  • Barrel leg jeans are my go-to on ‘I don’t know what to wear’ days

The topic of women’s jeans is a divisive one; everyone’s favourite shape differs. But if 2025 has taught me anything thus far, it’s that the best barrel leg jeans have us united. Not a single one of my fashion editor friends or colleagues dislikes them – and I can’t blame them, considering the wide leg pairs need little styling to look elevated thanks to the voluminous leg shape.

So when did the love for this fresh denim shape begin? It all started in AW23 when Alaïa made a pair the focal point of their entire runway. The barrel-leg trend took flight, and fashion hasn’t looked back since – nope, not even for classic high waist straight-leg or mom jeans.

With Agolde and Citizens of Humanity leading the way, multiple brands have seen huge success from their balloon-shape denim, so you best believe they’re the silhouette to shop throughout the rest of 2025. And it’s not just specialist brands who have tapped into the denim trend, there’s so many best-selling pairs in the ‘new in’ sections all over the high street right now, too – with everyone from Cos and Arket to Free People and Nobody’s Child having iterations to choose from.

While some of you will be welcoming the news of the skinny jeans’ return – you’ve no doubt seen the return of Topshop’s iconic Joni jeans after its runway return this month – but I, for one, am dreading it. So much so, that I’ve set my sights on their antithesis. I want to be wearing capacious barrel leg jeans that look just as chic with a cardigan and loafers, as they do with kitten heels and a blouse.

I’m not the only one, either. Google searches for ‘barrel jeans’ are up by around 41% since this time last year, and the street style set is into it too. Bella Hadid and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, prove this pair of wide leg jeans is the off-duty model failsafe, whilst Katie Holmes has shown this year that the trend transcends seasons.

Keep wearing mid wash blue balloon jeans (or lemon, like this fun ASOS Design pair) throughout the warmer months, and come autumn/winter, simply switch to dark denim colourways. I’ve already saved the extra baggy wide leg Citizens of Humanity black pair.

According to social media, I’m not the only one who has a crush on them either – with fashion insiders showing how to style barrel leg jeans by the LA brand with everything from oversized blazers to lightweight knitwear and floaty GANNI tops. Basically, they look great with practically any top, which is why they’re the go-to for so many stylists, editors and fashion people.

What is another name for barrel leg jeans?

Barrel leg jeans have a few different names – it just depends on which brand you’re shopping from. Citizens of Humanity call them ‘horseshoe jeans’, with this super wide-leg pair by Citizen of Humanity being our faves, whilst you might also see them named ‘balloon jeans’, or referred to as ‘tapered’ like Agolde’s Luna high-rise jeans.

There’s a new striped version of this sell-out Damson Madder pair (keep scrolling to shop) or check Vinted for this bow print style.

Slightly equestrian and adhering to the current cowboy movement, the best barrel-leg jeans are far more wearable than you’d likely first imagine. Try them over a pair of kitten heels or ballet pumps to balance out the oversized barrel silhouette with a delicate and feminine contrast, and opt for something more fitting on top. With that being said, though, I equally like the look of a fully voluminous outfit by opting for a bomber leather jacket, just how GLAMOUR’s senior european commerce editor Sophie Cockett has styled her Aligne white Tommy pair (above) for a transeasonal look that’ll never fail.

Now you’ve got some barrel leg outfit inspiration, here are the best pairs to suit all budgets.

Below, shop the barrel leg jeans trend for 2025.

  • Get Bella Hadid’s Looks For Less!

Get Bella Hadid’s Looks For Less!

There’s no denying that Bella Hadid is the epitome of a fashion icon. Supermodels are essentially the original influencer: debuting fashion lines long before they’re made available to the public…fashioning each piece of clothing so that it looks so good, you’re convinced you need to purchase it immediately.

We saw it with the platform mini UGG phenomenon. One fine morning, Bella Hadid stepped out on the New York City streets and caused utter chaos. She had donned a pair of platform mini UGGs (soon-to-be-viral-and-sold-out) with an oversized leather jacket and micro shorts.

Suddenly, the internet was divided. After purchasing the mini platform boots for themselves, they realized they didn’t look as good as they do on Bella Hadid. Some even dubbed them “Horse Clogs” because the shoe made their feet look like hooves.

Quickly, the world realized a sobering fact: just because Bella Hadid wears it, doesn’t mean it will look fantastic on everyone.

Sigh. I know. I hit a nerve there. But don’t fret, dear reader! I actually have some good news here: just because Bella Hadid wears it,
does mean it looks fantastic on everyone!

It’s about what works with your fashion sense and styling for your body type. Yes, those platform UGGs look smashing on Hadid, but they’re not my style so I won’t buy them. However, the leather jacket she wears with it…different story.

What I’ve noticed about Bella Hadid is that she pairs reasonably priced items with the overtly expensive high-fashion pieces…making her style easily replicable — or at the very least, adaptable. Much like Hailey Bieber, I’m sure Bella Hadid has hundreds and hundreds of basic tanks and tees.

If you’re like me and want to steal Bella Hadid’s looks for less money, stay tuned. We’re about to dive into how to get some of Bella’s best looks for less!

    The Platform Uggs Look

Since we’ve spent so much time mulling over the UGGs moment, let’s recreate it. This outfit is great for fall walks in the park or running errands while hungover. It’s your ideal fit for when you simply pull a jacket on top of what you’re wearing around the house.

I know we aren’t all fans of the platform UGG, so, don’t stress. This look can be done with any UGG of your choosing. Remember, it’s about what
you want to wear…not following Bella Hadid’s style to a T.

And since UGGs are all the rage always, I’m not going to find you a dupe. This may be the only time I recommend the real thing.

    An Easy All Black Look

Again, what I love about Bella Hadid’s looks is that they’re achievable for everyone. This all black look is comfortable enough to wear all day — whether it’s out to dinner or just heading to your next salon appointment.

Bella pairs the black tube top with a matching midi skirt, black sunnies, and black boots. The only true pop of color is in her tote bag. If you want this look, here are some more manageable alternatives.

    The Princess Diana

The look made popular by the People’s Princess is now a fall fashion staple. All you need is a pair of biker shorts and an oversized sweatshirt to make your dream come true. Bella opts for a monochromatic moment, and pairs it with a headband to tie the look together.

This is one of my favorites for everyday wear. Simply throw on a sweatshirt and run your many errands throughout the day…especially as the weather gets colder.

    Elevated Street Style

This is actually one of my favorite Bella Hadid looks because it encapsulates her style perfectly. Clean, a little grunge, and a mix of business attire make the perfect Bella Hadid moment.

What’s makes this street style so achievable is her usage of just your average t-shirt. If you sift through your drawers I’m sure you’ll find a slightly oversized tee, or two. Use what you have at home to conjur this ultimate look for less.

  • Insights On 2024 Spring Fashion

    Insights On 2024 Spring Fashion

Once Fashion Week has come and gone, it’s time to start plotting our spring wardrobe. We’re in that weird transitional period when I never know if it’s going to feel like winter – or summer – when I step out the door. Thanks to global warming, spring no longer exists.

This weekend was filled with floods in the New York area. This had me scrolling through endless online fashion magazines and adding hundreds of dollars of clothing to my various shopping carts. I rarely hit purchase, but it’s nice to dream.

When it comes to spring 2024 fashion trends, I’d like to welcome back the 60s. Yes, Jackie O’s iconic style – hello tweed skirt suits – is trending. Shift dresses are on every rack and color blocking is back in a major way.

Much like the fashion trends of the 1960s, miniskirts are going to be huge spring and summer trends in 2024. Even better, skorts are going to be lifesavers as the weather heats up.

Fashion icons like Jacqueline Kennedy and Audrey Hepburn ruled the scene, and that’s pretty much cycling back. Mod styles like bright colors and minidresses will also reign this summer.

What I love about spring 2024 womenswear is that it’s hyper-feminine, well-tailored clothing. We’re straying from pants and denim in general, and more towards linens, tweeds, and lighter fabrics.

Let’s take a look at some of my favorite fashion trends for spring thus far:

    Skirt Suit Sets

I’ve always wanted to feel presidential-adjacent like Jackie O in her smart skirt suit sets a la Chanel. Her incandescent style has inspired generations – Gucci even named a purse after her! Now, the skirt suit is back in action and I’m loving it. Abercrombie is currently killing the game with this one.

    Miniskirts

Meet your new best friend: the miniskirt. Pair it with a denim jacket, a crop top, a turtleneck – however you want. Personally, the blazer-and-miniskirt corporate combo kills. This is going to be my go-to this spring.

    Play With The Waist

I’ve noticed a lot of drop-waist dresses, or dresses with belts below the hip-line. The goal is to create the illusion of an elongated torso, and it also just gives a fun, sophisticated flare. I like Zara for these 60s inspired dresses with fun waist detailing:

    Cowboy Boots

Like I’ve said, if Bella Hadid’s gone country, the world has gone country. All-denim fits are a trending moment, but I’d go with a pair of cowboy boots. Easy to dress up or dress down, these are super fashionable in any season.

    The White Dress

White is the color of the season! A scary color to favor if you’re prone to spillage and stains like me. But you’ll see tons of white dresses in stores and online this spring, I prefer linen. The Free People Sunshine Mini Dress is my favorite.

    Statement Trench Coat

If you’re looking for a go-to jacket, nothing gives sophistication quite like a long trench coat. You knew it was going to be a trend when Kylie Jenner launched Khy and created the statement leather trench coat.

    Midlengths

Toward the end of the 1960s, the world switched from miniskirts to midis and maxis. History sure repeats itself – as does fashion. We’re seeing the rise of midi skirts alongside the mini, because who said we can’t do both?

    Messy Boho Chic

The style that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson popularized – the grunge messy look is back – baby. Think oversized button downs, leather boho bags, rocker tees and basics. They will reign supreme this spring.

    Cheetah Girls

    Hailey and Justin Bieber

    BACKGRID

Yes, the mob wife aesthetic will remain a popular trend for the time being. That includes animal prints of all sorts: cheetah, leopard, you name it.

    Belts Are Back

Not so long ago it didn’t matter whether or not you were sporting a belt. Now, it’s yet again a fashion staple. No, we aren’t bringing back the classic Gucci double G belt that was all the rage in 2017. It’s more about statement belts, or just your average leather belt to pull together your outfit.

    Disco Never Died

Think chrome, sequins, chainlink, and all that glitters. Have some fun with a shiny dress or a pair of chrome pants!

  • Gone Country: How Bella Hadid Inspired The Biggest Trend of 2024

Gone Country: How Bella Hadid Inspired The Biggest Trend of 2024

Over the past year, I’ve noticed a major shift in the trend-scape. Sure, we have major fashion trends like Sofia Richie-Grainge’s Old Money style or the consistent popularity of Y2K fashion. But there’s a more persistent trend that has wiggled its way into our fashion, our music, and even our dating choices.

Yes, America’s gone country. It started with the rise in popularity of country music: folk inspired, stomp-and-holler musicians like Noah Kahan and Zach Bryan skyrocketed to superstardom. Luke Combs’ version of “Fast Car” was #1 on the Billboard charts, Morgan Wallen’s One Thing At A Time album dominated, and then there are artists like Tyler Childers who are quickly becoming go-to radio favorites.

But, lately, the extensive reach of country spreads far beyond music. It’s in our style: cowboy boots are no longer reserved for your yearly trip to a country concert or for the streets of Nashville. They’re now your go-to for your outfits, a staple in your shoe closet.

The Hills’ Kristin Cavallari recently broke the internet for dating one of TikTok’s famous Montana Boyz. Viral for their good looks and country lip syncing videos, the Montana Boyz are your classic truck-loving, boot-wearing country men. And for one of Los Angeles’ original It Girls, this dating choice seemed a bit unnatural.

    @montana.boyz Brother she’s country.. #fyp #montanaboyz ♬ She’s Country – Jason Aldean

Cavallari isn’t the only one who has saddled up and gone country…in fact, our resident It Girl, Bella Hadid is leading the pack. Bella’s always loved horseback riding, but these days we notice she’s been spending a lot of time in Fort Worth, Texas.

    Who Is Bella Hadid Dating?

Bella Hadid and boyfriend Adan Banuelos

    Bella Hadid via Instagram Stories

Yes, she’s dating Adan Banuelos, a famous professional horseback rider who is a bit of a star in the rodeo world himself. The couple were first spotted in October 2023 shopping, wearing coordinating cowboy boots and denim. From there, Bella Hadid has been a walking poster for all things country.

She’s posted subtle Instagram nods to her relationship with Banuelos, which consists of a lot of equestrian posts. It makes sense, as Hadid was hitting professional horseback riding competitions until she was diagnosed with Lyme’s Disease. She’s remained passionate about horseback riding since, often posting about her horses on social media.

And if Bella Hadid is one thing, it’s a trendsetter. She popularized the UGG platform slippers that sell out the second the weather drops below 60 degrees. She convinces us that we, too, can rock low rise jeans.

So now the entire planet is enraptured by country. We’re all buying the cowboy boots, leaning into our all-denim Canadian tuxedo fits, and streaming Nashville’s finest.

Want to go country just like Bella Hadid? Here’s how to do it.

    Bella Hadid’s Country Fits

We all want to dress like Bella Hadid. There’s countless Instagram accounts dedicated to the younger Hadid sister’s closet. The moment she’s photographed outside, the whole world’s trying to figure out what she’s wearing and if they can afford it.

And if they can’t afford it, they’ll dupe it. So I’ve rounded up a few Bella Hadid-inspired country outfits that are just southern enough…but also endlessly versatile pieces that won’t end up in your donation bin a year from now.

    Full Denim Fit

I like this look because it’s a chill street style version of your classic all-denim outfit. The sweetheart styled top paired with low-rise baggy jeans is precisely what you need for a timeless look.

    An Essential Jean Jacket

Honestly, couldn’t come up with something better myself. A solid denim jacket is tough to come by. I always struggle with going too oversized and swimming in my coat, but this one is the epitome of a staple denim jacket.

    A Cowboy Hat

It ain’t a trip to the rodeo without your cowboy hat. Bella Hadid somehow makes this look effortlessly chic. Go plain with a black cowboy hat like this one Bella wears.

  • I Live in Venice Beach Where Low-Key Style Is It—These Outfits Hit

I Live in Venice Beach Where Low-Key Style Is It—These Outfits Hit

I’ve always been a city girl. I was born in Kuala Lumpur, grew up in Houston, and upon moving to L.A., lived comfortably east of the 405 for years. But a California hazard they don’t warn you about is that you might meet a cute surfer who eventually lures you all the way west. After some cajoling, I gave in to my inner Pisces, packed up my gray Tabby, and moved us across town to the sun-dappled, salty-aired streets of Venice Beach.

It’s been six years since, and while I may not yet be a bona fide beach babe (I still prefer reading on the sand to roaring waves), it’s home. My hair is blonder, my mornings slower, and I love the neighborhood’s walkability and proximity to the Pacific Ocean. Every time I catch another glorious pink sunset, it does feel a little like living in a fantasy.

If you’ve ever experienced L.A. traffic, you know how vast and sprawling the city is. Different zip codes mean different dress codes, and the attitude in Venice is very relaxed. Denim and comfy shoes reign supreme, and a knit is a must to combat the almost-always-present marine layer. Most of my bolder pieces have been relegated to the back of my closet, awaiting invites for martinis at Tower Bar, dancing at A Club Called Rhonda, and too much pasta at Little Dom’s. So while my highlights may not be low-maintenance, my approach to daily dressing is.

Keep reading for three of my tried-and-true outfits for your next trip to the beach.

  • Bella Hadid Just Ditched Baggy Jeans For This Skinny-Adjacent Style

Bella Hadid Just Ditched Baggy Jeans For This Skinny-Adjacent Style

Bella Hadid is back in NYC after many months away. And as someone whose style is always evolving, it’s to be expected that there’d be some new observations to make about her wardrobe. In keeping with the trends for several seasons now, Hadid had embraced baggier silhouettes before taking some time off away from the public eye. This included her jeans of choice, which were often loose and low-rise. But things have shifted, at least for a day.

While out in the city during the day this week, Hadid wore a pair of jeans that were basically the opposite of her previous loose and low ones. The high-waisted pair she chose weren’t quite skinny jeans, as they weren’t super tight around the ankles, but they could best be described as slim-leg jeans. Slim-leg jeans fall somewhere between straight-leg and skinny jeans on the slimness meter, and they’re a great choice if you prefer something polished, timeless, and versatile.

If you love Hadid’s new jeans, scroll on to shop similar pairs for yourself.

  • Bella Hadid Wore the Anti-Jeans Trend That's Perfect for Long-Haul Flights

Bella Hadid Wore the Anti-Jeans Trend That's Perfect for Long-Haul Flights

Stop what you’re doing and pay attention, because #BellaIsBack, and it’s nothing to take lightly. Any loyal Bella Hadid fan will tell you that the supermodel has been steering clear of the public eye for quite some time now, so spotting her in New York City outside of her sister Gigi’s NoHo apartment on Wednesday is kind of a big deal. No, actually, it’s a huge deal. And her impeccable—seriously, no notes—outfit for the occasion only emphasized the moment’s importance.

For the rare sighting, Hadid chose a very ’90s, model-off-duty type of ensemble, opting for a trench coat, black turtleneck, and stretchy, black flared leggings (or, as I like to refer to them, yoga pants). Accessorizing like a pro as always, she added a checker-print tote-style shoulder bag, F/W 99 Prada boots, and DMY by DMY wire-rim sunglasses. The look appeared effortless and therefore is bound to be copied all across TikTok. But honestly, it wasn’t her outfit as a whole that struck me when I first saw photos of it, but just her pants, which I couldn’t help but notice would be utterly perfect for flying

Missoma is the jewellery brand loved by Em Rata, Florence Pugh and Bella Hadid and it’s having a sale this weekend

When you see celebrities wear jewellery, it almost never feels accessible… that is, until Missoma entered the chat. And the best part? The brand is having a weekend-long flash sale ahead of gifting season, with 20% off sitewide. This is not a drill.

    Why is Missoma so popular?

Every so often, A-listers and influencers will step away from wearing their usual multi-million-pound diamonds on the red carpet and instead don a jewellery brand that’s actually quite affordable, giving us an accessory story we can finally shop ourselves. They’ll get photographed in it constantly, the brand will go viral on Instagram and we’ll all be able to get a piece of the layered gold jewellery pie.

Such is the case of Missoma, the British jewellery brand founded by Marisa Hordern that crafts everything from charm anklets to those influencer-adored gold chain necklaces and oversized hoop earrings, and which counts Florence Pugh, Emily Ratajkowski, J-Lo, Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, and Emma Watson as its fans.

Kate Middleton has been spotted wearing Missoma jewellery on many-an-occasion (case in point: the time she donned the Missoma Rhodochrosite Gold Mini Pyramid Charm Hoops on a public appearance in London), Kendall Jenner was papped wearing the Ovate Hoops, the Lucy Williams Octagon Medallion Necklace was spotted on Taylor Swift‘s TikTok, and Meghan Markle has been pictured on numerous occasions wearing Missoma’s bracelets and rings. Even Margot Robbie/Barbie wore a Missoma necklace in the 2023 movie, so it’s only right everyone else wants in.

Meet Makeup’s Hottest Brand: Patrick Ta Beauty

When I’m doing my makeup, I act like I’m filming a Get Ready With Me-style TikTok. I introduce my products to the nonexistent camera and explain my application process to an imaginary audience. My views are always skyrocketing. My subscribers always begging for more. Just ask my fans: I’m the next big influencer

If you’re anything like me, you’ve been watching makeup tutorials since the YouTube days. Yes, when Jeffree Star’s honest beauty reviews were all the rage and people still used the James Charles x Morphe palette. NikkieTutorials and Jaclyn Hill were go-to makeup artists filming “easy” eyeshadow looks that never quite looked the same on me.

Now, the format has been replicated on TikTok. We doom-scroll through TikTok to consume 1-10 minute videos of everyone plugging new products and delving into makeup secrets. This content format is an even bigger marketing tool than we could have ever imagined— one used by celebrities, brand owners, and musicians flock to connect with new fan bases and become the Next Big Trend.

Times may change, but the goal stays the same: achieving celebrity-level makeup. How can I get the cheekbones of Kim Kardashian and the Kylie Jenner ombre blush? How do I make it look like I got my makeup airbrushed on my face?

Enter Patrick Ta: the longtime celebrity makeup artist for the likes of Bella and Gigi Hadid, the entire Kar-Jenner clan, Chrissy Teigen, Emily Ratajkowski, Shay Mitchell, and more. In 2019, after about six years as a MUA in Los Angeles, Ta launched PATRICK TA BEAUTY.

    What is PATRICK TA BEAUTY?

Using formulas that are both good for your skin and perfect for the red carpet in inclusive shade ranges, Patrick Ta has created the beauty brand of your dreams. His makeup is the most viral brand of 2023, with his cream-over-powder blush method taking the world by storm.

I love a good celeb makeup artist’s brand: Mario Dedivanovic’s Makeup By Mario, Patrick Starrr’s ONE/SIZE, Pat McGrath, Charlotte Tilbury, the list goes on. So I don’t know why it took so long for me to do a full haul of Patrick Ta, especially since it feels like everyone has already tried it.

And unlike many celeb brands, it’s not just snake oil in luxury packaging. You actually get your money’s worth with his products — which often come with a powder and cream in one tin. Every influencer out there has raved about Patrick Ta, and for good reason. He even has his own TikTok to show the best ways to use his products. But is it all too good to be true? It was time I tried it for myself.

  • Bella Hadid Is Already Wearing Spring 2024’s Biggest Runway Trend So Far

Bella Hadid Is Already Wearing Spring 2024’s Biggest Runway Trend So Far

We’re only halfway through fashion month, yet one trend is already shaping up to be the favorite of the entire calendar: capri pants. The not-too-short, not-too-long bottoms made a surprising comeback during New York Fashion Week, with appearances at Tory Burch, Phillip Lim, Mirror Palais, and Sandy Liang. Already, we’ve gotten a glimpse at the style’s first celebrity endorsement.

This week, Bella Hadid was spotted on a helipad in Manhattan after arriving in the city alongside her brother Anwar. For the trip, she chose an oversize button-down shirt, a white tank top, satin Miu Miu ballet flats, and *the* trend of the spring/summer 2024 runway season, a pair of white capri pants. On the accessory front, she added a burgundy satchel, a Y2K headband, and thin hoop earrings.

It should come as no surprise that the supermodel is the first to take the formerly outdated capri-pant trend out for a test-drive. After all, she’s known for her love of early-aughts styling and testing the boundaries when it comes to street style. Now that they have her stamp of approval, there’s no question about it: Capri pants are back. Accept it. Scroll down to see her travel outfit and shop the trend before it blows up.

Bella Hadid made a ‘Bald and Beautiful’ comeback after Lyme Disease battle; Fans REACT

Bella Hadid, the supermodel, recently surprised everyone with her bold fashion transformation. She appeared in the Fall 2023 campaign for Marc Jacob’s brand called Heaven. Read on to know everything.

Bella Hadid made ‘Bald and Beautiful’ appearance

Here’s the twist: Bella was completely bald in her new look! Yes, you read that right. Bella Hadid, who is known for her beautiful brunette hair, decided to go bald for this photoshoot. Not only did she lose her hair, but she also left her clothes behind, making it a truly minimalist look.

Now, let’s be clear; we’re not entirely sure if this bald look is 100% real or if it involves some digital magic like CGI or Photoshop. It’s mostly said to be an AI-made look. However, in this alternative reality-like photoshoot, Bella Hadid rocked the ‘bald and beautiful’ like a true fashion icon, strikingly opposite from her usual appearance. This look marked her strong comeback from the long treatment for Lyme Disease.

Fans react to Bella’s bald look

Fans had mixed reactions to Bella’s new look. Some were amazed and praised her while others were too shocked to see her like this. One commented under the post, “Yessss proving you can be bald and beautiful is what it’s all about. We just need more representation and awareness to get it out there. Representation of bald beauty — it’s dope. From someone who lives this truth myself, bald beauty exists beyond extraterrestrial connotations or AI fantasies. Bald is beautiful too just say that 🗣️🌀💙,”

Supermodel Bella Hadid Criticized Israel’s Far-Right Security Minister. Now He’s Lashing Out At Her

By ISABEL DEBRE, The Associated Press.

Israel’s far-right national security minister lashed out at supermodel Bella Hadid on Friday for criticizing his recent fiery televised remarks about Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

In an interview earlier this week with Israel’s Channel 12 following two deadly Palestinian attacks on Israelis in the occupied territory, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir argued that his right to freedom of movement as a Jewish settler outweighs the same right for Palestinians.

“My right, the right of my wife and my children, to move around Judea and Samaria is more important than freedom of movement for the Arabs,” Ben-Gvir said Wednesday, using the biblical name for the West Bank. “The right to life comes before freedom of movement.”

Addressing Mohammad Magadli, a well-known Israeli-Arab television host who was in the studio, Ben-Gvir added: “Sorry, Mohammad. But that’s the reality.”

Hadid, a supermodel and social media influencer whose father is Palestinian, shared an excerpt from Ben-Gvir’s interview with her 59.5 million followers on Instagram on Thursday, writing: “In no place, no time, especially in 2023 should one life be more valuable than another’s. Especially simply because of their ethnicity, culture or pure hatred.”

She also posted a video from leading Israeli rights group B’Tselem showing Israeli soldiers in the southern West Bank city of Hebron telling a resident that Palestinians are not permitted to walk on a certain street because it is reserved for Jews. “Does this remind anyone of anything?” she wrote.

Ben-Gvir responded angrily Friday to Hadid’s post.

“I invite you to Kiryat Arba, to see how we live here, how every day, Jews who have done nothing wrong to anyone in their lives are murdered here,” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Ben-Gvir lives in the settlement of Kiryat Arba near Hebron, the largest Palestinian city.

His statement on television has drawn widespread criticism as commentators seized on it as proof of allegations that Israel is turning into an apartheid system that seeks to maintain Jewish hegemony from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.

Protesters thronged outside Ben-Gvir’s home in a West Bank settlement Friday to condemn his remarks. The catchphrase “Sorry, Mohammad” became meme fodder for social media as critics posted it alongside videos of Israeli violence against Palestinians.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu later defended Ben-Gvir’s comments in a statement, saying that Israel “allows maximum freedom of movement” in the West Bank.

Palestinian militants, Netanyahu said, “take advantage of this freedom of movement to murder Israeli women, children, and families by ambushing them at certain points on different routes.”

“This is what Minister Ben-Gvir meant when he said ‘the right to life precedes freedom of movement,” Netanyahu added.

There are at least 645 checkpoints and roadblocks restricting Palestinian movement in the West Bank, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, which closely tracks movement and access in the West Bank and Gaza, said Friday.

Over half the barriers severely hamper Palestinians in their efforts to go about their daily lives, the agency said.

Earlier this week, Palestinian gunmen opened fire on an Israeli car near Hebron, killing an Israeli woman and seriously wounding the driver. That attack came just days after a Palestinian shooting attack killed an Israeli father and son in the northern Palestinian town of Hawara.

Some 30 people have been killed by Palestinian attacks on Israelis since the start of this year, according to a tally by The Associated Press. Nearly 180 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire in the West Bank during that time, most of whom Israel says were militants.

Ben-Gvir acknowledged the backlash against his comments but doubled down on his original statement.

“So yes, the right of me and my fellow Jews to travel and return home safely on the roads of Judea and Samaria outweighs the right of terrorists who throw stones at us and kill us,” he wrote.

Ben-Gvir has been convicted in the past of inciting racism and of supporting a terrorist organization. He was known as an admirer of rabbi Meir Kahane, who was banned from Parliament and whose Kach party was branded a terrorist group by the United States before he was assassinated in New York in 1990. Kach wanted to strip Arab Israelis of their citizenship, segregate Israeli public spaces, and ban marriages between Jews and non-Jews.

Before joining politics, Ben-Gvir hung a portrait in his living room of a Jewish man who fatally shot 29 Palestinians in the West Bank in 1994.

A once-marginal far-right activist, Ben-Gvir now wields significant power as the national security minister overseeing the Israeli police force in Netanyahu’s government.

Bella Hadid Says She’s “Finally Healthy” After “Almost 15 Years of Invisible Suffering”

After spending well over half of her life in what she described as “invisible suffering,” 26-year-old model Bella Hadid is “finally healthy,” she said in an Instagram post Sunday.

In a lengthy caption, she chronicled her health struggles, including (sic throughout) “100+ days of Lyme, chronic disease , co infection treatment, almost 15 years of invisible suffering.” She said that it “was all worth it if I’m able to, God willing, have a lifetime of spreading love from a full cup, and being able to truly be myself, For the first time ever.”

Her accompanying photo carousel begins with a shot of medical notes from a 2013 exam of then-17-year-old-Hadid. It describes her being “ill for more than 1 ½ years now,” feeling “extremely exhausted and depressed” and unable to attend school. A paragraph-long summary contains a laundry list of physical, mood, and neurological symptoms, memory issues, fatigue, and pain among them. She also shared photos of herself receiving various treatments, poked and prodded and hooked up to any number of IVs, calling them “the most positive pictures I could because as painful as this experience was, the outcome was the most enlightening experience of my life filled with new friends, new visions and a new brain.”

    Instagram content

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

She thanked her mother, Yolanda Hadid, as well as her medical team and the companies she’s worked for, as well as other associates and supporters, and added that “I’ll be back when I’m ready.”

Bella has been largely absent from the spotlight as she handles her variety of medical complications, among them the chronic autoimmune disorder Lyme disease, a diagnosis she shares with mom Yolanda and sibling Anwar Hadid. “To be that sad and sick with the most blessings/privilege/opportunity/love around me was quite possibly the most confusing thing ever,” Bella wrote in the caption.

Earlier this month, sister Gigi Hadid said in her Instagram stories that Bella had recently finished a “long and intense” treatment for Lyme, and that she looked forward to her coming back to modeling “whenever she feels ready.”

All in all, Bella’s update is an acknowledgment of her struggle, and a celebration of the progress she’s made over the last decade and a half. “the little me that suffered would be so proud of grown me for not giving up on myself🫶” she wrote.

Bella Hadid Gives Health Update Following Lyme Disease Treatment: ‘I Am Okay And You Do Not Have To Worry’

    By Tionah Lee, ETOnline.com.

Bella Hadid is giving a rare look inside her years-long battle with lyme disease.

On Sunday, 26-year-old model took to Instagram — after undergoing daily lyme disease treatment — to share some insight on her battle with the condition and healing journey. Alongside a long message were pictures of Hadid with various needles in her arms, in hospital rooms, medical reports, and at home getting treatment.

“the little me that suffered would be so proud of grown me for not giving up on myself🫶🏼 Thankful to my mommy for keeping all of my medical records, sticking by me, never leaving my side, protecting, supporting , but most of all, believing me through all of this,” Hadid wrote. “Living in this state, worsening with time and work while trying to make myself, my family and the people who support me, proud, had taken a toll on me in ways I can’t really explain. To be that sad and sick with the most blessings/privilege/opportunity/love around me was quite possibly the most confusing thing ever.”

Hadid, who was diagnosed with the vector-born disease in 2012 — continued with a message to her fans assuring them that she is okay.

“one thing I want to express to you all is that 1: I am okay and you do not have to worry, ♥️and 2:I wouldn’t change anything for the world. If I had to go through all of this again, to get here, to this exact moment I’m in right now, with all of you, finally healthy, I would do it all again. It made me who I am today,” she added. “The universe works in the most painful and beautiful ways but I need to say that if you are struggling- it will get better. I promise. take a step away, stay strong, have faith in your path, walk in your truth and the clouds will start to clear up. I have so much gratitude for and perspective on life , this 100+ days of Lyme, chronic disease , co infection treatment, almost 15 years of invisible suffering, was all worth it if I’m able to, God willing, have a lifetime of spreading love from a full cup, and being able to truly be myself, For the first time ever I tried to pick the most positive pictures I could because as painful as this experience was, the outcome was the most enlightening experience of my life filled with new friends, new visions and a new brain.”

Hadid’s message ended with a special thank you to her fans, and her team who have worked with her while she has taken an extended absence from modelling. The cover girl promised to make her return when she’s ready.

“Thank you for the patience of the incredible company’s that I work for, my supporters and the people who continued to check in. My agents Jill and Joseph for protecting me. I love and appreciate you more than I can ever express,” she wrote.

“Thank you to my genius Dr, and her INCREDIBLE team of nurses. I love you SO much!!! I’ll be back when I’m ready I miss you all so much I love you all so much.”

In a follow-up post, Hadid gave a special shout-out to her pup.

“And God Bless my Angel Glizzy P. Beans aka Petunia aka Beans For never leaving my side not for one second,” she wrote.

The model’s note comes after ET learned that she was undergoing daily treatment and working on her health and not in rehab, as suggested by some reports.

“Nine months ago, Bella decided she wanted to stop drinking, so she stopped,” the source told ET following false reports. “She has been sober for nine months and has never had an alcohol or drug problem. Bella is not in rehab.”

Another source told ET, “Bella is taking some much-deserved time off to treat her Lyme disease. She is not in rehab and has never had an alcohol or drug problem.”

Hadid’s sister, Gigi also shared an update about her sister, following fan speculation that she was returning to the fashion world.

“Just wanna touch on this post from last week. Bella just finished a long and intense treatment for Lyme disease,” Gigi explained. “Didn’t want some to take my post as a promise she’ll be back for shows this next season.”

Gigi added of her sister, “I’m so proud of her and excited for her comeback whenever she feels ready.”

  • From Bella Hadid to Rihanna, This Luxury Bag Is a Calling Card of Wealthy Celebs

From Bella Hadid to Rihanna, This Luxury Bag Is a Calling Card of Wealthy Celebs

Goyard bags are prized in part for their exclusivity. And because they can only be purchased at certain places, they tend to be priced even higher when sold secondhand. So as far as an investment bag goes, it’s a pretty safe bet as long as you take care of it.

That said, determining the value of a bag is different for merchants and buyers. While the quality construction and materials used in Goyard bags are superb, it’s also important to consider other factors: How often will you wear the bag? Will the color work with the rest of your wardrobe? Does this particular style feel timeless to you?

Also, higher-end bags that tend to be custom creations can also be of different value to the buyer and seller, particularly on the secondhand market. Does the bag have personal details that are meaningful, such as a monogram, or other embellishments? Rare bags that are unique but not overly personalized tend to carry the highest value in the resale market but may be priceless to their owners.

So while we say yes, it is worthwhile to buy a Goyard bag, ultimately, the decision is a personal one that must factor in material, design, price, color, and utility. Hopefully, any bag purchased will be enjoyed and admired no matter the final cost.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m guilty of buying things for the sheer joy of it, but when it comes to sunglasses, I always think about practicality first. Not only do they shield your eyes from harmful UV rays, but they’re one of the few items you can wear every single day without anyone noticing. If you’re in the market for a new pair, why not take some pointers from celebrities like Meghan Markle and Priyanka Chopra Jonas?

No one doubts Markle’s ability to make things sell out, but luckily for us, one of her favorite accessories is still in stock: Le Specs Air Heart 51mm Sunglasses ($55). She’s worn them multiple times with outfits ranging from a vintage coat to a breezy summer dress. Fellow royal Kate Middleton, however, is partial to Ray-Ban Classic Wayfarer 54mm Sunglasses ($108), which are a tried-and-true classic. Scroll down to shop celebrities’ favorite sunglasses.

And no, the daytime option shouldn’t always be a pair of flip-flops. While I would love to traipse around in my Rainbows all day, fashion icons would scoff at my choice of thong sandal if I wore them out too much. Lisa Vanderpump believes everyone should wear heels all the time, but even I can’t commit to that.

And since I always wear my summer shoes down to their soles, I will be getting my money’s worth out of them…so they have to be good. And they have to match with almost everything – biker shorts, denim shorts, maybe a sundress if I want. Normally, the go-to option would be a stark white sneaker like the Air Force 1 or perhaps a New Balance 550 if I wish.

But this year, something has changed.
Summer’s hottest sneaker isn’t new by any means…in fact, it’s a classic in both the soccer (or should I say football?) world and the fashion world since I’ve been alive. That’s right, everyone is obsessed with the adidas Samba sneaker again.

    @dailycarinaibsen wait for it 😒 #adidas#adidassamba#musthave#popularsneakers#sneakers#samba#fyp#denmark♬ original sound – 👀

The Samba is a flat-style shoe so iconic that I can perfectly picture in my head as I write this. Created for indoor soccer stars, the classic model was predominantly black with the white stripes on the sides. And while Sambas weren’t always the public’s favorite streetwear sneaker, they most certainly are now.

Everyone famous you know is wearing the shoes. Don’t believe me? See Harry Styles, Jacob Elordi, Kaia Gerber, Emily Ratajkowski, and Bella Hadid. Or maybe check out
the shoes Katie Holmes, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky all wear. The list could go on if I had the time, but I don’t. Go to any trendy neighborhood, trendy bar, or trendy influencer’s feed — you’ll see them.

The Samba has been around since 1950, and has been featured on the feet of iconic figures in pop culture. So much so, that they have cycled as a staple in the closets of the rich and the famous. The best part? They’re accessible to the not-so-rich-and-famous.

    The original
adidas Samba sneakers skyrocketed into a streetwear staple, making any outfit instantly cooler…but it was the collabs with high fashion brands like Gucci that solidified their place in the fashion world. Gucci x adidas highlights both of the brands classic looks: for adidas, the Gazelle style, for Gucci, pops of color with hints of suede in the shoe.

Similarly, adidas collabed with German-based luxury brand Kith, where they shared their take on the Stan Smith and the sister of
the Samba, the Gazelle. With more affordable pricing than the Gucci collaboration, Kith is one of the trendier brands on the market right now.

GQ has called it the sneaker of the summer for the past three summers, a fan favorite of influencers and trend followers alike. However, the high fashion connoisseurs hate them. Calling them overdone, others lamenting that they wouldn’t be “caught dead” in the fan-favorite shoe.

So, if you want a shoe that’s insanely trendy…and truly will never go out of style…then the
adidas Samba is for you. And if you’re a fan of Quiet Luxury or Stealth Wealth, the Gucci collection might be for you.

Insight On Being An It Girl

I grew up watching print magazines slowly turn into forgettable social media reels and semi-viral online articles. But their core content hasn’t changed: follow the It Girl, become the It Girl. The It Girl changes with the season, but during her time in the sun, she dictates trends and demands respect wherever she goes.

When I was younger, the It Girls were the Disney Channel stars I saw on my screen. I picked up every issue of
Tiger Beat and J-14 magazine to read about what Zendaya was wearing and to see which shade of lipgloss Selena Gomez was using (some things don’t change). The articles were all the same, but you’d never get tired of hearing young Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Raven Symone, and more giving dating advice to their adolescent, adoring fans.

Then, middle school hit and it was Taylor Swift time (again, some things don’t change). As I sit and write this, Taylor most definitely is still the hottest topic…but mix in supermodels and actresses like Bella and Gigi Hadid, the Kardashians, Sydney Sweeney, Sofia Richie, and, of course, Hailey Bieber.

    When I was reading
The Cut’s It Girl issue this year, I realized they were right…everyone kind of is an It Girl these days. It Girls are being cycled faster than some trends, because there is room for more than one It Girl in this huge world.

What Does It Take To Be An It Girl?

    I have a simple answer:
a social media account and an air of confidence. Everyone is an It Girl in my eyes if they are living their best lives and doing it with confidence. If you want to chase after the influencer lifestyle and post TikToks all day, you’re an It Girl. If you want to post to your five friends on your private Snapchat story, you’re an It Girl.

The It Girl lifestyle is a state of mind, there isn’t one sort of “look” they go for. As long as she is confident, and supports other women, she’s an It Girl. Because who can tell you otherwise if you’re playing the part?

They’re famous just because they are who they are – they just have what It takes. The original It Girl idea came from New York City, notoriously breeding party-going, young, effervescent women who were famous for being themselves and nothing less. But the concept of the It Girl has evolved into something a bit more.

It’s become a state of mind that women have developed…not to mention It Girl’s sister, Hot Girl. It Girl makeup trends populate on TikTok, you can see aesthetic Hot Girl lifestyle videos galore. Everyone wants to be That Girl…but who is That Girl?

For me, the idea of an It Girl shouldn’t be to be the most liked person on this planet or to make as much money as possible…but to live a life that makes you happiest. It’s about wearing the clothes you want and doing your makeup how it feels best for
    you.

Sure Alix Earle can influence you to buy any product, but what made her an It Girl was her honesty with her audience. Anyone can be considered beautiful, but if you’re not living life with good intentions then others can sniff that out.

So yes, the It Girl can have the ten-step skincare routine and always look put together…but she can also go out all weekend and spend Sundays curled up on her couch mourning her bank account. She can buy the expensive bag and regret it tomorrow.

Her secret? You can never tell what the It Girl is going to do next. She’s elusive, a bit unattainable, and yet she has to seem normal enough to be relatable.
You can go anywhere in the world and find an It Girl.

With social media, there’s always an It Girl somewhere. Charli D’Amelio and Addison Rae were the dominating It Girls of TikTok until the app cycled in more and more It Girls. Today, it’s Sofia Richie and her Old Money chic. Tomorrow, who knows?

The other day, a friend of mine asked who the It Girl was. Right now, for many, it’s actresses like Jenna Ortega and Madelyn Cline. For others, it’s TikTokers like Monet McMichael and Alix Earle.
Truly, the It Girl depends on who you ask.

So, yes, it may be an overrated concept in theory…but it’s been developed into a mindset for many girls to instill confidence within themselves. Nothing wrong with striving for the It Girl lifestyle.
