Popular YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 3 contestant, Armaan Malik, is back in the headlines. This time, it’s about serious issues involving his personal life, especially around his marriages to Payal Malik and Kritika Malik. For a while now, there have been rumours that Armaan and his first wife, Payal, are heading for a divorce, while he plans to continue life with his second wife, Kritika, who is currently pregnant. According to the report, the High Court has directed Armaan to divorce one of his wives, as per the Hindu Marriage Act, which allows only one legal marriage at a time for Hindus. If he failed to comply, he could face legal consequences. Reportedly, Armaan chose to separate from Payal and has filed for divorce, which the court has now granted.

Legal Trouble Over Multiple Marriages

Back in August 2025, Armaan, along with Payal and Kritika, was summoned by the Patiala District Court. The notice was in response to a petition by Davinder Rajput, who claimed that Armaan wasn’t just married twice but four times, which would be a serious violation of the law. This case highlighted ongoing concerns about Armaan allegedly promoting polygamy.

Their Bigg Boss OTT 3 Entry Sparked Debate

Armaan, Payal, and Kritika entered Bigg Boss OTT 3 as a trio, which drew massive attention and criticism. Many viewers, along with some celebrities, slammed the show’s makers for showcasing a polygamous relationship, calling it a bad influence on society, Amid the backlash, Payal reportedly considered divorcing Armaan, but later decided against it. However, with the latest legal developments, that separation is now happening.

How It All Started

Armaan married Payal in 2011, and they had a son together named Chirayu. Interestingly, Armaan once shared that he and Payal eloped and married just seven days after meeting. In 2018, without divorcing Payal, Armaan married Kritika, his best friend, whom he met at Chirayu’s birthday party. Though there were issues, the trio eventually decided to live as one family. In 2023, the family grew further when Payal gave birth to twins, and Kritika welcomed a baby boy, Zaid.

Allegations of a Fourth Marriage?

Things got even more complicated last year when rumours surfaced that Armaan may have married a fourth time, to a woman named Laksh, who works as a caretaker for his children. These rumours began when people noticed Laksh celebrating Karwa Chauth with “Sandeep” (Armaan’s real name) written in mehendi on her hands.

Payal later clarified that Laksh had a court marriage, but Laksh refused to leave Armaan’s home, claiming it as her own. This only added more fuel to the rumours of a fourth marriage.

During the premiere episode, Salman Khan was shocked when he got to know that Amaal Malik is joining. He even said that he did not believe it when he was told Amaal is participating. Amaal’s brother, Armaan Malik is not happy with his decision to enter the show.

Armaan did root for his brother but when a fan asked him about Amaal’s decision, he said he was not ok with it. Armaan took to X and wrote, “Obviously was never for it, but ab Amaal bhai sahab ko kaun samjhaye. Anyway, boarding school samajhke kuch masti karke aajaye wapas. Taking to her Instagram stories on Thursday, Devoleena shared the clip of Payal’s statement and her thoughts. Devoleena wrote, ‘A person needs a higher level of knowledge to compare interfaith marriage with POLYGAMY, which I am sure intelligent people are quite aware of. And it’s not only my right, but it’s every Indian’s right to stand against such an illegal act like polygamy, which they are quite proud to flaunt on national television. Anyways, it’s a matter of individual fate. Well, in an interview with Instant Bollywood, Payal reacted on Devoleena’s statement about Armaan and his wives – Kritika and Payal. Post eviction, Payal said that Devoleena was criticized after getting married and faced trolls for marrying a Muslim man. She even said that they did not say anything about her life and it is not right for her to comment on their relationship.

This started when Devoleena expressed her point of view about Armaan and his relationship with both his wives and took to X as she tweeted saying, ‘Do you think this is entertainment? This is not entertainment, it’s filth. Don’t make the mistake of taking this lightly because it’s not just a reel, it’s real. I mean, I can’t even understand how anyone can call this shamelessness entertainment. I feel disgusted just hearing about it. Gross. I mean, in just 6/7 days love happened, marriage happened, and then the same thing with the wife’s best friend. This is beyond my imagination’.

Well, Armaan got married to Payal back in 2011 and they are parents to Chirayu Malik. In 2018, Armaan tied the knot with Kritika who is Payal’s best friend and now he is a father to Chirayu, Tuba, Zain and Ayaan.
