Gisele Bündchen’s effortless waves have practically become their own aesthetic — the kind of glossy, undone texture that feels both beachy and impossibly effortless. And while her Brazilian roots certainly don’t hurt, her secret weapon is actually a hydrating hair oil that’s marked down for Cyber Monday.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, her stylist, David Von Cannon, used Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian Gloss Hair Oil to craft her 2023 Met Gala waves. He chose it for a “light and airy” finish with “maximum shine,” which sounds especially appealing with winter dryness approaching. Plus, now that it’s marked down to 25% off a bottle, there’s truly no better time to buy!

Get the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Glossy Hair Oil for just $27 (originally $36) at Amazon! Please note, prices are accurate at the date of publication but are subject to change.

This hair oil delivers instant supermodel energy. Packed with patauá and pequi oils, it hydrates, smooths and brings that glossy, camera-ready shine Bündchen wears so naturally. It even helps repair damage and keeps frizz under control for a full 72 hours, which is necessary when your hair is part of your brand.

Beyond the near-perfect waves, if anything would win Bündchen over, it’s the Cheirosa ’62  scent. Warm, creamy and totally addictive, it leaves your hair with a dreamy smell that lingers long after styling. To top it off, the same product delivers 450° heat protection to keep every strand safe during the blowout process.

The 45-year-old fashion icon is definitely not the only one who’s into this Sol de Janeiro find. Shoppers have been quietly buying it by the thousands, leaving tons of glowing reviews. With more than 1,400 five-star ratings, it has buyers like this one saying they “feel like a celebrity” when they use it.

Another customer said the oil has them, their daughter and their mother “addicted,” thanks to its “long-lasting smell and hydration.” They also raved that it’s “just the best oil around,” noting that “the smell, the texture [and] the consistency” are “divine.” They even added that it “doesn’t leave the skin tight [or] dehydrated.”

If glossy, Gisele-inspired waves are calling your name, consider this your sign. This hair oil gives you shine, softness and that warm, beachy scent in one easy step. Don’t miss the chance to score it at 25% off — your hair will thank you all winter!

  • 37 fringe hairstyles if you’re considering bangs

Few hairstyles are as timeless, versatile and relevant as a fringe. In every decade fringes have found a way to make face-framing look beautiful, from the ’50s Audrey fringe to ’70s curtain bangs, voluminous ’80s fringes, wispy ’90s fringes or side-swept ’00s side-bangs.

The good news is they’re as popular (if not more) than ever right now. “There’s a huge fringe revival happening,” confirms celebrity hair stylist and ColorWow international creative director, Dom Seeley. Even better, the question isn’t whether to get get a fringe, but which fringe hairstyle to choose. “There are so many variations, from wispy to blunt, or curtain-style like Sabrina Carpenter,” notes Dom.

Below, we’ve rounded up the most popular fringe hairstyles for 2025/6…

    The Audrey fringe

Alongside big, swooshy curtain bangs, you may have noticed another emerging fringe hairstyle vying for the top spot recently. Enter: the Audrey fringe, also known as letterbox bangs. The Audrey Hepburn-inspired fringe features a brow-revealing length that’s been emulated by everyone from Ariana Grande, to Zoe Kravitz, Leighton Meester, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Lais Ribeiro and Alicia Keys.

“This style is ‘piecey’ and not overly thick, so hints of the forehead can be seen through them,” explains top hair stylist and trend forecaster Tom Smith, who predicted it would take off last year. “And, thanks to the lighter density, it won’t look blocky,” he adds.

    The boho fringe

Is it 2004 or is bohemian fashion and beauty having a very modern revival? Led by the likes of Suki Waterhouse, Sienna Miller and Daisy Edgar-Jones, floaty dresses and floaty fringes are making a comeback. Hair-wise, the key to a fringe hairstyle like this is a softly ruffled shape (nothing too sharp or blunt). The beauty is that it makes this fringe much more versatile. It can be worn straight across (and full and thicker looking) or parted to look closer to a curtain fringe. It should be “quite full, with some separation (but not too wispy),” explains pro hair stylist and Aveda educator, Leah Hill, who notes it can be shaped into a few different styles. Paired with a mussed-up, free-spirited texture, the boho fringe is set to be a headliner.

  • Knots Landing actress, 84, is ageless at star-studded event

Donna Mills looked as ageless as ever during an outing with her close friends and fellow stars Alana Stewart, Morgan Fairchild and Jaclyn Smith, at the Farrah Fawcett Foundation 2025 Tex-Mex Fiesta. The event, which took place in Dallas, Texas, saw the iconic ladies dressed to impress, with Donna wearing a turquoise outfit that featured fringe detailing and a black belt to cinch in her waist. The Knots Landing star looked youthful in the stunning outfit, with her blonde hair worn in a blowout and glamorous eye makeup applied.

Donna portrayed the scheming Abby Fairgate on Knots Landing from 1980 until 1989, cementing herself as an incredible talent. Prior to this role, she made her film debut in 1967 with The Incident, then starred in the soap opera Love Is a Many Splendored Thing for three years. Her big break came when she starred opposite Clint Eastwood in the 1971 flick Play Misty for Me.

The 84-year-old shared insight into how she maintains her youthful visage in an interview with First For Women, revealing that she emphasizes clean eating. “I love bread, I love dessert, I love ice cream and all those things, but carbs make me put on pounds, so I try to avoid them,” she explained. “As a dancer, eating protein was the way I had to eat.”

She continued: “I found a great Keto book and began to make some low and no-sugar desserts out of it, and they’re delicious,” before adding that hydration was key. “Staying hydrated is also important for energy. I never used to be aware of this – I could go all day without drinking water – but I began to realize that isn’t good for me.”

As for her workout regimen, the actress detailed her favorite exercises to AARP. “I play tennis five times a week, for two hours at a time. I am lucky enough to have a clay court, which is so much easier on your joints than cement. I also have a small gym in my home, so I work out with light weights, use my Peloton, do a lot of stretching on my ballet barre.”

Donna was glowing as she stepped out at the charity event

“And let me tell you, it’s not always fun. Like almost everyone my age, I have arthritis, and it hurts sometimes. But this is where discipline comes in. I’m not Superwoman, but I do always see the bigger picture,” she declared.

As for skincare, Donna’s message was clear: “The main thing is stay out of the [expletive] sun! It makes such a difference. And somebody asked me, ‘Why don’t you get [cosmetic enhancements]?’ No, because I’m not going to look like a duck. I’d rather have lines than a duck bill.”

Donna starred in Knots Landing for nine years

Donna still keeps in touch with her Knots Landing family, especially Joan Van Ark and Michele Lee. “[We] are still dear friends 40 years after we starred in Knots Landing. We even get together for the fans. And some show up wearing that dramatic eye makeup like my character, Abby!” she told AARP.

  • Dua Lipa just launched a new skincare line and it’s all about next-level glow

Put simply, TFC5 includes biomimetic peptides, moisture-enhancing proteins and protective antioxidants to nourish the skin barrier, improve elasticity and kickstart renewal but at levels designed for a younger 18 to 35-year-old audience.

To test drive the formulas, Dua took the lab samples on tour. “I was like, this is the perfect test if my skin can keep up with all the travelling and the dancing and the sweating and the makeup. When it [Dua’s skin] was showing up for me, even on the hardest days, I was like, OK, we’re onto a winner.” She added that she noticed her skin was calmer and felt stronger, too. “Sometimes I tend to get a little bit of redness. And it really kind of took a lot of that away.”

In a very un-celeb move, she’s more excited about letting her skin “reset and recharge” rather than jump on a new, trending makeup look for the upcoming party season. “With my tour wrapping up towards the end of the year, I’m really just looking forward to giving my skin a bit of a break from makeup and leaning into more of a natural, less-is-more look,” she said.

As for Dua’s top tip for reinvigorating dull, winter skin? Instead of highlighter, “I always use the Supercharged Glow Complex to help give my skin that glowy look and keep it hydrated at the same time. It’s like magic in a bottle and goes to work immediately after you put it on.” See you in the queue.

My verdict on every product in the DUA collection:

I was one of the first beauty editors to receive top-secret lab samples from the DUA skincare range. Here are my honest thoughts:

    DUA Balancing Cream Cleanser

    DUA Balancing Cream Cleanser

One of my favourite types of cleanser is a cream-to-foam formula because it does the job of lifting away makeup and daily grime but is still gentle on the skin. I like how the DUA Balancing Cream Cleanser left my pores feeling squeaky clean without stripping my skin and that there’s even the hero TFC5 complex in this step, alongside prebiotics to help balance the skin, tsubaki oil to melt away makeup and lipids to hydrate.

    DUA Supercharged Glow Complex

    DUA Supercharged Glow Complex

I’m actually obsessed with this product. For the past few weeks, the Glamour team has been asking what I’m using on my skin as it’s defying winter’s grey, dull, withered legacy. Well, team, here it is – a vitamin-packed serum designed to firm the skin and give it a mega-watt glow with TFC5, niacinamide and a non-irritating marine ingredient that mimics retinol.

    DUA Renewal Cream

This gel-cream moisturiser is the dream consistency for me. It strikes the perfect balance between being deeply hydrating and not being heavy or pore-clogging. I love how it leaves my skin feeling bouncy, but it is also powered by some scientifically heavyweight ingredients, including TFC5 and a peptide to keep the skin barrier strong. Better still, I like how Dua has made this a very inclusive product. It plays nicely with sensitive and spot-prone skin, too, thanks to a blend of amino acids and pre- and postbiotics to calm any redness and balance the skin.

  • Nia Long is ageless in sultry photo following major milestone

Nia Long has seemingly found the fountain of youth, if her latest social media post is anything to go by. The iconic actress took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a sultry snap in honor of her 55th birthday, complete with a cocktail and a luxurious bath. In the photo, Nia appeared to be in her home with a robe thrown on and one foot on the lip of the bathtub as she leaned forward, drink in hand. She wore her tresses pulled back into a chic bun in the black-and-white picture, and fans couldn’t get enough of her glowing look.

“Epic,” wrote one, while another added, “Beautiful photo!” A third chimed in, “She’s so fine. I just wanna kiss my screen,” while another declared her an “icon”. Nia shared an exuberant message to encapsulate her special day. “This life is sweet…DOUBLE NICKELS BABY!!! 10-30 #itsmybirthday,” she wrote in the caption. Nia also posted a photo of herself on Instagram grinning from ear to ear, with the message, “Beyond grateful for another year of growth.”

Nia has long been praised for her ageless appearance and incredible skin, yet shared her desire to break the stigma around aging in Hollywood with People in 2022. “I so appreciate the compliment,” she began. “But I have to tell you, there’s so much pressure in this industry to stay beautiful and to stay young. And I’m really not interested in leaning into this idea of perfection.”

“I am a proud 51, and eventually I’m going to age in a way where it’s obvious and I want it to happen beautifully and gracefully,” she continued. “I don’t really want the pressure of feeling like I have to be beautiful and perfect because I think beauty comes at any age.”

As for her beauty secrets, Nia doesn’t swear by any one product or diet. “I don’t do anti-aging things, or use products because I think I look old or am trying to avoid aging. I use products to stay healthy and to keep healthy, vibrant skin. There’s a difference,” she explained.

“The skin gods have definitely blessed me. I’m always grateful and thankful for my good, clean, healthy skin. But I don’t take it for granted. And in order to maintain healthy skin, you have to do the work.” Nia, who has been in the industry since the ’80s, has learned the importance of self-love over time.

The actress shared that her flawless skin was down to good genetics

“I honestly think the real beauty comes from within. And I know for myself, I am a work in progress. I mean, we can use all the creams, all the lotions, all the makeup in the world, but if you’re not feeling good on the inside, the beauty just isn’t radiant. It becomes sort of this superficial mask,” she said.

Nia has barely aged since the early days of her acting career

The mom of two is a Hollywood staple, having starred in 1991’s Boyz n the Hood, 1995’s Friday, 1997’s Love Jones, and in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. She is set to play Michael Jackson’s mother, Katherine Jackson, in the upcoming biopic, Michael, about the pop star’s life. Colman Domingo will portray Michael’s father, Joe Jackson, while the “Thriller” singer’s nephew, Jaafar Jackson, will play the titular role.

  • Ariana Grande Returns to Brown Hair Ahead of Wicked: For Good Premiere

Ariana Grande is back in her brunette era.

Grande, 32, dyed her hair brunette after rocking blonde hair for her Wicked character, Glinda. The actress showed off her freshly dyed mane via Instagram on Wednesday, October 29. She posed in front of a mirror and donned a kissy face while debuting chocolate brown strands. Her tresses were parted to the side and styled in voluminous curls, which she tucked behind her ears.

Grande complemented her hair with a full beat, including filled-in brows, winged liner and extra-long lashes. She contoured her cheeks and completed her makeup with glossy lips.

“It’s good to see me, isn’t it? 🫧,” Grande captioned the post, referencing her famous Glinda line. She also tagged her hairstylist who created the look, Francesco De Chiara, and her makeup artist, Michael Anthony. Fans were quick to compliment her new look in the comments section.

“Ahhh brown hair is back!! 🤎😍,” one wrote, while another added, “looove this hair colour on you.” A third commented, “Brownie babyyyyyy😍,” as even more dropped brown heart emojis.

Grande previously had honey blonde locks, which she wore while playing Glinda in Wicked, and Wicked: For Good, which premieres on November 21.

The singer opened up about dyeing her hair blonde for Wicked, even though she was wearing wigs while filming. In September 2024, she told Vogue that she chose to lighten her mane to “deconstruct her pop persona” and bring Glinda to life.

Along with her bright mane, Grande bleached her brows, which she joked about in January while chatting with Variety.

    Giles Keyte/NBC

“Glinda required a lot of vocal work for me,” she explained. “Certain things maybe won’t melt away. Some will, but I’m really grateful for the pieces that will stay with us forever. What a beautiful thing to be left with, and to feel the ghost of every day.”

She added, “And, you know, I’m still looking for my eyebrows. I’ll let you know if I find them — I hope I don’t.”

Grande again joked about her brows in September 2023, while sharing her makeup routine in an episode of Vogue’s “Beauty Secrets” series.

“I’m gonna go a little out of order and start to fill in my eyebrows because I’m sure they’re driving you crazy too,” she said with a laugh. “I’m currently, like, half Glinda. I’ve been bleaching my eyebrows for a year now. I definitely need to touch them up.”

Ariana Grande is paying homage to her younger self in the upcoming film Wicked. Early screenings of the new musical, which hits theaters on November 22, have revealed that the pop star, 31, is listed in the film’s credits by her full name, Ariana Grande-Butera. During a recent interview with Australian reporter Justin Hill, Grande […]

Grande then went in with the MAC Eyebrow Styler in the shade Fling and filled her hairs in.

In November, she got candid about her glam while playing Glinda, sharing that she “loves” her character’s look. “Glinda’s makeup kinda made me transform my entire look and my entire relationship to makeup,” she said in an Instagram video at the time.

“There’s no thick eyeliner. There’s no, like, heavy crease. It’s just, like, really warm and open and pretty and the lashes are in cat shape, which still gives you the cat eye lift that I usually love.” Grande added, “It’s also just a more honest representation of what you look like.”

  • Pamela Anderson looks radiant at the pop-up launch for her new beauty brand

Actress and reality TV star Pamela Anderson is bringing her vision of mindful beauty to life. The star hosted a press preview event on Friday, October 24, to celebrate the launch of a pop-up for her beauty brand, Sonsie, at Shopify NY. Open to the public this weekend, the serene space is filled with lush greenery and sensory touches inspired by Pamela’s Vancouver Island home – the same natural haven that shaped Sonsie’s ethos of simplicity, sustainability, and self-care.

In partnership with Shopify, Pamela also unveiled the Sonsie x Shopify Mindful Beauty Award, a $100,000 grant designed to empower early-stage, female-founded brands in the beauty and wellness world. The initiative aims to spotlight entrepreneurs who lead with mindfulness, sustainability, and purpose.

The announcement came during an intimate Q&A with her son and co-owner, Dylan Jagger Lee. Her other son, Brandon Thomas Lee, was also there to support his mom and brother, making the event a true family affair.

“Sonsie has always been about more than products – it’s a way of living, something we’ve built together. It’s a movement in beauty,” Pamela shared.

She went on to explain why she remains fiercely independent in business: “It’s too important to hand off. We can take creative risks others might not – like investing in new biodegradable packaging – because meaning matters most. Having a garden be our main source of inspiration… we can have fun with it.”

Reflecting on the family-run venture, she added, “It’s a challenge we took on as a family – which makes it all the more special. It’s easy to give your name away to brands you know nothing about, but we’ve learned so much – about great ingredients, sustainability, and how it all works. We’re proud of the decisions we’ve made – for us, and for what we have to offer you.”

Away from the glamour of the Hollywood spotlight, the 58-year-old enjoys a relatively quiet life at Arcady, her newly renovated seven-acre home in Ladysmith, Canada. In fact, she recently revealed in an interview that working on improving her home has helped her with her new start.

Speaking to Architectural Digest, she described Arcady as “where everything came back together for me”. Pamela continued: “This whole new chapter? It started in the garden.” The Canadian actress then explained how her love for gardening had started in childhood, but developed into a passion around the time of the pandemic. “When I moved home to restart,” she said, “I instantly thought, I’m going to make an incredible garden.”

For Pamela, the garden felt symbolic of her journey: “The garden is such a metaphor: you can replant your garden every year, rotate your crops. I started learning a lot about it and thought, ‘This is how I want my life to be.” After seven seasons of gardening and taking inspiration from some beloved Gardeners’ World experts – “I love Monty Don, his videos and books,” she told the publication – it has become something the actress is incredibly proud of.

  • Perrie Edwards on acne, agoraphobia and her pregnancy beauty routine

When I meet Perrie Edwards, it’s backstage in an empty bar a few hours before an intimate solo performance. She’s dressed in a sheer, electric blue gown that accentuates her baby bump. “Hiya, are we filming?” she asks as she walks through the door, her glam squad in tow. When I shake my head she grins, kicks off her four-inch platform shoes and settles on the sofa, curling her bare feet underneath her as if this is just a cosy chat between girlfriends.

That’s the thing about Perrie. Despite a stratospheric career in the band Little Mix, which became one of the best-selling girl groups of all time, and a successful debut solo album, she still has an infectious girl-next-door charm.

Perrie is funny, relatable and completely unfiltered – whether she’s talking about motherhood (Perrie is mum to four-year-old Axel and is expecting a second child) or her battle with acne, which is why she is CeraVe’s ambassador for their Stop The Pop, Rock The Patch campaign.

Here Perrie Edwards speaks to Glamour about skin, self-care and empowerment…

When I was in Little Mix, I would sleep in my makeup and then just go over it in the morning – no wonder my skin was atrocious…

Growing up I never had bad skin. It was more that I just hated my skin. I was very freckly, so I was very insecure. Nobody around me had freckles, so I was the odd one out and I felt really ugly as a kid. And then, as I started to get older, I was like, “No, they are so nice and I need to embrace them and now I love my freckles.”

But then I started to get spotty. It was more when I was in the band and maybe down to the amount of makeup I was wearing. It was a vicious cycle because the more spotty I got, the more I wanted to put concealer on and then there were the different time zones, lack of sleep, all of that.

It was crazy. We used to have scheduled glam for four hours, so if we had an 8:00am start, it was a 4:00am start for us. Me and the girls would sleep with our makeup on because our schedule was so intense. I could wake up the next day, have touchups and go to work, but have a few more hours sleep.

Now I never sleep with makeup on. Your skin can’t heal when it’s got a full blanket on, can it? The Lancôme makeup remover is a godsend and it’s so gentle when I’ve got a full face of makeup on. I soak a cleansing sponge in it as it kind of sucks all the makeup away. Then I’ll use my CeraVe oil cleanser.

    CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser

    Lancôme Bi-Facil Makeup Remover

I used to feel like I needed to whack the makeup on to feel pretty…

It was a phase, as well, because trends change, makeup changes and what was cool isn’t cool anymore. I love that girls today are stepping out with lovely tinted moisturised faces and their spot stickers on.

This whole ‘clean girl aesthetic’ is probably my favourite because I just love not having to try as hard. In the mornings I’m useless. I just cleanse and then use my CeraVe spot stickers. They’re so good and once they’re on, you can’t even see them, which is fantastic.

  • The ‘Blood Moon manicure’ is the perfect antidote to nude nails this winter

Burgundy and chocolate shades sing a particular siren song at this time of year when thoughts go to a wintery nail reset. Enter the ‘Blood Moon manicure’, a nail trend that marries both popular polish hues together and has the same DNA as a chocolate cherry manicure.

Better yet, Selena Gomez has just co-signed it as the sophisticated alternative to nude nails this winter. In an Instagram post on 16 October, the star’s go-to manicurist Tom Bachik posted a picture of Selena with the accompanying caption: “Blood Moon Mani for @selenagomez x @fortunepmw ‘Most Powerful Women’ Conference ♥️💅🏼 #nailsbytombachik”.

25 brown nails to try this autumn, from espresso to dark chocolate

On closer inspection, Selena can be seen sporting a nail look that’s a million miles away from the blush-toned, ‘angel nails’ she wore for her wedding. Mimicking the dramatic red glow of an actual Blood Moon – when the Moon looks red after orbiting through the Earth’s shadow – Selena’s nails look a distinct oxblood colour with a touch of mahogany shot through it. Think of it as being like a neutral burgundy, if you will, which also makes it appealing to minimalist manicure lovers.

How to create a DIY ‘Blood Moon manicure’:

US nail brand Apres Nails famously has a gel nail polish shade named Blood Moon, which Tom used to create Selena’s manicure, slicking the polish onto coffin tips before applying his own brand of clear gel polish over the top.

This new riff on an autumnal burgundy nail has exploded on social media and while the brand Apres Nails isn’t available in the UK, good Blood Moon-inspired polishes include Manucurist’s Green Nail Polish In Hollyhock and Dior’s Vernis Nail Polish in 047 Nuit 1947 with a slick of OPI Top Coat over the top for a super shiny, expensive-looking finish.

Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in 155 Rouge Noir

Essie Nail Lacquer in Shearling Darling Dark Burgundy

Nailberry L’Oxygéné Oxygenated Nail Lacquer in Noirberry

Another iteration of the ‘Blood Moon manicure’ that is being popularised on TikTok is an aura nails effect – a mani that features a burst of diffused colour starting from the centre of your nail – which lends the whole look witchy vibes.

TikToker @lightslacquer provided a simple DIY hack for how to create this look, which involves dipping a sponge in water and then adding an oval-shaped dot of oxblood red nail polish to the centre of the sponge. She then circles around it with black polish before dabbing the sponge onto her nails and finishing with a slick of topcoat.

  • ’80s rockstar is ageless in latest bare-faced appearance

’80s rock icon Susanna Hoffs proved that she hasn’t aged a day since topping the charts as one-fourth of the all-female rock band The Bangles. The 66-year-old took to Instagram on Wednesday to check in with her fans, looking better than ever in the short clip. She stood in her bathroom as she addressed her followers with a simple, “Top of the morning to you.” Susanna was glowing in the video, with a bare, slightly freckled face and a wide grin. She sported a green-gray shirt and wore her brunette locks down in soft curls.

“I just woke up! Top of the morning to you! Now, Coffee! #nomakeup #zeromakeup #morningmood,” she captioned the clip. Fans rushed to the comment section to exclaim over her ageless appearance, with one writing, “Just as beautiful as when you first started,” while another added, “I know that young lady. Still beautiful too.” A third fan chimed in, “Eternal beauty!” while another exclaimed, “How on earth do you look that stunning after just waking up???”

Susanna was the lead singer of The Bangles, who formed in 1981 and rose to fame thanks to hits like “Manic Monday” and “Walk Like An Egyptian”, both of which topped the charts. Her bandmates included sisters Vicki and Debbi Peterson, and Annette Zilinskas, with Michael Steele later joining them. After the band split in 1989, Susanna went on to release her solo album, When You’re A Boy, in 1991, followed by several more musical projects over the years.

She wrote a critically-acclaimed novel in 2023, This Bird Has Flown, which was opted for a film adaptation. The musician is married to director Jay Roach, who helmed the Austin Powers movies, as well as the Meet the Parents franchise. The Bangles even reunited to record a song for 1999’s Austin Powers 2, and toured their reunion album, Doll Revolution, four years later.

Susanna re-recorded The Bangles’ hit song “Eternal Flame” in April and shared the reason behind the nostalgic move. “Here is a brand new recording of ‘Eternal Flame’ which I co-wrote in 1988 with my friends Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly,” she said on Instagram

The Bangles were wildly successful in the ’80s

She continued: “I’ve been touched time and again by stories from friends and strangers alike who’ve expressed how much ‘Eternal Flame’ has meant to them, whether the song played as they walked down the aisle at their wedding, or brought consolation. I still wake up each morning, motivated to sing, to write, to make art, and to find ways to connect. I’m still that same girl with that same emotion – older, and hopefully wiser.”

The band sadly broke up in 1989 due to creative tensions, the stress of touring and Susanna’s growing popularity with the media and the fans. While speaking with USA Today, Debbi shared insight into the difficult decision they made to split.

“Maybe Vicki and I were in denial of things getting really that bad. It really was a shocker…I remember there being a big box of tissues and crying so much. It was so emotionally upsetting and devastating,” she recalled.

  • The Life of a Showgirl nail designs inspired by Taylor Swift’s new album

When Taylor Swift launches a new era, she’s doing more than just dropping music. She’s inviting us to revel in the latest world she’s dreamt up. With her engagement to Travis Kelce and the upcoming release of her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, on October 3, fans have plenty of reasons to celebrate. Sequins, rhinestones, and that dazzling aqua-orange palette are practically begging to be worn, danced in, and yes, painted right onto our nails. So naturally, we’ve already got The Life of a Showgirl nail designs on our minds.

For me, half the joy of a new Taylor era comes from finding ways to weave it into everyday life. Nail art becomes more than just polish—it’s a wink to fellow Swifties, a way to feel connected to the larger fan base even if I’m just typing away at my desk. “When you mix the artistry of nails with the devotion of fans, it creates a wearable tribute, something personal, expressive, and instantly recognisable,” says New York City- and New Jersey-based nail artist Erica De Los Santos.

“Taylor inspires trends no matter what she does, and nails are no exception,” says Bana Jarjour, a Los Angeles-based celebrity manicurist. And Swift’s Showgirl era is already making its way into salons.

So what manicure should you get to celebrate TLOAS’s impending drop? De Los Santos recommends any look inspired by sequin-covered costumes, sparkling jewellery, and dramatic spotlights. Vibrant oranges, milky mints, bright blues, and muted peaches from the album cover mingle well with golds and silvers, high-shine gloss, glitter, ombré, and aura fades. “The overall vibe is extravagant, luxurious, and unapologetically eye-catching,” De Los Santos says.

Baggy Jean Baby | Blue Nail Polish

14 Day Manicure Mai Tai Bright Orange Gel Nail Polish

Julie Kandalec, New York City-based celebrity manicurist, educator, and Kiss Nails ambassador, says the trend doesn’t have to include the album colourways: Fans can embrace bold 3D accents, including “gems and feathers (à la stage headdresses), stars, and reflective finishes like metallic and chrome.”

Obviously, the most devoted Taylor mega-fans are booking appointments to get TLOAS nails ahead of the album’s release date, but the experts we spoke to say the aesthetic is also affecting nail art trends in general. That’s likely because the colours lend themselves to other rising fall manicure trends, like crystals and mixed metals. “Whether it’s adding an element of diamond lining to a French or creating something more intricate across the whole manicure, I have no doubt the influence of the Showgirl aesthetic will be seen,” Jarjour says.

As with any trend, experimentation is all part of the fun. “Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone and play around,” adds De Los Santos. “Even if that means choosing glitter over a solid colour or dark purple over a neutral. There are so many colours and texture combinations that come with the trend. There is something for everyone.”

The Life of a Showgirl nail design ideas

Ready to channel Taylor’s new era at your next mani appointment? Ahead, you’ll find The Life of a Showgirl nail inspo all over the spectrum, from subtle aura fades and gemstone accents to full-on, rhinestone-dripping Frenches.

  • Abby Lee Miller Called Out by Fans for ‘Aggressive’ Beauty Filter

Fans playfully put Dance Moms icon Abby Lee Miller on blast for using what appeared to be an “intense” beauty filter.

The dance coach, 60, went viral on TikTok for her picture-perfect face in a clip she shared via the social media platform on Sunday, September 28, while traveling to Iowa to lead a class.

In the video, Miller walked onto a plane with a flawless complexion, detailing her plans upon landing in Des Moines, Iowa, after boarding her flight in Chicago, Illinois.

“See you soon Iowa!!! ✈️ Limited tickets available for today’s events ~ yes, you can pay at the door! 👍🏼,” Miller captioned the post. Her followers were quick to poke fun at her ultra glamorous look in the comments section.

Kris Jenner might have found herself navigating the aftermath of a funny Photoshop fail. After Jenner, 69, took to Instagram on Saturday, August 2, to show off her Oscar de la Renta look, fans noticed that her foot appeared to have six toes. “Does she have 6 toes are am I trippin?” one follower questioned, […]

“The filter is FRYING MEEE😭😭,” one wrote, which nearly 400,000 other social media users “liked.” Another commented, “The aggressive filter 😭,” while a third wrote, “I thought this was a random person with an Abby filter on.” More fans sarcastically called her a “filterless queen.”

Miller teamed her look with a black graphic T-shirt with her namesake company printed on the chest paired with black fitted pants and sparkling rings. Her brunette hair was parted to the side and styled in voluminous curls.

“Hello everyone, good morning! I am on a United [Airlines] flight headed from Chicago to Des Moines, Iowa, to teach all day today at Ocean Athletics,” she explained in the video.

Miller isn’t the only star who people have poked fun at for an alleged Photoshop fail. Kris Jenner was called out in August for appearing to have six toes while posing for a pic at her mom’s 91st birthday lunch.

“Does she have 6 toes are am I trippin?” one Instagram user pondered, while another quipped, “6 toe steppa.” A third social media user added, “6 Toes… WOW.” Other fans wondered if her foot only looked distorted because of the flesh-toned sandals she was wearing.

More Kardashian-Jenner family members have also been accused of heavily editing their social media posts. Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner fell victim in 2019 when they posed together in a KKW Fragrance collaboration. Kim’s rep then told Page Six that the sideways angle was to blame for the incident.

In July, Khloé Kardashian opened up about not altering her photos as frequently anymore while chatting on an episode of her “Khloé in Wonderland” podcast.

These are their confessions. The Kardashian-Jenner family has spent over a decade being accused of heavily Photoshopping and Facetuning their photos on social media — and sometimes, they openly admit to it. Khloé Kardashian in particular has copped to heavily editing her pictures. In 2016, the Good American founder called Facetune “life-changing” in an interview […]

“There was a time that I definitely did,” she admitted. “There was a time when I was around some people that would make me feel like I needed to. I also think it was the era, too. I felt like a lot of people were Photoshopping or heavily Photoshopping more than they do now.”

Khloé joked that she looked like a “cartoon character” when she heavily edited her photos. “I feel bad that I thought I needed to look like that. If I got paparazzied, I’d be like, ‘I don’t look like that. I look like this photo.’”

Khloé added, “I really had to reprogram my mind to be like, ‘OK, we have to lay off the filters. This isn’t real. That’s not how I look.’ And I don’t want to look like that. It was a strange time.”

  • Demi Moore looks so cool in her ‘Gucci bangs’

Demi Moore just proved the universal truth about a great set of bangs: they can do it all. When your fringe fits your face and your style just so, everything seems more elevated, even a humble white T-shirt and jeans ensemble.

Demi Moore relied on a fringe to help her craft her character in the new Gucci short film, The Tiger. The star plays a character named Barbara Gucci in the film, which was directed by Spike Jonze and Halina Reijn to introduce the Demna era at the Italian fashion house.

She turned to hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos to help bring Barbara Gucci to life, and that required bangs. The bangs were a collaborative event between the filmmakers, Demi, Dimitris, and Demna, Gucci’s creative director. “Demna had the idea of the ‘Gucci bangs,’” Dimitris shared. “And [of course] he always has the right vision.”

47 fringe hairstyles if you’re considering bangs

After the group agreed on the fringe, Dimitris got to work, crafting a set of brow-skimming curtain bangs that blended beautifully into Demi’s signature long dark hair.

The bangs looked effortlessly cool with Demi’s heading-to-set outfit of a T-shirt and denim, but they transformed into something completely different when she got into costume and character.

Demi Moore the person’s bangs were a little bit rock ‘n’ roll, but Barbara Gucci’s bangs were more polished, hitting right at the brow and brushed straight across her forehead with piecey separation, swapping the undone look for a “ladies who lunch” aesthetic—especially with the addition of a red Gucci jacket. One set of bangs, two completely different vibes.

In the film, Demi’s character Barbara, the “Head of Gucci International and Chairman of California,” is throwing a glamorous party for her family, but there’s a lot going on under the surface, and things start to get a little… messy.

Demi Moore’s bangs may have been a one-time thing for the movie—she’s back to the fringe-free Demi once more—but if she ever wants to bring them back, we’re 100 percent on board!

  • ‘Bambi brunette’ is autumn’s biggest hair colour trend for cosy girls

Summer is the time of year when we typically lighten up, but right now we’re seeing the hair colour pendulum swing in favour of ‘bambi brunette’ – the of-the-moment hue that hair colourist Mark Leeson describes as “a soft, warm, light-reflective take on brown hair.

Right now you’ll see different iterations of this expensive-looking brunette trend on celebrities including Hailey Bieber, Kaia Gerber and Zendaya. But how exactly does it differ from a regular brunette shade?

    Instagram content

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

Bambi brunette is essentially all about dimension. “It’s almost like you’ve had a summer of sun on your hair, but in a really understated, chic way,” Mark says. “Think gentle caramel and beige tones woven through a brunette base to give it a velvety, doe-eyed glow – hence the name. It feels more modern, glossy and multidimensional than a block brunette.”

This on-trend hue is also ideal for autumn when we naturally crave more warmth in our hair colour. “Bambi brunette brings softness and richness to the hair, but without tipping into overly dark or heavy territory,” says Mark. “It’s the perfect in-between – rich enough to feel seasonal, but with a lightness that keeps the face bright.”

What should you ask your hairstylist for?

The big thing to note is that placement is key. “Ask your colourist for a soft brunette base with lighter warm, caramel accents threaded throughout, particularly around the face and mid-lengths,” Mark advises. “These need to be fine and blended, so it feels seamless rather than stripy. The idea is to add dimension and glow without it looking like traditional highlights.”

    Instagram content

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

How do you keep the shade looking vibrant?

Gloss and condition are everything with bambi brunette. “If the hair isn’t shiny, you lose the effect,” says Mark. Top-up glosses in salon will keep that light-reflective finish but, at home, he recommends using Goldwell’s Dualsenses Color Extra Rich 60 Sec Treatment to lock in luminosity. Also be sure to include a colour protective shampoo in your routine such as L’Oreal Elvive Colour Protect Colour Protecting Shampoo and add shine with a targeted serum or treatment.

  • Vera Wang, 76, stuns fans with ageless glow in latest appearance

Vera Wang has been drinking from the fountain of youth, if her recent social media post is anything to go by. The legendary fashion designer, known for her stunning and unusual bridal gowns, shared a glowing picture to Instagram on Sunday after attending the US Open, and had fans wondering just how she achieves her ageless appearance. She wore a chic beige blouse in the photo, and put her hand on her chin as she smiled for the camera, her iconic dark locks hanging down past her stomach.

“APRES TENNIS…CIPRIANI,” the 76-year-old wrote in the caption, alongside a series of emojis. She then added snaps from her time at the US Open, dressed in a blue long-sleeved shirt, black pants and chunky white sneakers. Her fans ran to the comment section to exclaim over how youthful she looked, with one writing, “What a gift to look like this in this age,” while another added, “You look gorgeous my dear!!!”

“She does not age,” declared another in all-caps, while a fourth chimed in, “Stunning, timeless, beauty. What a great shot.” Vera quickly clarified that her youthful appearance was mostly due to the mood lighting of Cipriani, the famed Italian restaurant beloved by A-listers. “HEY GUYS. GREAT LIGHTING = CIPRIANI !!!!!” she wrote in the comments.

According to Vera, there is no secret to anti-aging; rather, she sticks to a diet that includes healthy foods as well as things that she enjoys, like pizza and McDonald’s. “I go through phases with what I eat for lunch,” she previously told Harper’s Bazaar. “I like sashimi with brown rice and vegetables, Chinese steamed broccoli with chicken and rice, or the artichoke salad or fish from Sant Ambroeus.”

“At one point, I was eating a slice of Ray’s pizza every day, and I never gained a pound on it. It’s not a bad thing if you squeeze out that excess oil. It’s so filling,” she continued. “I only drink water – I stopped drinking Diet Coke six years ago. That was the hardest thing I ever gave up.”

The mother of two has seemingly lived countless lives since her upbringing in New York in the ’50s and ’60s. She started out as a figure skater in her youth, before working her way up to a senior fashion editor position at Vogue. She then launched her eponymous brand in 1990 and has since dressed everyone from Victoria Beckham to Chelsea Clinton.

The famed designer launched her brand in 1990

She isn’t afraid of aging, though, and feels just as spritely now than she did in her 20’s. “After my 75th last year, I said, ‘Maybe, you don’t have to celebrate after 75,’” Vera told People“A lot of my friends don’t want to. They say, ‘I’m too old.’ I said, ‘It’s not about being old. It’s about being here and living, and we should celebrate that.’”

“But you have to celebrate every year that you’re alive. That’s just how I feel,” she continued. “I think maybe a little bit like Warren Buffett [age 95] or Queen Elizabeth II [who passed away aged 96], I’m just going to keep prodding on because I feel as though I’m able to do my best work more and more. I’m really trying to respect that in me, that voice in me, that I feel very happy to be creating. That’s what it’s all about, really.”

  • Selena Gomez’s ‘toasted’ nude nails are the perfect autumn-coded manicure

Nude manicures aren’t going anywhere if our current obsession with BB cream nails is anything to go by. Now Selena Gomez‘s latest manicure has made a case for ‘toasted’ nude nails.

In an Instagram post on 7 September, her go-to nail artist Tom Bachik revealed Selena’s new set. Her short, squoval-shaped nails were painted a deep beige colour infused with iridescent peach pearls, courtesy of Essie’s Special Effect Line in Liquid Sunrise – seemingly an ode to the pictured sunrise on Selena Gomez’s Rare T-shirt.

In the caption Tom wrote, “Trend Alert 💅🏼 Toasted Mani for Fall 🌅💖” – clearly signposting that ‘toasted’ shades were going to be huge for AW25. And it’s not hard to see why. Selena’s ‘toasted manicure’ is the perfect shade of golden hour light. It offers something different to summer’s milky pink nail: it hits the sweet spot between being neutral but also bang on trend for cosy season. It’s warm, understated and leans into the autumnal colour palette.

    Instagram content

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

How to do the toasted mani at home

The appeal of the toasted mani lies in its simplicity – think neatly shaped cuticles, clean edges and polish with the merest hint of shimmer that takes the toasted nail seamlessly from office to bar.

To get Selena Gomez’s toasted nail look, Tom wrote, “we always start with my favorite @tweezerman tools for a meticulous mani. For Sel’s mani we used @essie’s Special Effect line in ‘Liquid Sunrise’. I finished the look off with my favorite top coat, @shoptombachik Click Colors in ‘Super Clear’ (TPO-Free!).”

So first, trim your nails by clipping straight across to create short tips and file the top edge of the nail into a straight line before rounding the edges.

While Selena’s shade of choice, Liquid Sunrise, isn’t available in the UK, there are several brilliant alternatives that allow you to play with similar chrome-like beige, rose gold and nude bronze hues.

Essie Special Effects in Gilded Galaxy is a versatile topcoat that will add a pretty chrome effect to an otherwise dark beige or bronze nail polish. Chanel Le Vernis Longwear Nail Colour in 403 Golden Mermaid is a soft peachy bronze shade while OPI’s Nail Lacquer in Worth A Pretty Penny is shimmery copper. Also good is Mavala’s Mini Colour Nail Polish in 454 Constantinople, which creates a sleek satin finish.

For those who prefer a darker, matte iteration of the ‘toasted’ nude manicure, try Nails Inc Caught in The Nude Nail Polish range, which is inspired by the sandy tones of different beaches. Or Nailberry Oxygenated Nail Lacquer in Cashmere, for the ultimate cosy vibes.

  • What has Donatella Versace done to achieve her ‘youthful’ facial transformation at 70?

From her outfits, to her brand, to her beauty choices, Donatella Versace has always been a ‘more is more’ kind of person – she was responsible for Taylor Swift’s OTT Eras Tour sparkles, after all – so it came as a surprise to the designer’s followers when she posted a new photo to Instagram, debuting a new, lowkey look.

Fashion-wise, the 70-year-old displayed her usual choice of high-octane glamour in a dazzling dress, but when it came to her beauty choices, Donatella looked far more natural, eschewing her usual heavy eye makeup for a laid-back makeup look – but is her new appearance down to more than different makeup? We asked aesthetics experts for their take.

    © Instagram
Donatella Versace debuted a new look on Instagram, leading fans to wonder what work the designer has has done for a fresh visage

    Donatella Versace’s new look

“Donatella’s appearance is noticeably softer and more refined,” says plastic surgeon Dr. Jesús Olivas Menayo. “Her lips appear smaller and less filled, her skin looks tighter and fresher, and her makeup is more natural than we’re used to seeing. Overall, her face looks more balanced and rejuvenated.”

The surgeon says the designer’s jawline is the biggest difference, explaining: “Her jawline in particular seems more defined, which gives her whole face a lifted quality. This could, of course, be the result of a surgical facelift, but it could also be achieved with advanced non-surgical treatments such as QuantumRF or Morpheus8 Burst, both of which use radiofrequency energy to lift, contour and tighten the skin.”

Fellow aesthetics expert Anastasia Koles agrees that Donatella’s jawline has been altered, adding: “Her jawline appears more defined, which could be the result of dermal filler to enhance structure or skin-tightening treatments such as RF microneedling, both of which are commonly used to create a sharper, more contoured appearance.”

Aesthetics experts suspect that Donatella has changed her approach to surgery

That said, Anastasia, who is the founder of ALTA Medispa, adds it could be down to Donatella’s age. “Natural ageing itself can also play a role, as changes in skin and tissue over time can make lips and facial features look different.

“When it comes to Donatella, it’s impossible to say with certainty what procedures she may or may not have had without assessing her in person. “

Donatella Versace’s lips: before and after

Donatella has always been known for her glamorous, glossy pout – which looks notably smaller in the new photo.

Donatella Versace was known for her full, plump lips

“It’s very possible she has dissolved some of her previous filler – especially in the lips, as they now look smaller and more in proportion to the rest of her features,” says Dr. Jesús Olivas Menayo.

“We’re seeing this more and more – women are moving away from the ‘overfilled’ look and choosing a more natural, refined aesthetic.”

Anastasia adds: “Donatella’s lips do appear smaller compared to before, which can happen for a few reasons. In the past, she seems to have had permanent fillers, likely silicone, in combination with hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers layered on top. If the HA filler has been dissolved or has naturally broken down, that could explain the reduction in volume.

Donatella Versace's transformation continues as she puts youthful appearance on display© Instagram

“The initial widening of her lips may also have been due to silicone combined with the effects of a high-tension facelift, where the skin is pulled quite tightly to the sides of the face.”

Different procedures or not, Dr. Jesús concludes of the icon’s new look: “Her softer makeup choices really complete the transformation – showing how a less ‘done’ approach can make the overall effect feel fresher and more youthful.”
