Oop! Draya Michele Claps Back After Laura Govan Alleges She Fought Her For Messing With Gilbert Arenas

Draya Michele responded to Laura Govan after she claimed to have past beef with the Mint Swim founder. During an interview with Carlos King, Govan claimed that Draya hooked up with her ex-man, Gilbert Arenas. For context, Draya and Laura appeared on ‘Basketball Wives LA’ together back in the day.

Draya Claps Back At Laura Govan

Well, chile! Draya Michele had some things to say to Laura for bringing her up. On Wednesday, October 30, Draya popped off on her Instagram Stories, questioning why people keep mentioning her when she isn’t bothering anyone. “I don’t bother nobody. Why does nobody bother me?” Draya wrote.

Draya Michele continued to explain in her IG Stories that she’s fed up with being “cyberbullied.”

“First, I’m not the type of person to clear s**t up, but enough is enough. I’ve been cyber bullied for almost 12 months straight by both men and women. And have stayed quiet. I don’t care about likes, comments, or going viral. But if I’m going to trend, I’m going to trend today and all f****g day,” Draya wrote.

Michele also clarified her timeline with Gilbert Arenas and called out Laura Govan, insisting that Laura’s accusations don’t add up. “Timelines aren’t time lining. And I’m sorry to people that can’t understand that,” Draya stated.

Draya clarified that she never messed with anyone’s husband, despite Laura accusing her of hooking up with Gilbert Arenas. Draya emphasized that no one was married back then and stated that she interacted with Gilbert Arenas “years” before joining ‘Basketball Wives LA.’ The television star also said she didn’t know Laura or her sister before the show, insisting that Laura calling her a “friend” during the interview was a stretch. Additionally, she pointed out that she joined the show as a friend to Gloria, Laura Govan’s sister, but she still had no idea who Laura was.

While addressing Laura’s comments, Draya made it clear that she never goes online to bash anyone, but she’ll always share her side of the story.

“I certainly don’t blame the woman in any situation where I am owed some of respect from my man. I don’t get on the internet and tell my side of the story often because I respect the fact that it’s only my side. I give a lot of people grace by being quiet and not sharing,” Draya continued.

Draya Michele also implied that if she had any “dirty laundry,” the reality TV show would’ve aired it since her storyline “carried” the show.

“I hope you read this in a tone that is of a strong woman once again coming to the internet, defending herself. And not a victim. I’m never a victim. I am a victor. Now, if you will excuse me. I will get back to my very normal non-reality TV related multifaceted life. Thank you.”

She also urged everyone to get out and vote, specifically for Vice President Kamala Harris.

Here’s What Laura Govan Said About Draya

Laura Govan spilled the tea while chattin’ with Carlos King on his podcast. She confirmed that she and Gilbert never married but share four kids after 12 years spent together. Govan told Carlos she knew Draya and Gilbert hooked up but didn’t realize Draya was his “jumpoff” on ‘Basketball Wives LA.’

Eventually, she discovered that Gilbert allegedly gave Draya $25,000 and brought her to Los Angeles. Govan then recalled how she confronted Draya while she was filming for the show after discovering papers from Gilbert, which led to an altercation between them. She also revealed that the incident did not air on ‘Basketball Wives LA’ because they allegedly didn’t want it to air.

“I remember I was not suppose to be filming and I walked passed everybody and I beat the f*** out of her. And it did not air. They did not want that air. I beat the f*** out of Draya. I think I picked her up by her p**** and her collar bone and threw her. And then I spit on her,” Laura said.

Laura explained that she felt betrayed because they were friends, and Draya used to help her with her social media. She then expressed that she believed she had to confront her because Draya knew about her involvement with Gilbert but still pursued him.

Drama, Detours, And I Do’s: Jennifer Williams’ Fiancé Sentenced To Jail, But The Wedding Goes On!

Love isn’t always a smooth ride, and for Jennifer Williams of Basketball Wives, it’s been anything but typical as she and her fiancé, Christian Gold, navigate an unexpected detour on their way to the altar.

Unfortunately, Christian was taken into custody at the DeKalb County courthouse on Friday morning, just one week before the couple’s wedding in Paris. As BOSSIP previously reported, Christian, who’s been on probation for a false imprisonment charge, found himself in hot water again, this time for violating the terms of his probation.

The charge? Traveling out of the country without permission from his probation officer. And where did the officer find this out? None other than social media, where Christian and Jennifer had been posting snaps of their romantic getaways in Italy and Switzerland.

As if that weren’t enough, Christian had also failed to pay $12,500 in restitution to his victim, a debt he finally cleared during his court appearance on Friday.

Christian Goes To Jail Days Before Jumping The Broom

The judge wasn’t amused, sentencing Christian to 15 days behind bars, per TMZ. But in a twist fit for the script of a reality TV show, the judge took their upcoming wedding into consideration and granted Christian a temporary release so he could be there to say “I do.”

For Jennifer, this must have been a massive relief. The couple picked September 14th in the City of Love to officially tie the knot. The date will still go ahead as planned, albeit with a bit more drama than anticipated.

Christian received official permission to travel overseas for their Parisian nuptials, but the honeymoon will have to wait. Upon their return, Christian will head straight back to DeKalb County to serve the remaining 13 days of his sentence—aka no honeymoon and just a quick return to reality.

While the path to the altar had more complicated than expected for the two, one thing’s for sure: this is a wedding that neither one of them will forget.

Arrest Warrant Issued for Christian Gold

According to reports from Media Take Out, an arrest warrant has been issued for Christian Gold in the state of Georgia. Gold, who is currently on probation after serving time for a domestic violence conviction involving his ex, allegedly violated the terms of his probation by leaving the state without permission.

The probation officer became aware of Gold’s unauthorized departure from Georgia through none other than Jennifer Williams’ Instagram account. This discovery has not only complicated Gold’s legal standing but also complicated things for the couple’s upcoming nuptials.

Wedding Plans In Jeopardy

If the arrest warrant news wasn’t bad enough, a recent scene from Basketball Wives added more drama to the situation. In the episode, Christian Gold expressed his concern that his legal troubles might interfere with their dream wedding in Paris. He revealed to Jennifer that they needed to resolve nearly $250,000 in restitution payments—a sum that Jennifer claimed she was hearing about for the first time and one that is nearly equivalent to their wedding expenses.

While fighting these legal challenges, Gold is reportedly seeking a walk-in hearing to avoid incarceration. He hopes to persuade the court to allow him to remain on probation and grant him a travel pass so that he can marry Jennifer in Paris next month.

Amid all this chaos, Jennifer and Christian sat down with Carlos King for an interview that addressed many of the public’s concerns about their relationship. King did not hold back, asking Jennifer how she felt about fans’ concerns about her getting “scammed again.”

Jennifer responded with grace, acknowledging the worries of her fans while making it very clear that she has learned from her past.

“I’m appreciative of people being concerned for me, I’m appreciative of my fans, but here’s the thing: I learned a lot and every single day I ask God for discernment. I have learned tremendously, I have learned from these mistakes that I’ve made,” she said.

Jennifer’s Vision For Her Wedding Day

Despite the looming uncertainty, Jennifer remains focused on making her wedding day unforgettable. In an interview with US Weekly, she shared her plans to make the event truly unique. “I’m definitely not going to be traditional. On my wedding day, I am changing three times,” she revealed. Jennifer is also planning a welcome party on a boat the day before the wedding and a brunch the day after, though she admits she still has some planning to do for her outfits.

There is no official word on whether the wedding ceremony will be filmed for Basketball Wives or VH1. However, Jennifer hopes her fans will continue to witness her journey to finding love.

Shaunie Henderson Says “Trust” Let Her Know Pastor Keion Was The One

Shaunie Henderson says she knew her new hubby, Pastor Keion, was the one because of the “trust” factor.

According to Atlanta Black Star, ‘The Basketball Wives’ executive producer admitted she’s experiencing feelings that she never has before.

On her pastor husband’s YouTube series, ‘Not Your Typical Bible Study,’ she expressed how she knew he was the one God chose for her.

How Shaunie Knew Pastor Keion Was The One

Past Keion asked Shaunie, “How do I know when I meet somebody, ‘that’s my person?’… you know like when the Lord showed you.”

She responded that trust played a major role. In addition to being challenged, which is something she didn’t feel prior to their romance.

“I have an answer for that, ’cause I knew this question,” she said.

“So trust was one. I could trust you. You challenged me and I received the challenge, I wasn’t like rebelling the challenge. I didn’t combat the challenge, I take on the challenge. And that was something that I didn’t feel before…”

What Shaunie Loves About Her New Marriage

In addition, Mrs. Henderson added, she enjoyed how they both sought to understand each other’s love language. It was also an element that was missing in previous relationships.

Shaunie and Shaquille O’Neal were married for nine years. The retired NBA player admitted he was unfaithful. Their marriage ended for this reason.

“I would fight for this relationship. I wanted to understand how you recieved love and you wanted to understand how I received love that’s…that was brand new to me too, to acutally take the time to learn how somebody receives love isn’t just loving them,” she explained.

Furthermore, the former basketball wife appreciates that they are each other’s biggest fan and how they can just hang out and be content.

“I can just be with you and do nothing and that’s important because when you love somebody you gotta love being with them,” she added.

The Hendersons tied the knot in Anguilla in 2021. After she married, Shaunie sent her last name O’Neal to the left.

In her upcoming memoir, ‘UNDEFEATED: Changing the Rules and Winning on My Own Terms,’ she addressed her past. However, the reality star was careful not to slam her ex-husband, Shaq.

She told People, “I always had a fear of sharing too much and of telling my story that involved anybody else.”

“I didn’t want to disrespect someone else’s story, even if it was a part of mine, but as I get older and do more things in the entertainment industry, I found that people have a misconception of who I am,” she added.

Shaunie’s book will be released in May 2024.
