    Kings of Leon bring 2024 world tour to Phoenix with August concert

    Tennessee rockers Kings of Leon announced last week a new album and 2024 world tour.

    They’ll stop at Arizona Financial Theatre in downtown Phoenix on Aug. 20.

    Since their debut in 2003, Kings of Leon, which comprises brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill and their cousin Matthew Followill, have released eight albums and won three Grammy Awards. The band will release their highly anticipated ninth full-length studio album, “Can We Please Have Fun,” on May 10 via Capitol Records.

    Fans can sign up for the ticket presale until 11 p.m. Arizona time on Tuesday on the band’s website. Tickets go on sale through the Kings of Leon presale starting Wednesday. For Live Nation presales beginning Tuesday and the general on-sale beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, visit the Ticketmaster website.

    Brit Floyd announced a 2024 world tour Monday morning, and Phoenix is on the schedule.

    The Pink Floyd tribute band will bring the “P-U-L-S-E World Tour” to Arizona Financial Theatre on June 28.

    The tour will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Pink Floyd’s 1994 album “The Division Bell” with a breathtaking audiovisual experience that pays homage to the band’s unique blend of music and visual effects.

    Brit Floyd was recently called “the world’s premier Pink Floyd experience” by Rolling Stone.

    The presale runs 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, and the general on-sale begins at 10 a.m. Friday, all on the Ticketmaster website.

    Vampire Weekend announce first Phoenix concert in a decade

    After years of anticipation, Vampire Weekend delighted fans last week when they announced “Only God Was Above Us,” their first new album in five years, would debut April 5.

    Friday morning, the band released the schedule for their upcoming North American tour.

    They’ll perform on June 9 at Arizona Financial Theatre. La Lom is the opening act.

    It’s been so long since Vampire Weekend played a show in the Valley that the venue has gone through two name changes; they performed at Comerica Theatre (once Arizona Federal Theatre, now Arizona Financial Theatre) on Sept. 27, 2013.

    The Citi Entertainment presale runs from 10 a.m. Tuesday to 10 p.m. Thursday. The band’s presale begins at 10 a.m. Thursday on the Vampire Weekend website. The general on-sale will begin at 10 a.m. on Feb. 23 on the band’s website.

    Singer-songwriter Mon Laferte announced Wednesday that her 2024 “Autopoiética” tour will bring her to Phoenix.

    She’ll perform on May 28 at Arizona Financial Theatre.

    Mon Laferte, born Norma Monserrat Bustamante Laferte, is the best-selling Chilean artist of the 21st century, and has won four Latin Grammys. Her ninth studio album, “Autopoiética,” was released in November 2023.

    Tickets for her May 28 show went on sale Thursday morning; tickets are still available beginning at $86.50.
