Double Points for Existing Alaska Airlines Cardholders

Alaska Airlines is sending out mailers to existing cardholders, offering them double points on $2,000 in purchases to celebrate the launch of the new Atmos Rewards program.

    Offer Details

Earn double points on eligible purchases. To celebrate the launch of Atmos Rewards, you can earn bonus points with your Atmos Rewards credit card for up to $2,000 in purchases through October 31, 2025. That means:

    • 6x points on eligible purchases with Alaska and Hawaiian
    • 4x points on gas, EV charging, cable, streaming, and local transit
    • 2x points on all other purchases.

You need to scan the QR code in the mailer to enroll.

    Guru’s Wrap-up

This is a nice and easy promotion for those who are targeted. I’m not sure if all current cardholders are receiving the offer, or only a select few.

With the launch of the new program, Alaska is offering increased 85,000 points bonuses on the Atmos Ascent and Atmos Business cards, as well as a 105,000 points bonus on the Atmos Summit card.

Beginning in 2026, there will be no limit on the number of status points earned in a calendar year.

    Bank of America Application Rules

    • There’s no hard limit on the number of Bank of America credit cards that you can have at one time. But as most other banks, there’s a total credit limit that the bank is willing to extend to you based on your stated income, credit score and other factors. If you hit that limit, then you might need to move credit around to get approved for new credit cards.
    • Bank of America has a 2/3/4 rule. That means that there’s a limit of two cards in the last two months, three cards in the last 12 months, and four cards in the last 24 months. It’s possible that business cards don’t fall under this rule.
    • It’s possible that they merge multiple applications in the same day into just one hard pull.
