  • Sherrone Moore’s Accuser Lived at Same Complex as U-M Football Players

    [ad_1]

The apartment complex where former University of Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore allegedly broke into after his termination was the home of some of his players.

“Several players” lived at the same complex as the football staff member with whom Moore, 39, was found to have an “inappropriate relationship,” according to a story posted by The Athletic on Monday, December 22.

“One program source recalled seeing Moore there late at night and Moore’s SUV parked at the complex late at night on several occasions,” The Athletic reported. “Moore and the staffer were frequently spotted together in public after he became head coach.”

Moore and the staff member had a years-long relationship, which was officially uncovered after the woman cooperated in a university investigation which led to Moore’s termination on December 10.

Former University of Michigan head football coach Sherrone Moore allegedly sent messages described as “strange or uncomfortable” to at least five women before his termination and arrest earlier this month.  The women all spoke anonymously to The Athletic in a story published on Monday, December 22. Four of the five women provided screenshots of their […]

Shortly after Moore was fired, he allegedly barged into the staff member’s apartment and threatened to harm her and himself with knives he grabbed out of one of her kitchen drawers.

The relationship with Moore and the staffer had been a topic of conversation at the university for over a year, with one source telling The Athletic that the coach attending a University of Michigan lacrosse game with the woman in 2024 “gave the appearance of impropriety.”

“Some sources close to the program said they didn’t give much credence to the rumors, while others said the relationship was discussed openly by coaches and players,” the report said.

When asked about the allegations, a source said Moore “denied the relationship” and “became angry” when a member of the Michigan football staff “warned him.”

During the second half of Michigan’s most recent football season, the university received “an anonymous tip that Moore engaged in a relationship with a female football staffer,” The Athletic reported.

The school failed to find proof of the relationship on their own, but hired the law firm Jenner & Block to conduct an external investigation about the allegations.

According to University of Michigan insider John U. Bacon, the staff member brought “receipts” to officials on December 10, which laid out her relationship with Moore.

Moore was terminated in a one-on-one meeting with Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel that afternoon.

Hours later, Moore was arrested after allegedly forcing his way into the woman’s apartment as she attempted to leave town.

In court records obtained by the Detroit Free Press, Moore allegedly had “a long history of domestic violence” against the staff member.

“[The staff member] advised that she was carrying her belongings downstairs to leave, and while inside of her apartment she heard footsteps outside,” the records stated. “[She] indicated that she ran towards the door to secure it, but before she could, Mr. Moore swung the door open and barged into her apartment with tears in his eyes.”

The documents continued, “[The staff member] indicated that she was approximately 5 feet from the door when he made entry. She advised that she began backing up and as he was approaching her. [She] advised that Moore grabbed two knives out of her drawer and pointed them at her, ‘You ruined my life. You ruined my life.’”

Moore has admitted to having a relationship with the woman, but denied any sort of physical violence or threats toward her.

He was charged with one count of third-degree felony home invasion, one count misdemeanor stalking related to a domestic relationship and one count misdemeanor breaking and entering on December 12.

Moore was freed from jail on $25,000 bond and ordered to wear a GPS tracking device as well as dropping all contact with the staff member.

  • Wiz Khalifa Sentenced to 9 Months in Romanian Prison for Drug Possession

    [ad_1]

Rapper Wiz Khalifa has been sentenced to nine months in prison in Romania on a drug possession charge.

Khalifa, 38, was sentenced Thursday, December 18, more than a year after he was charged with allegedly possessing 18 grams of cannabis following a performance at the Beach, Please! festival in the coastal village of Costinesti in July 2024, the Associated Press reported Thursday, citing Romania’s national news agency, Agerpres.

According to AP, the rapper — real name Cameron Thomaz — was convicted of “possession of dangerous drugs, without right, for personal consumption,”

In April, Khalifa was issued an $830 fine for “illegal possession of dangerous drugs” by a lower court in Constanta County, however, prosecutors appealed the court’s decision and sought a stricter sentence, per AP.

Us Weekly has reached out to Khalifa’s representatives for comment.

The “See You Again” rapper was first charged in July 2024 following a headline performance at a music festival. At the time, prosecutors alleged that he was found in possession of 18 grams of cannabis and said he consumed the drug on stage.

“During a performance at a music festival held in the resort of Costinesti, the accused was found to have possessed more than 18 grams of cannabis and to have consumed (on stage) another quantity in the form of a handmade cigarette,” prosecutors with Romania’s Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) said in a statement at the time, per news agency Agence France Presse.

AFP reported that Khalifa was charged, but not held in custody.

“Last nights show was amazing. I didn’t mean any disrespect to the country of Romania by lighting up on stage,” Khalifa said in an X post at the time. “They were very respectful and let me go. I’ll be back soon. But without a big ass joint next time.”

Khalifa’s run-in with Romanian authorities came the same month that he and girlfriend Aimee Aguilar welcomed their first child together.

“I gave birth exactly a week ago today, so I am a week postpartum,” Aguilar, 31, said in a July 2024 TikTok video showing off her post-partum body. “This is what my stomach looks like.”

“I ended up tearing. So, during the labor and I pushed her out, I tore. I have stitches down there,” she said. “So I think I’m going to wait another week or two before I start doing anything strenuous on my body.”

Khalifa also shares son Sebastian, 12, with ex-wife Amber Rose.

During a January 2024 appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, the rapper spoke about turning up “stoned” at parent-teacher conferences for Sebastian.

“I’m pulling up stoned. They expect it,” the rapper quipped to host Alex Cooper. “They know what’s up. It’s not like back in the day [where] you’re considered a bad parent if you smoke weed. I’m pretty sure my son smells like weed. I don’t know because I can’t smell it, but I’m pretty sure he smells like pot.”

“I’m pulling up high because I want them to connect with the real me. They’re not going to get a fake version of me or this made-up parent that society makes you think that you’re supposed to be,” he said. “I am who I am, and it’s not because I’m a celebrity or anything.”

  • Sheriff Calls Susan Lorincz ‘Far From the Perfect Neighbor’

    [ad_1]

Susan Lorincz called herself “the perfect neighbor” in police body camera footage shown on the Netflix documentary by the same name. But if you ask Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods, that was not the case.

“The only thing I always said is she was far from ‘the perfect neighbor,’” Woods said in a NewsNation interview published Wednesday, October 22.

Lorincz, 61, is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence after being found guilty of manslaughter in the shooting death of her Ocala, Florida, neighbor Ajike “AJ” Owens in 2022. Owens, who was a 35-year-old mother of four, had allegedly been knocking on Lorincz’s door, attempting to confront her about an incident between her and Owens’ kids. Lorincz fired a single shot through the locked door, which struck and killed Owens.

Lorincz was arrested four days later, though she insisted she feared for her life at the time. The shooting drew national attention and debate over Florida’s “stand your ground” law, which permits citizens to use potentially deadly force if they feel their life is threatened. There was a racial component as well, given that Lorincz is white and Owens and her kids are Black.

Woods, for his part, does not believe the shooting was racially motivated.

“Do I believe that Lawrence was probably racist? There’s a very good possibility,” Woods said. “Do I think [the shooting] was racially motivated? Absolutely not.”

    Marion County Sheriff/SL/MEGA

Regardless of her motive, the documentary is made primarily of police bodycam footage shot during Lorincz’s numerous calls to police in the years leading up to the shooting and on the night of the shooting itself. To Woods, that means there’s little room for anyone to distort the truth.

“It’s all body cameras. It’s all videos,” he said. “So you can’t really make up anything. You get to see the raw stuff of what my deputies dealt with on a regular basis.”

Related: The Perfect Neighbor’s Susan Lorincz’s Sentencing and Trial Explained

Susan Lorincz’s trial for the murder of Ajike “AJ” Owens is back in the headlines following the release of the hit Netflix documentary, The Perfect Neighbor. The Perfect Neighbor, which dropped on Netflix in October 2025, unpacks the events leading up to Owens’s death, which occurred in June 2023. Owens, a Black woman, and Lorincz, […]

The video, Woods believes, shows that while Lorincz was in her right to make those 911 calls, in which she would often complain about Owens’ kids trespassing or otherwise bothering her, the kids were doing nothing wrong. They were within their right to be playing on the patch of grass that she would often complain about and their disruptions didn’t rise to the level that law enforcement could do anything about it.

“These types [of] things are petty, these are things that are frivolous, here’s the truth, they’re kids,” he said. “That’s all it was. These are kids.”

“It didn’t rise for us to be called every time but I do have a burden of responsibility when a citizen calls,” he said. “I think that’s what the show shows. It shows how my deputies did the right thing each and every time, explaining to her, ‘no, they’re perfectly fine. They’re kids.’ It’s tragic.”

Marion County police took heat at the time for waiting four days to arrest Lorincz — something highlighted on the documentary. Woods tried to clear up any misconceptions there, saying that in a stand your ground state, the “burden” is on law enforcement to first prove that the law does not apply to a given situation. The delay happened so police could gather evidence that a defense attorney could not dispute.

The Perfect Neighbor is streaming now on Netflix.

Christian ‘”King” Combs was filmed partying two days after he attended his father Sean “Diddy” Combs’ court appearance.

In a video shared by Live Bitez via Instagram on Sunday, October 13, Christian, 26, is seen dancing in a club with his girlfriend, Raven Tracy, and pouring a shot of what appears to be liquor into her mouth.

The night out followed a Manhattan court hearing held on Thursday, October 10, which was attended by Diddy, 54, and six of his seven children including Christian. The hearing determined a start date — May 5, 2025 — for Diddy’s trial following the music mogul’s September 16 arrest on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. (Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges.)

The lengthy Instagram video was captioned, “King Combs Declares He’s Got the Baddest Girl in the World While Turning Up with Friends at the Club! #kingcombs #raventracy Yall giving her Tens?” and showed Christian singing along to songs including Mya’s 2000 track, “Best of Me, Part 2,” featuring Jay-Z.

Christian, also a rapper, was also filmed telling the camera that he had “the baddest girl in the world,” as friends of the couple danced around them.

Thursday’s court hearing attracted Diddy’s children, Quincy Brown, 33, Justin Combs, 30, Chance Combs, twins Jessie and D’Lila Combs, both 17, and Christian, as well as Diddy’s mother, Janice Combs. Diddy is currently incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York.

According to USA Today, Diddy wore “tan prison garb” and “blew kisses” to his family after the hearing ended. Diddy was then “led out a side door by members of the U.S. Marshals Service,” per the outlet.

The hearing followed Diddy’s attorneys requesting that his trial commence in April or May next year. The trial’s finalized date coincides with the 2025 Met Gala, also held in Manhattan.

Prosecutors noted that they believe their case will take three weeks to argue, while Diddy’s team said they required about a week to make their case.

USA Today added that Diddy’s legal team met with Judge Arun Subremanian, who stated that Combs will remain “detained pending his latest appeal for bail.”

Christian vocalized his support for Diddy through his track titled, “Pick A Side,” released in May. The lyrics of song seemingly addressed the March raid of Diddy’s homes in Miami and Los Angeles, reading, “Police raid the crib like they think we selling crack, but we out here selling tracks / Multimillion dollar plaques.”

A further line in the song reads, “Pops been hated on by many men.”

Diddy was taken into custody and placed behind bars after a grand jury indicted him one day after his arrest. His attorney Marc Agnifilo told Us Weekly at the time, “We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children and working to uplift the Black community.”

Buggs’ recent arrest came less than a month after the Tuscaloosa Police Department issued warrants against him on charges of cruelty to dogs in the second degree in connection with a March incident, according to documents obtained by ESPN. (He later turned himself in on May 30, per the outlet.)

Tuscaloosa Police Department responded following a report that two dogs were left on a house’s porch overnight, Us Weekly confirmed at the time. The dogs, who appeared malnourished and neglected, were found at the allegedly abandoned residence that was being rented by Buggs.

“Under no circumstance does Mr. Buggs condone the mistreatment of any animal,” the football player’s agent, Trey Robinson, said in a statement obtained by ESPN. “The dogs at issue did not belong to him and he was unaware they remained at the property in question.”

In the docs, Richard acknowledged the couple got into a fight, which he said was all because of their dogs.

Richard alleged the dogs urinated on some of his belongings, so he confronted Quinn about it. He claimed to have found Quinn in their bedroom with a bunch of cleaning supplies.

Richard was taken into custody while wearing his bathrobe on Tuesday, March 19, after Quinn alleged he threw a bag of glass at her, which ended up striking their son. Richard was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.

A source told Us on Wednesday that Quinn accompanied her son as he was transported to the emergency room in an ambulance for treatment.

Quinn filed a restraining order against Richard, which he almost immediately violated on Wednesday, March 20, when he showed up at their home, leading to a second arrest.
