Today, Sameer Wankhede was at the Mumbai High Court. He has been told to make himself available for the CBI enquiry on May 22, 2023. The agency has alleged that the former NCB honcho demanded a bribe of Rs 25 crores to not frame Aryan Khan in the drugs bust. In fact, quite a few officers of the NCB are under the radar of the CBI. They have alleged that the lifestyle of Sameer Wankhede is not proportional to his income. He submitted a document in the Mumbai High Court that had details of Whatsapp chats allegedly between Shah Rukh Khan and Sameer Wankhede. Now, people who are discussing it on social media, especially Reddit feel that it is highly unlikely that Shah Rukh Khan would have contacted him directly. They feel he would not do it since it is not something his legal team would advise him to do. As we know, Shah Rukh Khan had hired the best legal team for his son, which included former additional solicitor general of India, Mukul Rastogi and Satish Maneshinde. The additional team also included Raiaan N Karanjawala from Delhi. People on Reddit feel why would Shah Rukh Khan directly text him. Some felt that he must have been desperate as a father. Many feel the messages look too dramatic to come out of the superstar. Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan spent close to 25 days at the Arthur Road Prison. Later, he was given a clean chit. It seems no possession of drugs was found on him. Politician Nawab Malik had also slammed the NCB as a corrupt organization. Shah Rukh Khan has been keeping a distance from the media since then.

‘Talent never keeps you hungry’: Actor Ayushmann Khurrana on his struggles in Bollywood

    [ad_1]

Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana discussed his book, struggles post the success of his movie ‘Vicky Donor’ in a session titled ‘Cracking The Action Hero Code’ on Day 1 of Sahitya Aaj Tak 2022.

While speaking at a session, he recalled about his struggles in Bollywood and said: “Agar apke paas talent hota hain toh aap apna raasta khud bana hi lete hain. Aur wahi hua. Dum Laga Ke Haisha se shuru hua tha wo. Pehli film ke baad industry ko pata nahi tha ki mere sath karna kya hain inhone ki Vicky Donor toh ho gaya ab aage kya karega ye. I am glad, the credit goes to the scriptwriters and the directors who’ve worked with me. It’s a very collaborative effort. Jab aapke paas talent hota hain, talent apko kabhi bhookha marne nahi deti. Phir maine music tab shuru kiya tha seriously lena. During Dum Laga Ke Haisha, I think Mitti Di Khushboo aaya tha. Then I did a lot of singles. I used to do band performances, concerts karta tha, birthday parties pe, shaadiyon pe. Toh I was like main kuch bhi kar lunga.”

He added that he had written the book called ‘Cracking The Code’ in 2014 as he claims to be jobless back then. “ This book can be a good guide for those who are planning to make it big in Mumbai.”

Ayushmann Khurrana said that he drew inspiration from Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit who he claims is his first ever love. “Nobody can beat Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi.”

On being an actor, he said, “ I always thought I am an unconventional actor and have to make different choices. Mujhe apna raasta banane ke liye kuch aisa hi chunna tha jo bhedchaal se alag ho aur duniya se alag ho. Tabhi maine ye genre choose kiya (alludes to Vicky Donor).”

Anek and Doctor G were Ayushmann Khurrana’s most recent films. He will next be seen in An Action Hero. For the first time, the actor has collaborated with Ananya Panday on Dream Girl 2.

  • Fans disappointed with Deepika Padukone’s ‘overpriced’ self-care brand 82E

Fans disappointed with Deepika Padukone’s ‘overpriced’ self-care brand 82E

    [ad_1]

Deepika Padukone launched “Ashwagandha Bounce” moisturiser and “Patchouli Glow” sunscreen on November 15, as the inaugural product line of her recently launched self-care brand 82°E.

Announcing the launch of her products, Deepika had revealed that she along with the brand team spent the last two years developing premium, high-performing skincare products that combine time-tested Indian ingredients with powerful scientific compounds. Deepika claimed the products are simple to use, efficacious and suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.

But the fans do not seem to be in total agreement. The actor’s fans took to social media to show disappointment towards the two products that have been launched so far. While some fans are criticising the expensive price tag, others are comparing the products with Katrina Kaif’s skincare brand Kay.

A Twitter user said that the two products are expensive and may be unaffordable to majority of the people. “Katrina did a better job. Not only her products are good but also affordable,” she tweeted.

Another Twitter user objected to how the products went live silently and without any prior announcement. “She announced it and there was no proper research done that went into the products. Even the names are bizarre.” She added that she personally uses Kay Beauty and loves the foundation for its perfect tone and affordability.

Some social media users even said that Deepika only endorses and associates herself with luxury products. “People know Deepika’s products have always been expensive. Tissot, LV, Cartier, Loreal, Nike now Adidas. She only affiliates herself to luxury items. She is high maintenance guys,” said another Twitter user.

A few fans also came out in support of Deepika and rooted for the 82°E brand products.

Deepika Padukone had explained the relevance behind her brand name as 82°E is the longitude that runs through India.

82°E’s inaugural products  “Ashwagandha Bounce” moisturiser and “Patchouli Glow” sunscreen are exclusively available on the official website 82e.com. The website has detailed information on each product usage and the ingredients. The products claim to be vegan friendly, cruelty free.

Ashwagandha Bounce moisturiser is lightweight, meant to restore skin elasticity and has sodium hyaluronate to provide long-lasting hydration. Patchouli Glow sunscreen has SPF 40, along with broad spectrum PA+++, which provides protection from the harmful radiation of the sun.

  • Varun Dhawan breaks down on stage remembering his late driver

Varun Dhawan breaks down on stage remembering his late driver

    [ad_1]

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan spoke at the India Today Mumbai Conclave 2022 on Day 1 in a session titled ‘Why versatility, content, and box office matter’. The actor discussed the lessons he learned during the Covid-19 pandemic. He also spoke about his upcoming film Bhediya. For the first time, Varun discussed his grief over the death of his friend and driver of 26 years, Manoj Sahu, who recently passed away because of a heart attack.

Varun Dhawan opened up and got emotional on stage remembering Manoj Sahu, who had been with him for 26 years.

“Someone who worked with me for 26 years of my life, Manoj, passed away. He thought he had Covid-19 and he recovered after a week. He had a heart attack and he passed away near me. It affected me mentally so badly. But being an actor, everyone told me to move on. But how do I move on? This person… 26 years of my life, whatever I am today, more than a director or producer, this man is the reason I am where I am. And it affected me so badly. It’s taken me a long time to find the courage to talk about this. But honestly, I am still dealing with it,” Varun Dhawan said.

While discussing the Covid-19, Varun Dhawan reiterated how the pandemic affected the lives of everyone. He went on to say that he believes everything has returned to normal after the pandemic, but it is nothing more than a rat race. “We are all running in the rat race again, and we don’t know why.”

Covid-19 pandemic forced him to rethink and introspect as he decided to slow down and that eventually influenced his film choices. “I had to shut down. I feel there is a greater purpose for which we all are here, and I am trying to find mine,” he continued.
