  • I Didn’t Take Off This Tarnish-Proof Jewelry For Weeks — Even To Shower

I Didn’t Take Off This Tarnish-Proof Jewelry For Weeks — Even To Shower

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely hate having to take off jewelry to shower. It’s another step in my routine and in this economy, who has the time? That’s why I was eager to test out some of Pearlory’s affordable, tarnish-free, and waterproof jewelry. I hadn’t heard of the brand before, but am very happy that I’ve been introduced to it after having worn it for a couple of weeks straight now.

Designed for durability — and specifically to weather wear and tear from the summer sun, sand, and sea — Pearlory offers a range of jewelry produced using medical-grade stainless steel (which provides hypoallergenic benefits) and thick Physical Vapor Deposition gold plating (known for its tarnish- and rust-resistance). And with a name like Pearlory, of course there’s also pearl jewelry to peruse and enjoy (like the natural pearl necklace I got to try).

Like I said, I was initially eager to wear the pieces and test their durability in the shower and during sweaty workouts without knowing much about the brand. And now, having tried it, I’m eager to stock up on more pieces for myself and for holiday gifting because the brand’s Black Friday Sale just commenced, offering 25% off sitewide from now through November 30. That means that the already-affordable jewelry all comes in under $25 right now (hello, under-$50 luxury gifts!). Plus, if you spend $100, you get a free gift at checkout from select offerings, so it’s real can’t-miss deal.

Read on for my honest review of how well Pearlory jewelry lasted for me after wearing it for two weeks straight without taking it off at all.

  • I’m Giving My Gold Jewelry a (Brief) Break and Trying These Chic Silver Pieces

I’m Giving My Gold Jewelry a (Brief) Break and Trying These Chic Silver Pieces

Gold jewelry is a huge part of my daily outfits—there’s barely a day that goes by when I’m not wearing some form of small or chunky gold hoops, or my much-loved Maje zodiac gold pendant necklace. But this season, all I’m seeing and loving is silver. In particular, bold chunky silver pieces—think statement silver cuff bracelets and ‘80s inspired earrings—that were a huge trend on the F/W 23 runways. The luxe-looking metal adds elegance and an of-the-moment touch to any outfit. This season I’m all about styling it with a pop of fiery red (fall/winter’s biggest color trend) as well as with a tonal head-to-toe gray outfit, which allows the classy color to pop.

If you’re looking to give silver jewelry a try this season or simply want to expand on your current silver-earrings repertoire, then you can do no wrong with one of these chic and trend-forward pieces below. From statement studs to chain necklaces, this line up may just make you want to give your gold jewelry a well-deserved break this cold-weather season.

  • Find The Timeless Pearl Jewelry To Collect & Cherish For Years To Come

Find The Timeless Pearl Jewelry To Collect & Cherish For Years To Come

My love of pearls comes from my grandmother. Growing up, I fondly remember sifting through her Korean jade jewelry box, styling her rings, necklaces, and a rainbow of brooches. The things that always caught my eye, however, were her pearl rings, bracelets, and necklaces. Seeing my soft-spoken grandmother quietly sit in the front row of the church pew on Sunday with her pearl jewelry set was captivating and would leave little me in awe.

  • Taylor Swift Wore the Most Romantic Piece of Jewelry For Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift Wore the Most Romantic Piece of Jewelry For Travis Kelce

Swifties may be stringing friendship bracelets with the names of their favorite songs to wear to Eras concerts, but for Taylor Swift herself, a break from her world tour means a change in the beads she’s sporting on her wrist. Shifting from the track list, Swift attended boyfriend Travis Kelce‘s game on Sunday Oct. 22 rocking the number “87” on her stretch-bracelet, aka the tight end’s football jersey number. Unsurprisingly, this style moment also comes with a lot more Kansas City Chiefs gear.

The 33-year-old musician played up her team spirit in a red vintage sweatshirt from Ellie Mae Studios, a pleated black skater skirt, Reformation Lolita platform loafers, and ankle socks. Though she also piled on plenty of other everyday gold jewelry, including a Cartier Juste un Clou necklace, stacking rings, and bracelets from FoundRae and Jacquie Aiche, they didn’t distract from the number stamped onto her friendship bracelet, bounded by two red hearts. Swift’s signature red lip, gold-dusted burgundy manicure, and rosy eyeshadow all complemented the color palette, and her famous bronde locks were left down straight, drawing attention to her bangs. She also employed thick cat-eye liner, which was noticeable in photos taken of the suite where she cheered on her beau with friend Brittany Mahomes.

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to zoom in on Swift’s wrist, leading them to speculate whether or not she made the bracelet herself or, perhaps, if Kelce had a hand in stringing the statement piece, as he memorably revealed that he wanted to gift her a bracelet with his number on it on a July 26 episode of the “New Heights” podcast that he hosts with his brother Jason of the Philadelphia Eagles. No matter who crafted the bracelet, it’s been made abundantly clear that Swift is dedicating much of her time to her relationship with Kelce. For the star to nod to the man she’s dating with an accessory that quite literally symbolizes her fandom and their devotion, she’s making it known — she’s serious about this one. Of course, we can always leave it to Swift to send a meaningful message with her outfits.

  • Tennis Bracelets Double in Value Over Time—29 Styles to Consider Investing In

Tennis Bracelets Double in Value Over Time—29 Styles to Consider Investing In

Tennis bracelets have earned a timeless reputation in my book. Not only because they’re an elegant purchase that makes for the perfect gift but also because of their remarkable ability to appreciate in value over time. These exquisite pieces, known for being made up of a dazzling collection of diamonds or gemstones, have become more than just a fashion statement; they are also coveted investments.

The allure of tennis bracelets has never been stronger, and savvy collectors are turning to this piece of diamond jewelry simply because of its ability to increase in value over the years. I spoke to the CEO of Ring Concierge, Nicole Wegman, who told me, “Historically, natural diamond prices over time have consistently increased, and all our tennis products are made with 100% natural diamonds, which makes them a great investment. They’re also a classic style, which makes them a great piece to hand down from generation to generation.” Whether you are a seasoned collector or a newcomer to the world of fine jewelry, tennis bracelets can be your key to adorning yourself with exquisite beauty and watching your investment flourish.

  • Sophie Turner Throws Shade at Joe Jonas With Her Friendship Bracelet, and I’m Inspired

Sophie Turner Throws Shade at Joe Jonas With Her Friendship Bracelet, and I’m Inspired

As if celebrity breakups aren’t chaotic enough, Sophie Turner has made a pointed statement with the most unexpected fashion accessory amid her impending divorce from Joe Jonas. On Oct. 8, in a now-expired Instagram Story, the “Game of Thrones” actress showed the world her strong allegiance to superstar best friend Taylor Swift with a picture of a friendship bracelet that read “Fearless.” In this case, the word is far from a mere adjective, but also the name of Swift’s 2008 album and the cult-favorite song that discusses the ideal “best first date,” which is the total opposite of Turner’s situation and perhaps a presumptuous tactic to add fuel to an already-blazing fire.

It’s quite the statement to turn the idea of a friendship bracelet on its head.

Friendship bracelets, no longer a thing of the past, have made a comeback, thanks to Swift, with a slight departure from their intended meaning. Initially used as a symbol to honor the time, energy, and love put into a beautiful relationship, Swifties have rocked the nostalgic piece to chronicle moments at Swift’s successful Eras tour, and fans of Beyoncé and the Jonas Brothers have followed suit. Meanwhile, Turner used the accessory to quietly shade her soon-to-be ex, not just on this occasion, but even at a Jonas Brothers concert in August, where she sported a bracelet that read “Mr. Perfectly Fine,” another one of Swift’s signature breakup anthems allegedly about Jonas.

It seems that since the divorce, the “Speak Now” artist and the actress have grown increasingly close, with their friendship having started in 2019, ironically around the time that Jonas and Turner got married. And since news broke of the couple’s split in September, the actor has reportedly been living in Swift’s New York City apartment with her two daughters, according to ET. Swift and Turner have also embarked on many dinner dates in casual ensembles, including Turner’s Jake Shane TikTok sweatshirt and Swift’s Reformation knit dress and boots combination.

While Swift and Turner appear to stay positive when photographed, considering the circumstances, it’s quite the statement to turn the idea of a friendship bracelet on its head, as Turner so candidly did with her post — don’t you think?

  • Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Have Inspired a Friendship Bracelet-Craze

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Have Inspired a Friendship Bracelet-Craze

As POPSUGAR editors, we independently select and write about stuff we love and think you’ll like too. If you buy a product we have recommended, we may receive affiliate commission, which in turn supports our work.

Never in my wildest dreams did I anticipate friendship bracelets would become a staple phrase within my adult vernacular — and yet here we are, in 2023, with everyone from adults to tweens (and yes, even pro NFL athletes like Travis Kelce), gushing over and trading the beaded accessory. Basic-girl fall? Sunday football games? What can’t Taylor Swift make exciting again?

ICYMI: ever since Swift’s highly successful Eras Tour kicked off earlier this year, the pop star’s legion of fans (widely known as Swifties) have attempted to enrich their concert-going experience via the exchange of friendship bracelets with other attendees at the show. Videos of Swifties tossing bracelets to the musician on her way out of the venue and passing handmade styles onto their favorite celebrities have flooded my social media feed for the better part of this year, though it seems the accessory’s popularity doesn’t necessarily stop with Swift.

Fans of Beyoncé and even the Jonas Brothers have been documented exchanging friendship bracelets with one another at a number of concerts. And the internet is still ablaze after Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce attempted (read: maybe succeeded?) to give Swift a handmade friendship bracelet with his phone number on it — and then proceeded to trade the Y2K jewelry essential with other NFL players at a training camp over the summer.

The underlying theme in all of this is that the nostalgic accessory (which became popular in the United States back in the ’70s and quickly evolved into a tween fixture throughout the early aughts ) has worked its way back into mainstream fashion in a big way — creating more camaraderie among fans and even causing bead-shortages along the way (as reported by Seattle’s King5 news station when Swift brought her tour to the city).

Whether you’re looking for a unique way to tap into the friendship bracelet trend or are simply planning on attending an upcoming concert, we’ve rounded up the best friendship bracelet kits that you can shop online. Our favorite selects come from retailers like Amazon, Etsy, and more. So, take a page out of Taylor Swift’s book, make the friendship bracelets, and get ready to sport 2023’s hottest accessory trend.

Brilliant Earth Teamed Up With the Jewelry Brand L.A. Fashion People Love

We talk about French style a lot at Who What Wear, often referring to Paris as the ultimate mecca for style. But, while the French capital is full of fashionable locals, it isn’t the only place we look to for inspiration. Much closer to home and brimming with chic brands and inhabitants is Los Angeles, where every trip to Erewhon or Sunset Tower is met with a bevy of need-to-copy wardrobe items, with jewelry being potentially the most enviable category of all.

We were excited to hear Logan Hollowell, an L.A.-based fine-jewelry designer beloved by Rocky Barnes, Elsa Hosk, and even Meghan Markle, was teaming up with Brilliant Earth, one of the world’s largest and most respected ethically-scoured fine-jewelry dealers. The duo is releasing a capsule collection inspired by nature.

The 12-piece Secret Garden collection, which came out today, features all of the style points that those familiar with Hollowell’s work know and love, including bright-colored gemstones like pink sapphires and emeralds as well as spiritual and enchanted shapes and details, with all of the impeccable quality that Brilliant Earth has been known for since its creation in 2005. “The responsibly sourced lab diamonds, gemstones, and recycled precious metals featured in this collection highlight the wonder of nature and our shared reverence for the planet,” says Kathryn Money, Brilliant Earth’s SVP of Merchandising and Retail. “Both our brands are committed to quality, ethical sourcing, and creating truly beautiful pieces.”

  • These Under-$100 Jewelry Pieces Look Like They Came Straight Off the Runway

These Under-$100 Jewelry Pieces Look Like They Came Straight Off the Runway

My summer mantra has to be the bigger the earrings, the closer you are to fashion glory. Over the last few weeks, I’ve scrolled my favorite brands’ jewelry pages more and more before I hit the check-out button. Maybe it’s because of the viral Bottega Veneta drop earrings or the resurgence of oversize ’80s aesthetics, but I’ve been feeling the jewelry itch more and more this summer. With every outfit I wear, it feels like the earrings are never big enough, my fingers don’t have enough rings, and I could use an anklet or two.

While quiet luxury reigns supreme in our clothing, this summer, every accessory trend revolves around exotic opulence. While celebrities and influencers are wearing pieces that cost hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars, the reality is that some of the best jewelry comes directly from the time period—which means secondhand vendors, flea markets, and vintage bins are the way to go. If you’re the lucky few with an array of costume jewelry hand-me-downs: congratulations! But for the rest of us, I’ve compiled a list of my favorite on-trend statement jewelry that is the definition of chic without costing an arm and a leg. Below, scroll to discover 27 jaw-dropping jewelry finds that look like they came straight off the catwalk for under $100.

  • The ’80s-Inspired Jewelry Trend I’m Absolutely Fawning Over

The ’80s-Inspired Jewelry Trend I’m Absolutely Fawning Over

Designers have attempted to make ’80s fashion happen on countless occasions to no avail, or at least not to the level of success that both the ’90s and the early aughts have experienced in recent years. It wasn’t until last October—when Anthony Vaccarello’s spring/summer 2023 runway collection for Saint Laurent debuted—that the possibility of a revival with significant bearing began to gain traction. His fall collection gave the final push.

Strong shoulders, power suiting, and aviator jackets dominated the French label’s fall offering, sending viewers through the space-time continuum back to the era of Madonna music videos, Jane Fonda workouts, and Top Gun, the original. But of all the pieces displayed on the runway, the ones that truly solidified the return of ’80s fashion were the oversize oblong cuff bracelets that adorned nearly every model’s wrist at the show.

Ever since, it’s felt as if all of the chicest, most eye-catching outfits on my Instagram feed feature that one accessory—an ’80s-esque cuff bracelet or bangle in shiny gold or silver. Saint Laurent’s designs from spring are a common pick, but they’re certainly not the only ones finding success. Small jewelry brands such as Agmes and Alexis Bittar have introduced styles of their own, as have fast-fashion brands like Mango and Zara. Most iconic are the various versions of the Bone Cuff, designed by Elsa Peretti in the ’70s for Tiffany & Co., that have been returning in flux and experiencing a surge in popularity on secondhand designer retail sites like The RealReal.

Suffice it to say, all signs are pointing toward an ’80s revival of epic proportions, and the chicest way to get involved is with one of the 30 cuffs below.

28 Expensive-Looking Jewelry Items from Anthropologie I See a Viral Future For

When it comes to jewelry, there’s a big difference between fakes and the real thing. So, when you do find pieces that look and feel like designer without the three- to four-digit price tags that almost always come with, it’s no small feat. In fact, it’s a fairly major deal, one that requires swift and immediate action before the word gets out and every chance you had of getting in on the deal slips away.

As luck would have it, I stumbled upon a jewelry treasure trove of this exact magnitude while I was checking up on Anthropologie’s website a few days ago and haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Hidden among braided handbags and boho-chic apparel were every last one of the jewelry styles I’ve been scouring the internet for, searching for an affordably priced option that could get me the designer look without having to either majorly splurge or turn my ears and/or fingers green due to poor quality.

From Bottega Veneta-esque teardrop studs to wrist cuffs that give off serious Saint Laurent vibes, the 28 jewelry items from Anthropologie below are bound for viral fame. Secure yours before it’s too late.

  • I’m Growing My “Forever” Jewelry Collection—All The Pieces I’m Eyeing Now

I’m Growing My “Forever” Jewelry Collection—All The Pieces I’m Eyeing Now

Stepping into adulthood comes with a myriad of things: paying your own bills, establishing a 401k, and having your own insurance. On the fashion front, maturity can also translate via your wardrobe: As alluring as bottom-of-the-barrel prices might be, fast fashion will never quite match a piece made with care and the utmost quality. That’s precisely why for the upcoming year I’ve challenged myself to completely revamp my closet. My objective is to find pieces that I will wear year after year, and that will also continually bring me joy. It’s an ambitious project that will undoubtedly take time (after all I didn’t accumulate all of the junk in my closet in just one year), so I’m starting with my jewelry collection.

As it stands, the bulk of my collection falls into the “fashion jewelry” category—which is essentially glorified costume jewelry— and while fun for an event or for sporadic wear, tarnishing, and general wear and tear is inevitable. The few solid gold and gold-plated pieces I do own have outlasted all of my fashion jewelry twofold, so I’m putting the trendy stuff to rest in favor of timeless designs made with precious metals and materials. Since people tend to notice your jewelry first, it makes sense to splurge a little bit more here. However, jumping straight into the Cartier and Bulgari pool isn’t also completely necessary—it’s completely possible to find great pieces on a tighter budget.

If you too are interested in growing your “forever” jewelry collection, keep scrolling. Whether you have $100 or $10,000 I’ve included options at every price point.
