For the past decade, professional baddie Draya Michele has stunned as one of social media’s biggest obsessions so it’s only right that we celebrate her 41st birthday with a sun-kissed gallery of her hottest thirst traps on the gram.

Most recently, the model/entrepreneur continued her boo’d up era with 23-year-old Phoenix Suns star Jalen Green who cozied up with her on their sexy date night in Brooklyn, New York.

This comes a few months after her baller boo revealed a large back tattoo of Draya’s face while getting his hair braided. The portrait stretched across his upper back, making it one of the biggest personal statements he’s made about their relationship yet.

Naturally, the clip quickly went viral, with the tattoo immediately trending across social media.

Months earlier, Draya and Jalen gushed about their precious new bundle of joy with a post showing off their daughter and confirming her name, Lyght Green.

“Daddy’s girl,” Green wrote, tagging Burberry while twinning with his baby girl in a series of photos. In a complementary post, Draya confirmed the cutie’s name when she posted her on Instagram Stories: “My daughter @lyghtgreen says hello,” the model wrote.

Aww love, babies and basketball! We love to see it!

What’s your favorite Draya Michele moment? Tell us down below and enjoy our sun-kissed gallery of Draya’s hottest thirst traps on the flip.

  • Bob The Orangutan Turns 20 At Oregon Zoo, Celebrated As Devoted Dad – KXL

PORTLAND, OR – Bob the orangutan is marking a major milestone at the Oregon Zoo, turning 20 years old this week, and his care team says he’s grown into an exceptional ape — and an even more exceptional father.

The zoo will celebrate Bob’s birthday Saturday, January 24, with keeper chats at 11 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.

“Bob really is a special orangutan,” said Kate Gilmore, who oversees the zoo’s primate area. “When he came here, he was still pretty young, and his care team has watched him grow up. He’s become a great companion to Kitra and a great father to Jolene.”

Bob arrived at the Oregon Zoo in 2014 from South Carolina’s Greenville Zoo. A year later, he was joined by Kitra, who came from Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The moves followed recommendations from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ Species Survival Plan, a cooperative effort to maintain healthy, genetically diverse populations of threatened and endangered species.

Since arriving in Portland, Bob’s appearance has changed dramatically. As male orangutans mature, they develop large cheek pads known as flanges and grow long red beards. Gilmore said the flanges can signal dominance to other males and help attract females.

Keepers weren’t sure what to expect when Bob and Kitra welcomed their daughter, Jolene, in 2022. In the wild, orangutans do not usually live in family groups, and fathers are rarely involved in raising young.

“Bob really broke the mold,” Gilmore said. “He’s been great with Jolene — they are so sweet together.”

Bob met Jolene when she was just a week old, and the pair quickly formed a strong bond. Keepers often see them playing, sharing snacks and spending time together as a family.

Orangutans are critically endangered, largely due to habitat loss caused by logging and the conversion of forests into oil palm plantations. The animals also face threats from hunting and the illegal pet trade.

Since 2008, the Oregon Zoo has partnered with the conservation group Hutan to protect Bornean orangutans through reforestation, conflict reduction and community-based efforts. The zoo says visitors interested in helping orangutans can find small, everyday actions on its website that support conservation efforts.

  • Shelter dog finally gets adopted—and has the birthday he deserves

Hearts have melted at how a family celebrated their rescue dog’s first birthday with them.

Koba the Rottweiler was adopted by a new family less than a year ago, and it’s clear he’s been a huge hit, as they’ve since set up a TikTok account dedicated to his life with them.

The account, @kingkoba25, shows the family—who live in the United Kingdom—cuddling with the giant dog in bed, taking him for walks to the park, and exploring the countryside.

In one video, his new owners describe their pup as having “changed our lives”—and now a new video has seen Koba proving a hit with millions of online strangers.

Posted on November 11, it shows Koba marking his first birthday since coming into the care of his new owners. And they’ve gone all out for him, as multiple gift-wrapped presents litter the floor, Koba curiously sniffing at each one.

And though they encourage him to “rip” the wrapping paper off, the dog does it his own way: gently, and needing plenty of encouragement along the way.

    Loading tiktok content…

Finally, after ripping the paper off bit by bit, revealing layers of cardboard and more layers underneath, he opens his first present: a new ball. And he knows it’s for him, as he picks it up in his mouth and runs happily away, his tail wagging, before lying down beside his owners with the ball between his paws.

His adoring owners captioned the video: “His first birthday with us. Adopting him was the best decision we’ve ever made.”

TikTok users loved it, watching the video more than 2 million times and awarding it more than 420,000 likes, as one wrote: “I’m sorry how the hell did he know how to unwrap it? He was so gentle?”

Another admitted: “I could watch dogs opening presents all day, I think this is my new favorite pastime.”

And one moved commenter wrote: “The smile I needed, thank you. Extra thank you for adopting such a handsome boy and giving him a loving home.”

“He is so handsome,” another said. “A proper rottie head!”

Rottweilers are known to make good guard dogs due to their great strength, courage and loyalty. However, they are also described as being hugely affectionate towards their owners, with a playful and often silly nature, making them popular as pets, according to the American Kennel Club (AKC).

In 2024, Rottweilers were eighth in the AKC’s annual list of the most popular dog breeds in America, behind the French bulldog, Labrador retriever, golden retriever, German shepherd dog, poodle, dachshund and beagle.

Newsweek has contacted @kingkoba25 for comment on this story.

I’VE HAD MEMORIES FROM EUROPE AND MEMORIES FROM ALL OVER, BUT THE ONES THAT COME BACK TO ME MOST ARE THE LITTLE ISLAND. MCINTYRE ENLISTING INTO THE MARINES AT 16 YEARS OLD ON DECEMBER 1941. NOW, DECADES LATER, IT’S HIS COMMUNITY SERVING HIM. I REALLY AM SHOCKED THAT SO MANY PEOPLE WOULD TAKE THE TIME. THEY DON’T EVEN KNOW HIM TO STOP AND WISH HIM A HAPPY BIRTHDAY BECAUSE HE’S A MARINE, YOU KNOW? ONCE A MARINE, ALWAYS A MARINE. HIS STORY, MORE THAN JUST LONGEVITY, BUT LEGACY. AND WHILE REACHING 100 IS NO SMALL LIFE BATTLE, THE MILESTONE ISN’T JUST ABOUT LOOKING BACK, BUT INSPIRING THE NEXT GENERATION. IT MEANS A LOT TO ME BECAUSE MY PARENTS ARE FROM THE GREATEST GENERATION TOO, SO. AND HE’S SHARING HIS LIFE STORIES WITH US AND THE COMMUNITY. FOR HIM TO STILL STAY ENGAGED AND WANT TO SHARE IS REALLY, REALLY AWESOME. I’M THE LAST ONE TO BE GIVING PEOPLE ADVICE ABOUT ANYTHING. I’VE LED A. I’VE LED MY LIFE KIND OF THE WAY I WANTED TO. WITH THE BAGPIPES. LEADING THE WAY. HIS 100 YEARS REMIND US THAT A LIFE WELL LIVED. IS A MELODY WORTH HEARING. AND MCINTYRE RETIRED FROM THE MARINES WITH THE RANK OF GUNNERY SERGEANT. WHEN I ASKED HIM, WHAT’S THE SECRET TO LONGEVITY? BREATHE. SUCH A SIMPLE TASK

    • Crossbody bag, wristlet, or clutch with wrist strap — For a wild night out, you don’t want to be burdened by a heavy bag or one that’s difficult to carry. Go for a crossbody, wristlet, or clutch that attaches to you, so that you won’t lose your money and ID.

These will also encourage others to celebrate you while you’re out (i.e., buy you a drink).

Glam it up with some satin rhinestone ankle-strap pointed-toe pumps featuring rhinestone bows. Since the pumps have silver details, opt for silver jewelry that also has a girly coquette vibe, like these adorable silver bow earrings.

Bring the look together with some sparkly pink lip gloss, like Fenty Beauty’s Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Lumizer in a shimmering soft pink hue.

    2. Outfit #2 – Dressy Outfit

For your birthday you may be going somewhere fun that has a bit of a fancier dress code, or you just want to be a little “extra” and steal the spotlight. This 21st birthday outfit is going to help you do just that!

Go for the gold with this gold sequin fringe mini dress that was made for dancing the night away. Its bands of swingy, sequin fringe will move with you throughout your special night, and its sparkly gold metallic color is guaranteed to attract attention.

Accessorize with equally glam and golden accessories like some gold teardrop earrings and a tennis bracelet with diamante details that looks expensive but is actually budget-friendly.

These gold strappy heeled sandals are fancy, but their stylish sculptural heel actually provides some stability compared to stilettos, making them a smarter footwear choice.

Complete the ensemble with an ecru mini bag — this one has both a top handle and a chain crossbody strap, so that you won’t need to worry about misplacing it during your night out.

    3. Outfit #3 – Birthday Dinner Outfit

A lot of times people choose to go to a nice restaurant for dinner for their birthday. If this is what you are doing, you could consider wearing a cute two-piece set!

For example, this burgundy corset top and coordinating maxi skirt are made with satin fabric that makes them look dressy, and the burgundy hue is especially on-trend this season. You can also consider wearing a two-piece set with pants, or a full jumpsuit.

Add in trendy, eye-catching accessories like a leopard print mini handbag (with a crossbody strap, of course), large gold hoop earrings, and a corded necklace with a gold heart pendant.

Some clear nude mule heels will look seamless with this ensemble, plus they’ll match just about everything in your wardrobe, making them a worthwhile purchase.

    4. 21st Birthday Outfit #4 – Casual Outfit

Keeping things casual on your twenty-first? No worries! You can still look cute while being laid-back. (And even if you don’t have any major plans, you should still put yourself together on your birthday, because when you look good, you feel good.)

Try following the “jeans and a cute top” formula, except consider swapping your everyday jeans out for a denim mini skirt, instead. This looks slightly dressier, while still being casual.

On top, wear something that is a bit more elevated than a basic t-shirt or cami; for example, this floral print tank top with a coordinating neck tie, which is adorable but can be worn day or night.

As for shoes, go for some flat sandals or some cute yet comfy sneakers like Adidas Samba sneakers which come in a ton of different colors — this white and pink pair match the outfit perfectly.

Since this is still your special day, don’t forget to accessorize your ensemble with fun jewelry like these “mismatched” heart earrings and a metal chain belt for added shine.

    5. Outfit #5 – Going Out Outfit

Going out with friends for your 21st birthday is practically a right of passage! If you’re planning on hitting the town (clubs, bars, etc.), you’ll need a show-stopping look that’s going to turn heads, and a sparkly mini skirt is the answer!

A silver sequin mini skirt is a must-have for any extra special events like a concert or your birthday. Since it’s such a bold piece, wear it with something simple yet sleek on top, like a black one-shoulder bodysuit. This one features a silver metal buckle detail that ties in with the skirt’s silver metallic construction.

Make a statement with some black knee-high heeled boots (black heeled sandals or pumps would work, too) and matching silver jewelry, like some knotted earrings.

This chic mini handbag is ideal for a night out, featuring a matching silver handle, crossbody strap, plus “Brat” green for a pop of ultra-trendy color.

    6. Outfit #6 – Sign Night Outfit

Sign night, anyone? A popular thing college girls do for their 21st birthday is a sign night. This is a fun night out where your friends create a sign with a list of 21 things you have to do for your birthday, often involving outrageous tasks meant to create unforgettable memories.

Since this is your big night out, don’t be afraid to steal the spotlight with your outfit! A hot pink sequin mini dress is sure to garner attention (in a good way). It’s a dress fit for a birthday queen!

Speaking of queens, you’ll need a crown and a sash to let everyone else at the party or bar know that you’re celebrating, and this duo is an amazing (and affordable) option.

Be sure to accessorize with a few more sparkly pieces like some silver tassel dangle drop earrings and some silver ankle-strap heeled sandals with rhinestone embellishments for the perfect final touches.

  • Was my favorite teacher gay? Maybe a belly dancer could find out

Was my favorite teacher gay? Maybe a belly dancer could find out

    Dear Mr. H:

Raphael Simon here — Rafi, as you may remember me.

We last saw each other in 1982 at a magnet school in Los Angeles, where I was your student.

You were a terrific teacher, Mr. H — smart, witty, occasionally tough, with a genuine enthusiasm for the subjects you taught. But I am not writing to thank you for what I learned in your class; this isn’t one of those letters. Nor am I writing to accuse you of anything; this isn’t one of those letters either.

    I am writing to apologize.

Like most apologies, this one is purely performative. It changes nothing. Nonetheless, I feel compelled to confess.

    The belly dancer? My bad.

I found her. I hired her. I was responsible for the whole thing, except the belly dancing itself.

You do remember the belly dancer, don’t you? Let me back up.

When I was in ninth grade, I took your hybrid history and English class called Research Writing, in which we learned such things as how to use card catalogs, document sources and format footnotes — once-vital skills now lost to time and ChatGPT.

For my first paper, I chose to write about the Black Hole of Calcutta, only to discover that the name had nothing to do with astronomical black holes, much less the all-nude musical “Oh! Calcutta!” For my historical fiction project, I wrote a mystery story about Napoleon’s exile on Elba — a subject I picked mainly because Napoleons were a type of pastry I loved.

To state the obvious, nothing we covered in your class justified having a half-naked woman dance around our desks.

You were in your 30s. Slim, fair-skinned, wavy brown hair. Casually preppy.

I was 14, pimply, bookish. A typical if slightly effeminate adolescent Jewish boy, California version. I was also, at the time, just beginning to suspect something about myself, or just beginning to begin to suspect.

In any case, I liked you. All your students liked you. Research Writing was an honors class. We sat in a circle rather than in rows. Naturally, we wanted to celebrate your birthday. A birthday surprise — that was the pretext I sold my classmates on.

Why a belly dancer and not, say, a birthday cake?

For one thing, belly dancing played a larger role in my imagination than you might expect. This was mostly due to my grandmother Esther, who had an enduring fascination with belly dancers. She would describe the way they moved their tummies as if by magic with muscles unknown to the rest of us. A powerful female force, sexy and not subservient.

I first saw live belly dancers at my favorite restaurant, Moun of Tunis, on Sunset, where diners sat on low banquettes and ate off brass tables. At hourly intervals, music would start to play and women in their sequins and silks would emerge from behind a curtain to shimmy and shake their way across the room — heaven.

It was from Moun of Tunis that I got the name of your dancer. Funny to think what a difficult task that must have been. I would have had to consult the Yellow Pages, or more likely, call Information — something my parents frowned upon because of the toll. When I phoned the restaurant, I would have had to speak to a live human and explain what I wanted. All this before cold-calling a belly dancer.

On your birthday, I remember being nervous, uncertain that she would come. I jumped up when I heard the knock on the door.

Our classroom was in a bungalow, and she was standing on the stoop, dyed black hair, bright red lipstick, a trench coat covering her costume and a boombox under her arm.

I’d been so excited; now, too late, I was overcome by doubt. I ushered her into the room. My classmates giggled. I pointed to you. “There’s the birthday boy.”

Without a word, she put on her music, unbuttoned her coat and began to whirl.

The dance is hazy in my mind, a blur of translucent black veils and long silvery scarves.

She circled the room, then circled you, then the room again — sexy but never too sexy.

While the rest of the class hooted and hollered, I watched your expressions. Your face paled, then reddened, then paled again. It showed a flash, but no more than a flash, of anger, and intense embarrassment, and eventually, polite patience and forced good humor.

Of course, it was precisely to read your reactions that I’d arranged the surprise. And that’s the real reason for this apology.

Your possible gayness had been a subject of debate among your students, not in a malicious way, more in a fun if gossipy way. Then a month or two before your birthday, you came close to speaking our speculations aloud.

I don’t remember the context. Perhaps we were talking about Anita Bryant or some other anti-gay crusader. Or, closer to home, the Briggs Initiative, which had almost succeeded in banning gays and lesbians from teaching in California a few years earlier.

I only remember the phrase you used at one point: “my gay friends and my straight friends.” As though they were equal categories. As though friends — anyone — might as easily be gay as straight.

As though you, our teacher, might be.

In 1982, the idea of an openly gay teacher was controversial in a way that is hard to fathom in California today — or in parts of California today. (The attempt to ban LGBTQ+ books and squelch LGBTQ+ speech has recently spread to such nearby locales as Glendale and Huntington Beach.) For you to suggest you might be gay, however ambiguously, must have taken tremendous courage.

And I rewarded your courage by bullying you, with a belly dancer.

A test, I’d called it, when I pitched the idea to my classmates. What was I expecting? Were you supposed to pant like a horny cartoon character if you were straight? And if you were gay, what then? Turn green?

Whether or not the word “test” entered your mind, judging from your reactions, you sensed that your sexuality was being challenged. I am so sorry. The premise of the stunt was as offensive as it was absurd.

I wasn’t brave enough to claim credit, but I suspect that you suspected. In my memory, a knowing look or two passed between us. Perhaps you understood what I did not: that in testing you for signs of homosexuality, I was trying to inoculate myself against the same condition.

When the belly dancer finished dancing, you applauded, very much as if you’d enjoyed yourself. You thanked us for your birthday surprise, even though we all knew it had been more birthday prank than birthday present.

So I guess this is a thank-you letter, after all. Thank you for being more forgiving than furious. Thank you for not interrogating too closely who hired the belly dancer, or why.

And most of all, thank you for instilling in your students the idea that gay might be OK, even if it would take this gay student several more years to absorb that simple lesson.

    Sincerely, Rafi

Raphael Simon is better known as children’s author Pseudonymous Bosch. He and his husband live in Pasadena with their two daughters. Mr. H, as it turns out, does remember the belly dancer. He and his husband just celebrated 30 years together.

Megan Fox By Machine Gun Kelly’s Side For 34th Birthday Party Despite Relationship Problems – See The Pics!  – Perez Hilton

Machine Gun Kelly celebrated another trip around the sun in style… and with a special guest!

The rapper threw himself a birthday party at his home on Monday in honor of turning 34 this year. As you can expect, the guest list was star-studded! Everyone from Post Malone, Amber Rose, Tiffany Haddish, Evan Ross, and Mod Sun came to the birthday bash. Even Megan Fox attended! We’re not kidding. Despite their relationship problems, she showed up to the event! The proof?

Wednesday evening, Machine Gun Kelly posted several pictures from the party on Instagram, including one of him sitting on the ground and the actress crouching down next to him with a bunch of candles around them. The pair were all smiles in the snapshot. Swipe to the fifth slide to ch-ch-check it out:

Wow. Fans most likely didn’t expect to see the Jennifer’s Body star by his side at the event, as she confirmed a month ago that they called off their engagement. While they’ve taken time apart — and are even “living separately” now — they seem no closer to fixing their relationship. In fact, it sounds more and more like their relationship is over. A source told Us Weekly this week:

“Megan is reevaluating everything in her life. It was getting toxic between them and they were fighting a lot.”

But the biggest sign the twin flames’ flame burned out? The insider said Megan “wants her freedom” and told the Bloody Valentine singer “she wants space” — something he’s giving her now. Well, except for her going to the birthday party. Despite calling a time out on their romance, she may have wanted to still show up and support him on the special day. Megan did say on Call Her Daddy that  “there will always be a tether to him no matter what” happens with their relationship in the long run.

An Arkansas woman looked to celebrate her birthday with a lottery ticket.

Rather than buy a LOTTO ticket for the drawing on the day of her birthday, she purchased one a few days before using the same numbers her and her boyfriend have been using since December.

When the woman and her boyfriend scanned the ticket the day after the drawing, they found their numbers won them money. However, they didn’t know how much.

The couple expected to have won $500, but the prize was much larger.

For the Fayetteville resident, the money is “life-changing.” She won $25,000 in the March 20 drawing, lottery officials said.

“It was too good to be true,” she told lottery officials.

She plans to purchase a “much-needed” vehicle and pay bills with her winnings, according to lottery officials.

“This is a big happy birthday,” she said. “The timing could not have been better.”

Fayetteville is about a 200-mile drive northwest from Little Rock.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.

  • Supermodel Christie Brinkley Celebrates 70th Birthday Today – ‘We Made It’

Supermodel Christie Brinkley Celebrates 70th Birthday Today – ‘We Made It’

    Opinion

    Source: PEOPLE, Tamron Hall Show

The supermodel Christie Brinkley is turning 70 today, and she took to social media to celebrate.

    Brinkley Turns 70

Brinkley celebrated her landmark birthday by posting a series of photos to Instagram of herself and two of her children on vacation in Turks & Caicos. The images show Brinkley lounging in a cabana and then standing underneath a “Happy Birthday” banner with her kids.

“We made it here just in time for a golden sunset at lucky house,” she captioned the post. “And swipe to see what the kids did to our living room so I don’t forget I’m turning 70 on Friday! isn’t that S W E E T!!!!”

Last week, Brinkley told People Magazine that she is approaching her 70th birthday  “with a lot of reverence and emotion.”

“I think 70 is very similar to 50, in that it’s a time when you look both back and forward,” she said, adding that just like when she turned 50, the “steady march” to 70 has carried a certain weight.

“The big 7-0 is another one of those [ages] that’s up there in giant block numbers that loom over,” she explained. “At 62, you start thinking, ‘Well, I’m almost 70.’ It cast a shadow all over that whole decade down.”

Instead of letting this get her down, however, Brinkley instead put her energy into figuring out how to make this moment “special.”

“Over the last five years, I thought, ‘I’m going to do a big blowout.’” However, life got in the way of her party planning. “Every day I’ve been so busy,” Brinkley said. “I haven’t really had a second to put a plan in place. And you know what? That’s absolutely fine with me.”

    Brinkley Focused On The Future

Fox News reported that Brinkley is also focused on the things that she still wants to do in this life.

“I still have to see India,” she said. “I’ve never been to Tahiti or Thailand. I want to go to Bali also. I’ve got to do an eat, pray, love.”

Brinkley has made it clear that she has no intention of allowing her age to stop her from taking part in future projects.

“What’s the big deal about 30? What’s the big deal about 40?” Brinkley said back in September. “If you take good care of yourself, and you eat right, and you exercise, and you have a good mental attitude — lots of laughter, lots of curiosity, lots of adventures — that keeps you young. In short, age is just a state of mind, so I just don’t think about it.”

Check out that interview in the video below.

Brinkley ‘Open’ To Finding Love Again

Though Brinkley has been married and divorced four times, she is currently single. While she “remains open” to finding love again, she admitted last month that the challenge for her is that “there just doesn’t seem to be anybody out there.”

“At the same time. I am pretty comfortable with my life the way it is, so, que será, será!” she told People Magazine. “I always said my whole life that I think that you have to be happy alone so that you get with a man for the right reasons and you’re not clinging to him because you need to, you know?”

God bless Brinkley for continuing to show the world that age really is just a number. We would like to wish Brinkley a very happy birthday, and many more to come!
