  • I Just Got Back from London—These Easy Pieces Are Absolutely Dominating

I Just Got Back from London—These Easy Pieces Are Absolutely Dominating

    [ad_1]

As you’ve likely heard me mention recently, Londoners are my current style crush. A recent jaunt across the pond reminded me just how great the sartorial inspo is all over town, whether you’re lined up outside the coolest bakery in Shoreditch or wandering the picture perfect streets of Notting Hill.

There are always those quintessentially British pieces, if that’s your cup of tea—classic trenches, wool blazers, tweed, plaid scarves, with an air of quiet luxury. Then, there are the micro-trends you can’t help but notice when you’re visiting a new city. From effortless accessories to easy cool, easy outerwear to really good boots, here’s everything the cool kids are wearing in London right now.

  • I’m a Fashion Editor, and I Will Always Stand By This On-Trend Shoe

I’m a Fashion Editor, and I Will Always Stand By This On-Trend Shoe

    [ad_1]

My version of a truly timeless shoe is the Ugg boot. As a millennial, I can say that I have lived through every era of the beloved, albeit controversial, boots. (Insert mental image of Y2K outfits here.)

I was a fan of the shoes as a preteen because they were on-trend, but as a fully fledged working adult, I appreciate both the comfort and the casual style so much more. They’ve become my go-to shoes simply because they are so easy to style with everything. And it seems I’m not the only one who thinks that, as endless Instagram Reels of people styling variations of Ugg boots have inundated my feed. This was all the convincing I needed to head over to Bloomingdale’s for my next pair. The moment I cast my eyes on the patterned mini boots, I knew they were coming home with me! I’m also intrigued by the platform boots—a new style introduced last year. Below, take a look at all the pairs that caught my eye.

  • Selena Gomez Wore Fall’s Most Anti-Quiet Luxury Boot Trend in Paris

Selena Gomez Wore Fall’s Most Anti-Quiet Luxury Boot Trend in Paris

    [ad_1]

When we look back at what defined fashion in 2023, it will undoubtedly be the quiet luxury aesthetic that has seemingly permeated every aspect of fashion. But as the end of the year nears, there are signs that people also just want to have fun with fashion. One person that’s been displaying that as of late is Selena Gomez.

Gomez is currently in Paris for Paris Fashion Week, and some of her looks have been far more “maximalist” than “quiet luxury”. While many of the fall 2023 shoe trends are understated and elegant (think riding boots and slingback flats), Gomez opted to wear the least quiet luxury shoe trend of them all to go to a restaurant last night. That trend is snakeskin boots. For context, Khaite can be credited with reviving the snakeskin trend with its python-studded S/S 23 collection. Ever since then, the fashion crowd has been enamored.

In Paris, Gomez wore a pair of thigh-high Stuart Weitzman boots, keeping the rest of the outfit simple with a white button-down and corset and denim miniskirt. It’s a look that’s easy to replicate with the right tools—the most important one being the snakeskin boots. Given that, scroll on to shop some of the best pairs on the internet.

How do I know this? Over the past few weeks, I’ve done a ton of trend research for the season ahead, poring over the fall/winter 2023 collections, studying what fashion-person celebs like Kendall Jenner and Olivia Rodrigo are wearing, and scanning my social media feeds to find out what people are talking about. In other words, I have a pretty good idea of what’s to come in fashion for fall, and I plan to shop accordingly.

Based on my findings, I’ve come to the conclusion that the 29 new fall boots you’re about to see below—from the designer moto style that will be the blueprint for all other trendy boots to the classic knee-high boots that will never go out of style—qualify as some of the buzziest stompers of the moment and the year at large. • 15 Thigh-High-Boot Outfits We’re Re-Creating

    15 Thigh-High-Boot Outfits We’re Re-Creating

    [ad_1]

Real talk: While thigh-high boots may be a fan favorite among designers, fashion girls, and women everywhere, they aren’t exactly the easiest to wear. Coming up with thigh-high-boot outfits can feel as taxing as slipping them off at the end of a long day. And while they may elicit step-on-me feelings, they’re not exactly the easiest boots to wear to get your steps in, if you catch my drift. But, as knee-high boots and over-the-knee boots have surged in popularity, it’s only a matter of time before thigh-high boots inch up even further.

If you experienced existential dread while reading that last sentence, take a deep breath—I’m about to prove to you that thigh-high boots actually aren’t that difficult to style. The best thigh-high-boot outfits of the moment are easier to replicate and wear than they were in previous seasons. You’ll just have to keep scrolling to see for yourself.

  • I Used to Hate This Boot Style, But These 21 Pairs Made Me Do a Total 180

I Used to Hate This Boot Style, But These 21 Pairs Made Me Do a Total 180

    [ad_1]

Normally, the first pair that comes to mind when I think of outdated shoe styles is a sock boot—period. Once utterly ubiquitous, the ultra-fitted silhouette was deemed “out” a few years back, and replaced by wider-leg knee-highs, cowboy boots, and anything with a lug sole attached. And yet, in recent weeks, I’ve found myself not only softening to sock boots again, but actually wanting a pair (or two) to add into my fall wardrobe. Shocking, I know.

From tall takes to classic ankle boots, the sock-boot offerings on the market right now are aplenty and dangerously tempting, and that’s coming from someone who six months ago would’ve likely scoffed at the idea of introducing a pair into my boot collection. But hey, there’s no need to blindly trust me. Instead, keep scrolling to make up your own mind about the second coming of sock boots. I have a feeling your opinion of them will do a 180 too.
