On the second Saturday, the film received a total Hindi occupancy of 24.04% in India. The movie saw more footfall in later shows, indicating a higher crowd response as the day progressed. Hindi occupancy for the Border 2 morning shows was 11.05%, which is a relatively low turnout. In many Indian cities, this tardy start is a typical Saturday occurrence. But as the day went on, occupancy increased dramatically, indicating more walk-ins and higher demand during peak hours.

    By the afternoon, Border 2 had a Hindi occupancy of 28.11% at theatres. This climb from the morning slot indicated an improvement in momentum. The evening shows did best, with 32.96% Hindi occupancy, indicating that urban and family audiences favoured later showtimes.

The film has collected Rs 121 crore on the first three days of its release. Due to the holiday of January 26, a huge crowd was seen in the theaters on the fourth day, which is Monday, due to which the film’s earnings are expected to be faster.

    According to early figures, Border 2 has earned around Rs. 4.37 crore by noon on the fourth day. These figures are still incomplete, and there is a possibility of a big jump after the evening and night shows. Trade experts believe that due to the Republic Day holiday, patriotic theme, and positive word of mouth, the film can make great collections on Monday. The number of audience in theatres is also increasing.

    Border 2 advance booking collection

    The advance booking of the film is also giving clear indications of it becoming a blockbuster. By 11pm on January 25, Border 2 had made an advance booking of around Rs 27.05 crore for just the fourth day. A total of 8.72 lakh tickets were sold across 15,800 shows. Big multiplex chains like PVR, INOX and Cinepolis saw huge demand for the film, with PVR leading the pack.

    The film has received a good response in Maharashtra and Delhi-NCR. In Maharashtra, advance booking of around Rs 6.47 crore was done from around 4,000 shows, while in Delhi-NCR, tickets worth around Rs 6.34 crore were already sold from 2,100 shows. With no big release in Bollywood at the moment, Border 2 is getting an open field at the box office, which it is getting the full benefit of.

    Will Border 2 pass the Monday test?

    All eyes are now on whether Border 2 will be able to break the post-COVID Monday record of Salman Khan’s Tiger 3. Tiger 3 had earned Rs 59.25 crore on Monday. Trade experts believe that Border may reach close to Rs 50 crore, which will make it among the biggest Monday grossers of the post-COVID era.

    On the second day, the film’s Hindi occupancy total was 41.58%. While the morning show saw 15.51 per cent viewership, the afternoon show saw 39.97 per cent viewership. The occupancy in the evening reached 49.13 per cent, while the night shows saw the highest audience of 61.70 per cent. It is clear that as the day progressed, the number of viewers also increased, and the film is likely to get more benefit on the weekend.

    Border 2 beats Dhurandhar

    On the other hand, the film Dhurandhar showed a 14.29% increase on the second day, but in terms of earnings, it lagged behind Border 2. Dhurandhar earned Rs 32 crore on the first Saturday. Despite this, Border 2 has become the biggest release of the year 2026 so far. However, the film could not break the record of the biggest opening on Republic Day. This record is still in the name of Shah Rukh Khan’s film Pathaan, which opened Rs 55 crore on Republic Day. However, Border 2 is expected to cross the Rs 100 crore mark by the end of the opening weekend.
