Imprisoned YouTuber Ruby Franke’s ex-husband engaged 6 months after finalizing divorce

Ruby Franke’s ex-husband Kevin Franke is focused on his new life since his ex’s arrest — with a new wife. This week, six months after finalizing his divorce, Kevin announced that he is engaged to fiancée Becca Bevan, and planning to marry her next month. His ex-wife, the disgraced family YouTuber, 43, is currently serving a 30-year prison sentence, after she and the family’s therapist Jodi Hildebrandt, 55, pleaded guilty in December 2023 to felony child abuse involving two of the former’s six children with her estranged husband. The former couple’s six children, who featured in the YouTube channel 8 passengers, are daughters Shari, Abby, Julie and Eve, and sons Chad and Russell.

In a post on Facebook, Kevin first shared: “A lot has transpired since I’ve been on Facebook several months ago,” before confirming: “I am thrilled to announce my engagement to a wonderful and amazing woman Becca Bevan. We are planning a simple wedding November 14 here in Springville, [Utah] with family.”

Kevin then reflected on coming out of the traumatic few years that he has had between his ex-wife’s scandal, the abuse of his children, and the divorce. “I just wanted to share my happy news with all of you my friends. Redemption is a real thing. There were moments during the past three years when I didn’t think I would ever feel happiness or the warm embrace of a loving partner again,” he said.

“I’m so grateful for grace, resilience, a loving God who gives me hope, and family and friends that buoyed me when I couldn’t stand on my own. Thank you, All! Here’s to new beginnings and fresh starts!” the post concluded, followed by engagement portraits of the happy couple, with details of their wedding date and where donations can be sent to.

Earlier this year, Kevin and his son Chad opened up for the first time since Ruby’s sentencing about where they stand with her. “I definitely hate the things she did,” Chad, her eldest son, told People, noting: “I feel like I’m also a very lighthearted person in a sense where I would never wish someone to have a bad life.”

“What I really hope is that from here she becomes a better person and that she works on that, and she truly tries to change,” he maintained, before sharing that he has “no contact with her and I don’t plan to anytime soon,” though added: “But then again, she’s still blood.”

“She’s still my mom and maybe down the road, eventually I’ll have a conversation with her, and maybe eventually have a relationship where we can just talk but when it comes to her actually being a mom and then eventually a grandma, I don’t think I’ll ever have that kind of close relationship again,” he continued. “It’s hard of course,” he relented, though added: “But when I go home, I feel like no one is missing, I don’t really feel like, ‘I wish mom was here.’ I don’t really have those feelings really at all.”

“It doesn’t feel wrong not having her in my home and that’s okay. So I feel like I’m in a good spot even though she’s not here,” he confessed, as Kevin revealed: “The last letter that I received from her from prison was maybe in March or April of last year and then I requested The Department of Corrections to ask her to stop writing me … I didn’t want to hear anymore. I didn’t like what she was saying — and I’m not going to share that, that’s between her and me — but it just didn’t feel right. It didn’t feel good. And I’m very angry. I’m still very angry. And I need space and I need time.”

Taylor Swift Reveals How Travis Kelce Designed Her Engagement Ring

Taylor Swift was pleasantly surprised when her fiancé, Travis Kelce, popped the question with a one-of-a-kind engagement ring.

“He designed it with this amazing jeweler, Kindred Lubeck,” Swift, 35, said in a Friday, October 3, interview with the U.K.’s Heart radio station. “She does all of her gold engraving by hand.”

According to Swift, she was the one who introduced Kelce, 35, to the jeweler.

“I had shown him a video [that] I just thought was so cool,” she told hosts Emma Bunton and Jamie Theakston. “I had shown him a video a year and a half ago, and he was just paying attention to everything, it turns out!”

Kelce proposed to Swift in August with an old mine brilliant cut diamond set on a gold band with smaller stones and a thin bezel.

“When I saw the ring, I was just, like, [gasping],” she quipped on Friday. “I was like, ‘I know who made that! I know who made that! And also, you listen to me.’ He did amazing, it was, like, ‘You really know me.’”

Swift added, “I didn’t know what I would want, but he did somehow, and that’s kind of a flex.”

As Swift promoted The Life of a Showgirl on Friday, she also gave Heart listeners a glimpse of her and Kelce’s wedding planning journey.

“You would think that I had been the type of person who would have been obsessed over the idea of a wedding my whole life, but I actually never thought about what I would do or what I would want until I met the person,” she said. “So, I haven’t actually even thought about that [or] doing a [bachelorette party] or whatever.”

Swift further stressed that she and Kelce “haven’t even really started” planning their wedding while she’s in her Showgirl era. (Swift recorded the album during the European leg of her Eras Tour in 2024.)

I want to make more music videos, like, I actually have time to do stuff like that. We can’t move on [because] I’m having too much fun with this. I mean, I just got engaged. These things just happened to me.”

That being said, Swift can’t wait to marry Kelce.

“I’m really excited, too,” she gushed. “He’s the most fun person [and] he’s such a natural in life, like, he’s never been nervous about anything in his entire life. It’s pretty fun, He’s all the things — he’s fun and vibrant and has this infectious personality [and] makes me laugh so much.”

Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, even served as the muse for many tracks on The Life of a Showgirl.

“There’s a line in [one of the] songs that says, ‘You just wanted a best friend who you think is hot,’” Swift said of “Wi$h Li$t,” which was the last track she wrote for Showgirl. “Well, that’s kind of it.”

Several stars are taking the next step in their relationship in 2025 by making things official with their significant other.

Days after the New Year, Zendaya sparked engagement speculation when she was spotted on the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet with a ring on her left hand. While inside the awards show ceremony on January 5, the Challengers star continued to wear the jewelry as she posed for pictures — despite taking off her Bulgari necklace.

Rumors were further fueled when the Los Angeles Times reported that Zendaya “kept showing her ring, smiled coyly and shrugged her shoulders mysteriously” after being asked about her relationship status with Tom Holland. (The actor did not attend the awards show.)

Mark Consuelos Recalls Kelly Ripa Proposal After Brief Split

Mark Consuelos is recalling his spontaneous proposal to now-wife Kelly Ripa, just one week after their brief split.

“I broke up with her ‘cause I was dumb and it was the most agonizing week of my life,” Consuelos, 54, said on the Monday, September 15, episode of “The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast.” “I just knew that I never wanted to feel like that. I’ve never felt like that in my life.”

The actor revealed that when he broke up with Ripa, 54, she wasn’t “returning any of [his calls]”, but they both happened to have to be together to “do a bit of PR.”

“We were both on a soap,” he explained, noting that they were going to be “presenting a winner” for the “Queen for the Day” segment on the Live with Regis and Kathy Lee Gifford show. “We both tried to get out of it. I called the PR person. … She tried to get out of it as well.”

Consuelos went on to say that Ripa didn’t want to speak to Consuelos, despite his many attempts to strike up a conversation. Eventually, he convinced her to walk with him through Central Park.

“She really didn’t want to, but I was convincing,” he said. “We ended up back at my place downtown and I asked her to marry me. … She said, ‘Ask me when you’re serious. And I said, ‘I am dead serious. … We have a day off work tomorrow. Let’s fly to Vegas and get married.’”

The pair eloped in Vegas in May 1996. To this day, Ripa is thankful it all worked out the way it did.

Taylor Lautner Reacts to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Engagement

Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner is subtly celebrating her engagement to Travis Kelce.

Lautner, 33, reshared a Tuesday, August 26, post from the NFL’s official Instagram account that featured Swift and Kelce’s engagement photo and a photo of them after the Chiefs won the 2024 Super Bowl.

“I cannot believe this is really happening,” the post read, which is a quote from Swift, 35, on the field with Kelce, also 35, following the big game. The NFL added, “Same.”

Swift announced on Tuesday that she and Kelce are engaged after two years of dating.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” the caption read.

Swift and Lautner dated briefly back in 2009 after connecting on the set of the film Valentine’s Day. She later wrote the song “Back to December,” which was on her Speak Now album, about their romance. Despite their breakup, Swift and Lautner have remained friendly over the years.

In July 2023, Lautner made a cameo in Swift’s music video for “I Can See You,” a bonus track from the re-release of Speak Now, alongside Joey King and Presley Cash. During Swift’s concert in Kansas City, Swift brought Lautner, King and Cash on stage to celebrate the video’s premiere. Swift gushed about how Lautner impacted her life.

Lady Gaga, who is on the promotional trail for her latest movie, Joker: Folie à Deux, was first linked to Michael after a New Year’s Eve party in 2019.

After they were seen together at the 2020 Super Bowl, Gaga made things official with a playful photo of herself perched on her boyfriend’s lap. “We had so much fun in Miami. Love to all my little monsters and fans, you’re the best!”

Recalling their first encounter at the party in December 2019, Gaga stated: “I got invited and I said, ‘I wonder if Michael is going to be there,’ and my mom said yes. Shortly after confirming her happy news, Lady Gaga flashed her glittering diamond engagement ring, which reportedly set her fiancé back a staggering $578,000. The breathtaking ring is an eight-carat, oval-cut diamond solitaire set in platinum.

Lady Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, has been engaged twice before. She was first set to marry Chicago Fire actor Taylor Kinney, 43, in 2015, and then talent agent Christian Carino, 55, in 2018.

On Valentine’s Day in 2015, Taylor proposed with a heart-shaped engagement ring, however in July 2016, they called it off.

No Joker – Lady Gaga’s engagement ring is stunning. The diamond solitaire set in platinum reportedly set her fiance Michael Polansky back a cool $578,000 but it was worth every cent.

Lady Gaga inadvertently revealed she was engaged at the 2024 Paris Olympics earlier in the summer, when she introduced Michael to French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal as “my fiancé” while the trio enjoyed a swimming event together.

Minnie Driver: Marrying Josh Brolin Would’ve Been a ‘Big Mistake’

Minnie Driver has nothing to hide. The Good Will Hunting star, 54, opened up in a lengthy interview with The Times published on Saturday, July 6, about her previous relationship with actor Josh Brolin.

Driver and the Dune star, 56, were engaged in 2001 and broke up that same year after a 5-month courtship.

“The one time I was engaged, it would have been, I think, the biggest mistake of my life,” Driver told the British publication.

The Ella Enchanted actress had also revealed in The Times profile about how her parents, Gaynor and Charles, had never married due to her father’s infidelities. Their relationship had influenced the way she views her own love affairs.

Sophia Bush is not engaged to Ashlyn Harris, despite those cozy pictures of the pair in Paris.

The One Tree Hill alum, 41, shut down proposal speculation via her Instagram Stories on Saturday, May 25, posting a selfie displaying her bare ring finger and writing, “I hear the internet is being wild? Y’all 🤣⚰️I have no ‘news’ for you.”

Engagement rumors emerged after Bush apparently hid her left hand in Harris’ jacket in a pic of the couple in front of the Eiffel Tower. “But wouldn’t you put your hands all up in her jacket if you could??” Bush added on her Story post. “(To be clear you can’t because boundaries, but I’ll continue to do it for you because I’m just generous like that).”

Bush shared another angle of the cuddly photo with Harris, 38, with the caption, “I just wanna squeeeeeeeeeze her … I get that it’s new for y’all to see me so happy and so embodied. It’s new for me too. How lucky am I.”

Some social media sleuths also pointed out that in a group photo from their Paris trip with actress Beanie Feldstein and composer Benj Pasek, Bush seemingly strategically placed heart emojis over her ring finger as she put her arm around Harris.

To further clear the air, Bush shared another photo of her left hand sans engagement ring and said that she will “try to keep the emojis more symmetrical for you all in the future … I hope TikTok can relax now. Travel on, friends.”

The hoopla started on Friday after Bush and Harris shared their adventures in the City of Love. In one sight-seeing still, the soccer star wrapped her arm around Bush’s waist. In another, the couple posed with Feldstein, Pasek and TikTok influencer Dylan Mulvaney in front of the Eiffel Tower.

Bush’s hand is, coincidentally, hidden in all the pics.

Bush and Harris have been linked since October 2023 following their respective splits from Grant Hughes and Ali Krieger. A source confirmed to Us Weekly at the time that Bush and Harris met at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity the previous June and developed a friendship. After both of their marriages ended, Bush and Harris’ connection turned romantic. (Bush filed for divorce from Hughes, 42, in August 2023, two months before Harris filed to end her and Krieger’s marriage.)

Bush, for her part, publicly came out as queer in April.

“I finally feel like I can breathe. I don’t think I can explain how profound that is,” she wrote in a Glamour essay. “I feel like I was wearing a weighted vest for who knows how long.”

Tamar Braxton Is Engaged to Jeremy ‘JR’ Robinson Again After Split

Tamar Braxton has officially reunited with ex Jeremy ‘JR’ Robinson for a Christmas Day engagement.

“3 months ago we thought we HATED each other and we were completely OVER🫠…. Here we are after a simple football game box you got for your birthday and one REAL HARD conversation … we knew that whatever happened in the past was just that and ANYTHING other than US and our family only mattered,” Braxton, 46, captioned an Instagram video on Monday, December 25, “So the truth is WE DONT CARE if anyone disagrees with it … we choose to love each other OUTLOUD and PROUD🤷🏽‍♀️because we found something worth fighting for and forgiving each other for EVERYDAY in front and behind the scenes.”

Braxton concluded her post writing, “I love you with my entire heart and from now on our troubles are miles away🙏🏼📍✨….I’m having myself a Merry little Christmas now❤️✨.”

Robinson also shared a look at the ring while celebrating Christmas with his own Instagram post.

“Merry Christmas from our family!” he captioned the series of photos. “Love @tamarbraxton forever…”

The couple’s re-engagement comes three months after Robinson confirmed their split in October. (Robinson announced that he and Braxton had officially reunited earlier this month.)

“The truth is I was in an amazing place financially and mentally. I turned down Queens Court several times before I gave in. Ultimately, I fell in love and it did not end how I wanted it,” Robinson’s caption continued. “So I want to heal. Tamar and I will always be friends and family for life.”

Olivia Culpo is putting her future in-laws on the map — thanks to her TikTok account.

The model is engaged to San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, and his parents — Lisa and Ed McCaffrey — have made a rare appearance on Olivia’s social media account, causing fans to gush over their sweet relationship.

“Find a mother in law who matches your post game energy,” Olivia captioned an October 2023 TikTok that showed her dancing with Lisa while celebrating a 49ers win.

Lisa also made a second appearance in a “Get Ready With Me” TikTok when the model was preparing for one of Christian’s games.

“Do you really like him for real though? … You swear?” Lisa asked. Olivia replied, “It’s the real thing. It’s the real deal.”

Lisa then wanted to know “why” Olivia wanted to marry her son. “I’d have to write you a book,” the model responded.

Christian, for his part, has shared various details about his life leading up to NFL fame — especially how his dad prepared him to become a professional football player at 8 years old.

“He had us doing dynamic warmups dude. No sodas, bedtime 7:30,” Christian shared on the “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast in March 2023. “They would take our phone ‘til I left for high school, at a time. He’s going to hate me for saying all this, but it worked.”

He added, “Diet was always important. Sleep was always important. Now, we were kids, man. We could go over to the friends’ house, it wasn’t anything like that. But when it came to sports and to school, it was, ‘Hey if you want to be here, here are the things you need to do.’”

Everything Zendaya Has Said About Those Tom Holland Engagement Rumors

Wedding bells are still not ringing for Zendaya and Tom Holland — at least not yet. On Sept. 21, Zendaya shared a selfie showing off her hat in a car window, but what fans took most notice of was the massive pearl ring on her hand, sparking another round of speculation that she and Holland are engaged.

Zendaya got wind of the speculation immediately and followed up her post with a now-deleted Instagram Story video to shut the latest rumors down. “I can’t post anything you guys! I posted it for my hat!” she said, before pointing out that the ring wasn’t even on the engagement finger (the fourth finger on the left hand). “Not for the ring on my right finger, you guys. Seriously, you think that’s how I would drop the news?”

This isn’t the first time Zendaya — or her mom, Claire Stoermer — have shut down Tomdaya engagement rumors. On Nov. 29, 2022, a Twitter account called Pop Tingz tweeted that the “Spider-Man” co-stars-turned-lovers were engaged. Although the tweet didn’t provide a reputable source, the claim took off, racking up nearly 7,000 retweets and quote tweets in total in a matter of days. Another unverified account called Pop Hive picked up the “news” and received even more engagement from thrilled Tomdaya fans, garnering 75,000 retweets and quote tweets altogether.

The rumors were just “clickbait,” however. On Nov. 30, 2022, Stoermer posted text on her Instagram Story that read, “Clickbait typically refers to the practice of writing sensationalized or misleading headlines in order to attract clicks on a piece of content. It often relies on exaggerating claims or leaving out key information in order to encourage traffic. The term is generally used in a dismissive sense.” Based on the timing of her post, Stoermer was seemingly suggesting that those initial Tomdaya engagement rumors were just that, clickbait.

Zendaya and Holland have long kept their relationship under wraps in the public eye. The actors first met after being cast in 2017’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” and the romance rumors started shortly after they began filming for the movie.

Over the next four years, Holland and Zendaya appeared to only be friends as they pursued romantic relationships: the former romanced Nadia Parkes, and the latter started dating her “Euphoria” costar, Jacob Elordi. It wasn’t until July 2021 that things got serious between the two “Spider-Man” stars after they were spotted making out at a red light in Los Angeles. The photos reignited dating rumors, but the couple didn’t address the speculation until Holland’s November 2021 GQ cover story, telling the outlet they’d publicly confirm their relationship “when we’re ready to talk about it together.”

Fans have always admired Zendaya and Holland’s sweet bond as they’ve supported each other in their professional and personal lives. In the past, each of them has shared cute birthday messages on social media. They’ve even supported one another on set and at red carpet premieres (in matching outfits, might we add) for any projects they weren’t starring in together.

While this pair may not be engaged, Zendaya and Holland’s relationship is still the stuff of storybooks. So, considering Zendaya asked fans, “You think that’s how I would drop the news?” we can probably expect the pair to tell us directly ~~when~~ if they get engaged.

Zooey Deschanel is a fiancée. On Aug. 14, Deschanel and Jonathan Scott announced their engagement on Instagram with a sweet selfie, offering a close-up look at the actor’s one-of-a-kind engagement ring. “Forever starts now!!!” the couple captioned their joint post. According to People, the “Property Brothers” star proposed to the bride-to-be during a family trip to Scotland, with a unique sparkler featuring a colorful floral design.

Deschanel’s ring appears to spotlight several different gems, including a center purple flower stone and additional silver and pink diamonds. Her adorable, Barbie-pink manicure complemented the gorgeous piece of jewelry.

Classic rings are always in style, but unique engagement rings, particularly with multiple stones, have become more prominent in recent years. While Deschanel has not yet shared the significance of her jewelry, rings with three stones typically represent a couple’s past, present, and future.
