Healthfully Selected by St. Louis Community College for COVID-19 Back-to-School Solution

    [ad_1]

    Press Release

    updated: Oct 21, 2020

Healthfully™, an enterprise healthcare solutions company, announced that St. Louis Community College has selected its Healthfully @ Work solution designed to help educational institutions create safe environments for return to campus. Supporting the college’s health services organization, Healthfully’s management tools and app will provide comprehensive COVID-19 exposure prevention, screening, testing, contact tracing and case management with robust security and HIPAA compliance.

St. Louis Community College is the largest higher educational institution in the region. STLCC has served over 1.2 million students; at least one person in more than one-half of St. Louis area households has attended the College. Enrollment is over 17,000 students across four campuses, two education and two workforce training centers.

The Healthfully @ Work platform offers two essential components:

    ·        Administrator Dashboard. Data received from Healthfully app users, healthcare providers, and labs permit monitoring of:

o   Student/staff compliance with screening, physician visits, testing, and isolation

o   Individual and population based COVID-19 health status

o   Contact tracing and exposure assessment to work locations and individuals

o   Case management  including workflow and policy management, assigned tasks, and case notes.

    ·        Healthfully @ Work App. Students, faculty, and staff use a  web/mobile app to engage COVID-19 resources:

    o   Self-screening and attestation

o   A Hall Pass feature displaying on each individual’s phone a time-stamped, red-yellow-green status based on screening

o   Reminders, alerts and workflow automation

o   Workflow/integration of Provider/Secondary screening, orders, and upload doctor’s notes

o   Workflow/integration: view nearby test sites, get-inline for testing, and upload results

o   Moderated COVID-19 education and support communities

“The Healthfully platform offers administrators an alternative to creating their own tools or relying on multiple apps,” said Paul Viskovich, CEO, Healthfully. “We are pleased to support St. Louis Community College’s return-to-school program with a comprehensive, affordable approach.”

“We had examined several alternatives for COVID-19 management, including developing our own solution,” said Keith R. Hacke, CIO, of St. Louis Community College. “Healthfully had the right functionality for us with ability to have it rapidly implemented.”

Students can send a virtual “thank you” to honor an educator who has made a difference in their life and have a chance to win a donation for their school district

    Press Release

    updated: Sep 5, 2017

As summer winds down, parents, children, and teachers are preparing for a new school year – and all the emotions that go along with it. Excitement, anticipation and hope for a new start, with simultaneous feelings of nervousness, anxiety and unease about a new and unfamiliar experience. PhysicianOne Urgent Care is no stranger to helping turn feelings of unease and anxiety around for their patients. This September, PhysicianOne Urgent Care is honoring local educators and coaches who help students navigate these feelings every day, through a “Thank a Teacher” contest.

During the month of September, community members may submit their “thank you” to the educator who has made a difference in their lives, be it a teacher, coach or administrator. After submitting the digital “thank you,” the recognized educator will receive a personalized thank you email, and will also be entered to win a Dunkin’ Donuts® gift card. Each “thank you” also counts as one vote for the educator’s school district. The school district with the most nominations will receive a donation from PhysicianOne Urgent Care for the 2017-2018 school year.

We are happy to support the educators in our communities who help their students tackle challenges and offer reassurance. Similarly, our experienced providers and clinical staff go beyond practicing high-quality medicine, as patients often walk into our centers feeling nervous and needing reassurance that we care and will help them feel better.

Dr. Jeannie Kenkare, PhysicianOne Urgent Care Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer

“We are happy to support the educators in our communities who help their students tackle challenges and offer reassurance. Similarly, our experienced providers and clinical staff go beyond practicing high-quality medicine, as patients often walk into our centers feeling nervous and needing reassurance that we care and will help them feel better,” said Dr. Jeannie Kenkare, PhysicianOne Urgent Care co-founder and Chief Medical Officer. “We are proud to be able to offer an exceptional experience that supports every patient beyond their broken bone or new and scary symptom.”

Provident Loan Society of New York Giving Away Free Back to School Packets at Every NYC Branch

    [ad_1]

    Press Release

    updated: Aug 25, 2017

The not-for-profit lending organization, Provident Loan Society of New York, is giving away back-to-school supplies at every NYC loan office throughout the month of September.

Back-to-school time can add some serious expenses to the monthly family budget. A survey from Deloitte found that households throughout New York spend an average of $513 on back-to-school supplies like pens and notebooks.

“We know many families in our community face financial challenges when it comes to getting school supplies for their children. We see it in our loan offices – parents asking if they can have extra pens or calculators to give to their kids for school. We’re all in this together. This is one of the ways we can help our community.”

Isaac Rodriquez , CEO of Provident Loan Society

“We know many families in our community face financial challenges when it comes to getting school supplies for their children,” said Isaac Rodriguez, CEO of Provident Loan Society. “We see it in our loan offices – parents asking if they can have extra pens or calculators to give to their kids for school. We’re all in this together. This is one of the ways we can help our community.”

Parents don’t need to be a customer to get a free back-to-school packet. They can simply walk into any Provident Loan Society branch, sign up for their mailing list and ask for a free back-to-school packet.

Provident Loan Society has loan offices in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan. School supplies include a calculator, pen, pencil, eraser, ruler and pencil case.

As one of the country’s oldest lending institutions and only not-for-profit pawn shop, Provident Loan Society of New York has focused its mission on providing financial help to New Yorkers since 1894.

“Provident Loan Society wants to give back in a way that is helpful for all. It’s in the fabric of our DNA,” said Rodriguez. “In October, we will be sponsoring a Halloween street festival in the Bronx, that gives away healthy snack alternatives. During Fleet Week, we gave away shirts and bags to members of the military.”

LearningRx – Reviews 10 Ways Parents Can Partner With Teachers

Brain Training company LearningRx shares tip on how parents can partner with teachers at learningrxblog.com

    Press Release

    Aug 16, 2016

One-on-one brain training company LearningRx is sharing a list of 10 ways parents can partner with teachers. Here are a few from the list:

    1. Offer to help at home. Not everyone can volunteer in the classroom. Parents work, stay home with younger children, take care of sick or elderly family members, or live too far away to make multiple trips to school. But many teachers have things that can be done at home instead. “I have sorted and stapled piles of papers, cut out materials, done online research and sorted art materials into plastic baggies for a craft project,” says one mother of two. If you can spare even an hour a week, ask your child’s teachers what you can do at home to help with materials for the classroom.

I love the tip about how any parent who donates funds to help a classroom can double their money!

Tanya Mitchell, Mom of four school-aged kids

    2. Share good deals. Even if you can’t afford to buy a ton of extra school supplies for the classroom, you can share extra-special deals that you run across. “I make a list of businesses that are offering freebies during Teacher Appreciation Week and give them to my kids’ teachers,” says one mom. “It doesn’t cost me anything and they love knowing about places like Chipotle and Chick-fil-A that offer freebies or BOGO deals.” Sites like Donors Choose and Fund My Classroom let teachers in high-needs communities post requests for financial assistance for specific projects, equipment, field trips and events. “I would donate $25 and then use a promo code I’d find online to get a matching the donation from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, so the teacher would instead get $50 toward her project,” says another mom. “Then I’d share the code with the teacher and other parents, so any parent in the class who donated funds could double their money.”

    3. Donate supplies. Time magazine reports that teachers spent, on average, $500 of their own money on classroom supplies. If you have contacts at stores or large companies, ask if they can donate supplies. (Some schools will even supply you with their tax ID number in order for the company to get a write-off.) You can also check yard sales and thrift shops to pick up cheap deals, or ask the teacher to create a list of classroom “needs” and “wants” that you can offer to copy and share with other parents.
