    Police investigate video of man getting knocked out by Yankees fan outside Xfinity Live!

    Police are investigating a viral video that shows a man getting smacked to the ground by another man wearing a Yankees jersey outside Xfinity Live! in South Philadelphia. 

    Police provided few details about the altercation when contacted Wednesday afternoon. The video began circulating on X, formerly Twitter, on the World Star Hip Hop account just before 1 a.m. Wednesday. The Yankees have been in town the last three days and completed a series sweep of the Phillies this afternoon at Citizens Bank Park. Police didn’t say whether the incident happened Monday night or after Tuesday night’s game that went into extra innings.

    In the video, a man wearing an Aaron Judge Yankees jersey is seen shouting at a man in a black shirt outside Xfinity Live! near the corner of 11th Street and Pattison Avenue. It’s unclear from the video what led to the argument. The man in the Yankees jersey goads the other man to “swing” at him and start a fight as fans are seen walking away from the ballpark in the background. Then the Yankees fan gets in the man’s face and shouts insults at him before clubbing him on the side of the head and knocking him to the ground. (NOTE: The video below contains explicit language). 

    Police didn’t say whether the man who was knocked out was injured or taken to a hospital. Police also didn’t say whether a suspect had been taken into custody. Authorities said anyone with information about the incident can call the Philadelphia police tip line at (215) 686-TIPS.

    Man wanted for attempted sexual assault in Fishtown, police say

    Philadelphia police are searching for a man who assaulted a woman in Fishtown on Sunday night. 

    The man approached a 24-year-old woman from behind after she left a gym on the 400 block of East Girard Avenue shortly before 8 p.m., police said. He made threats against the woman and assaulted her on the sidewalk, according to investigators. He then fled the scene when the woman began yelling.

    On Thursday, police released surveillance video that shows the suspect walking down Girard Avenue and passing bystanders near the intersection of Girard and Frankford avenues. The man continues down Girard Avenue and is seen stalking the woman from behind just before the assault took place. 

    The suspect is believed to be in his early 30s, police said. He’s about 6 feet tall with a stocky build and a full beard. He was last seen wearing a black Nirvana sweatshirt, a brownish-green winter coat and black Under Armour track pants with white stripes on the side.

    Is there a crime wave happening in Adelaide, and are stronger police powers working? – Medical Marijuana Program Connection

    Reports of anti-social behaviour in Adelaide’s CBD including intoxication, large gatherings, street harassment, and shop theft has seen media headlines declaring a “crime wave” in the city. 

    But are the claims accurate?

    What has been reported so far? 

    Businesses and city-dwellers have been raising concerns about anti-social behaviour in Adelaide’s CBD in recent months — especially in the North Terrace precinct.

    Law student-turned-opposition staffer Simran Bacchal said she regularly felt fearful working in her family’s Bank Street cafe, and had considered abandoning the CBD for a “safer” location.

    “We would witness a crime near the cafe every single day,” she said.

    “We just don’t know what comes next — [people] might hit you, or they might get aggressive, and there have been multiple occasions where this has happened in the cafe.”

    Ms Bacchal said every Monday morning was spent cleaning “alcohol, spit and bodily fluids” from the front of the cafe, pushing her customers away.

    Owner of O’Connell’s Bookshop, Ben O’Connell, said property damage was common in the area, especially overnight, and greater police presence was always welcome.
