? Oh, my god, this is so cool.’”

She continued, “And I just remember them being so kind about it. That kindness opened a door for me to ask Jennifer a lot of questions when I went through breakups or a really public divorce, and she was just always very generous with advice and care.”

  • Natalie Wood’s lookalike daughter and granddaughter stun in new photos inspired by the late star

    [ad_1]

Natalie Wood has been dead for 44 years, but her legacy lives on in her daughter, Natasha Gregson Wagner, whose new fragrance line L’Amour Mēre is inspired by her legendary late mother. The 54-year-old, who was just 11 when Natalie died due to an “accidental drowning” on November 29, 1981, at age 43, has put her daughter, Clover, 13, front and center as the face of the new line. While Clover may be the star, Natasha features alongside her daughter in the campaign, with the duo posing for some stunning new photos by Jonathan Ressler.

“I think it’s just my way of connecting my daughter to my mom,” Natasha told People. In one photo, Natasha and Clover sweetly embrace in matching black and white dresses that boast voluminous tulle mesh skirts, and the similarities between the mother and daughter duo and Natalie, who passed her dark hair and facial features down to her daughter, are uncanny.

Natasha was inspired by her mother’s signature gardenia scent when she created her fragrance line, Natalie, in 2016. “I’ve always searched for beauty. I love the idea of bottling a memory,” she explained. Almost 10 years later, Natasha is relaunching the line with three scents, according to People. “Natalie, the original Gardenia; the rose-based scent, C-Love (“If you add the ‘R’ to C-love, it’s Clover,” she said), and Lyublyu, (“That means love in Russian, which is inspired by my grandmother – who always said ‘I love you’ in Russian.”)

Natasha admitted that Clover, whom she shares with her husband Barry Watson, has become more curious about her grandmother as she’s grown up. “She’s curious about my mom’s level of fame,” Natasha admitted. “She’s aware of young people that are famous and she’ll say, ‘How famous was she?’ Like Justin and Hailey Bieber or something?”

Natasha added that Clover has recently seen her grandmother’s famous 1961 film Splendor in the Grass, in which she starred alongside Warren Beatty, about the doomed love affair of two high school sweethearts. “That’s a pretty intense film, so she’s intrigued by the emotional spectrum of her performances,” Natasha said. “Clover is a very sensitive person. And I think she has that example in her grandma, being vulnerable but also such force.”

Clover is named after her grandmother’s character in the 1965 film Inside Daisy Clover, in which Natalie starred opposite the late Robert Redford, who was a relatively unknown actor at the time. Natasha rarely spoke about her mother but began opening up more when she launched her fragrance line in 2016, followed in 2020 with a documentary, What Remains Behind, and a memoir, More Than Love: An Intimate Portrait of My Mother, Natalie Wood.

“I have more of a mission because it’s not just about having a famous mom, it’s also about survival of grief and what that looks like,” she previously told People. “And I have a bit of a story to tell around it because I am not a victim of it. I’ve gotten through it. I feel this real responsibility to share her, and I just want to help Clover understand who she was too.”

  • Stephen Baldwin Opens Up About Daughter Hailey Bieber and Her Success

    [ad_1]

Stephen Baldwin is a proud dad! The Fled actor made a rare comment about daughter Hailey Bieber’s success during his Wednesday, September 17, appearance on Tori Spelling’s “MisSPELLING” podcast.

“Some people achieve all different levels of experience and success. Look at my daughter. I never talk about her, but my daughter has done the impossible, relatively. But in this day and age, in the last 10 years, it’s not impossible. It’s happened,” Baldwin, 59, said. “It’s like these kinds of successes are happening. And young people are making unbelievable amounts of money on the Internet in ways that are very sketchy. So God bless her.”

Stephen shares Hailey, 28, and daughter Alaia, 32, with wife Kennya Baldwin.

Both Hailey and Alaia are fashion models who have worked with brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and more. Alaia is also an advocate for endometriosis awareness. Meanwhile, Hailey launched her skincare brand, Rhode, in 2022. e.l.f. Beauty acquired the brand for $1 million in May, and Stephen praised Hailey for the business move.

“The cool part of it is she’s super smart, smart in business,” Stephen said on “The Adam Carolla Show” podcast in July. “Succeeded as a model prior to everything she’s doing now. But the cool part was she actually had an offer to do something pretty big and cool in the cosmetics a couple years ago and didn’t.”

Stephen added that Hailey decided to make a product that she herself would want to use — and her gamble paid off.

“The reason it’s succeeding is people are responding to it. It actually works as hydration and all of that,” he continued.

Stephen also gushed about his daughters’ romantic partners. (Hailey married Justin Bieber in 2018, and the pair welcomed son Jack Blues in August 2024. Meanwhile, Alaia tied the knot with businessman Andrew Aronow in 2017, and they share daughter Iris, 5.)

“I’m blessed that my two daughters married two great guys,” he gushed.

Stephen concluded, “The sweet part of my kids too is, in the wake of whatever their success is, their dad remains the same. I’ve always been the same way. You know you’re going to tell your daughter the truth.”

Back in December, Stephen gushed about his life as a grandfather of two and how much he was looking forward to Christmas with Jack, now 13 months old.

“He’s grown like a weed. Actually, he looks like a little plump potato,” the Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test alum told TooFab. “He’s so cute. I can’t stand it. I want to say so much.”

Stephen also shared his special grandparent nickname.

“Grampy. We’re going with Grampy. But it’s with a W. A lot of people don’t know that,” he continued. “So G-W-A-M-P-Y is Gwampy. So that’s kind of the handle I’ve been going with. It was my granddaughter Iris, my first grandchild. It was the name she gave me.”

  • Meet Paula Deen’s two famous sons who’ve followed her into the spotlight

    [ad_1]

Paula Deen is back in the spotlight over a decade after courting major controversy and losing all of her major contracts and shows. The cookbook author, restaurateur and Food Network star’s reputation seemingly plummeted overnight after being sued by an employee at her brother’s restaurant for racial and sexual discrimination, and then admitting in her deposition that she did in fact use a racial slur (specifically, the N-word). Since then, she’s kept a much lower profile while continuing her work in the restaurant and TV space.

Now, at 78, the TV chef is the star of Billy Corben’s new documentary, Canceled: The Paula Deen Story, which provides her own take on what allegedly happened concerning the lawsuit, how she feels her reputation has been “tainted” in the past decade, and how she and her family members have been living and working in the 12 years since.

Thoroughly involved in every process from start to finish, and featured in the documentary as well, are her two sons, Jamie and Bobby Deen. The pair have been by their mother’s side from the very beginning, born to her first husband Jimmy Deen, who she married when she was just 18. Read on to learn more about Jamie and Bobby’s lives in the spotlight, and where they stand on Canceled now…

Jamie Deen, the older of Paula and Jimmy’s two sons, was born in 1967, two years after they got married. Following her divorce in 1989, Jamie stepped up with his brother to support their mom in her business venture, The Bag Lady, preparing lunches for workers. Jamie and his younger brother Bobby would act as delivery boys.

In 1996, Jamie partnered with Paula and Bobby to open their restaurant The Lady & Sons in Savannah, Georgia. The restaurant was a success, eventually becoming what propelled the family to nationwide fame, followed by cookbooks and a deal with the Food Network that began in 1999. Jamie featured often on his mom’s shows Paula’s Home Cooking and Paula’s Party, although not as prominently as his brother.

The Lady & Sons closed in July 2025, but Jamie remains a business partner with his mom and brother. He co-authored four cookbooks with Bobby, and he now lives in Savannah, Georgia with his wife Brooke and their three children. He also participated in Canceled, telling The Hollywood Reporter: “I’m here for Mom. That’s it. Mom feels like this is an opportunity, and my prayer is she will get what she needs from this.”

Bobby Deen more prominently assumed the spotlight compared to his older brother. While he found fame in the same avenues, as a business partner for The Lady & Sons and his mom’s Food Network shows, he also was instrumental in branching out with their own shows like Road Tasted. He’s also helmed shows of his own like Not My Mama’s Meals, Holiday Baking Championship, Spring Baking Championship and Junk Food Flip.

He wrote his own cookbook, From Mama’s Table to Mine, which was a bestseller, and made his feature film debut in the 2017 project In Search of Liberty. In 2013, he married his wife Claudia Lovera, and they welcomed triplets in 2019. Speaking with THR, Bobby was less keen about the documentary, saying: “It just felt like a lot of time had passed. I didn’t see the reason to go back and over it and rehash it. Because we had survived it. As a family, we had survived it. Our business had survived it.”

  • Johnny Gaudreau’s Son Baptized in Outfit He Picked Before His Death

    [ad_1]

Meredith Gaudreau had her oldest son, Johnny Gaudreau Jr., baptized in a special outfit — the one his dad bought him last year.

Meredith shared photos from the big day via her Instagram Stories on Sunday, September 7. In one picture featuring all three of the pair’s children clad in white outfits (Meredith is also wearing a white dress), she credited her late husband, Johnny Gaudreau, for “picking out Johnny’s outfit last summer, got me these shoes for Christmas in 2023.”

She continued: “And he bought Noa her shoes that I keep rebuying in bigger sizes 🤍. Wore this dress to my bridal shower.”

Meredith shared a second photo that showed Johnny Jr.’s younger brother, Carter, who appeared to be concerned as his older brother had water poured on his head during the baptism. “Yes, Carter u next,” she captioned the photo.

Late hockey star Johnny Gaudreau’s wife, Meredith Gaudreau, is celebrating their son’s 1st birthday. “Happy 1st Birthday to our baby boy! We love you so much, Baby Johnny! Already so strong and so special,” Meredith wrote via Instagram on Saturday, February 22. “‘I can’t believe you gave me a boy,’ is all John said over […]

Johnny, 31, and his brother, Matthew, 29, were killed by a drunk driver while riding bicycles in Oldmans Township, New Jersey, in August 2024.

Meredith and Johnny’s youngest son was born on April 7. “Another baby boy 🥹💙. Carter Michael Gaudreau — same middle name as his daddy. 8lb 3 ounces, 20.5 inches — exact same as his daddy. He looks exactly like his daddy too 🥰,” she wrote via Instagram.

She added, “I love you so much my baby! We are going to have so much fun. I can’t wait to give you the best life, my special boy forever.” The pair also share daughter Noa, 2.

Meredith announced she was pregnant with Carter at the memorial service for Johnny and Matthew. “We’re actually a family of five,” Meredith said during a eulogy for Johnny. “I’m in my ninth week of pregnancy with our third baby. A total surprise, but again, John was beaming and so excited.”

“I was so nervous because this was, again, a total surprise,” Meredith added. “But his reaction was just immediately kissing me and hugging me even though I was driving the car. After the initial excitement sank in, every time he looked at me, he would say, ‘You’re nuts, you know that? Three kids?’”

Despite the grief that came with his death, Meredith also said she was grateful for her family. “Noa, our oldest, hasn’t even turned 2 yet,” she said at the time. “In less than three years of marriage, we’ve created a family of five. It doesn’t even sound possible. But I look at it as the ultimate blessing. How lucky am I to be the mother of John’s three babies? Our last one being a blessing and so special, despite these difficult circumstances.”

She concluded: “To my babies, Daddy loves you all so much and you have the best daddy in the world.”
