A whole host of celebrities were there to give the show the send-off it deserved, including Girls Aloud, Alison Hammond, Rylan Clark, Simon Cowell, and more.

Dec was crowned the champion of Ant vs Dec, and a range of celebrities, including Holly Willoughby and Oti Mabuse, got their revenge on the duo in a hilarious edition of Get Out Of Me Ear.

There were plenty of giveaways too, with several viewers and audience members winning holidays and prizes.

However, whilst it was a true celebration, the duo inevitably grew emotional as the end of the show neared.

With minutes to go, Ant and Dec choked back tears as they thanked the audience for supporting them over the years.

Dec was fighting to keep his emotions in check as he confessed they’d only expected to do SNT for a “couple of years”, let alone 20.

As they grew tearful, they then joined McFly to sing a SNT-version of All About You.

The show ended with all the celebrities, including Jordan North, Kasabian, S-Club 7, and Josie Gibson to name a few belting out a rendition of Celebrations.

The show then ended with Ant and Dec waving goodbye to rapturous applause.

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway tonight: Fans in stitches over Lorraine Kelly’s Get Out Of Me Ear prank: ‘Top tier TV’

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway fans were in stitches as Lorraine Kelly took part in tonight’s Get Out Of Me Ear.

The segment, which saw Lorraine in John Lewis, was branded the “best undercover ever” by some fans!

Saturday Night Takeaway tonight: Lorraine Kelly goes undercover

Tonight’s edition of the show saw Lorraine make an appearance.

The Scottish star, host of her eponymous show, Lorraine, took part in an undercover prank, which saw her cause mayhem at a shopping centre.

“I can’t believe what I got away with,” Lorraine said at the start of the segment.

The 64-year-old was then shown going undercover in John Lewis.

After some funny conversations with strangers, in which she pretended to know them, Lorraine was shown trying on outfits with members of the public.

However, as the segment went on, Lorraine’s behaviour got more and more extreme (thanks to Ant and Dec, of course).

    Lorraine’s hilarious Undercover segment

At one point during the segment, Lorraine was told by Ant and Dec to start eating a bowl of cereal in the middle of the shop.

The Geordie duo then instructed the star to tip the lot on the shop floor! Lorraine did so, before pretending that someone else had done it.

Lorraine also drank champagne from a shoe and stripped a mannequin.

The segment ended with Lorraine packing a big wash bag with clothes, before leaving the store and playing the bagpipes up the escalator.

However, once she got to the top of the escalator, Ant and Dec told her to empty the bag and throw the clothes over the balcony onto the shop floor.

“See you on the telly! Bye, losers!” Lorraine shouted as baffled shop staff and security watched her hilarious exit.

Fans of the show were full of praise for the segment – and for Lorraine – once it had finished. Many took to Twitter to gush over it.

“Lorraine was brilliant,” one fan tweeted. “What a riot that was #SaturdayNightTakeaway. Everyone in that shopping mall must have thought you’d lost your marbles. The best Get Out of Me Ear EVER Lorraine you crazy lady,” another then said.

“Gotta say, Lorraine Kelly was brilliant, had me crying with laughter…,” a third wrote.

“Alright Lorraine, that was pretty iconic,” another said. “One of the best Get Out Of My Ear Pranks Ever! Loved that from Lorraine,” a fifth gushed.

“That was absolutely top tier tv what a good sport she was,” another added.

  • Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway fans distracted by ads for Celebrity Big Brother as ITV branded ‘desperate for viewers’

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway fans distracted by ads for Celebrity Big Brother as ITV branded ‘desperate for viewers’

    [ad_1]

Ant and Dec were back on the box with Saturday Night Takeaway tonight (March 2) – but viewers were more than a little distracted by the ads that kept popping up during the show.

Complaints about ad breaks aren’t unusual on a Twitter hashtag, as anyone who’s watched along when Dancing On Ice is on the telly will know. However, the complaints levelled at the show – hosted by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly – tonight weren’t about the volume of ads.

Instead, viewers complained about the “desperate” ads that kept popping up for the upcoming series of Celebrity Big Brother. It starts on ITV1 on Monday night (March 4) – a fact viewers of Saturday Night Takeaway admitted they couldn’t fail to notice.

Complaints pour in over tonight’s Saturday Night Takeaway

It seems not all Saturday Night Takeaway fans are planning on watching Celebrity Big Brother. Either that or they’re sick and tired of seeing reminders for the new series flashing up on screen during their weekly Ant and Dec fix.

In amongst the fun and games on screen, viewers also spotted numerous plugs for Celebrity Big Brother.

For example, one flashed up during the segment where the boys took over the ticket booth in a London cinema. A clip of CBB hosts Aj Odudu and Will Best also featured as the show went into its ad breaks.

And the comments soon came flooding in.

    ‘Desperate’

“Is Big Brother starting on Monday by any chance?” one viewer tweeted sarcastically.

You can’t think that ITV may be a bit desperate for viewers for Celebrity Big Brother?

ITV is going hard on the advertising of #CBB on #SaturdayNightTakeaway,” said a second. “Lots of promotion for CBB tonight,” said another.

Another, meanwhile, branded ITV “desperate for viewers” over the ad campaign.

“You can’t think that ITV may be a bit desperate for viewers for Celebrity Big Brother?” they tweeted.

So what do you think? Did you notice the ads – and will you be watching CBB on Monday?
