More than 100,000 college football fans at Bryant-Denny Stadium welcomed former President Donald Trump with chants and cheers as he appeared in Tuscaloosa for the highly anticipated matchup between Alabama and Georgia.Trump, joined by notable faces like Kid Rock and John Daly, as well as Alabama Sens. Nothing was shut down.”The security lines were shoulder-to-shoulder for the entire two-and-a-half hours before kickoff because of the extra security measures in place for Trump’s visit. Not everyone was excited to see the presidential candidate on campus.”How does it make us feel? How would Georgia winning make us feel? It’s probably the better question to ask because it’s a similar feeling,” Braden Vick said. “A lot of disappointment, a lot of bitterness on our end because this is one of the biggest games in the year, and he has this attention. He has to try and make it his own glorified campaign rally.”Vick is the president of the UA College Democrats. The group hosted an anti-Trump tailgate ahead of the game.
