    Aw! Travis Kelce isn’t done talking about his engagement!

    The football star is in Brazil as he prepares for his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, to face off against the Los Angeles Chargers in São Paulo on Friday, kicking off the regular NFL season.

    During his first press conference since announcing his engagement to Taylor Swift on Thursday, a reporter asked the 35-year-old how his “life has changed” and if he’s had any “difficulty to focus” on the field since he started “dating” the pop star. Definitely a loaded question considering the singer’s been blamed for pulling his focus from the game, and the athlete has also been candid about how his standards “slipped a little bit” last season while he pursued other opportunities, resulting in a disappointing Super Bowl loss.

    But before getting to even address the question, his teammate, Patrick Mahomes, who was beside him, hilariously chimed in to make sure they all got it right:

    “Engaged!”

    Hah! That’s right, not just dating anymore! And how could everyone forget that detail?? It’s practically all anyone’s been talking about — including Trav and his family!

    Everyone laughed at the correction as Travis smiled and replied:

    “There we go. Exactly. I got one more ring from it. Well, two if we’re counting the first Super Bowl.”

    LOLz!

    The New Heights podcast host then got serious for a moment, expressing:

    “I would say, ever since I’ve been dating Taylor, life has been fun, you know. It’s been exciting. Obviously, a lot more eyes and I accept that, but it’s just… I’m living life. Living on a high, I guess.”

    Patrick added:

    “It’s a dream, dude.”

    So sweet!

    Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged! It looks like they couldn’t fight the alchemy any longer—on August 26, Taylor Swift shared she’s engaged to the 35-year-old NFL player after two years of dating.

    Swift posted the announcement on Instagram with the caption, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

    Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce quietly started dating in August 2023 shortly after the Kansas City Chiefs star loudly proclaimed his interest on his New Heights podcast the month prior. Though he was unsuccessful at giving Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it at her Eras Tour concert, he did manage to grab her attention with the shoutout, which Swift later called “metal as hell.”

    The pair’s courtship didn’t fly under the radar for long, of course. The pair hard-launched their relationship when Swift famously attended a Kansas City Chiefs home game in September before riding off with the tight end in a convertible. While she has watched him win multiple games since then—including the 2024 and 2025 Super Bowl—he returned the favour at multiple international Eras Tour performances.

    “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she told Time in December 2023. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”

    Many Swifties have been waiting for the announcement for a while, with some believing Kelce popped the question during a romantic boat trip in Lake Como, Italy, in May 2024. That same day, Entertainment Tonight had reported that “a proposal might be on the horizon” for the It couple. “Taylor and Travis are doing amazing, and their loved ones see an engagement coming sooner than later,” the source said at the time. “They make a great match and there’s no question about that.”
