  • Burbank Public Library Hosts the 2025 Burbank Book Festival

    [ad_1]

Burbank Public Library is proud to host the second annual Burbank Book Festival, a vibrant celebration of books, authors, and readers of all ages. The festival will take place on Saturday, November 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Buena Vista Branch Library.

Born from a conversation between local authors Emily Barth Isler and Erin La Rosa, the Burbank Book Festival has flourished into a joyful celebration of books and community. “We created the Burbank Book Festival to foster a bookish community, connect readers to books, and celebrate local authors,” said Erin La Rosa. “We’re beyond thrilled that in our second year, we’ve been able to expand into the Buena Vista Branch Library and bring eighty authors to Burbank.”

“The book festival isn’t just about connecting readers to their favorite, local authors; it provides multiple layers of community-building,” said Emily Barth Isler. “Authors have told me they’re excited to meet more of their peers who are doing similar work to collaborate and support each other; readers are hoping to meet folks with similar reading interests and form book clubs; volunteers are donating their time partly in the hope of making friends with common interests. It’s really beautiful to see how this event can benefit everyone involved.”

    Festival Highlights

    • Author Meet & Greets and Book Signings: Dozens of authors across genres, including picture books, middle grade, romance, memoir, and adult fiction, will be on site to sign books and connect with fans. Three local booksellers will be on site to provide access to featured titles.
    • Engaging Panels: Discover new perspectives and fall in love with reading again through thoughtfully curated panels, including a Middle Grade Panel and a Romance Panel.
    • Bookish Vendors: Shop unique merchandise and gifts perfect for every book lover.

“The Burbank Book Festival is a wonderful example of how libraries can bring communities together,” said Eric Lashley, Library Services Director. “This event highlights the incredible local talent we have here in Burbank while inspiring new generations of readers.”

Admission is free, and everyone is welcome. Parking is limited, so we encourage visitors to walk, bike, or carpool to make the most of the day.

  • Letter to the Editor: Resident Responds to the Recent Letter Claiming Rent Stabilization is a Scam

    [ad_1]

    Letter to the Editor:

I am a Burbank resident who cares deeply about keeping our neighbors housed and our community intact. I want to respond to the recent letter claiming rent stabilization is a scam driven by outsiders.

The truth is simple: Burbank voters were not rejecting rent protections, they were misled. During Measure RC, hundreds of thousands of dollars were poured into anti-renter campaigns from out-of-town interests like Airbnb and the National Association of Realtors. Over $600,000 locally and $150 million statewide were spent in 2024 alone. These were corporate lobbying groups protecting profit. Even today, Councilmember Chris Rizzotti still associates with the National Association of Realtors — the same group that printed and distributed proven lies about his colleagues during the election. If he truly stood for local residents, he would denounce their involvement. He has not.

Here is a helpful reminder: when someone loudly opposes rent stabilization, take 30 seconds and look them up. See how many rental properties they own. The last Letter to the Editor against rent control was written by someone who owns seven apartment units and eight houses. That is not someone fighting for working families. That is someone protecting income. Burbank is a community, not an ATM. Meanwhile, ordinary residents are struggling. Rent has risen far faster than wages, especially as entertainment industry work has declined.

A rent registry is equally essential. It is basic transparency. Landlords who operate fairly have nothing to fear. The only people fighting it are those who do not want the public to see the ways they take advantage of tenants. Despite what is claimed, “mom-and-pop” landlords represent only 4% of rent-stabilized units in Burbank. Most housing is controlled by larger operators who absolutely can afford basic regulation.

Burbank is a majority-renter city. This is not a fringe issue. It is about seniors on fixed incomes, young families, lifelong residents, and working-class film crew members who want to stay in the city they helped build.

Rent stabilization is not an attack. It is protection. And any leader who claims to love Burbank should protect its people first.

This year’s event will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the UMe Credit Union parking lot in Burbank. Community members are invited to stop by, roll up their sleeves, and help assemble care bags. Attendees who bring a donation item can also enjoy free food, music, and fun for the whole family—a small celebration of big community impact.

  • Burbank Dad Builds App to Keep Kids Safe and Entertained Online

    [ad_1]

When Burbank dad and local app developer Ben Kass couldn’t find a safe way for his two young children to watch videos online, he decided to build one himself. The result is Vidopick, an app that lets parents handpick videos for their kids while keeping them from wandering into unapproved content.

“As a parent, I was always dreaming of having an app that would allow me to custom pick videos for my kids, but also make sure they don’t navigate away, for peace of mind,” Kass said. “Vidopick works the way families actually need it to: simple, safe, and focused on content parents choose for their kids.”

Unlike other options, which are either limited, filled with nonsense, or do not give parents real control, Vidopick puts the choice entirely in your hands. Parents can add any playlists they like. Whether it is educational shows, favorite story channels, or fun science videos, kids get to explore them safely.

Parents can get Vidopick for free, with a few fun playlists already loaded, by visiting https://vpk.to/welcome.

Kass hopes to bring Vidopick to local schools and community organizations, giving educators and parents a simple, safe way to share kid-friendly content that entertains and educates.

  • Letter to the Editor: Resident Feels Burbank losing Democracy to Liberal Fascism

    [ad_1]

Three of the Burbank City Council members are practicing a form of liberal fascism. They are denying the rights of the citizens by ignoring the results of repeated certified elections.

The Burbank voters in two separate elections have rejected rent control in the city. Now Council members Anthony, Takahashi and Mayor Perez are turning themselves inside out to circumvent those results and are pursuing a rent control ordinance against the will of the people. The results of the previous elections were 62% against rent control and 38% for. This qualifies as a mandate from the Burbank voters.

Our vote is our power and these three Council persons are trying to take away the people’s power. Perez, Takahashi and Anthony are pushing their own personal agenda. Anthony and Perez are renters but have refused to recuse themselves from voting on this issue while Councilman Rizzotti has been blocked from voting as a small housing provider.

It is unamerican to ignore the will of the people and it does a disservice to those Americans who believe in Democracy and the United States Constitution.

Perez and Takahashi are up for reelection next year.  If they lose, do they intend to ignore that vote and continue to take a seat on the dais. We have a rightful expectation that the council members we vote for will represent us and adhere to will of the people. If we give up our right to expect our votes to be honored, we will pay a high price. One that could negatively impact our great city of Burbank. If City Council wants to visit the rent control issue again, they must put this issue to a citywide vote.

Nobody in the city bargained for an autocratic government headed by dictatorial leaders. The consequence of allowing any politician to ignore the will of the people will truly be horrific.

Rent control may not be your issue but there are other issues that may impact you and keeping our power with our votes is essential to our democracy and freedom.

    No kings in Burbank.

  • Letter to the Editor: Reader Urges Residents to Take Steps to Protect Their Property

    [ad_1]

    Letter to the Editor:

Recently we in our Burbank neighborhood observed a man near the intersection of Rose St. and Hood Ave. get out of his car and fly a drone around over our area’s homes.

Home burglars are becoming very tech-savvy, as they have used cameras hidden in bushes to follow the comings and goings of homeowners to plan their burglaries and have found ways to disable alarms and video cameras. I’m concerned that drones could also by thieves to find locations that are vulnerable to break-in’s.

Therefore I think people need to take precautionary measures to protect their homes, including checking their yards for hidden cameras and installing interference-proof burglar alarms and video cameras.

  • Catch Me If You Can Comes to the Colony Theatre in 2026

    [ad_1]

Catch Me If You Can: The Musical, coming to The Colony Theatre.

The Colony Theatre (Heather Provost, Producing Artistic Director) has announced a new production of Catch Me If You Can, the musical, in 2026. With music by Marc Shaiman, book by Terrence McNally, and lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman, ten- time Artios Award-winner Michael Donovan, director of The Colony’s smash hit The Wedding Singer this past summer, is set to direct. The original Broadway production of Catch Me If You Can ran in 2011, receiving four Tony Award nominations including Best Musical and winning one (Best Leading Actor in a Musical for Norbert Leo Butz).

Based on the hit DreamWorks motion picture and the incredible true story that inspired it, Catch Me If You Can is a high-flying, splashy Broadway musical that tells the story of Frank W. Abagnale, Jr., a teenager who runs away from home in search of the glamorous life. With nothing more than his boyish charm, a big imagination and millions of dollars in forged checks, Frank successfully poses as a pilot, a doctor, and a lawyer – living the high life and winning the girl of his dreams. But when Frank’s lies catch the attention of FBI agent Carl Hanratty, Carl chases Frank to the end … and finds something he never expected.

Said Colony Theatre Producing Artistic Director Heather Provost, “We’re thrilled to bring this wildly entertaining, high-energy musical to our stage. At The Colony, we’re drawn to shows that dazzle the senses while speaking to the heart, and this show does both in spectacular fashion. It’s an incredible, character-driven story brought to life through the kind of vibrant theatricality we love sharing with our audiences. This production promises to be one of our most joyful yet.”

Casting is by Michael Donovan, CSA, and Richie Ferris, CSA. Casting news and design team will be announced later.

    [ad_1]

On October 11, 2025, Burbank Police officers responded to a commercial burglary alarm at Nails & Spa, located at 1121 North San Fernando Boulevard. When officers arrived, they discovered the front glass door had been shattered, the cash register ransacked, and a mobile credit card point-of-sale terminal stolen.

Burbank Police detectives immediately began an investigation, reviewing surveillance video and utilizing investigative technology to identify a possible suspect vehicle.

According to Lt. Brent Fekety of the Burbank Police Department, “Detectives worked quickly to identify and track the suspects involved. Through coordinated investigative efforts and surveillance, we were able to locate the vehicle linked to the crime.”

Around 1:00 p.m., detectives observed two men exiting a motel room and approaching the suspect vehicle and a nearby car, which was later confirmed to have been reported stolen to the Los Angeles Police Department. Both men were detained without incident.

A subsequent search of the vehicles uncovered distinctive clothing worn during the Burbank burglary, the stolen point-of-sale terminal, narcotics, and a large quantity of identity theft materials. Further investigation linked the suspects to another commercial burglary that occurred on October 14, 2025, at Mario’s Italian Deli & Market in the City of Glendale.

    • Health and Safety Code 11377(a) – Possession of a Controlled Substance (misdemeanor)

Formal charges are pending review by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

  • Home Again Los Angeles and Burbank Temporary Aid Center to Merge

    [ad_1]

Two local nonprofits are joining forces to strengthen support for families facing homelessness, laying the foundation to expand their collective impact.

Home Again Los Angeles (HALA) and the Burbank Temporary Aid Center (BTAC) will merge, leveraging their unique strengths to expand assistance for the region’s most vulnerable residents.

BTAC has served as a centralized resource for Burbank’s most vulnerable residents since it was founded in 1974, offering essential services like providing groceries, hygiene items, household goods, laundry services, shower facilities and more. HALA was established in 2010 by local congregations and volunteers to provide shelter and services for families with children, including housing navigation, transitional housing, security deposit assistance and more. Over the years, both organizations have supported the low-income community through food distribution, rental/utility assistance, temporary shelter, and housing programs.

“This merger is about more than combining organizations,” said Albert Hernandez, the current HALA CEO who will lead the newly merged nonprofit. “It’s about coming together as a community to respond to growing needs with compassion and collaboration.”

As BTAC’s longtime executive director, Barbara Howell will retire November 1 after more than 20 years of service, focusing on recovering her health following an extended medical leave. “One of the things I will miss the most will be my interactions and friendships with BTAC’s amazing volunteers, donors, partners and friends,” Howell said in an October 15th email. “Your support and friendship have not only supported marginalized members of our community but have enriched my life.”

The merged entity will operate under Home Again LA’s umbrella but maintain BTAC’s name for food services, preserving the organization’s half-century community legacy.

The merger process is actively underway, and both organizations are committed to ensuring services remain uninterrupted while laying the foundation for a stronger, more impactful nonprofit dedicated to serving families across the region.

  • Adoptable Pet of the Week: Petunia

    [ad_1]

    Petunia

Petunia didn’t have a great start at life. We knew this right away when she showed up as a stray in the city. We went slow and spent the time needed for her to trust us. Turns out, she’s pretty darn fabulous! She still shows some fear and aggression through the cage with the public, but that’s because she is unsure of new people and their intentions. We highly recommend that you ask to see her out of her kennel, to get a better idea of her true personality.

Petunia is not a good choice for a first-time dog owner. She needs to go to someone experienced and someone willing to continue her socialization. She attends our Sundays Hikes and goes on day trips with our volunteers, and she is learning that not everyone is bad or wanting to do harm to her. It’s a slow process but its working. She should go to an adult home for now. Small kids may trigger her fear. She loves other dogs and would definitely benefit from going home with a four-legged buddy.

She is so unbelievably loving once she trusts you, she just melts in your arms. Petunia is young and will adjust well to a routine and regular socializing/training. If you see yourself being that person and are willing to give what it takes to heal this sweet girl’s heart, ask to see her out in the yard for a meet and greet.

Come visit the Burbank Animal shelter to foster or adopt Petunia!

  • Large Crowd Gathers in Burbank for Peaceful “No Kings Day” Demonstration

    [ad_1]

Between 1,000 and 2,000 Burbank residents filled the intersection of Verdugo Avenue and Buena Vista Street on October 18 for a spirited “No Kings Day” demonstration — part of a growing national movement emphasizing democratic values, local empowerment, and resistance to political or corporate overreach.

The large crowd stretched across several blocks, waving colorful handmade signs while passing motorists honked their horns in support. Chants echoed through the neighborhood, but despite the volume and passion, the demonstration remained peaceful and well-organized.

No Kings Day began as a national grassroots campaign calling for renewed civic accountability and balance of power at every level of government. The movement’s name — “No Kings” — symbolizes a rejection of authoritarianism and unchecked influence, both in politics and corporate life. Across the country, gatherings were held in dozens of cities, from large rallies in Washington, D.C. and Chicago to smaller community marches in towns like Burbank.

Organizers describe the day as a reminder that democracy depends on ordinary people participating in decision-making, not just powerful individuals or institutions. The event’s messaging often blended calls for transparency, fair elections, and citizen-led reform with local themes specific to each city.

In Burbank, the demonstration drew a wide mix of participants — students from Burbank and Burroughs High Schools, local activists, and longtime residents, many of whom expressed themselves as a visible part in a national day of civic action.

Nationally, Republican leaders across the country were largely critical of No Kings Day, framing the demonstrations as anti-American and politically motivated rather than genuine expressions of democratic engagement. House Speaker Mike Johnson called the events a “hate-America rally” tied to extremist groups, while other GOP figures like Tom Emmer and Steve Scalise echoed similar sentiments, portraying the movement as radical and divisive. In several states, Republican governors, including Texas Governor Greg Abbott, deployed additional law enforcement and National Guard units in anticipation of the protests. While organizers described No Kings Day as a peaceful, citizen-led call for accountability and civic empowerment, the Republican response focused on security concerns and questioned the legitimacy of the movement’s aims.

As the sun set, demonstrators gradually dispersed. For many, the peaceful display reinforced a simple message at the heart of No Kings Day — that democracy thrives when ordinary citizens take an active role in shaping the future.

  • Protecting Burbank Drivers After Accidents: Legal Tips from the Law Offices of Adrianos Facchetti

    [ad_1]

Freeways like the I-5 and 134 are lifelines for Burbank residents, connecting commuters to Glendale, Downtown LA, and the San Fernando Valley. But these busy corridors are also among the most common sites for vehicle collisions. Whether it’s a rear-end crash during morning traffic or a side-impact collision while exiting onto Olive Avenue, local drivers are often left unsure of what to do next in the minutes following an accident.

The Law Offices of Adrianos Facchetti, a Burbank-based personal injury law firm, offers clear, step-by-step legal tips for injured motorists. Founding attorney Adrianos Facchetti is not only a long-time advocate for accident victims but also a Transportation Commissioner for the City of Burbank, where he advises on traffic safety initiatives that affect local families every day. By educating the community on what to do after a crash, the firm helps residents protect their health, preserve their rights, and avoid costly mistakes.

What to Do After a Car Accident in Burbank

Immediately following a collision, safety should be the top priority. In the case of injuries, calling 911 ensures that medical help arrives quickly and that the incident is documented by emergency responders. If the vehicles are drivable, they should be moved to a safe shoulder or turnout, and hazard lights should be activated to avoid further accidents.

Drivers are advised to gather essential information at the scene:

    • Photos of all vehicle damage and the overall crash site
    • Contact and insurance information from all involved drivers
    • Statements or contact info from any witnesses nearby
    • Quick documentation, while details are still fresh, can be crucial when dealing with insurance adjusters or legal follow-ups later.

The Role of Medical Evaluation and Police Reports

Some injuries may not be immediately apparent. Symptoms such as whiplash, muscle strain, or even head trauma may take hours or days to surface. A medical evaluation within 24 to 48 hours is recommended even if the driver feels fine at first.

Filing a police report is also important. Whether through the Burbank Police Department or the California Highway Patrol, this report serves as a neutral record of the incident and may become essential in resolving disputes or proving fault in a personal injury claim.

    Common Accident Locations in Burbank

Local data shows that accidents often occur in specific high-traffic zones:

    • The I-5 Southbound exit at Burbank Boulevard
    • The interchange between the 134 and I-5
    • Intersections along Olive Avenue, Victory Boulevard, and Magnolia Boulevard

These areas are known for congestion, lane changes, and frequent merging, all of which increase collision risks. Legal teams familiar with these routes are often better equipped to understand context, gather evidence, and advise on next steps.

How an Attorney Can Help After an Accident

For those who suffer injuries, missed work, or property damage, the legal process can feel complex. A local attorney with experience in Burbank traffic patterns and California injury law can make a meaningful difference. Support may include:

    • Assistance with insurance company negotiations
    • Guidance on medical bill reimbursement
    • Claims for lost wages or reduced earning capacity
    • Documentation to support claims under California’s personal injury laws

Timing also matters. California’s statute of limitations for filing a personal injury claim is generally two years from the date of the accident. Taking early action ensures that critical evidence is preserved.

  • City of Burbank Launches Planning for Prospective New Central Library and Public Plaza

    [ad_1]

The City of Burbank is excited to announce the launch of the planning and design process for a prospective new Burbank Central Library and Public Plaza, a project that could create a vibrant public hub in the heart of downtown. The concept envisions replacing the current 60-year-old Central Library building with a modern facility designed to better support education, workforce development, technology training, social services, and access to information and culture.

“This project is vital to Burbank’s future,” said Mayor Nikki Perez. “As a child I witnessed the construction of the current Buena Vista Branch Library and as an adolescent I reaped the benefits of a new and improved library and park. I want the same for all the children and families who utilize our Central Library. All of us are eager to hear from residents and work together to refine this vision so that it truly reflects the needs and aspirations of our community.”

The City has received a $9.95 million grant from the California State Library to support the exploration and development of a potential new Central Library and Public Plaza. These funds will help advance planning for features that prioritize sustainability. In addition to this grant, the City is exploring a range of potential funding options to support additional project costs.

The proposed project reimagines a state-of-the-art library alongside a dynamic public plaza, creating a welcoming space where community members can gather, learn, and connect. As planning progresses, community feedback will play a central role in shaping what this future space might become.

“Libraries are at the heart of thriving communities,” said Eric Lashley, Library Services Director. “For decades, Central Library has served generations of Burbank residents. This process gives us the chance to reimagine what a library and plaza could look like for the next 60 years—an inclusive, flexible, and inspiring space that meets our community’s evolving needs.”

    Community Engagement Opportunities

Beginning in October 2025, the City will host a series of Community Workshops to gather input on priorities, ideas, and desired amenities for the future Central Library and Public Plaza.

The first Community Workshop will take place on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the current Burbank Central Library (110 N. Glenoaks Blvd., Burbank). From 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, community members are invited to learn more about the project and share their ideas through interactive activities. Library staff will also lead tours of the existing building, giving participants a firsthand look at the current space and the opportunities for transformation. If you’d like to join a tour, please RSVP here.

Additional pop-up events and community meetings will be held at locations throughout the fall and winter. Residents can also share input online if they are unable to attend in person.

Project Timeline and How to Stay Involved

Planning and community engagement will continue through 2026. To learn more about upcoming engagement opportunities, share your feedback, or sign up for project updates, visit NewBurbankLibrary.com.

In June 2025, a residential burglary in the 700 block of East Orange Grove Avenue set off a months-long investigation that has now led to multiple arrests and the recovery of evidence linking several suspects to a string of break-ins across Los Angeles County.

According to Lt. Brent Fekety of the Burbank Police Department, detectives “immediately launched an investigation after the initial burglary, reviewing surveillance video and utilizing investigative technology to identify a possible suspect vehicle.”

As the investigation unfolded, a similar residential burglary occurred in the City of Monterey Park. Surveillance footage from that incident revealed the same vehicle had been used in both the Burbank and Monterey Park crimes.

On October 2, 2025, Burbank Police detectives, working closely with the Monterey Park Police Department, located the suspect vehicle traveling through Monterey Park. Detectives kept the suspects under surveillance and watched as they approached a residence and committed another burglary. “When the suspects attempted to flee, they were quickly detained by detectives,” Lt. Fekety said.

The suspects were identified as 27-year-old Daniel Gamba Rodriguez, 25-year-old Jorge Andres Ayala Morales, 21-year-old Miguel Ubate Ayala, and 28-year-old Daniel Felipe Sastre Mesa, all residents of Los Angeles.

A week later, on October 9, 2025, Burbank Police and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department served a search warrant at a residence in the 600 block of North Figueroa Street in Los Angeles. The warrant was connected to the June burglary in Burbank and another in Chino Hills.

“During the execution of the search warrant, investigators located evidence linking the suspects to multiple residential burglaries throughout Los Angeles County, including the one in Burbank,” Lt. Fekety stated.

Four individuals were arrested at the residence and identified as 25-year-old Jorge Andres Ayala Morales, 21-year-old Miguel Ubate Ayala, 21-year-old Natalia Lorena Ramirez Lopez, and 23-year-old Angelica Ramirez Hoyos, all residents of Los Angeles. Each was booked for Penal Code 459 – Residential Burglary, a felony.

Lt. Fekety expressed gratitude for the collaboration between agencies, noting, “The Burbank Police Department extends its appreciation to the Monterey Park Police Department and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department for their partnership and assistance in bringing these suspects into custody.”

  • Letter to the Editor: Resident Decries Ill-Suited City Council

    [ad_1]

    Letter to the Editor:

Via The Burbank Channel, people all over the world can see our City’s elected governing panel. And, what an uncool collection of human dalliers they are seen to  be when they appear improperly dressed for the official occasion of their Tuesday meetings! Perhaps there is an attention-commanding solution: lime-yellow electronicized uniforms a la Star Trek! (School students and jail inmates wear uniforms, so why not all members of the City Council, possibly displayed on TV monitors worldwide?)

Since we live in the 21st Century, citizen commanders ought to be dressed to identify the organization they represent. Those Star Trek leaders wore simple, non-electronicized, clothes designed by Andre Courreges, Paco Rebane and Pierre Cardin. The principle of the outer space-suit might apply, meaning that Council Uniforms could perform novel tasks of revealing to voters some aspects of the Members personality, such as if they are lying whilst addressing worried and harassed taxpayers via a publicly-funded broadcasting system named The Burbank Channel.

Since Burbankers don’t yet possess Wonder Woman’s “Lasso of Truth”, sociologist Robert King Merton’s “Introspectometer” or novelist James Halperin’s postulated (and supposed available by AD 2024) “The Truth Machine” we could look backwards to circa December 1966. It was then, in an unsigned Note penned for the HARVARD LAW JOURNAL (Vol. 80, No. 2, pages 403-421) that a proposal was summarized at length for “Anthropotelemetry: Dr. Schwitzgebel’s Machine”. In effect, Dr. Ralph Kirkland Schwitzgebel (1934-2015) proposed suitings for the institution of the perfect 21st Century politician!

Imagine a scenario unfolding soon in Burbank, before at least an audience of Burbankers, where all our Star Trek-outfitted City Council Members were constantly electronically monitored–like hospital patients–by identical electronics-laced clothing. Such total environmental City Hall garb, with all read-outs displayed simultaneously beside their TV visage, subjected the voters and others to real-time visual scrutiny of such important elected local authorities!

There could arrive soon, then, a new voter-judged Age of Performance Preferability through detection and AI announcements of lies. Since people usually refrain from accusations due to legal backlash fears of false accusations as well as sheer self-indulgent politeness, the monitored Burbank City Council Members will have to explain why the AI supervisor’s readout is incorrect. Such additional testimony could, therefore, substantiate or disprove the AI Star Trek uniform monitoring AI machine’s preliminary assessment of the Council Member’s actual truth/falsehood condition.
