Matthew Perry seemed to be enjoying a day out with a friend exactly one week before he died — leaving a West L.A. eatery in a scene that turns out to be the last time he’d be seen in public.
On October 21, the “Friends” star was walking out of the Apple Pan — a popular West L.A. spot for burgers, sandwiches and pies. He appeared to be leaving with a male friend who was carrying a takeout bag.
Matthew was growing a little goatee … a different look from the clean-cut guy millions of “Friends” fans knew and loved, but all in all the guy seemed to be doing well.
Prior to that, MP was seen on October 3, as he left a workout in Los Angeles.
TMZ broke the story … Matthew’s assistant found him unresponsive Saturday morning at his home, just a couple hours after he’d completed a 2-hour match of pickleball. Our sources say he was found in a hot tub, and there were no drugs found at the scene.
It certainly seems like Matthew enjoyed soaking in the tub. It’s an eerie image now, but just 6 days ago — in what would be his final IG post — he posted a nighttime shot from the hot tub, and included the caption, “Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I’m Mattman.”
Clearly, that sense of humor his fans loved and came to expect from the beloved 54-year-old actor was still intact.

Travis Kelce has Taylor Swift on the brain whether he’s with her or not — ’cause the dude’s out here singing her songs in public … even though she’s nowhere to be seen herself.
The Chiefs tight end was out in Arlington, TX Friday — where he swung by Globe Life Field to catch Game 1 of the World Series between the Rangers and the D-backs … and where he ended up getting caught on camera indulging in his girlfriends catchy tunes.

First, fans noticed TK crooning and dancing along to ‘Shake It Off’ … which was played during the game. Travis’ bouncing around was actually shown on the jumbotron, and he didn’t shy away from lip-syncing — bobbing his head and getting a little hand action in too.
Later in the evening … there was another opportunity to belt out some TayTay, and he did.
Check it out for yourself — the dude was singing his heart out to one of her most well-known songs, ‘Love Story,’ and he was even seemingly recording himself while doing it. That, or he was on the phone with someone … possibly even Taylor. 👀
In any case … the timing of this great for a couple reasons. For one, it shows that he’s all in on Taylor and supports her even when she ain’t looking. Of course, the bigger deal here is the fact that Taylor just re-released her ‘1989’ album … and needs all the pub she can get.
Looks like Travis is solid boyfriend material in both capacities — and funny enough, he’s got a similar cheering style as she does when up in the stands.
It’s a match made in heaven, y’all.

Cheryl Hines says The White House can no longer avoid husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr.‘s need for Secret Service protection … not in the wake of 2 scary incidents at their home.
The actress and comedian joined us on “TMZ Live” Friday and told us she had a front-row seat to the intruder who attempted to get inside their home, not once but twice.
Cheryl says she was on Instagram Live at the family’s Brentwood estate Wednesday morning when she looked out the window and noticed a strange man in the yard, being apprehended by security.
For Cheryl, it was an alarming moment hitting way too close to home … and we don’t just mean the fact it happened at their home. There’s another dimension to this — the Kennedy’s tragic family history.
Robert was only 9 years old when his uncle, President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated in Dallas in 1963, and then just 5 years later his father, Robert F. Kennedy, was shot and killed in L.A. while running for President.
Cheryl says the home intruder underscores the need for RFK Jr. to have Secret Service protection and not just private security watching his back as he runs as an Independent in the 2024 Presidential Election.
She says they’ve tried to get President Joe Biden‘s Department of Homeland Security to authorize Secret Service protection for RFK Jr. but have been denied … which she finds very puzzling.
DHS’ explanation for rejecting the request, at that time, was RFK Jr. wasn’t polling high enough — at least 15 percent — to warrant protection, but the most recent poll shows him pulling 19% in a 3-way race with Biden and Trump.
She’s hoping Biden reconsiders and seems to think The White House may be denying RFK Jr. protection because of the very real chance he’ll be a big factor in the outcome next year.
If that’s the case, Cheryl says the White House can’t ignore this latest incident … which we first reported.
It’s a powerful conversation … and it’s interesting to see how Cheryl is so careful with her words when talking about RFK Jr.’s fight for Secret Service protection.

Inflation accelerated in September but consumer spending was even stronger than expected, according to a Commerce Department report Friday.
The core personal consumption expenditures price index, which the Federal Reserve uses as a key measure of inflation, increased 0.3% for the month, in line with the Dow Jones estimate and above the 0.1% level for August.
Even with the pickup in prices, personal spending kept up and then some, rising 0.7%, which was better than the 0.5% forecast. Personal income rose 0.3%, one-tenth of a percentage point below the estimate.
Including volatile food and energy prices, the PCE index increased 0.4%. On a year-over-year basis, core PCE increased 3.7%, one-tenth lower than August, while headline PCE was up 3.4%, the same as the prior month.
The Fed focuses more on core inflation on the belief that it provides a better snapshot of where prices are headed over the longer term. Core PCE peaked around 5.6% in early 2022 and has been on a mostly downward trek since then, though it is still well above the Fed’s 2% annual target. The Fed prefers PCE as its inflation measure as it takes into account changing consumer behavior such as substituting lower-priced goods as prices increase.
Markets mostly shrugged off the report, with stock market futures pointing slightly higher and Treasury yields mixed across the curve.
“Although consumer prices rose faster than expected from a month ago, core inflation continues to lose speed and this report will not likely change the Fed’s view that inflation will slow in the coming months as demand slows,” said Jeffrey Roach, chief economist at LPL Financial. “Eventually, spending will moderate after several months of consumers spending more than they earn.”
This is the last inflation report the Fed will see before its two-day policy meeting next week. Traders are pricing in a near-100% chance that the central bank will announce no rate hike when the meeting concludes Wednesday, according to the CME Group.
