  • This Lily-Rose Depp–Endorsed Coat Trend Keeps Selling Out From Every Brand

This Lily-Rose Depp–Endorsed Coat Trend Keeps Selling Out From Every Brand

    [ad_1]

Lily-Rose Depp has such an interesting (in a good way) sense of style, so I’m always intrigued by what trends she chooses to wear. She’ll wear a Chanel tweed jacket with gym shorts and look amazing in it. The most recent off-duty outfit she was photographed in while out walking in New York City was a bit more low-key than what she usually wears, but it certainly wasn’t trend-less.

For the brisk fall day, Depp went with a pair of jeans, ballet flats, a shoulder bag, and the coat trend that everyone loses it over: a scarf coat. It can be argued that Toteme is responsible for the current popularity of scarf coats with its wildly popular iteration, but Depp’s scarf coat was a seafoam-green vintage Chanel one from 2001, proving that this isn’t the first rodeo for the coordinating trend. If you’re as into it as everyone else is (Depp included), scroll on to shop some of the best scarf coats on the market right now.

  • Taylor Hill Told Me the #1 Lingerie Trend to Try Right Now

Taylor Hill Told Me the #1 Lingerie Trend to Try Right Now

    [ad_1]

As soon as Halloween is over and the calendar flips over to November, I always think of Mariah Carey’s famous “it’s time” line. What could possibly be a better way to mark the beginning of the holiday season? Well, Victoria’s Secret has an answer. The brand just launched a festive, star-studded campaign with Taylor Hill, Hailey Bieber, Imaan Hammam, Grace Elizabeth, and more. The photos feature the perfect mix of sexy lingerie and cozy, comfy pajamas for the holidays.

I got to chat with one of the campaign stars, Taylor Hill, about all things holiday fashion. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to ask her about her #1 lingerie trend of the moment, and she was quick to give an answer. “We’re already seeing an early emerging trend of lingerie worn as outerwear, and I think this trend will only pick up in popularity in 2024,” Hill told Who What Wear. “It’s amazing to see women define and embrace their sexiness in so many different ways.” This means you’re officially encouraged to wear your corset with jeans, your bra as a top, and your thong with a sheer dress.

I also asked Hill about her favorite pair of PJs. “Long modal pajamas are my favorite in the winter,” she told me. “They’re the perfect way to feel cozy yet put together and I just love how they feel when I lounge around the house. My favorite is Victoria’s Secret’s Modal Long Pajama Set ($70) in the color Lipstick. It’s such a perfect color for the holidays. My sisters and I always love a matching pajama moment throughout the holiday season.”

Switching gears from pajamas to lingerie, I asked Hill about her thoughts on the sexiest new pieces from the holiday line. “The Gold Floral Embroidery pieces are glamorous standouts from the Very Sexy collection. But I also found the long glitter sets in silver and gold to be sexy in an unexpected way—I could totally see me styling these as part of my holiday party looks paired with heels.” Scroll down to shop new arrivals from Victoria’s Secret.

At This Rate, Taylor Swift’s Madewell Blazer Will Sell Out by Friday

    [ad_1]

If you thought Meghan Markle‘s and Kate Middleton’s outfits had an effect on consumer shopping habits, just wait until you see the impact of Taylor Swift’s most recent fall look. The singer, who’s currently wrapping up the first part of her U.S. tour and stopping home in NYC between shows, was spotted in the West Village outside of 4 Charles Prime Rib, where she had dinner with newlyweds Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley. For the occasion, Swift chose an autumnal pairing made up of burgundy Gianvito Rossi ankle boots, a brown corduroy miniskirt from ACNE Studios, and best of all, a cognac-colored leather blazer from Madewell that’s selling at a swift rate similar to any Zara or J.Crew item worn by the two aforementioned royals.

The lambskin leather blazer, in the last seven days, has been added to customers’ shopping carts a total of 354 times, according to its product page on the brand’s website, which is an even bigger deal than it sounds given that its price tag reads $548. As a result, sizes are literally flying off the digital shelves, leaving only a few for Swifties and fall-style fans alike to get their grips on. Scroll down to shop the blazer (as well as the cocoa-colored alt that’s still available in all sizes) and more autumn-ready finds from the brand.

  • All I Need to Copy Blake Lively’s Chic Fall Uniform Is This Under-$150 Cardigan

All I Need to Copy Blake Lively’s Chic Fall Uniform Is This Under-$150 Cardigan

    [ad_1]

Maybe it’s just my imagination, but I feel like the minute that fall weather comes back around in New York City, Blake Lively and Taylor Swift turn on, getting photographed together all the time in effortless autumnal looks that I always want to copy for the entirety of the season. And this year is hardly an exception. In the last few weeks, we’ve seen tons of the two best friends, and just as they always do, both have been showing up in outfits worthy of pressing Control + C on.

Their latest sighting came when the duo was photographed leaving Bradley Cooper’s apartment on Thursday, with Lively and Swift going their separate ways afterward. It was at that moment of separation that I noticed just how good the Gossip Girl actress’s chunky cardigan was—and just how much I needed one for my own wardrobe. Specifically, she wore an oat-colored, shawl-neck cardigan sweater with a matching tee, baggy jeans, UGG slippers from the brand’s collaboration with Opening Ceremony, and a denim Chanel flap bag.

Though I’ve unfortunately been unable to ID her exact knit—I get the feeling that it was stolen from Ryan Reynolds’s side of the closet—I did find a $140 Banana Republic alt that’ll more than get the job done. Shop it and more fall cardigans below.

  • Hailey Bieber Just Made Overalls and Heels the Next Going-Out Outfit Trend

Hailey Bieber Just Made Overalls and Heels the Next Going-Out Outfit Trend

    [ad_1]

When it comes to her night-out style, Hailey Bieber really knows how to mix things up. One night, she’ll be wearing a leather miniskirt and bra top and the next, well, overalls. But I’m not talking about any old outdated overalls outfit—I’m talking about a fashion overalls outfit.

I think we can all agree that overalls tend to get a bad rap. They can just be tricky to style and can look a bit costumey, but as Bieber just proved, they can also actually be chic. How, you ask? Let’s break it down. By pairing sophisticated pieces like a long black coat, pointed-toe heels, and a structured bag, Bieber turned the most polarizing denim item into a cool and sophisticated date night outfit.

I would absolutely wear this outfit but I don’t own overalls, so I found a few chic pairs for all of us that are in the same boat to shop.

Blake Lively Just Wore the Ugg Mules No One Can Keep in Stock

    [ad_1]

Ugg season is officially upon us. In fact, as I type this story, I’m sitting in my desk chair wearing my go-to Ugg Scuffette II Slippers ($95). While I’m wearing run-of-the-mill shoes like a plebeian, Blake Lively‘s pair is significantly harder to get your hands on. Photographed in New York City with husband Ryan Reynolds, Lively wore the Ugg x Opening Ceremony Tasman Slippers that are currently marked up significantly on Poshmark due to their lack of availability. With a cool buckle detail and a trendy platform sole, it’s no wonder these mules sold out lightning fast.

As for the rest of her cozy outfit, Lively went for a tonal look with shades of blue. She layered a lighter-hued sweatshirt under a dark navy-blue coat, finishing off the look with a blue Chanel bag. Taylor Swift’s Prada Boots Are Chic, But These Steve Madden Ones Cost Way Less

    [ad_1]

When she’s not at a Chiefs game or on the Eras Tour (which continues on November 9 in Buenos Aires), Taylor Swift can reliably be found in New York City. Today, she was photographed in West Village going pants-less in the chicest boot trend of the season: heeled knee-high boots. Hers are by Prada, but I’m well aware of the fact that the brand can be quite inaccessible to most shoppers, so I found a pair that bears a striking resemblance for only $199.

Steve Madden’s Bixby Pointed Toe Knee High Boots ($199) are a more-than-worthy alternative to Swift’s Prada version. Boasting the same silhouette, color, and heel height, they’re perfect for re-creating her outfit. To complete her outfit, Swift wore a Polo Ralph Lauren baseball hat, a Stella McCartney polo shirt, and a Tod’s bag. Scroll down to see her newest look and shop similar pieces for yourself.

  • According to Hailey Bieber’s Stylist, Espresso Fall Is a Legit Fashion Trend

According to Hailey Bieber’s Stylist, Espresso Fall Is a Legit Fashion Trend

    [ad_1]

As much as I like to indulge in at least one pumpkin-spice beverage per year—not when fall “officially” starts (aka September 23rd) but when you can actually feel it in your bones—I don’t particularly enjoy wearing the color. Some people can pull off burnt orange. I’m not one of them. Fortunately, Dani Michelle, the stylist behind Kendall Jenner, Bruna Marquezine, and Hailey Bieber’s lusted-over street style looks, has a new color on her mind for fall that’s both delicious visually as well as in taste.

“Espresso fall” was all that Michelle captioned on a street-style photo of Bieber heading into Kim Kardashian’s 43rd birthday party at Funke in Los Angeles. In the image, the model and Rhode founder can be seen wearing various shades of espresso, from a light-roast, suede Prada blazer from the F/W ’23 collection to a medium-roast, leather Zeynep Arçay miniskirt. On her feet are a pair of burgundy Gucci slingback kitten heels from the brand’s first collection with its new creative director Sabato de Sarno, while a matching Saint Laurent 5 À 7 bag rests on her shoulder. And to top it all off, gold Khaite studs were added, as well as her new signature Alex Moss diamond “B” bubble necklace.

All on its own, the perfectly crafted autumn ensemble has solidified espresso as the color of the season, finally dethroning pumpkin spice after a decades-long run at the top. Scroll down to see Bieber’s look and shop the color we’ll be shopping (and drinking!) from now until spring.

  • Elle Fanning Just Wore Every French Girl’s Favorite Fall Flat-Shoe Outfit

Elle Fanning Just Wore Every French Girl’s Favorite Fall Flat-Shoe Outfit

    [ad_1]

Elle Fanning may be a California girl who was walking around NYC this week, but she looked every bit the French girl while doing so. Fanning’s off-duty style has always been fairly classic, and this outfit was the perfect example of her polished casual style, and it was just the sort of polished outfit you’re likely to see on the streets of Paris this time of year.

In my years of covering French style, I’ve found its residents to choose lots of chic basics when they put together an outfit, just as Fanning did on this particular occasion. She went with a black turtleneck, straight-leg jeans, and a trench coat. She accessorized with a black scrunchie, rectangular sunglasses, and a French girl staple: loafers (which are just as popular in Paris as ballet flats lately). Fanning’s versatile, timeless outfit is right in step with the minimal, quiet luxury look that’s happening in fashion right now—and that French women have been wearing for years.

Leave it to Nicole Kidman to get us excited about heading to the airport for the upcoming holiday travel season.

The actress touched down in Sydney, Australia, looking surprisingly chic after a long flight from the U.S. Strolling hand in hand with her husband, Keith Urban, Kidman’s suit and sneakers outfit turned heads, both for its simplicity and comfort factor. And, although most people don’t get dressed up for travel anymore, this airport look is a reminder that leggings and an oversized sweatshirt are not required for boarding.

Ahead, shop several variations on Kidman’s cross-oceanic-approved travel attire, including suiting separates, comfy tanks, and casual-but-cool sneakers. And no, you don’t need to save this ‘fit for your next flight—it’s well-suited for any mode of travel.

Taylor Swift Wore the Trendiest Reformation Shoes to the Latest Chiefs Game

    [ad_1]

Another weekend, another Taylor Swift sighting at a Kansas City Chiefs game. Swift, who was there to cheer on Travis Kelce again, has really struck a balance between showing her Chiefs team spirit and staying true to her signature fun, classic-yet-trendy style. For the home game yesterday, Swift paired a vintage Chiefs sweatshirt with a pleated black miniskirt, black socks, lots of jewelry, and a pair of Reformation shoes that tied the whole look together.

The shoes are the brand’s Lolita Platform Loafers, ultra-high 4.3-inch-heel loafers that made her nearly as tall as Kelce. The glossy leather loafers are still in stock in nearly every size, so if you’re inspired to wear a short skirt with a towering pair of loafers like Swift did, you’re in luck. Since loafers are basically always a trend during this era, they’d be a smart buy. Scroll on to shop the shoes along with a few other pairs from Reformation that I think Swift would approve of.

Katie Holmes Has Been Wearing This Bestselling $178 Madewell Bag All Over NYC

Busy NYC girl Katie Holmes clearly knows that for a long day out and about in the city, you need a bag that can hold everything from a water bottle to a change of shoes to an umbrella. Accordingly, you’ll rarely find paparazzi photographs of her without an oversized bag on her arm. And she appears to have a new favorite one (that happens to cost less than $200).

The bag in question is Madewell’s (a brand that’s very good at making leather tote bags) Essential Bucket Tote in the fall-friendly Chocolate Raisin shade. She’s been wearing the roomy shoulder bag with all of her casual outfits as of late. And if you head over to Madewell, you’ll see that it’s one of Madewell’s best sellers and it has a 5-star rating from the enthusiastic customers that have reviewed the bag. Angelina Jolie Just Wore Fall’s #1 Dress Trend to the Airport

    [ad_1]

Dressing for the airport is always a conundrum. I’m tempted to wear pajamas but I feel slightly embarrassed to be out in public if I’m dressed too casually. On the other hand, who exactly am I trying to impress? It’s not like I have a board meeting to attend! Thankfully, there’s definitely a middle ground between extreme comfort and rigid professionalism. Angelina Jolie, for instance, seems to have mastered the art of airport dressing in her latest look photographed at JFK Airport in New York.

Jolie traveled in fall’s #1 dress trend: the maxi dress. Not only is it in style, but it’s also a super comfortable and airy option for flying long distances. After all, germaphobes like me hate to wear short hemlines for fear of my legs touching the airplane seat! Scroll down to see Angelina Jolie’s newest airport outfit and re-create the look.

You know someone is a true style icon when they continue to provide inspiration decades after they first rose to fame. That’s certainly the case with Kate Moss. Her low-key yet sophisticated looks are perfect examples of what “British-girl style” is made of. She’s done it again with the chic fall outfit she was recently photographed wearing around the streets of London.

While Moss typically wears skinny jeans, she’s switching things up lately. Moss opted for a pair of subtly loose jeans, and the styling trick she utilized is perfectly on-trend for fall/winter 2023: a simple cuff. Cuffed jeans are one of the freshest trends of the season, with buzzy brands like Agolde, Loewe, and Reformation diving right in. But if you don’t own a pair of jeans that were specifically designed to be cuffed, not to worry—you can easily do as Kate Moss did and cuff a pair of full-length jeans you already own. • From the Best Café to the Coolest Vintage Boutique—Jeanne Damas’s Guide to Paris

From the Best Café to the Coolest Vintage Boutique—Jeanne Damas’s Guide to Paris

    [ad_1]

Welcome to Locals Only. In this series, we’re tapping notable locals in the style space to share a tight list of their top recommendations of what to see, eat, and shop in their home city. They’ll share off-the-radar recs that you won’t find in your average guidebook, resulting in digestible mini guides revealing where the city’s most fashionable residents are actually hanging out.

If you were to find yourself sitting on the terrasse at a café in Saint-Germain, perusing vintage treasures at Marché aux Puces, or perhaps drinking a glass of red at a buzzy resto in Le Marais, then you’d probably spot a coterie of cool Parisian women wearing vintage-inspired straight-leg jeans or effortless lacy slip dresses, and most definitely classic oversize (but perfectly tailored) blazers carrying the label Rouje, the fashion brand founded by It girl Jeanne Damas. The entrepreneur, designer, and global style influencer’s very name conjures up the internationally idealized art of casual style à la française—that effortlessly chic Parisian aesthetic we talk of so often, characterized by easy, uncomplicated and timeless wardrobe staples.

The Paris native started her career as a blogger and quickly rose to fame on Instagram documenting her everyday Parisian life and uniform. (She now has a savvy social media presence with 1.5 million followers.) Her global fashion brand, founded in 2016 and now with stores in Paris, London, and New York, is unquestionably an extension of her own personal wardrobe—one made up of feminine pieces; timeless, minimalist staples; and just the right amount of vintage—infused with her own stylish je ne sais quoi.

When Damas isn’t designing or running Rouje in her office on Rue Bachaumont, she relishes in the simple pleasures of everyday Parisian life—playing with her son at the local playground, going to the cinema, hanging with friends on her terrace, reading books at home, or shopping for vintage home finds in Parisian flea markets. Read on to see and discover Paris through her eyes.

Where are you originally from, and how long have you lived in Paris?

I was born and raised in Paris.

What are some of your favorite neighborhoods, and where do you find yourself spending the most time?

I grew up in the 12th arrondissement of Paris and spent most of my life in the 12th/11th. I really like these areas, which are very nice to live in with their local shops, restaurants, and a very interesting mix of people from different backgrounds.

What does a typical day off look like for you?

I like to do things on my own like going to the cinema or just stay at home and read a book, but since I have a child, I spend most of my time off when I’m not working with him, and we very often go to the playground and meet with friends.

If you had to create the perfect afternoon for someone visiting the city with a limited amount of time, which area would you send them to and what would their afternoon entail?

The great thing with Paris is its size, you can do a lot by just walking. I would definitely recommend a nice walk, maybe on the Quai of the Seine, even me I live here, each time I go there I’m charmed by the astonishing view. Then why not lose yourself in the marais with all its old mansions, stores and restaurants. If you can fit it in, the Picasso museum is always worth a visit.

What is one spot in Paris that you’re secretly gatekeeping?

    My terrace.

Which fashion items are key to pack and wear on a trip to Paris? Which items are your “Parisian staples?”

Comfortable shoes—you have to walk a lot while you’re in Paris. When you visit in fall, a pair of high-waisted jeans, a nice top with an oversize jacket like the Jacques by Rouje or a nice trench coat. I would also definitely recommend a wrap dress like our famous Gabin, which can fit every occasion from visiting places to an improvised dinner in a nice restaurant.

I don’t know if you’ve been following the outfits of Jennifer Lawrence as closely as I have, so I’m here to tell you that she’s really nailed the whole casual-chic NYC girl look. Her style has always been pretty classic (which I guess you’d refer to as “quiet luxury” now), but she rarely misses an opportunity to work in a low-key trend or It bag. And while out for a date night last week, she worked in several trends that combined to create a very pretty look.

If you’ve been looking for fresh ballet flat outfit inspiration, look no further than Lawrence, who paired them with high-waisted straight-leg jeans for the night out. She completed the look with an oversized red sweater (trend!), belt (trend!), and a diamond tennis necklace (trend!). Let this serve as proof that if you buy just one red item this season, make it a sweater (and be sure to pair it with ballet flats).
